Food & Drinks We had waffles and apple pie, both absolutely delicious. The waffles were freshly made and the cherries were hot. There was a small selection of cakes. No waffles with Nutella. A wide selection of drinks, including fine coffee specialties. Atmosphere Modern, high-quality, bright Service Unfortunately, we sat at our table for about 10 minutes. Then we went to the counter ourselves and discovered it was self-service. One of the four employees behind the counter could have pointed that out to us. Aside from that, the service was friendly.

Very tasty food and friendly staff.

First of all: How wonderful that this building in Esens's city center, among others, continues to exist and, despite being converted, 'lives on,' and what can be done with it! I remember it from childhood vacations as a retail store. The small restaurant overlooking the market square exudes coziness, with attention to detail, has a calm atmosphere, and you can see that it's well-received. Even when it's busy, it's easy to have a conversation. The service staff and the owner are unobtrusively friendly. My husband and I have only tried the cake (cheesecake and Swedish carrot cake) so far: not bought, but homemade, delicious, pleasantly sweet, and, above all, not overly sweet (!). And the cappuccino: This is seriously the best we've ever had! They don't skimp on the milk foam, especially. Since we enjoyed it so much, we went there a second time during our weekend vacation. We think it's good that KEE KEE is still open even when other restaurants have already closed.

They serve delicious cappuccino with oat milk. It's beautifully decorated and cozy!

A very nicely decorated café. Orders are placed at the counter, but served at your table. The waffles, apple pie, and coffee were all truly excellent.

The service leaves a lot to be desired. No information about ordering at the counter, and then you wait 20 minutes for a pot of coffee or a latte macchiato. We won't be back.

First of all, the food was good. However, the payment was not correct. We wanted to pay by card, but the waiter came to the table a short time later and said that card payments weren't working at the moment. We then paid in cash. However, the amount was debited from our account anyway. So we paid twice. I tried calling and sending a WhatsApp message. Unfortunately, to no avail. I only got an email and the WhatsApp message wasn't read. A sad vacation experience.

Great café in Esens. It's self-service, but that doesn't spoil the experience. We had cappuccino, rhubarb spritzer, tea, and cake and are happy to have found a great alternative to the cafes that are closed on Saturdays.

We were visiting home and found this little café in Esens. The cappuccino was the tastiest of all the ones we'd had at other locations. The friendly, attentive waitress recommended the dumplings. The dumplings, as an idea, were okay!

Very nice little restaurant. The prices are perfectly reasonable. The snacks offered were something different and very tasty. The coffee and cake were also excellent. :) It won't be my last visit.

Please note: we recommend bringing your own seating if you want to enjoy the experience without injury! The outdoor seating is consistently unstable and some of it is falling apart, but it seems to be constantly being put out. And the boss doesn't seem to care, as the problem has been going on all summer. And when I handed one of the chairs, the armrests and backrest of which had separated from the rest, to the boss today, so that no one could sit on it and injure themselves, I was scolded in such an arrogant and uncomprehending manner that I certainly won't be a guest there again. A sincere "thank you" would have been the appropriate response! I recommend that everyone else check the stability of the chair before sitting down!!!

Very cozy little cafe with the most delicious cheesecake ever💯

In the afternoon, we wanted to order an iced coffee, but the ice was gone. Then we wanted a rhubarb spritzer and a tea. For these meager drinks, we were forced to sit at our tables for 10 minutes with a pager, while the people at surrounding tables (who had arrived after us) received their drinks immediately. It's a shame that the staff weren't resourced enough and didn't have a clear idea. This really spoiled the first impression. I can't say much about the food.

Nice location, we sat outside. But: there were several employees on site, but only one was working! So everything took a very long time. Considering that you have to get the menu yourself, then go inside, order, and pay in cash, then you get a pager and get everything yourself. And of course, you also bring the dishes back in yourself. Sorry, this isn't the kind of service praised in the reviews here. Yes, the coffee and waffles were delicious. But we won't be back.

A truly wonderful little café with lots of charm and attention to detail! The apple pie is simply divine – moist, perfectly seasoned, and combined with the strong, aromatic espresso, a true treat. You can tell that the bakery is baked with love. I'd especially like to highlight the service: incredibly friendly, attentive, and helpful – you feel welcome from the very first moment. A place to feel good, relax, and enjoy.

I only had a cappuccino there, which was very good. I can't say much more.

Update 06/18/25 "Cake 🍰 + Espresso ☕️ The cake and espresso are simply really good 👍 keep it up 👏 = 4x⭐️ Small criticism of the ambiance: 🙁 the chairs outside aren't in the best condition anymore 😢 = - 1x⭐️ We had the cold version, Feldwedel (right) and the warm version, Son Brokko (left). The taste is really very good 👍 The iced tea is really good 👍 In my opinion, two small comments about the food: Son Brokko = a container where the fat from the cheese doesn't run through your hand. Feldwedel = moisten the wrap a bit so it doesn't crumble through your hands. The staff is super friendly and in a really good mood 👍 The ambiance is just fittingly good 👍 I can happily recommend this recommend 😃

Something different... A little chaotic, but okay.

A very cozy, inviting atmosphere with very friendly and competent staff. The homemade cake is a poem, combined with the delicious espresso...simply fantastic!

Very, very tasty. Whenever we are in Esens, there is no way around Bricks. We have known KEEKEE Bricks since the beginning. The quality of the products and service are always top. No matter whether it's coffee and cake, a little something in between or something to fill you up. You are always right here.

A guest in Esens for years, but only discovered this insider tip this year. Great ambience, super nice service and even better food. It is understandable that when the store is full, you can no longer bring every order to the table in person. Then there is a beeper system. I think the service fits perfectly into the modern ambience. The apple and cheese cake is to die for - as is the cocoa you get there. It's great that you can order the cocoa without any sugar. I've never seen anything like this anywhere else. The bricks are also super tasty. The Bruns-Brick is particularly recommended, as well as a delicious homemade iced tea!

Really good cappuccino and delicious waffles. The bricks are also very tasty. Since they ran out of feta cheese that day, we were offered buffalo mozzarella instead. It also tasted very good. There's also a small selection of games on site, so we were able to play a few rounds of Uno :)

Nice café right on the market square with outside seating. We only had a cocoa and a cappuccino for a total of now "local" 10 euros... and without service at the table outside, at least without taking an order.

Delicious! There are filled bricks in different flavors here. There is something for everyone, whether with meat filling or vegan. The cake is also highly recommended, the cheesecake is a dream!

Cappuccino and the Keekee bricks were super delicious 😋 I was here a year ago and now I'm on vacation again and I'm still thrilled. And the chocolate cake was great 😋 👍🏻 The Bruns Bricks is very tasty and I got full from it too. For me, the best cappuccino is here in Esens. 👍🏻

The Keekee Bricks restaurant in Esens is an absolute must for us as soon as we are in the area. The so-called “Brick” is the highlight of the menu – a bag baked in flatbreads, filled with various ingredients, be it meat, vegetarian versions, cheese and more. Baking it again makes the brick wonderfully stable and crispy. We are always thrilled with the quality and taste. The friendly service and the charming little shop add to the great experience. The prices are fair, especially considering the quality of the food. For anyone traveling in Esens, a visit to Keekee Bricks is an absolute must. Let yourself be surprised and be sure to try a brick – or two or three! a solid 10 out of 10

The taste of the espresso was okay, but a little too cold. On my next visit I will try the dishes on offer.

We wanted to take a look last year but unfortunately we didn't have the time. This year we ordered something and it was... well... for around €9 it was a big thing that tasted okay but didn't really fill you up already unpleasant… stomach problems in the evening included :( unfortunately only one star… sorry but I need another brick in the mall ~ a bigger and thicker one :)

We were there last week. Cappuccino very tasty! But! The small wooden trays look very nice, but a bit wobbly with 2 cups on them. What doesn't work at all, however, is the sugar, which is beautifully thought out in a small bowl with a spoon. An absurdity for hygiene reasons. When I asked, I was told that the sugar would be served again to the next guests. Guys, anyone can put their fingers on it or accidentally lick the spoon. Have you ever heard of HACCP? It doesn't work at all! Too bad!

Shortly after closing time, there were still guests sitting in the café. Nevertheless, I was denied a quick coffee-to-go... What a shame, bad service!

Real Briks are warm and made from a wafer-thin, crispy dough, like the ones you get in Tunisian restaurants... these were very cold and hard. We've waited a very long time for this. Very disappointing

It was nice that the gyro was something interesting and tasty and well priced, I think it was a bit expensive for what you had, especially because there was something missing because something wasn't there anymore and you had to wait a long time at the café but you noticed that I think one was new and I'm not quite sure yet. You have to be fair. Everyone has started their first days somewhere. I still wish only the best for the employees and managing directors

Everything seemed chaotic. The bricks are ok. Unfortunately, the sergeant is completely dry. The bricks are more of an expensive snack. It's done in a cool and chic way. However, the struts of 3 chairs on the large table are broken and someone will get seriously injured. There is WiFi and you can charge your cell phone with a cable.

Definitely a must if you visit Esens. Super lovely staff, the bricks are very deliciously filled, the coffee is tasty, but the waffles and cake are simply divine. And all at affordable prices. 10 out of 5 stars

An ice cream cafe for €7.20, filled with ice cubes, is already steep. The straw that came with it was missing and the table outside was damaged.

The bricks were great, as was the female waiter. The long waiting time (approx. 45 minutes) wasn't that great. When the boss tried to tell me that it was a maximum of 16 minutes, I just shook my head.

We've been there several times and eaten delicious bricks. They are simply amazing! Super delicious😍🥰 Today we drank the homemade iced tea for the first time. Simply great! The new location also makes it really nice to sit outside. Great ambience. And above all, great service. Everyone is really friendly. We'd love to come back.

The food tastes good, the cake does what it's supposed to do :) the service is friendly, but waiting 30 minutes for a waffle and a piece of cake is clearly too much.

We tried something new and ordered the delicious “Bricks”. It was super tasty. In any case, it is recommended.

Very good cappuccino, attentive and friendly service. Nice, casual atmosphere. Waterproof umbrellas would be nice. Next time you go shopping, please buy wooden boards with recesses - they can be very slippery. Definitely a big win for the marketplace - not least because of the opening times!

Delicious waffles and good coffee. You order at the checkout and pick it up there yourself. I think that's completely okay, but I would offer other trays. The wooden boards look bold, but are uncomfortable to carry. Thank you and have a successful season.

Good morning To my shame, I have to admit that I got a brick for the first time today and that as an eater. I am absolutely thrilled. The food was world class, the staff was super friendly, always smiling, in a good mood and I felt welcome, the atmosphere was really great. It's also very cool that there are still places outside right on the market square. My Big Kahuna Brick was really tasty, but I'll definitely eat my way through the whole menu little by little :) I absolutely recommend eating something here or “just” drinking a cappuccino etc. I'm thrilled ✌️

Either way, Esens is worth a trip! This is my second time at KeeKee Bricks at Markt 9. You come in and feel good! Matching music, friendly boss and staff, cool store. You can see and experience cleanliness and friendliness here! Coffee first class and served differently, the bricks are great here! What are these? You'll find out when you visit! So full points! In my opinion the store deserves it! So take a look for yourself!

Nice café with a variety of coffee on offer. Coffee quality is ok, proof of origin would be great. Food (waffles, cakes, dough rolls, ...) are delicious and homemade or family-baked. Nice location on the market square, you can look forward to being outside in the summer.

Die Art wie hier das Geschirr abgewaschen wird, ist sehr bedenklich bzw. besorgniserregend. Mit 2 Fingern am Tassenrand unter fliesendem Wasser keine 10 Sekunden. Ohne Spülmittel, ohne abtrocknen. Mehrere Male an dem Nachmittag beobachtet, unglaublich. Kein Spuckschutz zu den Lebensmitteln, die dort stehen alles offen unmittelbar an der Laufstrecke zu den Gästen und der Toilette. Aus Corona nix gelernt, Herpes lässt grüßen…… hier werde ich bestimmt nichts mehr trinken oder essen.

I had a large cappuccino and the Thai brick and it was delicious! This is the best cappuccino there is around here. It was also made with a lot of love. The Brick, well. The best thing I've eaten in a long time. It just makes you happy. You can also watch it being prepared. The shop is clean and has a very modern, simple design. There could perhaps be a little more decoration on the walls, hence only 4/5 stars in terms of ambience. The service is respectfully reserved. Friendliness is a given here. Conclusion: It's a very nice, friendly shop where I feel very comfortable and always leave with a smile. I like to come back often.

We became aware of Keekee Bricks during a trip to Esens today. Curiosity was piqued and so we decided to try two bricks. And what should we say? It was super tasty and the crispy “wraps” are a great idea! I would also like to particularly emphasize the (guest) friendliness with which we were received! Absolutely recommended, thank you for the great experience. :)

Hier gibt es sehr sehr leckeres Essen und was was man nicht überall findet. Es kann sein das man etwas warten muss aber es lohnt sich auf alle Fälle. Das Personal ist freundlich, der Service toll und das kleine aber feine Räumchen ein Träumchen. Wir kommen auf jedenfall wieder, sooooo lecker.

Kaffee und Bricks schmecken sehr gut,ist mal was anderes. Leider wenig Sitzmöglichkeiten.

Heute in Blersum auf dem Festival ein Brick gegessen und mega lecker, der Besuch in Esens ist geplant und steht fest. Suuuper lecker, selten solch ein Geschmackserlebnis gehabt.

Bei jedem Besuch an der Nordsee für ein muss. Immer alles frisch und sehr sehr lecker. Kann ich jedem nur empfehlen.

Das erste Restaurant, wo die Kinder sitzen bleiben und in aller Ruhe essen, weil es so lecker ist. Man könnte glatt vom Mittag bis zum Kaffee und zum Abendbrot sitzen bleiben. Überragend leckere Waffeln und der Cappuccino sehr lecker! Die Bricks schmecken ebenfalls super. Alles wirklich sehr sehr gut. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich. Top!

Wirklich hervorragendes Essen. Der Bruns Brick ist der Hammer. Natürlich nicht ganz günstig und die Zubereitung dauert auch nen kurzen Moment. Dafür aber eben tolle Qualität und super zubereitet. Pflicht wenn man gerade in Esens ist.

Wir waren heute 22.05.23 da, um uns zu überzeugen, dass es wirklich so toll schmeckt wie alle in den Rezensionen schreiben. Alle, ja wirklich alle untertreiben was Style, Idee, Gestaltung und Geschmack anbelangt. Die Bricks sind sensationell gut und das anschliessende Espressi, von einer EMC Maschine war ebenso Geschmacklich wie auch Präsentiert ein absoluter Hinkucker!. Wir kommen wieder....

Wer in Esens ist sollte hier nen Brick essen, sonst macht man was falsch.

Mega lecker, für den kleinen gab's Falafel Pommes. Die Bruns-Bricks sind sehr zu empfehlen. Sehr netter Besitzer, Service 1A!!

Hatte einen sehr (sehr!) leckeren Kaffee und eine überraschend knusprige Waffel probiert. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und gelassen.

Leckere Waffeln, aber zu wenige Waffeleisen

Richtig lecker! Und gemütlich. Lange warten muss man auch nicht. Es wurde sehr nett und verständnisvoll auf meine (gesundheitlichen) Sonderwünsche reagiert und eine kreative (und vor allem leckere!) Lösung gefunden. Danke dafür!

Die Bricks sind wirklich sehr lecker. Hier werden auch die Vegetarier glücklich. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Einfach fancy. Uns haben die Bricks sehr gut geschmeckt, ebenso der homemade icetea. Total beeindruckt sind wir vom Konzept des Keekee, eine absolut coole Idee diese frischen selbst gemachten Bricks mit einer köstlichen Füllung, eingefüllt mit einer ganz eigenen Technik. Alles vom Besitzer selber entwickelt. Schon das Zusehen beim Zubereiten hat uns sehr gefallen. Echt empfehlenswert!

Sehr gemütlicher kleiner Laden mit freundlichem Service! ...bisher nur die selbstgemachte Waffel gehabt, aber die hat wirklich Lust auf mehr von dem Angebot dort gemacht ;-)

Wir gehen schon seit Monaten regelmäßig zu Eike und seinen Bricks. Egal ob als Snack oder vollwertige Mahlzeit. Einzigartig und sehr lecker. Die Zutaten der verschiedenen Bricks sind sehr gut gewählt und passen einwandfrei zusammen. Das gleiche gilt auch für die Waffeln, den Kaffee oder den selbst gemachten Eistee. Einfach ein Genuss. Nur zu empfehlen, wenn man in Esens ist und einen der Hunger überkommt!

Sind immer mal wieder in Esens und freuen uns auch neue Cafés/ Imbiss zu unterstützen. Ein Besuch wert, kommen gerne wieder. Die Waffeln waren sehr lecker😋und am nächsten Tag die Bricks auch👍

Sehr leckere Wraps bzw. Bricks und die Waffeln zerfließen auf der Zunge und die Falapos werden schön angerichtet. Toller,gemütlicher Laden in der Stadt und nette Mitarbeiterin.
