Excellent value for money; good, clean room; great breakfast; good bicycle storage; friendly information

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel has a very nice view to sit outside and enjoy a cocktail. The breakfast was simple and relatively good. There is plenty of free parking. The neighborhood in general is very beautiful! I liked it a lot. I wish I could walk around there. Cons: The internet wasn't very good so I struggled a bit to do my work. And there is no elevator, so it's a bit difficult to carry your suitcase upstairs. The restaurant had dishes, but we didn't like the food we had, but the staff was very pleasant and helpful.

I really appreciate the setting here, as it's really beautiful near the harbor. I tried the Bootsmanteller dish, and it was truly delicious. However, I was not at all satisfied with the attitude of one of the employees—I don't know if he's German. He acted as if he were the boss here. I only saw him bossing the other employees around and only being responsible for cashing. A "boss" with a very unsatisfactory attitude—he spoke extremely rudely, and even when serving the food, he didn't show any kindness. I looked at his name tag, but I only remember "D. Ku." Honestly, despite the good food, I won't be coming back.

August 23, 2025 This was my second visit to this restaurant. The atmosphere is nice, but this time I was very disappointed with the service from employee D. Küsel. He ignored orders, brought the wrong drink without apology, and was generally very rude. He always delegated tasks like ordering or clearing to a young Chinese or Thai employee with black hair. Our entire table (4 people) was extremely dissatisfied with this behavior.

Very poor service, unfriendly—especially towards boaters. Better to move on…

It's absolutely beautiful here. The food in the restaurant was amazing! And the breakfast buffet was fantastic, everything you could wish for. We had a separate room in the room for our little one, where he felt very comfortable. His TV had Netflix. That was, of course, a real hit for him. The Wi-Fi is free and worked perfectly. We felt very comfortable here.

We had a delicious meal and enjoyed excellent service. The view is always fantastic.

As part of our Weser cycling tour, we stayed at this hotel for one night with eight people. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive to guests. Here, the guest is king, and the staff enjoys their work. On the day of departure, I had problems with my battery. The hotel owner immediately offered to drive me and my bike to the train station in Achim. Exceptional helpfulness of this kind is rare these days. We would love to return to this hotel whenever we're in the area.

Beautiful location, delicious food, I can only recommend it

The restaurant is disastrous. They serve only convenience food. Absolutely nothing is cooked in the kitchen. All dishes are ready-made, microwaved or boiled in a water bath. If you arrive at 6 p.m. and have to wait only 10 minutes for risotto or veal liver with mashed potatoes, it's clear that it's not freshly cooked. The asparagus risotto is more like rice pudding without the asparagus. If you want freshly cooked food, this is definitely the wrong place. The service is also poor. After a few failed attempts, we won't be coming back. If you're looking for quality, this is the wrong place.

Worst 4-star hotel we've ever stayed in. Attention: Booked for 3 days. Room on the second floor, no elevator, so lugging suitcases in old age. Mold in the shower. Toilet as low as a children's toilet. Air conditioning only a cheap fan in the room. Breakfast: Cold eggs and scrambled eggs. Sausage looked like it came from Aldi, and the yogurt in plastic cups was from Bauer. Service was very attentive. We had previously stayed in a 3-star hotel about 250km away, which was far inferior. We can't recommend the Hotel Bootshaus under any circumstances, just because of the location, and the price isn't exactly a bargain either.

Very nice hotel and a fantastic location. Located right on the banks of the Weser River, with a small dock. We were there and used the training rooms and the terrace for dinner. That was really delicious! I can't comment on the rooms.

The fish was extremely delicious, the service was very polite and attentive, and the open and professional recommendation was a definite plus. The ambiance is worth the view. It's worth coming here!

The hotel is beautifully designed, with well-kept outdoor areas that are easily accessible. The service overall was also friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, there were a few points that significantly spoiled the stay. What was particularly negative was that I was accused of smoking in the room, even though I never smoked there. Instead of a personal conversation, I was informed of this with an unfriendly note - I found that to be very inappropriate and unfair. The facilities in the room were also disappointing. The built-in shower was leaking - the door wouldn't close completely, so water leaked into the bathroom. The towels were not replaced during our stay, nor was the toilet paper replenished. The bed linen also looked very old and uninviting - it urgently needed to be replaced. At dinner, despite having made a reservation, we were initially told that we didn't know whether there was a table available because everything was supposedly fully booked - that was also an unpleasant experience for us as guests. Overall, a hotel with potential, but there is an urgent need for improvement in several areas.

Yesterday on May 3rd, 2025 we were out on the boat again. At around 1:00 p.m. we wanted to have some refreshment and stopped at the marina to have something to eat in the boathouse. With my grandson I took the right entrance and went into the restaurant area. There I asked if we could sit down; There are 5 of us plus a grandchild and we would just like to have a drink. The answer I got was; I'll talk to my colleague briefly. In the meantime, my grandson went to see where his dad was and went back towards the entrance. I went behind to see what he was doing. A man came towards me - shorts and a T-shirt with the word Watt… on it - he spoke to me in such a rude tone; he would have already told the others; that it was a closed society here today and maneuvered us out with a clear hand/arm movement. We've had really good experiences with the boathouse so far, but I haven't seen anything like it in a long time! No matter, we'll still come back; since a single grumpy head doesn't represent everyone; who really leave a nice and friendly impression there. Sometimes the sound plays the music and we went away and had something to drink at the Smokey Island in Dreyer Wieltsee and realized - Watt that in Achim doesn't have to be you 🍻

We stayed at this hotel for the second time for an overnight stay with our two dogs. Highly recommended. All employees very friendly. The breakfast was rich and tasty. You can cycle along the Weser directly from the hotel. We'll be back next year.

Been here for the second time on business and was impressed once again. The hotel is unique in the area and worth the money. Price-performance ratio is right from breakfast to room. Beautifully located hotel, lovely view of the small harbor and the Weser River, friendly service, and a good breakfast. I can't rate lunch and dinner as we were elsewhere. The restaurant and bar, however, made a good impression. However, we lose points for the room. It's more like a 3-star hotel; since it's relatively small, you have to move furniture to use the terrace. The shower cubicle is so small that you inevitably touch the large exposed faucet, whose lever extends far into the room, while showering, and thus regularly scald yourself.

Good hotel directly on the Weser, rooms with a magnificent view of the Weser and the marshland can be booked, also with a balcony. The rooms are very spacious, quiet and equipped with comfortable beds and seating. Free parking, very good breakfast.

Nice hotel, run with love. Great service and super nice staff! If you have any questions in advance, there is always someone friendly on the phone who is willing to clarify any questions. Bicycles can be stored in the basement and there is even room for cargo bikes. Great restaurant with a beautiful view of the harbor on the Weser. Food lovingly, but no particular highlight in terms of taste. Rooms very clean and tidy, but not very modern. All in all, a recommended place to stay!

Very nice hotel. Mega view from the balcony. The size of the room was good. The staff is super nice and always has a quick saying. Great breakfast buffet. In the evening the burger in the restaurant was sensational. The beds were too soft for me personally. The room was very noisy. And the hairdryer was very hot and barely blew, it almost burned your scalp.

I was only there for dinner as part of a company event and therefore can't say anything about the hotel or the rooms. The service was attentive, friendly and therefore very good. The food was also good, although the fish could have been a little glassier as it was slightly overcooked. The side dishes were good and the view of the harbor was very nice. All in all a really successful evening.

Stayed there for one night on the bike tour in summer 2024. Great view from the balcony (if you have booked one). Excellent breakfast, super nice reception and service. Bicycles can be locked in the basement. Unfortunately, an attached restaurant was closed in the evening on the day of my arrival. A meal there and the overall idyllic location and atmosphere would be a reason to come back. The room was okay, a bit outdated but completely in line with the price-performance ratio. Stopped there during a bike tour. After we enjoyed the drinks (Aperol Spritz is particularly recommended) we had the food. A taste explosion!!! I can't say it any other way. Well, the prices are on the higher side, but every euro was very well spent. The menu is rather small, but everyone will find something here. Vegetarians and vegans are also satisfied.

We were there for dinner with a small group, the waitresses were very nice and accommodating, and the portions were generous. Unfortunately the burger was still raw in the middle, the sauce for the liver was too spicy and (for me personally) there was no apple compote or must... The terrace with a view of the Weser is great 👍

You also have to travel privately sometimes ;-) There are enough parking spaces, the rooms and bathroom were clean and nicely decorated. I can't say anything about the internet because I was traveling privately at the weekend. Breakfast on the weekend was also great We had a lovely stay and the food in the evening was really good.

The atmosphere is great and the service was also very nice and friendly, which I really liked. However, the currywurst on offer has nothing to do with a currywurst. That was actually a disappointment for me. 2 bratwursts with an extremely questionable sauce is absolutely not a currywurst for me. Added to this are the amazing prices. Selling a small Fritz Cola for 4 euros is just outrageous.

My wife and I had the pleasure of visiting the hotel for a long weekend. We received a very friendly welcome from the hotel manager and were looked after in a very friendly manner throughout the weekend! From the boss personally to the service staff, we could tell that the guest is the priority here! WiFi, a bicycle cellar, including charging for e-bikes, and a parking space for your car are free of charge and are offered without asking! A very nice and friendly location with very nice staff - whether in the restaurant, at the bar or at breakfast. For vacationers, business travelers or simply to eat something delicious. I always enjoy coming back, especially in the evenings, despite being on a business trip, you feel like you're on vacation. And today I was surprised again with the great new rooms with a great view of the river. The only drawback is that the rooms - especially on the upper floors - can become uncomfortably warm in the summer months (no air conditioning available). The house and its staff definitely make up for this with friendliness and service. :)

The unfriendly most aggressive house of my life. Never go to this hotel with a dog, the owner is one Dog haters!!!!! My experience: I had this hotel for Booked 2 nights and wanted to stay with one Colleagues just have a nightcap in the room with the bar. We sat up a high couch made of plastic leather, mine small dog (6kg) lay sleeping peacefully on the same. Suddenly the owner came shot at me from 20 m away and shouted at the dog from his sofa to the floor or lap to sit. When I explained to him that the dog wasn't doing anything, he screamed he continues to look at me. I picked him up Lap. When the dog only has one leg on it We sat down on the plastic sofa and started again. The situation escalated to such an extent that he kicked me out of his hotel despite booking. I've traveled a lot around the world, this provincial hotel tops everything!

A very nice, fine restaurant with very nice and good service.

Hello, we just wanted to use the toilet briefly today (Ascension Day). Before we could even go into the lobby, we were intercepted outside by a very aggressive man who said, "What are you doing here?" We then said we wanted to ask if we could use the toilet. We were then approached in a very very very rude and aggressive tone. To which we also said that we could please communicate this in a nicer tone. The conversation then continued in a very aggressive tone. When I said we would even eat something, we were simply thrown out in a rude manner. We completely understand that the toilet may not be used, especially on this day. But the tone also plays a role here. Unfortunately, you don't make any guests that way.

We’ve enjoyed a great dinner and sumptuous asparagus soup plus asparagus with a good Schnitzel. Would totally recommend. Setting is cozy and the service meticulous. Thank you dear team!

We were in the hotel with 12 people. We were positively surprised by the room, bathroom, restaurant and, above all, its top staff.

We spontaneously stayed there for one night. It couldn't have been better... the staff is super friendly, accommodating, attentive, but not intrusive. The food was perfectly delicious and the breakfast left nothing to be desired. We will be back

Great hotel with super nice staff. We booked this hotel at short notice because we had the weekend free and wanted to enjoy the beautiful weather on our bikes. The reception was very friendly and accommodating. Very nice restaurant with bar which is open daily from 11 a.m. Great starting point for bike trips on the Weser cycle path, or simply through the countryside. Everything is signposted for cyclists everywhere.
