Very tasty food! Well I just went to take away What to eat with my family. Lamb curry with rice. Also with dal rice. I have never eaten it like this in an Indian restaurant.

Unfortunately a big disappointment. We like the charm of such restaurants and don't have high expectations, but a little attention from the staff should be given. We were seated in the back area, there was no music playing, instead you could hear the clattering of cutlery, more of a cafeteria atmosphere. The service was inattentive, untrained and overwhelmed. After over 20 minutes they didn't even ask for water. One waitress even had an AirPod in his ear. Everything seemed very careless and without any sense of a good restaurant experience. Whether everything was okay was never asked. Instead, the food was placed on the table without comment and not even cleared away at the end. The starter was a carelessly presented plate of fried, unrecognizable vegetables that tasted like stale fat. The bread we ordered only came after repeated requests - long after the curry had been eaten. Overall the food was overpriced and disappointing. A bottle of water for seven euros is outrageous. It's better to go to the kebab shop around the corner - you'll feel better there and the food tastes even better. Conclusion: no atmosphere, bad service, loveless food, prices that are too high - definitely not a recommendation!

On a cold November evening, I was happy to walk into this warm, cozy restaurant and be greeted with a friendly smile. I had Lamb Saag (medium hot plus) and got the spiciness I wanted exactly. The dish was so much that I couldn't finish it. The waiter packed the rest for me. The waiter held the door open for me as I was leaving, something I haven't experienced in a long time ;-)

Nice restaurant with good food and very nice staff. The food is served in small pans and since you fill yourself up you can easily share the dishes with each other.

Overall, a successful visit. The restaurant is decorated in typical Indian style, with large windows facing the street that let in lots of light. We enjoyed the food. There is a large selection of vegetarian dishes. It's worth mentioning that dishes based on beef are offered, which in my experience is unusual for Indian restaurants. The service is extremely friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the dessert wasn't quite to our taste, but we weren't charged accordingly. Finally there was an excellent Mango Lassie.

We came to the restaurant relatively spontaneously after a concert in the neighborhood and half an hour before closing time, after the surrounding restaurants had already sent us away. We received a very friendly welcome and were able to order the entire menu, which is not necessarily a given at this time. The service was very attentive and we enjoyed the food very much. We would like to come again.

First of all: The food is very tasty. So far I have always ordered home, but since there were often errors in delivery (extra requests such as a double portion of pilau rice as a side dish), I prefer to pick it up now. The restaurant makes an appealing impression, I will definitely eat there at some point.

Excellent Indian! Calling all Brits, as close to an Indian in Blighty as I have found in 5 years living in Hamburg. They are under new management apparently. Had 2 take-aways before our first sit-in meal. Only downside no Nan bread (boo) but the Bhuna & Korma we had were superb. Super fluffy rice, and the Paratha is a good substitute for Nan. Oh the Onion bhajis aren't bhajis, but still very tasty. Great friendly service.Sehr lecker!!

Authentic Indian restaurant. We were thrilled with the food, the ambience and the staff. Another small highlight is the serving of the dishes. Depending on the dish, it comes in a small tin (?) pot or in a heavily browned cast iron dish. Remarkable. Of course it depends on the dish. We will be back.

We didn't eat on site but ordered. The food was prepared with fresh ingredients and was very tasty. Personally, I like spicy food, but because we have children we opted for the mild spiciness - probably still spicy for sensitive people. Great quality, therefore 5 stars. The delivery took a while, 90 minutes, but I have to say that it was a Sunday evening. 80€ minimum order value is a bit excessive, if it's just the two of us eating, we'll never get that amount together and would probably have to order somewhere else - maybe reconsider the amount. Unfortunately my conclusion is only about 3.8 to a maximum of 4 stars.

Extremely bad food, tasted like ready-made ravioli. Everything is older and warmed up, good quality spices are missing. Service people were very nice, but you had to wait extremely long. This was definitely the last visit.

Reliably good food at an acceptable price. The Zala am Rothenbaum has been around for ages and remains a good address if you want to eat Indian food. But I would say that it is Germanized or prepared for European tastes instead of authentic Indian style (spiciness etc.). Service and atmosphere very pleasant, the waiting time and attentiveness of the staff could be a little better. When it comes to food, you have to say that it simply tastes good. There are three levels of spiciness to choose from: Indian hot, medium and mild. Medium is perfectly fine and does not cause any “afterburner” in the evening or morning. Meat and vegetables of high quality which justifies the price. Solid address with a great ambience in an upscale location

The two of us arrived here spontaneously on Saturday evening. The store was well stocked and yet everyone in service was very open and attentive to us. Our dog convinced everyone. And by the way, the food was wonderfully delicious!!! A big recommendation and thank you for the lovely evening!!!

Absolute Empfehlung und für mich der beste Inder Hamburgs! Waren hier abends mit einer Reservierung. Das Restaurant selbst liegt sehr gut zu erreichen in der City. Sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Im Restaurant selber war es nicht zu laut und voll, sodass man sich gut unterhalten konnte. Das hier alles frisch und selbst zubereitet wird, schmeckt man. Preislich etwas gehobener als andere indische Restaurants aber das ist das Geld definitiv werd. Ich hatte selten bei einem Besuch so wenig bis gar nichts zu bemängeln. Service, Vorspeisen sowie Hauptgang 5/5. Macht weiter so und bis zum nächsten Mal 👍

Wir hatten das vegetarische Menü für 2 Personen und waren sehr zufrieden! Die Auswahl ist top, das Essen sehr lecker und reichlich und der Preis dafür sehr angemessen. Die Stimmung im Restaurant ist ruhig, authentisch und die Bedienung freundlich. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Der schöner Inder mit einer großen Auswahl an Gerichten. Unser Essen war sehr lecker und der Service freundlich. Nur preislich war es hier etwas teurer (vor allem die Getränke) und die Lage etwas abseits. Zu Beginn bekamen wir verschiedene Soßen aufs Haus, diese waren unglaublich lecker.

Wir haben Sonntag Abend Chicken Makhan und Beef King Korma bestellt, beides war sehr lecker und wurde nach 60 Minuten (wie angegeben) geliefert. Für 'europäisch scharf' war das Beef ziemlich scharf, aber noch so, dass wir es sehr mochten. Gerne wieder!

Über Uber eats bestellt, die Hälfte war falsch. Anstelle Naan Brot, kamm trockenes roti Brot. Anstelle 1 Liter Flasche Cola, 0,33l Cola Zero. Nach Anruf, sehr unangenehm. Wurde mir gesagt das sich darum gekümmert wird. Nach 10min warten erneuter Anruf, erst 3 mal weggedrückt, dann der unfreundliche Kollege dran gewesen und dann zum nächsten unfreundlichen Kollegen. Am ende soll ich dem Fehler begangen haben, da auf der Quittung das ja so steht und sie generell keine Cola verkaufen. Schwachsinn und definitv nicht weiter zu empfehlen.

Großes Lob an die Küche. Das Essen war einfach köstlich, schön gewürzt, sehr schmackhaft und warm/heiß serviert. Hatten zu zweit jeweils eine Suppe und ein Gericht für den kleinen Hunger. Keine langen Wartezeiten. Vorweg gab es noch ein "indisches Brot/Snack" mit drei verschiedenen Dips. Und nach dem Essen eine Gewürzmischung, traditionell, für eine bessere Verdauung. Preis/Leistung also wirklich in Ordnung! Wer es aromatisch mag, ist hier goldrichtig.

Wir sind nach einem Museumsbesuch spontan in das Restaurant rein. Toller Service, sehr gute Portionsgrößen und nach unserem Geschmack fantastisches Essen. Vegetarier kommen auch auf ihre Kosten. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ich war in der Woche mittags da! Der Service ist in Ordnung, flott und freundlich. Das Essen kam schnell und heiss. Es war ausreichend viel um auch den stärkeren Esser satt zu bekommen. Das Speisenangebot auf der Speisekarte ist umfangreich und "scheint" mir aus Komponenten zusammengestellt zu sein. Deshalb die grosse Auswahl. Geschmacklich war es ehrlich Durchschnitt. Ausreichend für die Mittagspause, nichts für einen "besonderen" Abend o.s.ä..Das Ambiente ist auch eher so, wie sie fast alle sind, die Inder, die schon etwas länger am Markt sind.

Eine sehr freundliche Bedienung und ein leckeres Essen. Wir waren nur auf einen kurzen Zwischenstopp zu Besuch und haben und von der doch üppig bestückten Mittagstischkarte etwas ausgesucht. Für jedes Gericht lässt sich individuell die Stärke der Schärfe wählen, sodass auch wirklich für jedermann etwas dabei ist. Auch das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist sehr zufriedenstellend. Das Essen kam schnell und auf Fragen folgten gute Antworten / Erklärungen. Auch auf die Frage, ob wir noch eine extra Portion Reis nachbestellen könnten, bekamen wir eine große Portion extra – ohne Aufpreis. Das Ambiente ist schlicht und doch in einem schönen indischen Stil. Lediglich empfanden wir es am Tag unseres Besuchs als etwas zu kühl – das scharfe Essen wärmte jedoch sehr von innen ;) Auch der Toilettenbereich ist sauber, hygienisch und großräumig. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Habe gestern zum 2. Mal Mittagessen ins Büro bestellt. Das Essen ist sehr gut! Preis-Leistung top. Die Lieferzeit war wie bei Lieferando angegeben, ca 60 min. Bestelle in Zukunft gerne häufiger hier.

After being an habituée of the restaurant for its lunch menu and having had a bad experience last year, I decided to return to check out for improvements. First of all, the buffet menu at lunchtime no longer exists, yet they keep some specials for that part of the day. The menu has been revamped and looks more appealing and professional now; prices have gone up as well. The Lieferando and Foodora drivers walk in and out of the restaurant all the time and park in front of it blocking half of the lane. Food lost its quality, it is bland, completely tasteless. This visit was like las time's, a deception, and I dare there should be another.

Wir waren das erste Mal hier und sind absolut begeistert. Hervorragendes Essen, gut abgeschmeckt und üppig. Der Kellner war sehr zuvorkommend, höflich und ein toller Gastgeber. Wir haben „Menü 1“ gewählt und es hat sich gelohnt. Auch das Anrichten der Speisen war sehr professionell. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir holen hier immer gerne etwas zu essen ab. Es geht meistens sofort jemand ans Telefon und auch die Abholung lief bisher immer Promlemlos. Geschmacklich ist das essen echt top! Einer der besten Inder für mich.

Hallo Ist nicht empfehlenswert Es war kalt im Restaurant, mussten mit Jacke essen Ein Flaschenhals Wasser für 9,50 für 0,75 l. eine Frechheit Vegetarisches Gericht sah sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig aus Einmal und nie wieder

Das Essen hat mit tollen Vorspeisen gestartet, gerade den Kokos-Jogurt Dip kann ich nur empfehlen. Sehr freundliches Personal und top Service. Kann ich nur weiter empfehlen!
