I was there twice within two weeks. I ate the same thing twice and it was delicious both times! But such service from a store like this is incomprehensible to me. On the second visit the same lady served me as on the first visit. During both visits they didn't even ask if everything was OK or even if it was tasty. When paying, no thanks were given for the tip, there was only a goodbye. On the second visit, the salad was also forgotten. I ordered a dish that cost €30, so you could definitely make more effort, but overall it's okay

The service was really nice and friendly, the location was very nice. However, as we know it differently, there were a few things that could have gone better: -our dog was welcome (plus point for that), but he didn't get any water. -There was no real separation between smokers and non-smokers outside, so we were constantly filled with smoke while we ate -the prices are quite high -The food was good, but we have eaten much better, especially for the price. The fries were very soft, the pizza only tasted like tomato sauce, no seasoning, no nothing. This is just our personal opinion Plus points are the friendliness and the location with a view

Had dinner there yesterday. And I have to say. Wow! We really liked it! The food was really very tasty. My wife and I both had fish dishes. Portions and taste were very good. Staff was very friendly despite being busy. Price was completely okay for the quality and portion. We'd love to come back. Please stay as you are!! =)

Very tasty lunch at a low price.

One of our meals was totally over salted and really inedible (pasta pan). We pointed this out to the service, the first waitress made a funny face and disappeared, after another ten minutes another waitress came and we also made them aware of it. She looked irritated and disappeared. Another 15 minutes later a service person came who was able to communicate with us. She even tried the food and agreed with us. But since almost 30 minutes had already passed after the food was brought, the child had already fallen into the well. It was too late for a “replacement”. It is absolutely understandable that these days people are relying on staff from abroad, but you should tell them to raise the alarm with any German-speaking service staff if something is wrong somewhere. The next time we visit Dahme, we will limit our visit to Vörn Diek to the cocktail stand. It's been great for years! 👍🏻

The atmosphere is lively, almost hectic, and is more reminiscent of a crowded train station than a comfortable place to dine. The food was very tasty. Unfortunately, when consumed in the restaurant, the “Kids Box” was also served in the unsightly cardboard box. You could certainly come up with a nicer and more environmentally friendly solution here. Unfortunately we weren't asked if we would like anything else to drink. The prices were okay.

Always full, even though there are a lot of seats. That speaks for you. The food is always good and it always goes very quickly there. Great staff.

I can thoroughly recommend the lunch menu. The offering is very varied and has something for every taste. The dishes were a visual and taste delight. We were really disappointed this year. The food is fresh and delicious, but we felt like we were a burden to the staff. Not once eye contact, not once a smile or a kind word. We were treated coldly and disinterestedly and felt very uncomfortable.

As locals, we are frequent guests and really appreciate the quality of the food on offer. However, we always notice that the staff at other restaurants in Dahme and the surrounding area are much friendlier and more polite towards their guests. This is certainly not always easy, especially at peak times, but for us a friendly smile is simply part of feeling good. There is still clearly room for improvement here.

Food was okay so far. Unfortunately there is no service here. Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio doesn't match here either. Drinks had been drunk, but the staff didn't really care. No smile, nothing.

Went for lunch on August 6th, 2024, which is available until 5:30 p.m. The food is cheap, tasty and sufficient, I'm talking about lunch. The staff is quick, nice, competent and very accommodating. A must if you are in Dahme

We have eaten at this restaurant several times over the last 11 years. “Vörn Diek” is always convincing.

Wir waren zu zweit dort und haben sofort einen Tisch bekommen. Bedienung war freundlich und bis das Essen kam dauerte auch nicht allzu lang. Beide Gerichte waren gut mit kleinen Abstrichen. Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist für die Lage sehr gut. Also wir würden wieder kommen.

When you entered the restaurant you immediately felt like a nuisance. It's a shame about the potential of the restaurant, but the service staff is not good at all. Takes very poor care of the guests and acts unprofessionally. The food itself tasted okay, but the main course was far too small and unfortunately also very dry. In my case it was roulade with boiled potatoes and red cabbage for lunch. When you drink, you don't ask how much volume you want if you order large. They simply give you a 0.7 liter for a whopping €8.50 and you're done. That was the first and last time there. Staff seemed very annoyed and overwhelmed. After we had finished eating, the plates were simply cleared away without asking whether anyone liked it.

Food very good, inexpensive, friendly service, with the best restaurant in Dahme on the promenade

One of the worst experiences in a long time. The food... terribly bad. Matjes soften and swim in the oil. Fried potatoes totally greasy and soggy. Balsamic vinegar everywhere, even fried anchovies. The “Mediterranean grilled vegetables” swim in an oily sauce. The water bottle for €8.50 was already opened at the next table and was returned. Staff barely understands German, very difficult communication. Complaints are not responded to. Absolutely not recommended. Bad food and bad service. The opened water bottle at least suggests fraudulent intentions. For me a clear “no” to this store.

My third update of the review. Unfortunately, the general price increase in the catering industry is no exception here either. However, if you look at the lunch menu, for example, and consider the still very good quality, this remains the first choice here in Dahme compared to the other restaurants. My recommendation is the pasta pan. However, I have to make one small point of criticism. A bottle of water for €8.50... That leaves four of us with just one.

Food, service and ambience were wonderful. Price/performance especially for the lunch dishes are more than fair. Please come by again when you get the chance.

As always, great food. However, after the food was served, we were treated with disrespect by the service. We would have liked to have had something to drink and treated ourselves to dessert. It's a shame, we paid and left our money somewhere else. It's probably better not to sit on the back terrace.

Went for lunch with four adults and what can I say, we were all very satisfied. The portions are completely sufficient and definitely worth the price. We had our own fish skewer, a cod fillet in an egg shell Beef roulade and a Jägerschnitzel and everything was very tasty.

Edit 06/24- today another visit after 6 months. Unfortunately the quality of both the service and the main courses has deteriorated. Fried plaice from the frozen food was watery and unseasoned. Service inattentive. A pity. Mostly positive. Starters tasted good. Main dishes taste ok. What struck us negatively was the salads served with the dish - they were carelessly thrown together. Little privacy, tables packed very tightly. Service could be more attentive, even if the place is full. Overall a solid impression.

The poor service employees. Far too few but very friendly except for one blonde lady. Is minimum wage paid? The macho boss? didn't seem friendly. After a quarter of an hour after the main course, we didn't ask whether it was tasty, whether we would like a dessert or an espresso or digestif. The cod tasted ok but was cooked through. No trace of glassy. The Holstein schnitzel was not particularly tender. But for tourist cuisine in Dahme it is one of the better restaurants. Limited recommendable

WE, MY HUSBAND AND I FIRST TIME WERE IN THIS RESTAURANT. IT WAS ACCORDING TO THE OCCASION. 35th HZT.

We have been coming here for a long time, the restaurant has always been a great address, but since the renovation, we really enjoy sitting here for longer. It's a shame that there are no cocktails at the moment. The food is always really great and we've had really excellent service over the last few days, the young man was very attentive, polite and accommodating, that's how being a guest is fun!!

The best restaurant within tens of km. We haven't experienced such a well-organized restaurant in years with such tasty food at fair prices. Hello, I always enjoy coming here. The food is really tasty, okay it's a bit expensive but you can ignore that on holiday. It would be nice if the service staff spoke at least a little German, but they were still very attentive and friendly. I'll definitely be back.

We recently had a spontaneous meal there at around 5 p.m. because the atmosphere invited us to linger. We got a seat without a reservation (2 people) and were very enthusiastic about the delicious food and the friendly staff

We spontaneously reserved a table yesterday, but unfortunately we were ignored for a while until we were shown to our table. The food was very tasty, however The friendliness of the service staff left a lot to be desired. No smile, no asking if everything is ok. Very unfortunate.

We made a reservation at short notice and got a nice seat by the window with a view of the promenade and the Baltic Sea. I found the ambience very appealing, there is an open kitchen where you can watch how the food is being prepared. The service was quick and friendly, we didn't have to wait long for the food. The food was very tasty and of high quality, I had the fish platter (see picture). The evening was rounded off with a delicious dessert. All in all a lovely and successful evening.

Four of us ate there and it was very good. Service is still okay considering the number of guests. Gladly again.

Seit einigen Jahren gehen wir dort im Urlaub jeweils einmal Mittagessen. Die Auswahl der Mittagskarte ist recht umfangreich; von Fleisch bis Fisch und auch vegetarisch. Das Essen schmeckt uns immer sehr gut und ist auch qualitativ in Ordnung. Das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis ist auch sehr gut. Der Preisanstieg pro Jahr ist mehr als angemessen! Gerne immer wieder.

The food had been very good. Tender salmon and great starter. The service itself was quite ok. What I think unfortunately didn't happen is that you sometimes ask if everything is okay or if you want to drink something else. Furthermore, we hadn't even finished the starter completely, so the main course came, which I don't think is that great. Otherwise you can recommend it if you are in Dahme. Advantage for dog owners Dogs are allowed.

This restaurant is one of a number of restaurants on the promenade. Always full and something going on. It is better to reserve on weekends and in high season. You can eat outside or inside. The food was very good and so was the view of the Baltic Sea.

Top service, delicious food, absolutely recommended! Corona requirements are being implemented very well! Unfortunately I have to change the review due to the service. We are there several times during every stay in Dahme. The food is great, but this year we had the feeling of not being welcome. The ladies in service seemed very annoyed, stressed and unfriendly. The negative mood was clearly noticeable. Only a very young MA and a young man were friendly and had a smile for the guests. What a shame!

I've been to Vörn Diek several times. The food is really okay so far (hence 2 points), but the service is incredibly bad. You feel like a disruptive factor from the first second. Not a single friendly word, snippy, sometimes aggressive and impudent answers. We were left sitting for 20 minutes until we ordered and then after another 20 minutes half of the drinks we ordered arrived. There is also an incredible tone among the team. The other guests sitting around us were also stunned. Of course you don't tip like that and now we will definitely avoid this restaurant.
