For hot meals, there are comparable, but cheaper, options elsewhere. Cakes are good, but the selection is limited.

Highly recommended, a lovely restaurant on the golf course with excellent food. Upon request, they omitted a spice due to a food intolerance, which we were very pleased about.

We've eaten here several times and can highly recommend the restaurant. The service is excellent, the ambiance is wonderful—especially in summer with the lovely terrace—and the food is delicious! We always enjoy coming back.

I've never eaten such a special antipasti salad! For €14.50, it was a really large portion, the vegetables were cooked to perfection, and the melon and feta cheese went wonderfully with it! The ambiance and service were the icing on the cake and contributed to a successful evening. And if you like ice cream, I highly recommend the orange ice cream 😉. I'm looking forward to my next visit!

We had the breaded cottage cheese as a starter. The breading was super crispy. We were glad we shared the starter; it might have been too much for one person. The fig mustard was a bit too spicy for us; we're just not mustard fans. The main courses were also delicious. For dessert, we had the chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream, which is also highly recommended. The service was very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the ambiance.

I went there today with a friend for the first time. We really enjoyed the ambiance, and the service was super attentive. We shared an appetizer, which was perfectly adequate. The main courses were also very filling and delicious. I didn't finish my portion, which doesn't happen very often when I eat out, especially with a pasta dish. The portions were really fair. The prices were also fair and reasonable. We'd be happy to come back again and can definitely recommend the Wachtelkönig. By the way, it was definitely worth making a reservation; it was quite busy on a Friday evening.

We left the Wachtelkönig with mixed feelings, although I have to say that this is less due to the restaurant itself than to the golf course surroundings. The food was good overall; we particularly enjoyed the various appetizer dips. The prices are reasonable, yet you can still feel the proximity to the golf course. We received friendly and quick service, and the staff are happy to give recommendations. Finally, regarding the ambiance, objectively, both the outside and inside areas are beautiful, and in good weather, it's pleasant to sit directly opposite a small pond with a fountain. At the same time, the restaurant is part of a golf course and golf club, which unfortunately made us feel rather underdressed and out of place in "normal" clothing. If that's not your case, you'll find a good restaurant here; we probably won't be returning.

It was our first time there, and the atmosphere was very nice. Unfortunately, we were given a table in the adjoining room for 10 people. The restaurant itself would have been nicer, as we felt a bit isolated there. Next time, we'll book there. The food was good and the price was reasonable.

Golf course and food in a great location

We went to the Corncrake for lunch today. In addition to the current menu, there is currently a seasonal wild menu from which we chose our dishes. There were deer medallions with dumplings and Brussels sprouts as well as a forest mushroom dumpling pan (here we swapped the forest mushrooms for butter spaetzle). The service was very attentive, exchanging dumplings for butter spaetzle was easy after a quick inquiry in the kitchen and the food was very tasty. We really enjoyed it and would love to come back.

Nice restaurant, nice grounds, invites you to Take a walk. Service good, food ok. I had veal schnitzel. A bit careless on the plate, meat wasn't as tender as I would have expected, potato salad served was bland and boring. The bowl was delicious, a little too much rice. Patti's burger was crispy all the way through and around the edges... it shouldn't be received by the guest that way either. But the fries - a dream. Pinsa was simply delicious. So ok, but room for improvement.

We celebrated a 60th birthday there with 35 people! Buffet great! Room great! Staff more than great! Everyone was completely satisfied and felt well looked after. The staff were very attentive to the guests but not intrusive.

Service was nice and attentive. Salmon bowl and currywurst with fries were delicious. Chanterelle cream soup, well, not enough chanterelles in it and it could just as easily have been a chanterelle cream sauce. I wouldn't recommend the soup.

Restaurant on the golf course grounds. Ambience is more bistro style. We had asparagus. The portion was large enough, but the asparagus was too crispy for me and could have been used. It was tasty nonetheless.

We celebrated our wedding at the Corncrake last weekend. From the first appointment we were impressed by Nina as a person and the entire atmosphere and it should stay that way. The planning was so easy and nothing was a problem and was made possible (free wedding ceremony outside/bouncy castle for the children,...). The service and kitchen team actually deserve significantly more than the 5 possible stars. Great recommendation!

We celebrated confirmation with 16 people and can really recommend it without reservation. Professional briefing beforehand; All agreements were implemented excellently and “delivered” on the big day in terms of service, rooms and food. Many thanks to the whole crew!!!

You can't beat the warmth and unpretentious friendliness. Huge portions and it was delicious!!

So far we have only been to the Wachtelkönig twice for coffee and cake, both times it was very tasty and topped off by extremely friendly service.

We celebrated our wedding there (12 p.m. - 8 p.m.). From the planning to the celebration, everything went perfectly. We can only recommend it. Great location, very friendly staff and the food tasted great. Very good quality and superbly prepared. Everything from the menu was the right choice and combination. Lunch buffet, coffee and dinner...again at any time. Thanks to the whole corncrake team.

Great wild card, implemented almost to perfection! To melt away both in terms of taste and appearance. Certainly unsurpassed in the surrounding area. The service is courteous, friendly, attentive and quick. There is never the impression of being rushed and you can blindly rely on the staff's recommendations. Here too, big praise! The view of the golf course facilities in particular adds to the charm of the ambience. But inside you will also be greeted with seasonal decoration, friendly, warm colors and always with a smile. All in all, an unreserved recommendation. You're welcome to keep it up!

Unfortunately, one dish from the wild card was “off”. Unfortunately, the information only came shortly after we ordered. Annoying! Half the duck was very, very dry and there could have been one more of the bacon dumpling on the plate for the price. But we will definitely come back again in the summer.

Leider kann ich das Essen nicht bewerten, da es nicht dazu kam. Ich hatte am späteren Nachmittag nache einer Tischreservierung gefragt und man sagte mir, wir müssten einfach vorbei kommen und gucken ob was frei ist wegen dem Adventsmarkt. 19 Uhr angekommen und alles geschlossen. Nochmal angerufen, sagte man mir, wir haben heute kein Al`a Carte Geschäft und das Restaurant sei geschlossen. Sehr sehr enttäuscht, dass man uns so im unklaren gelassen hat. Wir waren müde und wollten einfach was essen. Und ich hatte der Dame beim ersten Anruf gesagt, wir seien nur auf der Durchreise und wollten abends essen gehen.

Weihnachtsmarkt im Golfclub - leider diesmal vorne. Die Atmosphäre war letztes Jahr besser. Hinten mit dem Blick auf den See und Elvis dem Alpaka hat es mehr Spaß gemacht. Jetzt war es matschig und alles hat sich auf der Fläche verlaufen...

Sehr moderne und hübsche Einrichtung. Wir hatten dorthin unsere Familie nach der standesamtlichen Trauung geladen. Hatten einen extra Raum, so dass die Kinder auch toben konnten und andere Gäste nicht gestört werden. Wir waren insgesamt 22 Personen! Der Service war exzellent! Die Chefin ist jung, sehr nett und die Kommunikation davor war sehr einfach. Alles top! Sehr zu empfehlen!

Tolles Ambiente, sehr höfliche und aufmerksame Servicekräfte habe hier am 04.11.23 meinen 50 Geb. gefeiert und kann den Wachtelkönig nur empfehlen. Danke an das Team für die tolle Organisation.

Wir waren heute zum ersten mal im „Wachtelkönig“ essen und waren direkt vollkommen begeistert! Angefangen haben wir mit dem Bruscetta, welches wirklich sehr lecker war. Wir haben uns dieses zu zweit geteilt und kamen damit gut aus! Als Hauptspeise haben wir beide das Wiener Schnitzel bestellt und auch davon waren wir beide begeistert (vor allem der Gurken-Kartoffel-Salat schmeckte hervorragend!!). Auch hervorzuheben ist die unglaublich nette Bedienung in dem schönen Restaurant am Golfclub. Beim Bezahlen erwähnten wir, dass wir erst neulich in die Nähe gezogen waren und erhielten darauf noch weitere Empfehlungen für die Umgebung. All in all haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt und waren auch sehr begeistert sowohl vom Essen als auch vom Service. Auch unser Hund war willkommen und wir wurden direkt danach gefragt, ob wir für ihn etwas zu trinken haben möchten :) WIR KOMMEN DEFINITIV WIEDER! 🤩

Wir haben hier unsere Hochzeitsfeier mit ca 70 Personen gefeiert. Wir sind von vorne bis hinten rundum begeistert. Bei der Planung und Umsetzung wurde uns sehr viel vom Personal abgenommen und auch auf etwas besondere Wünsche bei der Menügestalltung wurden wir nicht enttäuscht. Das Personal war den ganzen Abend über sehr freundlich und hat immer dafür gesorgt, dass alle Gäste immer gut bedient wurden. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Für Familien- und Firmenfeiern können wir den Wachtelkönig wärmstens empfehlen.

Beide Gerichte waren lecker und absolut zu empfehlen. Optisch toll angerichtet und super im Geschmack. Zum Dessert gab es Schokokuchen mit heißen Kern und einer Kugel Vanilleeis. Wir saßen auf der Terrasse, die dank des tollen Wetters bis auf den letzten Platz gefüllt war, drinnen hätte man platztechnisch aber die volle Auswahl gehabt, somit behaupte ich mal, dass man im Sommer nicht reservieren muss wenn man auch mit einem Platz im schön eingerichteten Restaurant zufrieden ist und nicht auf die Terrasse möchte. 9.5v10

Wit hatten win hervorragendes Weihnachtsessen mit der ganzen Familie. Das Essen war richtig lecker und der Service sehr zuvorkommend und ausgesprochen freundlich. Die Kinder konnten sogar etwas rumlaufen und wurden dazu noch ermuntert. Das haben wir in anderen Restaurants schon ganz anders erlebt. Perfekter Abend, vielen Dank!

Habe heute am 26.11.2022 mit Familie und Freunden meinen 70 Geburtstag im Wachtelkönig gefeiert. Das Mittagessen war super. Das Fleisch war ausgezeichnet. Das Gemüse war klasse. Die Bedienung war aufmerksam es wurde stets nachgelegt. Wenn feiern dann im Wachtelkönig.

Ausgezeichnetes Lokal, sehr freundliches und schnelles Personal. Wunderschönes Ambiente.

Uns hat es gut gefallen. Wir kommen mal wieder.
