The food was excellent and delicious. The meat, as well as the liver, was cooked to a wonderfully tender consistency. The service was friendly and efficient.

The tzatziki and olives were delicious. Meal No. 34 was excellent. The salad was the best I've ever had at a Greek restaurant. The appetizers were very good.

Luckily, we managed to get a table even though we didn't have a reservation and the restaurant was already quite busy. The food was very good and plentiful. Ouzo was served before and after the meal. The service was really friendly. Unfortunately, payment is only possible with debit card or cash.

The food here is absolutely wonderful. I had the Grill Teller and all of the meat, especially the gyros was so succulent. The waitress who served us was marvelous. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The first meal I sent back at age 34. The meat was so dry it was inedible. I mentioned it to the restaurant, but the only response I got was that she didn't understand why. €21.50 for that 🗑️!

Opening hours according to Google are until 10 p.m.? The kitchen closed before 8:30 p.m. despite the restaurant being full! What a pity. We went to another restaurant at 8:30 p.m. that still had an open kitchen.

On our last evening in Esens, we found ourselves at this lovely Greek restaurant. Since it was a Friday, we made a reservation the night before. The welcome was friendly, as was the service throughout the evening. The food was very tasty and served quickly. The portions were generous. Would you recommend a visit to Zeus? Absolutely.

We spontaneously stopped by for dinner yesterday and absolutely loved it! 👍😊 The gyro, in particular, is super delicious and crispy! The suvlaki and bifteki are also very tasty, as is the salad. We received friendly service, and the food arrived relatively quickly. We'll be happy to come back next time we're in Esens!

Best Greek restaurant in Northern Germany

Even though they were actually full, the friendly waitress cleared a table for us. It was lovely, and we were very happy about it. The food was excellent, the ambiance was wonderful, and the service was incredibly friendly. 🙂👌🏻

We came here for dinner with the whole family, including our dog. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Even our dog was immediately brought a bowl of water. Then the food arrived. The portions were very generous, but the quality was very poor. My liver was very thin and fried to death, with the consistency of shoe leather. The fries tasted like they had been briefly microwaved the day before. My husband's bifteki was also quite thin and very chewy. It doesn't look delicious. We definitely won't be eating here again.

We spontaneously arrived shortly after opening and managed to get two seats in the almost full restaurant. Shortly afterward, the restaurant was packed and a bit noisy at times. The service was very friendly and attentive, and our food (Artemis plate, Zeus plate) was plentiful and delicious. We were served good ouzo before and after our meal.

The food was okay, but the night we were there, it was quite noisy. That was probably because it was quite busy. The price was on the higher end, but that's probably also due to the increased additional costs.

We went there once during our vacation. We received very friendly service even though we were very late. We both ordered gyros with fries, tzatziki, and coleslaw. The food was served quickly. The portion was huge/barely manageable. We would like to make a constructive suggestion for improvement, as we saw several plates go back to the kitchen still half-full. Wouldn't it be better to offer the gyros in two sizes? Normal (2/3 of your portion is perfectly sufficient, even for relatively "big eaters" for, for example, €3/€3.50 less) and XXL (everything as usual). That would be much more sustainable, as less food would be thrown away and would also be easier on your guests' wallets. Otherwise, the gyros could have been a bit juicier and spicier, but all the side dishes were perfect, with the tzatziki being particularly noteworthy. We ate here in February 25 based on a recommendation. My family ordered gyros without salad and I ordered bifteki gratinated in cream sauce. The gyro was very cross, the rice was tasty. The salad I got was a bit modest, a lot of iceberg lettuce, hardly any coleslaw and a piece of tomato and cucumber. The salad dressing tasted like it came from a bottle. There was no tzatziki. The bifteki was okay, only the cream sauce was very runny, something I don't know before (the creaminess was missing). There were also fries and, lo and behold, tzatziki (I would have preferred it with the salad). But we'll eat here again, maybe it'll be better then.

We came to Zeus spontaneously and got a table for two people even though we didn't reserve beforehand. The restaurant was already fully booked and well attended. The service is very friendly and well dressed. The ambience is pleasant and invites you to linger. You also get a good quality welcome ouzo. I only deducted one point for the meal because the bread for the starter could have been a little more but it was warm (very good 👍) you don't get that anywhere else and my liver was fried too dry, the fries could have used another minute . The portions are really generous, so I had half packed. Price performance is really top 👍. Highly recommended. I'd love to come back.

We visited the restaurant with 6 people on Christmas Day. We reserved the table in advance. We were greeted very friendly. To justify this, the house provided an ouzo. The drinks we ordered were served promptly. We all liked the dishes we ordered very much. Bifteki, pork liver, grill plate Neptune, souflaki plate and another grill plate, be it with fries or rice, tasted very good to us 👍. To say goodbye there was another ouzo from the house. Thank you for the extremely good hospitality.

Good selection of food and also very tasty. But the fact that all restaurateurs are now raising their prices extremely is a bit annoying, if not sickening. The latest increase is not plausible. I also shop at the wholesale market and the meat prices are actually the same as always. The restaurateur doesn't buy the top products from Mios anyway...

The best gyros in the world are only available here in Esens at Zeus.

Wir hatten das Musaka und einen Grillteller für 1 Person. Beide Portionen waren sehr groß und gut. Das Musaka war allerdings zu "mächtig" und fettig, sodass es insgesamt einfach "zu viel" war. Schönes Ambiente, freundliche Bedienung und gutes Essen, allerdings nicht sehr gut. Preis-Leistung hat aber gestimmt, sodass wir auch nochmal herkommen würden.

The restaurant is a bit hidden, but the food is really really tasty. Large portions and, above all, freshly prepared. Parking is easy everywhere around. It's nice to sit in the restaurant and there are also a few seats outside. Everything is clean and tidy. The employees are very friendly, I think a new employee was being trained during our visit so there was a bit of a problem but that was ok 😊 we'll be happy to come back

Food is very tasty, very large portions. Unfortunately, there is not a single vegetarian dish on the menu (I don't count salad as a vegetarian dish).

I got a spot unannounced as soon as the restaurant opened. Some guests after me with 2-4 people also had no problems. The service is very good and friendly. The quality of the food is also very good. Personally, I prefer the taste to be spicier, so I make a small deduction. This point cannot be assessed objectively and everyone has to decide for themselves. The price is within the usual range of a Greek restaurant. After 50 minutes of waiting, ordering, eating and paying, I was out again. There was an ouzo at the start and at the end.

Service staff was super friendly! The homemade tzatziki was super tasty, but the ratio to the bread wasn't right. The spaghetti was delicious and the portion fills you up. Unfortunately, the sauce from the Jägerschnitzel tasted like curry ketchup and we had to return it. Unfortunately, no fresh mushrooms were used in either dish.
