We were looking for a place in the shade and the waitress noticed. When we were seated the service came after 15 minutes. We can't sit here, a closed society will emerge later.

As soon as we sat down, we noticed the crumpled menu. The vegan starter plate saves on the Greek specialties. This mainly consisted of a loveless salad without much dressing. But the few fried vegetables tasted very good. The souvlaki plates were very tasty, but the minced meat in the bifteki was too soft and not well seasoned. But the view is very nice. Perhaps it would be better to use it as a beer garden than for a culinary trip to Greece.

The restaurant has its own parking lot and is located high in Esslingen. From the beer garden there is a wonderful, wide view over the valley to the television towers. As soon as we sat down, we got clouds of smoke from the neighboring table and wanted to leave straight away. The staff noticed this and immediately offered us another table. So we stayed and ordered food and drinks. The very young waitresses were sometimes a bit inexperienced, but that will definitely change. The drinks came quickly, the food came with a slight delay. Quantity and taste (Mousaka and Zeus plates) were good and the prices are completely ok.

We were satisfied, everything tasted good and the service was good! Update: Quality of service varies greatly depending on who is there at the time. And: Please check the menus and replace them if necessary - thank you!

It's so beautiful there, a lovely quiet location and there's a big meadow next to it, so it's really great for children who can let off steam there. The food is so beautifully prepared, I have never seen such beautiful food 🙈 and it was so delicious!!! We will come back degeneratively 🙌🔥

The staff was completely overwhelmed on Saturday. The boss in particular made you feel like you were a nuisance. Just asking for cutlery, which wasn't there, made you turn the corners of your mouth down and roll your eyes. The side salad we ordered was not dressed at all. Asked for a dressing or vinegar & oil but was completely ignored. The gyro was not well fried and was also tough. The tomato rice served with it was lukewarm on one side and cold on the other. I only ate half of everything. The only thing that was nice was the view from the terrace into the Neckar Valley. Food: Bad Service: Disastrous View: Beautiful

We waited 1 hour for our drinks, after 1.5 hours the salad came and after 2 hours our food. The service was subpar as nothing happened despite repeated requests. The staff was visibly overwhelmed. In addition to a large party in the restaurant, the beer garden was opened at the same time and the staff could not cope with the occupancy, so the service in the beer garden suffered greatly. We will not visit this restaurant again.

Service makes you wait and is not motivated. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food because we didn't get anything.

Very nice view over Esslingen. At night you also get a table lamp. The clicking of the terrace tiles as soon as someone walked really annoyed me. Salad dressing with too much vinegar. The potato slices are too thin and taste dry, like chips. Galaktoboureki was a failure, just fil without semolina and very small, the scoop of vanilla ice cream that came with it was also puny. Unfortunately no variation of the order is possible (especially changing the types of meat). Wouldn't eat there again. Plus point, there is a very nice cat to keep you company.

Nice Greek restaurant with delicious food.

Unfortunately not a nice experience. We had to wait 70 minutes from ordering for the food, but between arriving and getting the menu, between ordering the menu and ordering drinks, and between ordering drinks and eating, about 10-15 minutes each passed. The cards were dirty and falling apart. When the food finally came we were quite disappointed, and it wasn't just because we had to get the cutlery ourselves. The potato slices in particular were bland and clearly frozen. The rice listed among the dishes on the menu didn't come at all, a special request (salad without onion) was not taken into account, and the first main course came half an hour before the other dishes. And the service? Noticeably uncoordinated, sometimes not speaking German, but above all not friendly. No hello, no please and thank you, no apology for the inconvenience. The general reason for the lack of service: it was just full. But you have to be able to deal with it, especially in the form of a friendly demeanor, then everything wouldn't have been so bad. After eating, our stomachs rumbled strangely. Of course we won't be coming back, that's understandable.

The food itself would have been good if we hadn't received it without cutlery and had to wait a long time for the cutlery. The side salad also came as dessert. The tables around us felt the same way. In addition, the portion sizes of the daily meal were highly variable. A table had the day's food put back after dinner because the staff was so confused. When we were told that they had already eaten, the waitress ran away again, and shortly afterwards another waitress came with the food. After the same comment, she snapped at the guests that they should have said that right away... So the service and politeness leave a lot to be desired.

Had lunch there today Potato slices were half raw, gyros were old and hard, I made this known when paying, was completely ignored, not good form.

After our arrival we were served promptly and mostly in a friendly manner. We both decided on lunch, specifically the grill plate. The food came to the table surprisingly quickly - even before the drinks. The meat was excellent: juicy, flavorful and wonderfully tender, there's nothing to complain about. The fries were also solid and well prepared. The tzatziki could have been a little more intense for my taste, but was still tasty. The only thing that was negative was the salad dressing - it seemed as if oil had just been mixed with water, which took away any flavor from the salad. At the end we were served a small dessert, which was also okay. The price-performance ratio is really convincing. Although the portions weren't huge, the fries made the dish quite filling. Overall, a restaurant that I would happily recommend.

The food came in stages, there were two of me there and I had to wait forever for my food while the other person had already had their food. You had to wait forever, when the food came to me after 1 hour it was the wrong dish, so I waited another hour. Salads were also forgotten. Some of the services didn't speak German. Drinks also took a long time to arrive. No organization, all chaos. At least they apologized. It wasn't fun, I'm not coming anymore.

We were there today for the first and last time. Disastrous service. Asked twice what you wanted to drink. The waitress at the table and asked food, drink? Just as! Not what do you want to drink or have you already chosen something to drink. No, just eat and drink! Then I still forgot something and brought something wrong. Food looked good but tasted completely tasteless. This restaurant could do a lot more with a good chef and good employees. Unfortunately, service that day was subpar. Ordered drinks correctly but got them wrong. Then a main course was brought to the table that we hadn't ordered after we had all already finished. When we paid, we didn't pay attention to the fact that the extra menu that we hadn't ordered was also included on the bill. In principle, no problem up to this point. But when we pointed this out, they simply wanted to give us 15 euros even though we had paid 20 euros too much. The waiter was older and couldn't read the price on the menu and then responded with "I don't understand you because I don't speak German." Which is really not okay. Unfortunately not the first time. And it only happens when the boss isn't there. The service and food in Esslingen in the city center are really great.

We ate here for the second time today because we really liked the food on our first visit. Today the food was again very tasty. Unfortunately the service was very poor. We had to wait a very long time for our drinks. Unfortunately, when we ordered our food, the main course came first and the starter much later. The third starter then took a very long time to arrive, meaning we ate all three alone. We would also have liked to have another drink, unfortunately there was no service anywhere in sight. Guests at the neighboring table also had to run into the restaurant themselves to get a new drink. When we told the waitress that we would like to pay, she said she would let the boss know. What poor service with average food! Very bad, completely unmotivated staff. The food came 15 minutes apart for 3 people (so we couldn't eat together), no cutlery on the table, empty plates weren't cleared away for an hour, and no one came to reorder drinks. We had to wait another 20 minutes for the bill and then, when we complained, we were harassed by the unfriendly boss. The food was ok, but nothing more. There is no reason to eat here!

First of all: the food was really delicious. Unfortunately, a visit here is no fun due to the extremely poor service. We ordered two starters and a main course. The main course came first, about 20 minutes later the first starter and half an hour later the last one. So eating in stages was the order of the day. We would have liked to drink something more, unfortunately there was no waiter available. The empty plates remained on the table until the end. Our request for the bill was not passed on, we preferred to watch football on the screen. Unfortunately, the crowning glory was the boss's behavior: in response to our criticism, there was no apology or explanation. Rather, we were told in a very unfriendly manner that we didn't need to repeat ourselves and that he wasn't interested in our feedback. The table in front of and behind us felt the same way. Another table including a menu and drinks was waiting for its guests, who probably left the restaurant hours ago. But you didn't notice that 🤷🏼‍♀️ It's a shame, we won't come again either.

Nice beer garden with a view over Esslingen's heights and the Filder plain to the Swabian Alb when the weather is nice. Everyone is sure to find something to eat on the menu. The Greek cuisine is good and the service is friendly.

We came here for lunch and absolutely loved it! Friendly staff, very good food. Just a family business. And a great beer garden with a view. We had different meals (see photos) and everything was delicious - oh - we also had a side salad that was included with the meal, I didn't take a photo of it.

We always liked coming here because the food was good and the service was nice. Now we were quite disappointed and we don't know whether the food was good. First we waited forever for the drinks. Guests who came after us were served before us. After almost 60 minutes of waiting for our food, we ran out of time and energy. Staff brought out food for newer guests and didn't even look our way. When I went in to pay for the drinks, I was grumpily told that I didn't have to come back. Fits, we can also financially support other restaurants where we are welcome as guests. Mistakes can happen, but such behavior is extremely unprofessional and I don't have to put up with it.

To be honest, I'm very surprised and in a good way! We were expecting a standard Greek restaurant. But I have to be honest, the food was A1. It couldn't have been better! Beautifully prepared, quite quick and really tastes great. We were more than satisfied with everything. We would like to come again.

Food is good and plentiful. Ambiance is just a clubhouse. Otherwise nice. Salad could have used more dressing, but you could add more seasoning at the table. But the Greek particles were extremely tasty.

I've been eating here since I was little, wonderful ambience and service. The food is second to none, always full and in a good mood. My recommendation: Gyros in Metaxasouce, there is no better dish anywhere and I have ordered this from many. Highly recommended to everyone

Schönes Restaurant mit griechisch, deutscher Küche. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und hat normale Preise. Es liegt am Stadtrand und ermöglicht so gleich einen Verdauungsspaziergang im Wald und Feld.

Das wichtigste zuerst. Das Essen hat köstlich geschmeckt und erfüllte meine Erwartungen. Allerdings hatte die Bedienung(en) einen völlig schlechten Tag erwischt und/oder war(en) völlig überfordert. Es hat volle 90 Minuten gedauert, bis wir unser Essen bekamen. Unsere Tochter erhielt ihr Essen bereits soweit im voraus, dass sie schon 10 Minuten fertig war, bevor der Rest das Essen erhielt. Zudem wurden falsche Getränk serviert oder in einem Fall sogar gar nicht, was sie jedoch nicht daran gehindert hatten es dennoch auf die Rechnung zu schreiben. Stellenweise lagen wir längere Zeit auf dem Trockenen, weil es länger dauerte oder niemand kam zum Nachbestellen. Bei 30 Grad war das unangenehm. Ich hätte mir außerdem gewünscht, die Bedienungen hätten konsequent die Corona Maske getragen, wie es zu dieser Zeit die Regeln vorschrieben, statt sie nur am Kinn zu tragen. Das Restaurant war randvoll, was sicherlich an der sehr schönen Aussicht und dem tollen Außenbereich lag .

Lecker griechische Küche, leider hat das Essen diesmal sehr lange gedauert, fast zwei Stunden. Da ich es dort anders kenne, betrachte ich es als Ausnahme.

Essen war früher besser. ----- Nachtrag 10.10.2023: Es wird heute von Seiten der Betreiber versucht, meine Rezension mittels Anwalt löschen zu lassen... Ganz üble Masche! Wenn von Ihnen noch was kommt, schalte ich den Rechtsanwalt ein! Seien Sie über 2 Sterne froh! Ich sehe mittlerweile viele, die Ihnen nur 1 Stern geben.

Update: Als Local Guide ist es mir wichtig immer meine Erfahrungen mit der Community zu teilen und auf positive, aber auch negative Punkte aufmerksam zu machen. Das hilft auf der einen Seite den Gästen bei der Auswahl des Restaurants, aber auf der anderen Seite auch den Betreibern bei der Verbesserung ihres Angebots. Wie man an meinen Bewertungen sehen kann, war ich hier in der Vergangenheit immer objektiv. Leider musste ich jetzt feststellen, dass das Restaurant Zeus anwaltlich gegen negative Bewertungen vorgeht. Mir wurde hier unter anderem Persönlichkeitsverletzung vorgeworfen. Des weiteren wurde ein Nachweis gewünscht, dass ich tatsächlich Gast im Restaurant war. Diese Bewertung ist jetzt über 8 Jahre her! Wenn ich auf das Schreiben nicht innerhalb von 7 Tage reagieren würde, wird meine Bewertung hier gelöscht. Auf mich hat das natürlich auch eine einschüchternde Wirkung, was zu dem Gedanken führt, meine Bewertung hier einfach löschen zu lassen. Macht man das mit allen negativen Bewertungen so, gibts ganz plötzlich viel weniger davon :) Sollten mich weitere Schreiben von Anwälten erreichen, werde ich wohl meinen Rechtsschutz bemühen müssen. Ich persönlich habe vom führen eines Restaurants ja nicht besonders viel Ahnung. Was aber sicherlich helfen würde, ist das Geld lieber in das eigene Restaurant anstelle von Anwälten zu stecken. Daher werde ich jetzt meine ursprünglichen zwei Sterne auf einen reduzieren und das Restaurant weiterhin meiden. Ursprüngliche Bewertung von 30.08.2015: Das war jetzt schon mein 2. Besuch in diesem Restaurant und jedes Mal gab es extrem lange Wartezeiten. Das erste mal vor ein paar Jahren ca. 3 Stunden. Heute waren es "nur" 1 1/2 Stunde. Das Personal wirkt unorganisiert und spricht kaum Deutsch. Nichtmal die eigenen Gerichte wurden korrekt ausgesprochen. Für mich war es leider der letzte Besuch. Das Essen - wenn es denn mal da ist schmeckt gut. Dafür auch die 2 Sterne.

Wir waren zu viert kurzentschlossen vergangenen Freitag Abend auf der Terrasse des Zeus zum Essen. Die Aussicht / die Lage ist einfach grandios. Das Essen hat geschmeckt, das drumherum war prima und der Service hat gepasst - es musste passen, wenn man als nahezu letzte Gruppe das Lokal verlassen hat. Prima weiter so.

Wunderschöne Aussicht. Essen und Service mittelmaessig

Seit vielen eine gute Adresse für griechisches Essen. Beim letzten Mal wurden wir aber sehr enttäuscht. Froh über einen noch freien und zugewiesenen Tisch im grossen Biergarten, wurden wir die nächste 1/4 Stunde nicht beachtet. Keine Speisekarte, keine Getränkeabfrage, kein Nicken oder sonstiges Zeichen. Wir sind dann wieder gegangen und haben unseren Hunger beim Griechen Laki (Georgiihaus) nebenan bestens gestillt. Wir werden beim Wechsel bleiben.

Alles wir zu zweit ankamen, war die Gartenwirtschaft gut besucht und uns wurde vom Kellner ein Tisch zugewiesen. Dort saßen wir dann ca. 10 bis 15 Minuten ohne daß uns irgend jemand vom Personal eine Karte brachte oder gar daran dachte eine Bestellung auf zu nehmen. Wir wurden einfach ignoriert. Auch daß wir uns mit Handzeichen bemerkbar gemacht haben hat keine interessiert. Wir sind dann aufgestanden und und ums Eck bei der Konkurrenz eingekehrt. Und das war gut so.

Haben mit unseren Fahrrädern angehalten und wollten nur etwas trinken. Zuerst waren wir erfreut, dass wir uns sitzen durften (es stand überall reserviert), jedoch wurden wir nicht bedient. Nach 20 Minuten warten hatten selbst Tische die nach uns kamen ihre Getränke und das Essen bestellt und wir sind wieder gegangen. :-(

Gute Griechische Küche. Schöner Biergarten mit toller Aussicht.

Nur 3 Speisekarten für 4 Personen? Ausrede war, es seien nur 3 Karten da, dabei waren kaum Gäste vor Ort. Vielleicht weil die 4. Person dunkelhäutig war? Und ebenso ist dem Kellner nichts besseres eingefallen, als die dunkelhäutige Person (die erst ein paar Monate in Deutschland lebt - demnach noch nicht gut Deutsch spricht) in einem respektlosen Ton darauf hinzuweisen, dass sie doch deutlicher sprechen solle. Im nachhinein muss ich sagen man hätte aufstehen und das Lokal verlassen müssen. Unfreundliches Personal, vor allem der Chef, keine Begrüßung, keine Verabschiedung und kein Danke bei der Bezahlung. Da macht es das gute Essen auch nicht wieder gut. Und stellt euch darauf ein, dass ihr über eine Stunde auf euer Essen warten könnt.

Extrem unfreundliches Personal insbesondere der Chef. Ist sich zu fein mit den Gästen zu sprechen, aber abkassieren kann er. Wenn man dann aufgrund des miserablen Services kein Trinkgeld gibt bekommt man nicht mal eine Verabschiedung. Und wer keine Lust hat über eine Stunde auf sein trinken und essen zu warten sollte ganz schnell das Weite von diesem Laden suchen.

Ich bin dort schon seit Jahren Gast. Die tolle Aussicht und das Essen sind die Hauptgründe. Vom Essen sind meine Gäste und ich noch nie enttäuscht worden. Habe auch bereits mehrmals dort schon meinem Geburtstag gefeiert. Wenn es voll ist, geht es schon ab und an unkoordiniert zu, aber dann muss man halt etwas warten, was ich auch gelassen mache. Alle geben ihr Bestes und sind durch die Bank auch freundlich. Ich komme immer wieder gerne.

Restaurant mit schlechtem Service und Ambiente.

Leckeren Mittagstisch verzehrt. Die Calamares waren sehr lecker.

Mit Blick auf die Filderebene kann man hier gemütlich und lecker Essen. Sehr zu empfehlen ist das butterzarte Lamm und die Kalamarie waren auch sehr fein. Auch an warmen Tagen eine leichte Jacke mitbringen, es kann schonmal kühler sein wenn es stärker windet.

Toller Biergarten mit Blick auf Esslingen gutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis Verhältnis

Wie immer, leckeres Essen, die Gesellschaft war sehr zufrieden.

Hier ist es lecker und die Portionen zufriedenstellend. Besonders zu erwähnen ist im Sommer die Terrasse mit sehr schönem Panorama!

Normalerweise bin ich vom Restaurant Zeus immer sehr angetan( Am Schelzstor in Esslingen) und wir gehen auch regelmäßig dort Essen. Leider war bei dem 1 Besuch im Biergarten Zeus der Service sehr langsam. Daher auch nur 4 Sterne anstatt die verdienten 5

Super Restaurant mit tollem Tal-Blick. Plätze im Schatten, Essen war sehr gut.

Nachdem wir bei den letzten zwei Besuchen ( einmal Mittags, einmal am Abend, während der Woche ) immer sehr lange, d.h. mindestens 1Stunde, auf das Essen warten mussten, wollten wir heute Mittag unser Glück erneut versuchen. Wir trafen um 13.00 Uhr ein, die Terrasse war zu ca. 70% besetzt, wir fanden auch einen schönen Tisch im Schatten. Als nach 15 Minuten noch immer niemand bei uns am Tisch war um wenigstens schonmal die Speisekarte zu bringen haben wir uns diskret und freundlich bemerkbar gemacht. Ein Kellner mit Akzent, der eher nicht Griechisch anmutete, bot uns an, er könne die Bestellung zwar aufnehmen, wir müsste aber mindestens mit 45-60 Minuten Wartezeit rechnen. Wenigstens war er ehrlich und hat uns erneuten Frust erspart. Glücklicherweise gibt es in unmittelbarer Nähe etliche andere Lokale. Irgendwie scheint da bei denen doch massiv der Wurm drin zu sein. Da sollte man das Konzept mal überdenken und entweder die Anzahl der Tische reduzieren oder die Anzahl der Mitarbeiter erhöhen. Sehr leckere essen und super freundlicher Service. Wenn viel los ist, ist es gut reserviert zu haben. Was gut ist, wenn viel los ist werden nicht endlos neue Gäste empfangen, dadurch ist der Service wirklich gut. Es war lecker. Haben vor allem vegetarische Gerichte geteilt und schön, dass es hier eine größere Auswahl davon gibt. Aber auch die Lammhaxe war sehr lecker.
