Excellent service and extremely friendly service paired with high quality food

If you ever take the cable car up, you should stop here. In winter when there is snow it is really cozy here and you can enjoy the great ambience and the view with a cup of tea or coffee or eat a delicious meal. I can only recommend a trip here.

We only had drinks (coffee and hot chocolate). Considering that they were only instant drinks, we were very disappointed for the price (almost €5 per drink). But there is nothing to complain about in terms of the ambience and service.

A good selection of food to suit every taste. There is also a great children's menu. The atmosphere is very warm and the staff offers excellent service. I had pre-ordered breakfast for 22 people. Everything was well organized. We sat separately and a buffet was set up for us. Everything was there so everyone found something tasty. Our vegetarian also had enough choice. Everything was replenished abundantly. It was very pleasant that no one looked at the clock and we didn't feel pressured to finish breakfast in any way. So we sat comfortably together in the inn until almost 2 p.m. The only drawback was that we couldn't start until 10:30 a.m. (the cable car doesn't start until 10:30 a.m.). That was quite late for breakfast for some guests. We had wonderful weather with snow and sunshine, so we had a wonderful view of Bad Lauterberg. I can only recommend the location and would be happy to come back.

Actually, we just wanted to enjoy the great view of Bad Lauterberg during the New Year's Eve fireworks from the local mountain, but then we noticed that the location upstairs was also open for "walk-in customers" and went in. In a really great, cozy location that invites you to linger and celebrate, we were warmly welcomed, invited to a New Year's champagne and Berliner and we were also spontaneously offered a table. Unfortunately we couldn't stay longer, but we have our sights set on this place for New Year's Eve 2025 and would be happy to recommend it to others. Just beautiful there!👍👍👍

After I asked if we could order and was harshly told that we had only been sitting for a short time, the order was not carried out correctly. But a nice view from the terrace.

This was an uphill hike with a 21% gradient. The soups were great and the beer 🍺 delicious.

It's great to ride the cable car up and down, even if it's a little foggy. I ate the best yeast dumplings in the world there, with the best vanilla sauce... a dream. The location has a traditional ambience suitable for the Harz Mountains. The service is very friendly and accommodating.

I went there for dinner today, I was pleasantly surprised by the ambience and service! 👌 When the food I ordered arrived and I took the first bite, the WOW 😱 effect came -> it was really hot, which you rarely experience with cheese spaetzle, even in the spaetzle region of Germany you've never had it so hot! Taste was very good and that Very generous portion for me! A clear recommendation from me ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We celebrated our wedding on the local mountain in August. Unfortunately I can only give this 5 stars, otherwise we would have given 6 stars. Everything, really everything, went really well. Mr. Riedel is very accommodating and flexible with all your wishes. We would particularly like to highlight the food and the service. We have never eaten such a good buffet at a party. Without exception, all dishes were cooked to perfection and tasted great. Even the wedding ice cream cake was homemade and tasted world class. The service team was quick as the wind, attentive and very friendly. All guests were provided with drinks at all times. It was an unforgettable day and the entire Hausberg team contributed to it. Thank you very much again at this point. We will definitely host the next celebration on the local mountain again.

We celebrated our wedding here in July 2022 and it was simply amazing! First the food: the advice on eating and drinking was very good and exactly suited our taste. We asked for several locations and the prices are similar everywhere. Here the drinks are not billed as a flat rate, but rather based on actual consumption. It was worth it for us. And you can tell that four chefs are having fun here simply by the selection and taste. The service was also A1. Boss and team are very nice. Everyone was friendly and in a good mood until 5 a.m. The location is of course unique. When (almost) all guests first take the castle cable car up, it's a real experience and so is the return trip in the shuttle. Another plus point is the good cooperation with other service providers, such as: B. Flower shop, cable car or DJ. If you really want something from the landlord, you should call instead of emailing. ;) We can only recommend a celebration on the local mountain!

We walked up the mountain and it was worth it. Great view. But looking at the menu shocked us. That's not normal... We ordered a coffee that we couldn't enjoy. What justifies such exorbitant prices?

The climb to the local mountain is definitely worth it, but the option of taking the cable car also makes this trip worthwhile. The food was very tasty, in our case the ham grill plate and asparagus plate were beautifully presented. The Aperol in a nice big glass, I would have liked to see my woodruff lemonade in there too. It was very windy on the outside terrace, but there were blankets and an enchanting view. We'd love to come back.

In any case, I can recommend this one. There is a great view from the restaurant, directly from the outside area looking out over the valley, Bad Lauterberg. Either take the cable car up or take the hiking route. I will definitely go there again. 👌😊 Employees are very nice. Coffee tastes good. 👍😊

Very nicely located restaurant on the local mountain of Bad Lauterberg. Easily reached by chairlift or, a little more strenuously, on foot. When the weather is nice you can enjoy the view from the large terrace. The service was quick, friendly and the food (cakes) were delicious. I'd love to come back.

The wheat on tap was to die for. We hiked up from the parking lot. Approx. 700 m at 70 meters altitude. This was easy to do and was fun. The view of Bad Lauterberg is great when you sit on the terrace.

Had dinner on the local mountain today. Starting with a witch mushroom soup and then moving on to the local mountain pan... simply delicious, fresh and deliciously prepared. The food is divided into pretty good food, which looks like it is home-made, which is also tasty, and cheap canteen food, which also tastes exactly the same. Unfortunately, this inferior food also lowers the level of the higher quality food. All in all it's way too expensive for the quality! The ambience, however, is very appealing and the employees are friendly.

We took the cable car up and there is a great view of Bad Lauterberg from the terrace. Since all the seats outside were full, we went inside. We asked for a place there. The service person said we could sit at the window. She immediately said that the table was still dirty, but she would clean it straight away. We ordered a drink and looked at the menus. Our eyes almost popped out. The absolute highlight was a Strammer Max with two eggs (which are offered in the farm shop for 0.35 ct) for a total of €18.40!!! The other prices were also shocking. When the waitress didn't clean the table after ten minutes (she preferred to talk to her colleagues) we paid and left. Beer 🍺(0.5 l): €5.50 (March 2024)

Every time we are in Bad Lauterberg our first route leads to the local mountain. This time, because of the snow, we took the lift up and down. If you are good on foot, you can also take the steep path. Our tip: hike from the Hausberg to the Bismarkturm! The staff at the local mountain is always nice. Inside it is "homely" decorated and outside you have a wonderful view of Bad Lauterberg and the surrounding area. Due to the weather (November 30th and snow) this time there was delicious mulled wine and a huge piece of cake. But the Aperol is also great.

There are quite a few seats, so it's easy to get a table. The view is great. The restaurant is easy to reach with the lift, but the climb on foot is otherwise relatively steep.

Am Wochenende konnten wir bei bester Aussicht einen Kaffee hier genießen. Trotz voller Terrasse war die Bedienung freundlich und schnell.

Wir haben bei Jens Riedel und seinem Team unsere Hochzeit gefeiert und waren rundum absolut zufrieden - angefangen von einer sehr angenehmen Planung und Menüabsprache, über ein fantastisches Essen, das keine Wünsche offen ließ, exzellentem Service und einem tollen Ambiente für unsere Feier von 100 Leuten hat für uns alles absolut gepasst und wir können den Hausberg nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen und kommen gern wieder.

Von hier oben hat man wirklich einen schönen Überblick über Bad Lauterberg. Egal ob man hier hoch wandert oder mit dem Sessellift hoch und wieder runter fährt, es lohnt sich bei gutem Wetter auf jedenfall. Wir haben den Aufstieg über den Wald genommen, der teilweise schon recht steil ansteigt, jedenfall für denjenigen der aus dem flachen Norden kommt. Dennoch haben wir es sehr genossen.

Sehr zu empfehlen, das Essen war sehr gut und reichlich, der Service sehr freundlich, alles in allem immer wieder gern wenn wir hier sind. Top!!!

Endlich mal ein Schnitzel was keine Tk Ware war ,es war sehr gut und lecker . Der Preis ist absolut 👍 . Komme gern wieder 😀 PS auch die Schweinemedalions waren Top.

Sehr gutes Essen. Personal z. T. etwas unaufmerksam. Laut eigener Website bis 18:00 geöffnet. Wir waren gegen 16:50 am Restaurant. Bedienpersonal ist mehrfach am Tisch vorbeigegangen, ohne eine Bestellung aufzunehnen. Um 17:05 kam dann, nach höflicher Bitte, die Bestellung aufzunehmen, die Bedienung an den Tisch. Wir seien zu spät für das Essen dran. Habe angemerkt, dass wir bewusst VOR 17:00 bei Restaurant waren. Ok, sie versucht in der Küche ihr Glück. Nein, man könnte statt Schnitzel / Käsespätzle nur 2x Currywurst anbieten. Die Küche hätte die Herdplatten schon weggemacht. :-( Schade. Wir sind gegangen. Ist das Kundenservice? Wäre fair, wenn man im Internet 'ehrliche' Öffnungszeiten (-> 17:00) veröffentlichen würde. Auf der Website steht nirgends, dass die Küche um 17:00 schließt.

Diese Bergaststätte ist für mich einer meiner Lieblingsorte im 🌲Harz🌲.kennengelernt 2016 als ich in der wunderbaren REHA-KLINIK Am Burgraben im Mai 2016 verweilt habe.Der Besitzer Jens Riedel ist ein empatischer und lojaler Mensch u.Freund,und hervorragender Koch.Mein Lieblingsgericht:Schweine-Medallions mit Knödel und Legga?Soße😂🤣👍👍👍Ein eiskaltes schönes "Diesel Pils" dazu -am besten mit Schwarzbier-,macht das Essen und den Ort zum Hightlight‼️‼️‼️Die Auffahrt mit dem Sesselift,ist schon das erste Abenteuer‼️ Eine richtig schöne Insel der Entspannng über den Dächern von Bad Lauterberg mit Panorama über das gesammte Tal. Die Aussicht ist fantastisch, ganz im Gegensatz zu dem Verhalten des Eigentümers. Ungefähr es geht nicht mal darum, dass er die Öffnungszeiten nach Belieben ändert und damit es schwierig ist, sich auf diese anzupassen. Es geht auch nicht darum, dass seine Flyers von vorne bis hinten diesbezüglich nicht stimmen. Es geht um Art und Weise, wie er die ( in meinen Augen) darauf bezogene berechtigte Kritik aufnimmt. Und diese Reaktion ist mmn. an Arroganz kaum zu überbieten. Die Kunden sollten sich laut ihm einfach sich anpassen und er fühle sich berechtig alles nach Belieben zu verändern, wenn es ihm recht ist ( so in etwa). Egal, ob das Essen in dem Laden lecker ist oder nicht, bei dem Verhalten werde ich das Restaurant allein aus Prinzip nicht mehr aufsuchen. In diesem Land gibt es …zig Hausberge mit wunderbaren Aussichten und viel freundlicheren Wirten.

Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker und der Service freundlich. Schade nur, dass Hunde mit uns Restaurant dürfen. Daher 1 Punkt Abzug.

Groß, sehr gemütlich eingerichtet mit tollen Blick über Bad Lauterberg. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Preise angemessen. Der Service war auch freundlich.

Immer wieder schön, selbst im Februar ist die Aussicht an einem sonnigen Tag sensationell. Wir haben dort vor 15 Jahren geheiratet und können dies nur jedem, der eine besondere Location sucht weiter empfehlen. Uns zieht es jedes Jahr wieder zum Hausberg und es ist jedes Mal wieder so schön wie vor 15 Jahren und alle sind so freundlich wie damals!

Wir sind hier eingekehrt und waren recht angetan von der Speisekarte mit gutbürgerlicher Küche, vor allem den vielen Knödel-/Kloßvarianten. Die Portionen waren groß und alles war sehr lecker. Leider konnte die (freundiche!) Servicekraft weder Auskünfte zu den Gerichten geben, noch sich merken, wer was bestellt hatte. Wir haben auch fast 45 Minuten auf das Essen gewartet, obwohl außer unserem nur 2 weitere Tische besetzt waren. Der Aperol Spritz steht mit Beeren in der Karte und kam ohne. Dennoch empfehlenswert, vor allem, wenn im Sommer noch die gute Aussicht von der Terrasse hinzu kommt.

Wir sind nach einem langen Spaziergang zum Mittagessen in die Gaststätte "Zum Hausberg" eingekehrt. Das Ambiente ist nett, die Bedienung höflich aber nicht wirklich das was man erwartet. Leider war unser Essen auch nur sehr durchschnittlich. Mein Wildgulasch mit Spätzle und Rotkohl wurde auf einen nicht sehr ansprechenden Teller (klein, dunkel und mit einer Art Kante) serviert. Das Gulasch hatte einen etwas säuerlichen Geschmack, als wenn es vorher in Essigwasser eingelegt wurde. Der Rotkohl hatte eine scharfe Note und die Spätzle waren leider sehr trocken. Die Portion war ausreichend hätte aber ein klein wenig mehr sein dürfen. Für den Preis von 21,90 Euro alles in allem nur durchschnittlich. Auch der französische Rotwein war ein Griff ins Leere. Hatte ein sehr starken Barrique Charakter, wovon aber auf der Karte nichts zu lesen war. Unterm Strich leider kein tolles Erlebnis.

Sehr schönes Ambiente mit super Ausblick... Leider unfreundliches Personal, man wird nach Ewigkeiten immernoch nicht bedient, will man sich rein setzen weil die Wespen zur Plage werden wird man angemufft . Haben nur was getrunken und sind woanders hin zum Essen .

Wir waren heute zu viert dort oben Essen. Die Lage ist wirklich toll, man hat auf der Terrasse einen herrlichen Ausblick. Wir waren zum Glück um 12:30 da vor dem Ansturm. Als wir gingen bildeten sich lange Schlangen auf der Treppe. Vielleicht muss man öfter zu den wartenden gehen sie zu informieren oder zu beruhigen. Wir saßen in der Ecke und haben das Wetter genossen. Es war wirklich perfekt. Wir wurden auch zeitnah sehr witzig freundlich bedient und sogar gab es gute Tipps. Das Essen war bei uns alles sehr gut und reichlich. Wenn man nicht so großen Hunger hat, sollte man sich etwas teilen. Der Stramme Max hätte für zwei gereicht. Camembert war ein großes Stück und keine runden kleinen Stücke.

Schöner Ausblick über Bad Lauterberg. Es erwartet einen gut bürgerliche Küche zu annehmbaren Preisen. Service war freundlich und aufmerksam.

Bei einem Tagesausflug in Bad Lauterberg fuhren wir mit dem schnuckeligen Sessellift auf den Hausberg. In der Berggaststätte bekamen wir den letzten freien Tisch. Trotzdem wurden wir zügig und freundlich bedient. Sie führen leckere Kaffeespezialitäten und köstöiches Eis. Besonders der Schwedenbecher hat es uns angetan. Die Fahrt auf den Berg ist überaus lohnenswert und mit Glück bekommt man einen Platz mit fantastischer Aussicht auf Bad Lauterberg.

Leider hat es die Bedienung nicht für nötig gehalten unsere Bestellung aufzunehmen. Stattdessen hat sie sich lieber mit dem einzigen anderen besetzten Tisch über das Schlafverhalten ihres Hundes unterhalten. Sind nach 20 Minuten noch immer hungrig gegangen.

Traumhafter Ausblick und das Essen schmeckt auch sehr gut. Die Terrasse ist wunderschön und man kann während des gesamten Aufenthalts eine fantastische Aussicht genießen.

Haben mit Freunden dort zu Mittag gegessen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und die Portionen sehr groß. Geschmeckt hat es auch und der Blick über Bad Lauterberg war phantastisch.

Sehr freundliche und fixe Bedienung (dafür, dass sie an einem sonnigen Freitagnachmittag scheinbar allein im Service war umso mehr), leckeres Bier, zünftige Currywurst und schmackhafter Salat bei sehr schöner Aussicht. Hinterher mit der schnuckeligen Seilbahn wieder runter, lohnt sich, machen wir wieder!

Ja, es ist wirklich rustikal, aber die Bedienung freundlich und aufmerksam. Der Aufstieg über den Wanderweg mag keine besondere Herausforderung darstellen, empfohlen wird dennoch die muckelige Bummelseilbahn. In gemütlichen Doppelsitzern baggert einen die Bahn 110 m höher. Die beiden stämmigen „Liftboys“ wirken, als könnten sie die Anlage auch mit purere Muskelkraft am Laufen halten. Oben angekommen überwältigt einen zuerst die Aussicht, dann die Mächtigkeit der servierten schmackhaften Essenportionen. Bergsteigerformat - allerdings eher Zugspitze.
