Super lecker, alles toll. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Sehr gut gewürzt, und sehr reichhaltig. Freue mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch.

Sehr leckeres Restaurant mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Gehe dort gerne essen. Auch wenn man bestellt kommt das Essen immer warm und pünktlich an.

Wir waren während unseres 5 tätigen Aufenthaltes in Hamburg zwei Mal im Restaurant essen. Sehr schönes Ambiente, sehr aufmerksame und freundliche Bedienung. Das Essen war sehr köstlich und reichlich. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Ist jetzt ein Corona Testzentrum. KEIN vor Ort Verzehr. Lieferdienst.

Tolles indisches Restaurant! Die Speisen sind unglaublich lecker und authentisch – man merkt sofort, dass hier mit viel Liebe und hochwertigen Zutaten gekocht wird. Der Service ist besonders hervorzuheben: sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Man fühlt sich direkt willkommen und gut umsorgt. Auch das Ambiente ist angenehm und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Absolut empfehlenswert – ich komme definitiv wieder!

Onion Bahi und Naan Brot, sehr zu empfehlen. Nur die gereichten Messer waren nicht in der Lage, das Brot zu schneiden. Danke auch für Dipps vorweg... komme wieder

Super leckeres Indisches Essen. Mittelscharf ist schon scharf, finde ich aber total richtig. Der Services ist sehr gut.

Leider sehr schlecht. Regelmäßig falsche Bestellungen, ein Kellner der uns nicht richtig verstanden hat, und ein Menü was für 30€ viel zu teuer war. Geschmacklich leider sehr fade.

Moin liebe Leute, Ich habe hier vor kurzem am Sonntag Abend online via Uber Eats bestellt und nach 20 Minuten war die Bestellung schon da. Aber nicht bei mir sondern bei irgend einem meiner 40 Nachbarn😊 Als mir das Essen dann nach mehreren Telefonaten nach anderthalb Stunden erneut zugestellt wurde, war die Bestellung zur Hälfte Falsch. Das Essen meiner Freundin war 1A (Deshalb 3/5 Sterne), meins war aber nicht wie angegeben (es enthielt Pilze gegen die ich allergisch bin) und der Brokkoli war nur Strunk und kein Gemüse, bei einem Gericht über 20€ mmn nicht zumutbar. Nach Diversen Telefonaten, bei denen ich weggedrückt wurde und von mehreren verschiedenen Handynummern auf meinem Privattelefon angerufen umd drangsaliert wurde habe ich dann doch mein Geld zurück bekommen. Ambiente 5/5 Sterne, meine Couch ist schon ziemlich gemütlich. An sich ist das Lokal auch stark in Ordnung, werde aber in Zukunft wo anders essen gehen. Schönen Abend noch🫶🏼

Das Essen war hervorragend, der Service und die Freundlichkeit hingegen furchtbar. Negative Bewertungen werden aktiv gelöscht.

Das Essen war zwar gut, aber die Freundlichkeit des Personals ließ stets zu wünschen übrig, insbesondere bei Lieferungen. Schade, dass ich mir ein neues Restaurant suchen musste.

Ich war gestern Abend mit meiner Freundin dort und wir hatten unser Essen in "mittelscharf" bestellt. Als wir es probiert haben war es für unsere Verhältnisse jedoch viel zu scharf, da wir es wohl unterschätzt hatten. Das war allerdings gar kein Problem, da es sofort ausgetauscht wurde und wir neues Essen ohne Schärfe bekommen haben. Auch davor gab es eine Kleinigkeit vorweg und zum Abschluss einen Mango Lassie aufs Haus. Alles in Allem super Kundenfreundlich und zuvorkommend! Das Essen war super lecker und auch das Ambiente sehr schön! Können wir nur empfehlen!!! Eine besuch dort lohnt sich♡

wir waren gestern mit unseren Töchtern im Zala Wandsbek. Es hat uns dort sejr gut gefallen, einzig die Möbel sind etwas zu dunkel und zu eng zusammen. Das Essen war richtig lecker, schön würzig, cremig. Die Bedienung war sehr nett. Wir waren vor etlichen Jahren ab und zu mal dort. Anscheinend haben sie renoviert, die Toiletten sind ganz neu und da fehlen noch die Toilettenrollenhalter. Ansonsten war alles perfekt. Allein schon wegen des leckeren Essens werden wir sicher wiederkommen.

Schönes Restaurant, super Essen, nur das laute klingeln vom Handy des Kellners war unpassend

Ordered online. Waited over 1.5 hours for delivery. And this is the second time I've paid for the expensive rice and received the regular rice. What a shame.

Chicken Biryani was full of flavour and the staff was helpful and interactive.

If we order Indian food, it's there. Delivery could be a little faster, but it's worth the wait. The portions are a good size. We are always satisfied.

Always a lot of rubbish around. When they have deliveries, they simply left pieces of packaging on the street. It looks like they brought not only Indian cuisine but also a disrespectful attitude towards the surrounding space

Like many times before, we ordered Palak Paneer and were thrilled again! Delivery was quick and the food was hot. Always happy again.

The food is super tasty and you get a small snack beforehand. Where else do you have that in Germany today? At 5:00 p.m. / 6:00 p.m. it was still a little cold to eat there. So it's better to wear warmer clothes. Otherwise it's a little too tight for me personally. The tables are very close together. But the restaurant is also quite small. You want to “make” as many people as possible “happy”. :)

Everything is very intensely beautiful, when I'm there I feel like 1000 and 1 night! A touch of the Orient...

We ordered the menu for two for New Year's Day on January 1st, 2025 (€29.90), which took about 1 hour. Took time. Food was hot and freshly prepared and very tasty. Unfortunately -1 star deducted because the papdam chips were missing from the menu. (Two main courses (including basmati rice), two mango lassi and papadum chips) However, I would like to give it another chance for the 5 stars! (KD: 114679).

A very good Indian! Large selection and delicious dishes...Pappadam with sauces were served in advance...

Food and services are perfect. We will again visit this restaurant and suggest other people to visit there and enjoy the delicious food

Very good food, delivery arrived very quickly

This feedback relates to the catering service for “Zala Luxury Buffet”. The good thing is that the delivery was very punctual and tasted good too. Communication was always quick and reliable. Overall, we (and our guests) were very disappointed with what we received. Overall, the food delivered was far too little. 6 people couldn't eat any lamb or scampi. We had the impression that there was a lot of sauce but almost no content. In the end the guests only ate rice and sauce, which to be honest was embarrassing for us. If you now add the price of over €700 (1 extra meat dish), you almost have the feeling of being ripped off (almost €30 per head). In our opinion the food on offer was nowhere near this value. In any case, Zala did not leave a good impression on us or the guests. A visit to a restaurant might be good, but stay away from catering folks, you're doing yourself and your guests a disservice.

Sheerly Rude staff. Go for other behaviour and cost friendlier Indian restaurants.

We were there with Schlemmerblock and were granted the discount without any problems. It should be said that we mentioned it when ordering. The service was friendly and the food was delicious, fresh and plentiful.

The food was very tasty. The only negative point is that it took a relatively long time to deliver. We would still like to order again.

Been there with a gourmet block. This was visible on the table before ordering and throughout the meal. On the invoice it was then pointed out that notice should have been given before the order was placed. The waiter stuck to the fine print and charged for both dishes. Of course this is how you advertise yourself…Never again. The next table (also Schlemmerblock) just shook his head. It's actually a shame, the food was delicious.

The food tasted very good, there is a large selection so there is something for everyone. The atmosphere is pleasant and cozy. The service was excellent, very friendly and attentive. Our little dog was also allowed to be there and was very welcome. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back.

The food was very tasty! The prices are a bit misleading, because Google says that you can get by well with €10-20, which is not the case. In my opinion you can easily leave €25-30 for the meal here. But the ambience and the very filling portions are great. Tip from me: If you are here with 4 people, it is better to only get rice once. The portion you get here is very large and is enough for 3-4 people. Otherwise you can recommend the naan bread here. All in all great and tasty, only the prices are a little different. Would come back and recommend it!

Visited this restaurant last week in combination with the fair. Delicious food, with a nice varied menu. Friendly service and nice atmosphere. Easy to reach within walking distance from the hotels

While the food from this Indian restaurant was absolutely delicious, my experience was completely ruined unfriendly delivery driver. This has been my favorite Indian restaurant for last 5-6 years and I pretty much only eat Indian take aways. Once the driver was rude and I stopped ordering for 6 months when he didn’t want to give me food in my hand and I didn’t have shoes on to go outside to walk up to him. Now he was rude again no hello and has an attitude that the world owes him something. The friendliness of the other Indian restaurant driver means I’ll just order from my second favorite Indian restaurant from now on

Unfortunately we were a little disappointed. The food was mediocre, especially the rice was far too greasy and soggy. The roti bread was also very bland. In addition, we had to wait a very long time for our food (almost an hour) and we found the prices to be high.

Delicious authentic Indian cuisine. The restaurant is located directly on U Wandsbeker Chaussee, so it's easy to reach. Quite a small restaurant but you can also get a table in the evening without a reservation. Unfortunately there is no air conditioning, so it is quite warm in the summer temperatures. Friendly service. Clean toilets. The food is very tasty and fresh. The starters and the delicious yoghurt-coconut dip are particularly recommended. In terms of price, the dishes are rather upscale but the portions are large. If you're looking for a delicious Indian meal in a more upscale atmosphere in Wandsbek, you've come to the right place. A clear recommendation from my side 👍

Zala in Wandsbek was recommended to us because it offers particularly delicious food and delivery is always quick. Apparently many others had the same idea that evening. So we waited about 1 hour for our food. When ordering online you couldn't see how long the delivery times were. I would therefore recommend calling Zala directly if you are particularly hungry and don't want to wait long; ) Our dishes were freshly prepared and delivered very warm. We were all very satisfied with the taste. However, when ordering/menuing two dishes online, we didn't see that they were “just” rice with meat. We missed the vegetables announced on the menu in the two biryani dishes. Overall, I would recommend Zala and order there again myself.

If you want fine and delicious Indian food, this is the right place for you. We've ordered several times, but it tastes even better in person. Ambience and service also 1A. Gladly again!

No discount despite the gourmet block We came across the restaurant via the Hamburger Schlemmerblock. It's a very small restaurant, the atmosphere is quite nice. And the food was good. The service was quick. However, we were disappointed with the payment. We couldn't redeem the Schlemmerblock, we should have said that beforehand. There was nothing to be done. It leaves a negative aftertaste and, in my opinion, is not good advertising.

Such real Indian taste, So I can recommend it. 😋😋

We had a very nice evening at Zala Restaurant. The food was fresh and the portions were sufficient. Super tasty & definitely worth visiting again.

We were there on Saturday, at Zala Wandsbek, and had reserved a table by phone. When we arrived on site, we asked for the opportunity to change tables (as the lighting from the entrance area was very dazzling). There were several free tables with cozy, dim lighting. But they didn't want to give it to us. Were all reserved and for 4 people. (We also sat at a table for 4) When 2 guests later got this table, I got the answer that the table was reserved for 4 people, but only 2 came. We ordered a bottle of white wine, the glasses were immediately filled at the table without tasting. We asked for a wine cooler, there apparently wasn't one. Last but not least, we also got the wrong food. But then we took it because we felt completely unwelcome and wanted to leave quickly. There was no apology. The food was very good. When we left the restaurant around 10:15 p.m., all the reserved tables were still free. Thank God there are several Zala restaurants in Hamburg. Went to Rothenbaum Chaussee 2 weeks ago and several times before, the difference was like night and day. Super nice, friendly service, everything is just right.

We have been to the restaurant a few times and also like to have something delivered. The food is always delicious! And the delivery always works perfectly!

On Saturday we reserved a table to visit Zala, and that was a good thing because the restaurant was well occupied. Both the starter and the main courses were very tasty and the price was absolutely right, we only found the tomato soup to be too expensive. The point is deducted because the background music is too loud and the tables are too narrow for our taste... Neither of these was the case before the renovation and should be reconsidered.

Super tasty but unfortunately very small portion! There are far more but still clear recommendations from other Indians!

Very nice restaurant with delicious food. The atmosphere is right. Here and there a few corners that look unclean, but nothing wild. We would be happy to come back.

I was really disappointed with my experience with Zala Barmbek. Unfortunately, my order took all of 2 hours and the delivery person was also rude at the front door. He claimed the bell wasn't working and raised his voice. This greatly affected the overall impression. I hope that in the future Zala Barmbek will improve their delivery times and ensure that their employees treat customers with respect.

Eating with friends, nice atmosphere. Decor is okay, but the food has very little to do with Indian food. Dyes seem to be popular: unnaturally green dipping sauce in pappadam, red coloring in a dish sold as but unrelated to tandoori. Espresso at the end no longer works ("the beans are out"), service inattentive, even though only two tables in the restaurant are occupied. Not good, too bad!

The food is okay, but not outstanding. The sauces with the bread at the beginning are not that tasty. But the service is very good, friendly at all times. The restaurant is clean, chic and oriental in terms of ambience a 10/10.
