Restaurant Willi-Bechtold-Halle in Gelnhausen in Gelnhausen

We recently ate here and were extremely disappointed!!! The food was absolutely terrible. My "wooden grill plate" was – as is typical in Croatian restaurants – very "meat-heavy" (which is absolutely OK!), but absolutely carelessly prepared. The Djuvec rice was a complete mess, and the meat didn't taste particularly fresh! My wife's "Hajducka Pljeskavice" looked like a meatball from the supermarket, and it tasted that way too! All in all – once and never again!!!!! What a shame!! By the way – Mr. Christ's one comment: "The atmosphere is typically Croatian." If this hodgepodge of plastic flowers and "hitch-hook" is typically Croatian, he's certainly never been to Croatia. (Sorry, but I can't understand that!) When asked about our review by the owner: Yes – we actually went there! You can't make this stuff up! It's a shame they govern like this! We thought it would help them improve! The other reviews are their opinion – ours is ours!

Delicious selection of food, absolutely reasonably priced, friendly service.

An absolute insider tip. A typically Croatian atmosphere. The food was delicious. We had various steaks (entrecôte). Everything was cooked to perfection. The prices were more than reasonable. A 300g steak with a side dish and salad was €29.90. What we were particularly impressed about: dogs are very welcome. At the entrance, they offer treats from a bone basket and homemade dried chicken breast. We'll be back.

The food is incredibly delicious, and the staff is always super friendly. The portions are really generous. I highly recommend it and would gladly return.

War zum ersten Mal dort. Essen sehr lecker und viel. Gibt zwei Mengen zur Auswahl. Personal ist ein Unikat. Top. Der Gastraum ist einfach eingerichtet, aber OK. Kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Leckere kroatische Gerichte aber die Terrasse ist sehr verwuchert

Habe dort mehrmals verschiedene Gerichte mitgenommen. Sowohl die Grillteller, als auch Schnitzel waren immer sehr gut. Auch sehr netter Wirt mit dem man gut smalltalk führen kann. Lediglich die Pommes könnten etwas besser gewürzt sein, vielleicht liegt das aber auch am „to-go-essen“.

Sehr nette Inhaber und gutes Essen. Wir kommen schon seit Jahren. Und das wird in Zukunft auch so bleiben.

Essen super lecker mit Gewürzen nicht gespart. Portion richtig groß..schnäpschen vom Chef gab's auch noch.sehr zu empfehlen.seid Jahren unser lokal.waren heute 6.2 wieder da.schweinemedaillons Madagaskar sowas von 😋 😋 😋 diskrete Musik im Hintergrund. Keine iTunes Charts mehr.

Essen war sehr lecker, hatten zwei verschiedene Grillteller. Service sehr freundlich! Nicht gefallen hat mir dass dunkles Bier vom Fass in der Karte angepriesen wurde, auf dem Tisch dann allerdings ein Köstritzer aus der Flasche landete.

Wir sind leider viel zu selten da, der Wirt ist ein guter und freundlicher Gastgeber. Am Essen kann man höchstens bemängeln, dass es meistens zu viel ist.

Super leckeres Essen. Gehen schon jahrelang dort hin. Man ist immer herzlichst willkommen. Familien mit Kindern immer willkommen.
