Nice little restaurant, delicious food. The prices are pretty intense. But everything is delicious and the staff is friendly and accommodating. Gladly again.

In my opinion a tourist trap with mediocre food and service and high prices. We had pizza and lasagne. Rather disappointing in taste. Pasta with tomato sauce for the child was good but totally overpriced at €15.

Came today for a “snack”. Food was so good! Pizza castello is amazing, so was salad Castello & the soup . Great staff too. Will definitely come back!

We came with 3 people without a reservation. After a moment's hesitation, we were assigned the smallest table because everything else was supposedly reserved. The pizza calzone was very good. The Serano pizza (Serano ham, rocket and parmesan) was served without rocket because it was not available. If I had been told this beforehand, I would have chosen something different. The children's meal (fish fingers with fries) came with rosemary potatoes instead of fries. Luckily it didn't bother our daughter. When we left the restaurant 20 minutes before closing only one other table had been taken. So there was no need for three of us to squeeze together at a small bistro table. During our stay, the guests at the neighboring table were pressured to pay immediately after their meal because the table would supposedly be refilled in 5 minutes. However, this did not happen. A couple who came without a reservation were turned away because there was only an hour left until closing time. All in all, questionable service for us. Maybe we were just unlucky that day, but after the experience we won't be coming back.

It was quite cold but the food and service were excellent

Unfortunately disappointing. My friend had pasta Napoli, which was ok. I can only advise against the vegetable lasagne that I had. Hot on the edges, still cold on the inside. Too many pasta plates, too few vegetables. Bland and uninspired seasoning. The pizzas must be better since the shop was so busy (and loud.) In my experience/comparison to others, it's not a fair price-performance ratio there.

The food is really great, everyone was more than thrilled. The service is totally friendly and attentive. It's a small restaurant and unfortunately the tables are very close together, which I personally don't really like, so a point is deducted. But everything else made up for it. Small but nice ;)

The quality of the pizza was really disappointing. The dough was tough and the ingredients didn't taste fresh. For the price I paid I would have expected much more. The pizza was totally overpriced and definitely not worth the money. I won't order here again.

The pasta is simply delicious! Plus a nice atmosphere. However, the waiter takes his time with the bill and prefers to do other things even though there isn't much going on and also likes to mix up things in the order that he is trying to remember in his head.

I would prefer to give no star at all as a regular customer for years who also advertised this store through an employee who quit his job there because of bullying. Most of the employees are very incompetent and don't speak German. They just call and say sorry for every word because they don't understand the language. In any case, I liked ordering from you and I also did endless advertising for you. As a thank you, we recently had a pizza, but everything else wasn't fresh. To date there has been no response to calls and emails. It's a real shame and that's why I can't recommend you anymore. By the way, after your meal in Quedlinburg from "Prinz Heinrich" I had stomach problems for several days... just like the old pizza you delivered was just disgusting and you weren't even ashamed

The beer garden is beautifully designed👍. You really can't complain about the food, it's beautifully prepared and it's definitely worth a visit.

After culinary belly landings, we found the Castello in Wernigerode on the 3rd evening, thought about it for a while...what the heck....so we went in there and without a reservation 🤦🏻‍♂️, but we were lucky and got two seats. The inner courtyard is lovingly designed with great murals, I'm a fan of "Ratatouille"😜. A charming reception, then immediately the card and then........nothing for a long time.....but hey it was full. The question arises as to whether an asterisk should be deducted for this? A clear no!! The food was really great, the dessert was delicious and the young lady got help in the form of a colleague who was very insightful. Compliments to the staff, that has to be said! So....clear recommendation 👍🏻

Here you can find homemade pasta, which is an absolute unique selling point and quality feature. This tastes fantastic. In summer you can also dine in a great little beer garden with beautifully designed walls.

The courtyard is very beautiful and inviting. Unfortunately, the staff hardly speaks German at all, so orders are forgotten or they simply don't understand what you want. There are also no questions as to whether you would like something else, keyword: a drink replenishment. The demeanor is still friendly but the outfit looks like Couch Sunday. The pizzas are ok. Pasta in tomato sauce with scampi was bland and the scampi tasted earthy. Too bad

There were four of us with two babies. The service was sooo great! Totally accommodating and the lovely employee actually ran after us to bring us our forgotten cheesecloth. Super!

We had a wonderful stay. The weather was summery and we were able to eat outside by the fountain, which, together with the design of the terrace, gave it an additional southern flair. Highly recommended. We spontaneously visited Castello Restaurant&Bar and were thrilled. The Turkish-Italian-Arabic influences harmonize wonderfully with each other. We were lucky and got a place even without making a reservation. The waiter was very friendly and the place also looks very nice from the inside. We are currently spending our vacation in Wernigerode. A very nice atmosphere, super friendly staff. It's a pleasure to spend the evening there.

Despite the very full restaurant, all the waitresses were very attentive to the guests. The food was very tasty and the beer garden with fountain was very cozy.

Unfortunately not worth the money! Blinded by the good reviews and pictures. These all seem to come from the restaurant, rather than from customers being delivered. We ordered four pizzas and two foccacia, plus fries with chicken nuggets. The delivery arrived after about 1.5 hours and was already less than lukewarm. Although the order was ordered directly from Castello, the order was delivered by Dominos, but it is impossible to say whether the pizzas were also prepared by Dominos. Unfortunately none of the pizzas were tasty and the foccacia was stone hard. The fries and chicken nuggets were already completely soggy due to the mist of water in the packaging. It's a shame about the food but we threw away more than half of it. Absolutely not recommended… save your money or spend it somewhere else!

You have to go here if Italian cuisine is in demand

If you don't have a reservation, it takes a long time for the food to arrive and the waiters tend to misunderstand things, but the food is good and so is the ambience. The pizza was very tasty. The Frutti del mare were very one-sided, only small shrimps. For bruschetta it would have been nice if the bread had been toasted.

Very very tasty food overall. Unfortunately a small exception. The Serrano ham did not initially come in slices but was cooked through and diced... We also had to wait quite a long time, even though it was busy but not overly crowded for the time of day. Other guests came after us, ate and paid before we were served. Service is friendly and attentive, but there are more languages ​​spoken than there are windows in the restaurant, and above all there are few common... 4 stars anyway. Friendly location and very tasty dishes (pizzas and lasagna).

The stars for the food only refer to the cocktails, they weren't visually what you're used to, but the service staff were in a good mood and very friendly. From issuing menus to receiving orders, it was quite quick, even though there was a lot going on. Ambience in the beer garden, very reminiscent of a children's film but beautifully done.

Food tasty, service not good. It's a shame, we were different from that Castello used to. There were only two of us in the restaurant - a long wait (maybe too much... Beer garden to do?) and after the pizza was served there was no service or the drink order was not served - at 30 degrees you are a little more thirsty. It's a shame - very slacked off.

We wanted a break from the German Cuisine and decided to have something different. Unfortunately the food wasn’t great. The pizza margarita was overloaded with cheese and we think the crust was from frozen as opposed to freshly made. The bruschetta was quite tasty but swimming in olive oil. In summary we felt like typical tourists being ripped off by high prices for very average food.

A beautifully landscaped courtyard. We are Wernigerode and were absolutely surprised at what was built here, so much attention to detail and, above all, how warmly we were welcomed. Absolute recommendation! The small Turkish seating area is very cozy and unique in Wernigerode. We'll be back!

We went to the restaurant for dinner and sat at one of the tables on the street. The service was friendly, attentive and quick. The food was nicely prepared and very tasty. The portions were sufficiently large. A glass of water was served with the espresso - that's normal, but unfortunately that's not a given everywhere. Overall: top value for money and can be recommended with a clear conscience!

I have been to the Castello twice and unfortunately I was disappointed each time. I had a mojito without brown sugar and mint, plain mineral water with two lime slices and 2ml rum, priced at 7.5 euros and which took 15 minutes to arrive even though two tables in the restaurant were occupied. Pasta with salmon and homemade pasta, I only ate a small part from above because downstairs I felt like the US oil company was about to come and raid my plate, tasteless and disgustingly oily and for the incredible price of 17.50 euros . Last time I was served Caesar salad with carrots and cucumber... I think I said it all there. Italian cuisine that Italy has never seen. The service is mediocre. Overall I give 2 stars because the pizza we ordered to take away was ok.

The atmosphere is very pleasant and you feel at home at first. However, it was very cold in the guest room and the toilets were unreasonable! The service staff were very friendly and tried hard. Unfortunately that didn't help much... I was brought the wrong food twice. Although I made it very clear what I would like to eat, which was parpadelle with cream sauce, chicken and spinach, it was only parpadelle with quattro formaggi sauce and beef and spinach that was brought to me. I wanted to eat it at first, but then I said for the second time that I didn't like the Quattro Formaggi sauce. I got the new dish relatively quickly: papardelle with Quattro Formaggi sauce and chicken and spinach... Sigh... I then ate a bit and we left. It's a shame, you could do more with the restaurant...

We were at the Castello for the first time. The excellent quality of the food matches the dignified ambience. We were thrilled and will definitely be happy to be guests again soon.

So if you're in the mood for Italian cuisine... pizza, spaghetti, etc... then you've come to the right place. The food is just great there. We ate there twice during our vacation. 2 people, 2 drinks each, each a main course that is not too big/not too small in portions, under 55€. Good price👍🏻

You shouldn't arrive already hypoglycemic. Unfortunately everything took a very long time. We only had our food after 1.75 hours, but we only had pizza and pasta and then everything wasn't even really warm. Maybe on a Saturday evening the focus should be on in-house and not out-of-house service.

We were there for the first time. The young woman who greeted us was super pleasant and nice. First of all we had mushrooms in Gorgonzola sauce which was really tasty. Very nice atmosphere and enjoyable place to experience Italian cuisine in the city. We ordered gnocchi pasta and nutella calzone. It was delicious. The service staff was very friendly and attentive. We had a wonderful evening without missing anything.

Whenever i passed by this restaurant i saw it filled with people. So i got the chance to visit there several times. The food was amazing. Especially Kalzone and pastas. I would eat there every day if i could. The waiters were very attentive and friendly. The music and interior design was so cozy that every time when i was leaving this place i felt so happy. Thank you for everything again and again. What an experience!

Ordered via Lieferando for just under €80. 5 dishes 1 salad. Only 1 dish received after over 60 minutes. And that on a relaxing vacation. Now we can drive off by car... Nobody can be reached by phone!! Absolutely bad. Edit: Saturday night up to and including Monday severe diarrhea in the family. The health department has been informed Unfortunately there is absolutely no response from the restaurant in this regard.

Well, the reviews were better than the food. Everything was very unclean and some of the dishes were very poorly maintained and cleaned. Dishes poor and not that good. Pizza ok and perfect.

Über liferando bestellt. Als ersten fehlten 3 Pizzen ein Salat und ein Auflauf. Ein Auflauf wurde geliefert. Der Lieferant sprach kein Wort deutsch und ist einfach wieder gefahren . Mehrere Anrufe und Beschwerden haben nicht geklappt. Bei einem Anruf wurde einfach wieder aufgelegt nachdem ich das Problem geschildert habe. Nach über 1 Std kam ein anderer Fahrer und brachte endlich die fehlenden Pizzen und Aufläufe. Jetzt zum Essen Ansich. Meine Salami Pizza war total fettig und total versalzen. Der eine Auflauf ohne Geschmack. Der Salat war ok. Nie wieder dieser Pizzeria

Pizza nichts besonderes. Das einzige Fleischgericht mit 30€. Wir haben extra gesagt „well done“, leider kam es viel zu rosa an. Bei den gnocchi wurde ohne Fleisch bestellt und trotzdem der volle Preis berechnet. Im Nachhinein gesehen, schon lang nicht mehr so schlecht gegessen.

Guter Italiener mit leckerem Essen. Der Wohlfühlfaktor geht aber durch die etwas triste Inneneinrichtung ein wenig verloren.. Leider gibt es auch keine Oliven oder etwas Brot vorweg, wie wir es von anderen Italienern kennen… Auch auf den Grappa bzw. Sambuca aufs Haus wartet man vergebens. Aber jeder Italiener verfolgt nun mal ein anderes Konzept. Alles in allem aber ein netter Abend mit gut zubereiteten Speisen. Der Pizzateig ist echt richtig lecker!
