Restaurant Weiherhof in Wadern

Never again Restaurant Weiherhof!! We dined at Restaurant Weiherhof on December 13, 2025. The occasion was a Christmas celebration with colleagues. The reservation was requested and confirmed well in advance. The menu was emailed to us to give us an overview of the dishes offered. Initially, everything seemed fine. However, on the evening in question, we discovered that only two items remained from the menu we had been shown: a Thai noodle dish and a veal steak. When we pointed this out to the server, we were told that only these two dishes were available for us. A vegan dish had been arranged for one of our colleagues, but it was no longer available. We expressed our dissatisfaction, which was dismissed with the comment that if we didn't want to accept the menu, we could leave, and we should decide quickly, as other guests had apparently already requested the table. Finding a table for 16 people on a Saturday evening proved to be quite a challenge. The behavior of the waitstaff and the owner or chef, whatever their position may have been, is beyond outrageous. Guests who book a table well in advance and are then fobbed off with flimsy excuses and a ridiculously limited menu is simply unacceptable. We will absolutely not be posting any positive reviews for this restaurant (it's hard for me to call it that). I work in the industry myself and know what I'm talking about. All I can say is: keep it up, let's see where they end up. Note: The other guests received the dishes they ordered, which were listed on the menu.

The restaurant lacks atmosphere and resembles a canteen, with only large tables, making it rather uncomfortable for two people. Neither the menu on the website nor the one on the board outside matched the menu on the menu itself. I ultimately opted for the truffle pasta, which was excellent. My companion had the veal schnitzel, which was served with spaghetti, and was also excellent. The service was friendly.

We celebrated our wedding at the Golfpark Weiherhof restaurant and would love to give it more than 5 stars 🏆. This location is perfect for a wedding or similar celebration. The support and guidance during the wedding planning process was incredibly warm. The food, the service, and the ambiance were simply perfect. We are infinitely grateful for this wonderful day ♥.

Easter Monday and ordered menu twice. Once rack of lamb and once zander, both times with a fish soup as a starter and an “espresso with a surprise” to finish. In between, a lemon sorbet with sparkling wine. I'll keep it short. Everything was very good and beautifully presented, the fish and the lamb were grilled to perfection. Gladly again at any time.

We visited the restaurant last week for the first time in a while: the atmosphere was rather chilly, there were no tables for two, and as a couple, you sit at a huge table. The food was more show than substance: higher-priced dishes that normally justify their price when you read the menu, but what's served is bland, lacking in refinement, bland, and not to the point. We'd rather drive to the previous tenant a few kilometers away, where you know what you're getting for your money.

The friendly approach of the staff towards guests is particularly noteworthy. The atmosphere in the restaurant is inviting, and the team makes a clear effort to meet the needs of its guests. This contributes significantly to a relaxing stay. For golf enthusiasts, the restaurant, with its so-called 19th hole, offers a pleasant place to end the day in convivial company. Non-golfers will also find a cozy place here for a good meal in pleasant surroundings. The ambiance of the Weiherhof is bright and friendly, which, together with the friendly guests, creates a warm and relaxed atmosphere. It is a place where you enjoy spending time, whether for a meal or simply to be in good company. In summary, the Weiherhof Restaurant offers solid cuisine and very friendly service in a pleasant ambiance. It's a lovely place for anyone who appreciates good food and a warm atmosphere.

Great golf course, attractive restaurant.

A great location. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has deteriorated significantly compared to 2022.

We come here regularly. The terrace is a dream in summer with the view of the well-kept square and the atmosphere inside is also very nice. The food is excellent and the waitresses are polite, warm and helpful. Prices are reasonable and special requests are always fulfilled. Be sure to visit!

Tolles Essen, immer frisch zubereitet. Preis/Qualität nicht zu toppen.. Service freundlich und schnell. Es lohnt sich, ein Abstecher hierher zu machen.

Hochwertiges Ambiente im Restaurant. Bei der Reservierung sollte man explizit hervorheben, dass man im Restaurant sitzen möchte, da es alternativ das größere, aber einfacher ausgestattete Bistro für die Golfspieler gibt. Sehr moderate Weinpreise und wechselnde Spezialitäten im Angebot. Eine Reise wert würde man bei „Michelin“ sagen, insbesondere mit den sehr schönen Gästezimmern (Weiherhofappartments).

Stilvoll und gemütliches Restaurant zum Wohlfühlen. Das 3. Gänge Fisch Menü war sehr lecker. Eine sehr große Weinauswahl. Die Bedienung sehr aufmerksam und sehr freundlich, aber nicht übertrieben! Wiederkommen garantiert!

Hervorragende Küche! Der Service ist sehr zuvorkommend.

Wir waren mit einer größeren Gruppe dort. Bis auf ein Gericht war das Essen sehr lecker und ansprechend. Timing bei der Essenausgabe war prima. Anfangs guter Service, nur nach dem Essen hat man uns offenbar „vergessen“. Keine Getränke mehr, keine Teller abgeräumt. Da wäre mehr Umsatz möglich gewesen. Schade eigentlich.

Gutes Personal aber die Küche nicht mein Geschmack

Hervorragende Location, top Küche nette Bedienung. Ein ruhiger Ort zum Wohlfühlen.

Inhaber hat gewechselt Jetzt ist das Restaurant Inhabergeführt. Schmackhaftes Essen, professionelle Mitarbeiter. Die Speisekarte ist zwar zur Zeit etwas klein, das ist aber COVID 19, und natürlich der Jahreszeit geschuldet. Ein Kaminzimmer ist vorhanden, in dem man bei angenehmen Temperaturen gut essen kann

Sehr leckere Speisen, Preis/Leistung stimmt.

Haben hier mit 6 Personen nach der Golfrunde gegessen. Sehr ansprechende Speisekarte. Alle waren mit ihrem gewählten Gericht sehr zufrieden.
