Gaststätte Baurnschenke in Wadern

A small, well-maintained pub on Lake Noswendel. You can rent pedal boats there. In the summer, there's a flea market every two months. On Sundays, a local association offers coffee and cake. And there are sausages and fries. Very friendly owners.

Easter Monday and ordered menu twice. Once rack of lamb and once zander, both times with a fish soup as a starter and an “espresso with a surprise” to finish. In between, a lemon sorbet with sparkling wine. I'll keep it short. Everything was very good and beautifully presented, the fish and the lamb were grilled to perfection. Gladly again at any time.

Unfortunately, we ate the worst rump steak in years, or rather, sent it back. It wasn't the tendon that was to blame here, but the quality. Not even the beef flavor. They're cutting corners here. Service was good. We still had to pay. Things won't last long under the new owner.

The food is very good! The service was also very friendly and accommodating!
