The Waldsee Terrace in Haslach is a real highlight! The location directly on the lake is simply stunning and invites you to linger. The staff is super friendly and attentive, and the food is truly delicious, especially the homemade cakes! There's also a playground and a mini golf course for children, making the trip perfect. Highly recommended!

It's always nice and, above all, delicious there...on weekends, it's advisable to reserve a table...mini golf and a small playground are also nearby...the small lake with seating also invites you to linger....👍

My breaded schnitzel with sauce and a side salad was truly delicious and filling. My wife ordered the "Summertime" salad plate with chicken breast. With drinks, two beers, and a water, we paid around €50. It's about an eight-minute walk to the lake, and 15 to 20 minutes to the city center. Dogs are welcome.

A forest lake with old trees, a children's playground, and a mini golf course. A shady forest path along the stream is perfect for strolling to the next village. Simply a place to spend an entire summer day.

We got a spot spontaneously and had a very good meal. The weather was bad, so we ate inside. There's a playground and a small lake. It's a lovely spot with good food and fast service.

The restaurant is a little outside the center - but centrally located on the hiking trails, with its own playground. If you want to stop there, you should definitely reserve a table, especially if you want to stop there with a group. Otherwise there may be longer waiting times. The restaurant is very strict with its reservation times. But the food was really great. Service was quick even though the restaurant was packed. A little more “humor” would have suited the lady, but I can understand why it can be stressful. Due to the modern, somewhat sparse furnishings, the noise level is rather high. The quality and taste of the food was excellent and the prices were reasonable even for today's times. The waiting times were absolutely fine. Can recommend it with a clear conscience.

Very good excursion restaurant in which we have been very satisfied guests many times. Before I wrote this review, I looked at all the other reviews: I could understand very few of the negative ones. The Waldsee restaurant is one of the best restaurants around Haslach.

Completely overwhelmed – price-performance = flop We spontaneously decided to visit this restaurant on a forest lake and were looking forward to a nice evening. Unfortunately we were completely disappointed. Despite free tables inside and outside, we were turned away at 7 p.m. on the grounds that we were "done for the day." However, other guests who arrived at the same time were allowed to sit down without any problem. It was probably a mistake to politely ask where you could sit down. When we politely asked why we couldn't get a seat while other guests were allowed to stay, we were simply told that they couldn't offer us anything more. This clearance was simply incredible. Particularly irritating: On the homepage it says that the kitchen is open until 8 p.m. and the restaurant itself is open until 9 p.m. The service staff was extremely unfriendly - true to the motto: "We are a tourist restaurant and don't need to be friendly. It's full anyway, so a few guests more or less doesn't matter." Nothing like this has ever happened to me. We often and happily support the catering industry, but we definitely won't be coming here again.

Wir hatten uns spontan entschieden, dieses Ausflugslokal an einem Waldsee zu besuchen und freuten uns auf einen netten Abend. Leider wurden wir komplett enttäuscht. Trotz freier Tische drinnen und draußen wurden wir um 19:00 Uhr abgewiesen mit der Begründung, man sei "für heute durch". Andere Gäste, die zeitgleich ankamen, durften sich jedoch problemlos hinsetzen. Es war wohl ein Fehler freundlich zu fragen wo man sich hinsetzen dürfe. Als wir höflich nachfragten, warum wir keinen Platz bekommen, während andere Gäste bleiben durften, hieß es nur, dass man uns nichts mehr anbieten könne. Diese Abfertigung war einfach unglaublich. Besonders irritierend: Auf der Homepage steht, dass die Küche bis 20:00 Uhr geöffnet ist, das Lokal selbst bis 21:00 Uhr. Die Servicekraft war extrem unfreundlich – ganz nach dem Motto: "Wir sind ein Ausflugslokal und haben es nicht nötig, freundlich zu sein. Es ist eh voll, da kommt es auf ein paar Gäste mehr oder weniger nicht an." So etwas ist mir noch nie passiert. Wir unterstützen oft und gerne die Gastronomie, aber hier werden wir definitiv nicht wieder einkehren.

We were offered a table, 5 minutes later our choice was noted down and 20 minutes later we were already eating. All tasty and fresh and the service was cordial. Only point of criticism; the lack of some lettuce with steak or schnitzel. You have to make do with 1 slice of tomato. But maybe this is typically German...

It's all very new and high quality. The staff is also very attentive. The food is really good but not for those on a budget. There is a small playground 10 meters from the restaurant terrace as well as a small mini golf course. After your meal, you can take a short walk around the forest lake, which is not a stone's throw away from the restaurant terrace. In general it's a nice place to switch off for a few hours. There is also a free parking space 30 meters in front of the restaurant.

We zijn hier geweest tijdens een rustdag. De eigenaar was er toevallig en gaf ons toch een drankje, de kids zelfs een gratis ijsje! Vandaag terug gegaan voor diner. Het eten was heerlijk. Goede kwaliteit, veel vers en huisgemaakt. Grote porties en veel variatie in de kaart. Het was er ook druk, veel locals. Snel en kundig bediend en ook het eten kwam vlot. Wij hebben buiten gezeten op het terras. Prachtig gelegen met een speeltuin. Hier komen we zeker nog eens terug!

Es gibt rein garnichts auszusetzen. Wir waren nun nach 2 Jahren noch mal dort und es war wieder hervorragend. Wir waren mit 2 Kindern und einem Baby dort, und man hatte einen Herzlichen Eindruck. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön und ruhig. Das Personal ist freundlich und offen. Auf der Speisekarte gibt es vegetarische Gerichte und auf Anfrage können sie verschiedene Gerichte auch in vegan kochen (im Bild zu erkennen). Das Essen ist sehr lecker und die Portionen perfekt.
