Hotel-Restaurant Ochsen in Haslach im Kinzigtal

Last night, we waited 2.5 hours for our roulade and an omelet with chanterelle mushrooms. It was unimaginable, but then came scrambled eggs with chanterelle mushrooms, which in Germany is considered an omelet. So, as a veteran restaurateur with 40 years of experience, I have to say, you better stop doing your job. It was obvious in the kitchen that the owner of the house couldn't cope any longer due to health reasons. I wish you all the best; you should think about it. The boss is also very ill. A beautiful, albeit older, hotel, very clean. The food in the restaurant was delicious, as was the breakfast. Yes, you do have to wait a bit for your food, but you get quality instead of run-of-the-mill. The service was excellent and very friendly. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

A very nice old fashion hotel with a convenient facilty at room,clean and comfortable, silent and the owner is very friendly and open to guest to communicate. Breakfast is super satisfactory. Connection to public Transport is no problem. Friendly also to animals,with a parking facilities. Been in few hotels but this place i won't forgot spending our vacation with my son. One of my best hotel,where i stayed.

A beautiful hotel with very friendly staff. The rooms are harmoniously furnished, matching the overall style of the hotel, and the beds are very comfortable! We had an incredibly delicious meal in the restaurant. The hand-grated spaetzle were even the best I've ever tasted. High praise!

We were invited to my sister's wedding in Haslach at the Gasthof Ochsen. The inn is beautiful, very cozy and has everything you could wish for. Super good food. Very nice rooms with a fridge that has everything you need if you're thirsty. And above all, a very nice boss who puts her heart and soul into her work and always sees when a glass is empty and promptly there's a new cold drink on the table. I can only recommend this inn. Highly recommended! We spent two nights at this hotel and were absolutely thrilled. The breakfast was delicious and offered a great selection of cold cuts, cheeses, and baked goods. The warm meals served in the truly pleasant atmosphere are particularly noteworthy – a delight! The friendly owner made our stay even more enjoyable with her warmth. We'd love to come back!

A super friendly hotel! Nothing was left to be desired. My room was clean and had everything I needed! Even a well-stocked minibar. The bed was comfortable, although the headboard was damaged. In general, the hotel is very old and not inviting at first glance...but the friendliness with which I was treated made up for everything! The food was excellent!

Centrally located, very clean. The owners are very nice and friendly. The food is freshly prepared and very tasty. I'm happy to wait a little longer for that. Breakfast is plentiful, prepared with love, and everything is fresh. Special requests are also accommodated where possible. We would love to come back. Our large dog was also welcome.

Was there to eat for the first time since moving to Kinzigtal. And I can only say that the food is a dream, everything is just the way I like to eat it, from the salad dressing to the main course, it's simply great. The service is also first class, I have absolutely nothing to complain about, rather than 5 stars there are many more stars. Top!!!!!!

Today we ate at the Ochsen restaurant. The food was super tasty and the service was really friendly. The inn can only be recommended. Our plates were completely empty.

We found that hotel-restaurant by chance and we really enjoyed it. We came back the following day. All the dishes were spectacular and Monika was so kind with us. It is definitely one of the best places we have visited in the region.

We recently visited the Ochsen. Here the customer is still king. I have rarely experienced such great service. The food is delicious, of course you wait for the food, after all it is a fresh kitchen. Everything prepared with love and conscious care 🍀🙏🏻. I can only recommend the ox 😊.

Delicious and freshly prepared food in the restaurant, but waiting times beyond good and bad. We waited 50 minutes for our first drinks, and most of them were still stale. We had to wait 3.5 hours for food. Even if it was good, we won't be back with such waiting times...

Restaurant: very long waiting time! Since we (unfortunately) hadn't made a reservation beforehand, we got run-of-the-mill food, even though we had ordered the 3-course asparagus menu for just over 45 euros. We decided not to have dessert, otherwise it would have taken another hour longer. My husband was there 1 month before and received the same menu with much better preparation - there was almost nothing going on. Unfortunately they don't have enough service staff.

The rooms are equipped with everything you need. The service and breakfast were great. We will be back

They don't get one star from me. Have celebrated a party. Ordered a drink. No idea, wait 20 minutes first. Then until the salad came. Then the salad was still dirty. Then the food came 1 hour later even though we had a closed group. Sure because there was only 1 condition. Then there was hair in the food and they didn't even want to exchange it... Dessert nayaa... And then they didn't even want to talk about the price beforehand. In my opinion it's a rip off... It was my first time there and also my last time. I don't want to know what the rooms look like... Just a 0

This was my second time there and unfortunately I have to say that I understand friendliness differently. Normally you should treat the customer in a friendly manner. The first time there was a Christmas meal there, the waitress spilled a drink on me, no apology, no serving to dry me out. The second time a colleague stood in the way and the announcement was hello, I have to get through there. And even after that, the tone didn't get any friendlier. The sauce was so thick that you could turn the gravy boat over and it hardly moved at all. The operator would be happy to contact me about this.

Great breakfast, tidy rooms, good location, very friendly hosts

We stayed here for one night. Although the hotel is located on a street, we had a restful sleep because of the great mattress and new windows. The minibar was well stocked. Breakfast was served at the table, was delicious and extremely plentiful. 5 types of sausage and cheese each + honey, jam and the breakfast egg was perfectly cooked. The service was very attentive and friendly - we asked if everything was okay and if we needed anything else.

Bewertung bezieht sich auf das Restaurant, das Hotel kenne ich nicht. Das Ambiente im Restaurant hat schon etwas "Patina" im Stile der achtziger Jahre, ist aber gemütlich und einladend. Die Speisekarte hat eine übersichtliche Auswahl an Klassikern mit Fleisch (u. a. Schnitzel, Steak, Roulade, Vesper, Wurstsalat) und zwei/drei vegetarische Gerichte. Unser Rumpsteak war perfekt medium, ein toller Genuss! Genauso hochwertig und lecker die panierten Schnitzel der Kinder, auch mein mit Parmesan überbackener Herrentopf mit diversen Fleischsorten war hervorragend. Die Beilagen und der Salat waren ebenso einwandfrei und optimal angerichtet. Die Speisen werden ohne Schnickschnack serviert, sehr gut! Da die Wirtin alleine bedient, muss eine etwas längere Verweildauer eingeplant werden, ist aber natürlich kein Problem, man will ja einen gemütlichen Abend verbringen und ist nicht im Schnellimbiss. Trotz viel Arbeit ist die Chefin stets freundlich, zuvorkommend und kompetent. Die Preise sind ob der tollen Qualität absolut angemessen, allerdings sind die Getränkepreise schon sehr deftig, was ja aber leider inzwischen die Regel in der Gastronomie ist... Absolute Empfehlung! Da gut besucht, empfiehlt sich eine Reservierung.
