Very good restaurant with a great view of the Baltic Sea!!

The food was fine as always. There weren't enough staff, everything took a long time, even though there weren't many guests there. But this may be a conscious cost-cutting measure by the management, which the employees cannot do anything about. Unfortunately everything outside is pretty dirty and full of weeds. That's why we were only there once this year.

During the week I was at the home port in Dahme with my family. We looked at the menus from the various restaurants on the promenade online and consciously chose this one. Most restaurants offer little to no selection of vegetarian or vegan dishes. That's why we decided on the home port. Unfortunately we noticed that the restaurant is unfortunately at the end of the promenade. You walk very, very far, which is probably why not so many people ate there. About the food: There are three vegan/vegetarian dishes. I had the chili sin carne and found it incredibly tasty. The portion was sufficient and freshly prepared. The food was freshly prepared and very lovingly served. Price-performance ratio: A little more upscale but still totally fine for a restaurant right on the promenade. Unfortunately the service was very poor. The service staff was very nice but you had to wait forever until someone came to the place. It took so long that you went in to look for a card. After ordering, it also took a long time to prepare. When new people came outside, they had to wait a long time until someone came. Actually everyone had to go in once to register. This made everything drag on, which is a shame.

Update 05.2024: The milk bar is now a home base, but no longer a home for us. Everything has become somehow sterile and is reminiscent of a canteen. The food is boring and the service is subpar. Just nope! ‐‐-------------------------------- The new milk bar turned out great. I recommend the Elvisburger! Who came up with the idea of ​​putting peanut butter on the burger? 😁

Been there twice during our vacation, bad service twice. On the first visit we had to go in to order and on the second visit they didn't even want to serve us. We went again! Waiting time 15 minutes plus. It must be said that the home port was relatively unattended. Next time go somewhere else. It's a shame actually.

Just had a drink outside. It's not my thing anymore!...used to be "Milkbar"...those were the days 🤗

Addendum 2024: Unfortunately, I have to completely revise my great rating from last year. We were so looking forward to returning to our home port this holiday and were just as disappointed. The breakfast buffet can only keep up a little with last year's, but the worst thing I found was the dirty dishes, cups with coffee still stuck to the bottom and plates that weren't cleaned properly unfortunately don't look appetizing. The great games corner has also been relegated to a desolate back corner and no longer really invites you to play. The service was still good that morning. What can no longer be said a few days later when we wanted to have dinner here. The service walked past us ignorantly several times. When we were finally able to order our drinks, they were simply slammed on the table and everyone had to find their own drink. You just didn't want to drink it, one glass was already cracked and another glass was dirty again and you felt disgusted to drink from it. We tried to complain about this for a quarter of an hour and also to place our food order, but both service personnel completely ignored us. Once a chair was slammed against our table, but no one responded to us. Finally I brought the glasses back to the counter; by the way, the service there was bored standing around. We were offered a new drink, but I gratefully declined. I haven't experienced such bad service in a long time. It's a real shame after we were so enthusiastic about you last year, but we probably won't dock in our home port again. Rating from 2023: Very nice and tasty breakfast buffet. The service was also very friendly and accommodating. Even though we had to sit inside because of the weather, the large windows still made us feel like we were sitting outside, which was really nice here. The play area for the kids is also great🥰👏🏼 we’ll be happy to come back😊 Because we liked it so much yesterday, we tried the warm food today. And it was again very tasty. The cocktails are also highly recommended.

The first visit we had to go in and order ourselves. This Saturday, August 10th, 2024, we wanted to drink a latte macchiato. Unfortunately no one came to our table for 15 minutes. So we decided to get a latte macchiato from the delicious coffee mobile at the guest's house, which was excellent by the way. We will no longer visit the home port because unfortunately the service is poor. I would prefer to give 0 stars.

Waited 90 minutes for food. Completely forgotten and then the food came almost cold. When asked for the managing director, he was apparently not there. Koch didn't come either, which was appropriate. Food returned. Service overall poor. Some people ordered drinks themselves at the counter, as it was more important to leave the table. Not recommendable!!!

It would be nice if the tables were cleaned. When we visited, there were still crumbs from the day before on the dusty tables. You could also clean the floor with a broom. The salmon was okay, the pasta was covered in a sauce that wasn't a tomato sauce for me. You should also serve a spoon with the tagliatelle. And when I asked for an ashtray, I got a dirty one placed on the table...that was the icing on the cake. The service was nice and attentive, but it was our last visit.

We had a nice sit here on the promenade. Food was very tasty, service was friendly. Unfortunately, the wind quickly made the food cold.

An inviting restaurant directly on the promenade with a beautiful view of the beach and the Baltic Sea. The homemade iced tea is also a really nice idea and tastes really delicious. Unfortunately, the food here can't keep up. The bacon cheeseburger was still quite tasty, the fries were okay. The same cannot be said about the fish platter with fried potatoes. There were hardly any fried potatoes on the plate, the quality of the fish was only moderate and sometimes not even fully cooked.

Unfortunately, very long waiting times, the food is good but nothing that really blows you away, the service is nice but takes a long time to bring food or come to you.

The starters: bruschetta and garlic baguette were...well...not quite as tasty. However, the bruschetta plate was really full and could have been a main course. The garlic baguette consisted of 4 thick pieces of toasted baguettes and a kind of mayonnaise with a slight garlic flavor. The homemade lemonade was super delicious. The main course: fried fish and a currywurst were quite okay for the price (lunch plate), a bit dry, but definitely ok. The desserts: chocolate cakes, Belgian waffles and also the rice pudding were extremely tasty. The restaurant is nice, the window panes could be a little cleaner. The service was super friendly and very nice. So all in all, recommended.

The ambience is very nice, we sat outside with a direct sea view. The food delicious. The service staff was very attentive and very friendly. Short and sweet, recommended.

My wife ate the plaice and I ate the schnitzel with paprika, which was simply super good. 5 Stars Price performance also great. Portion super big. Will definitely come again.

You can take a look there. The burger only has 150g of beef. Additional meat only for a significant additional charge. Beautiful sea views on the pedestrian promenade.

Great location. Great view of the OSee. The waffles and also the cheesecake were great. It's just a shame that the chairs are put together at 5 p.m. and then there's a shift in the shaft. Would have liked to have sat there longer.

We were there and just wanted to have a coffee. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food. Regarding the service, the service can still be improved. What happened. We sat outside and waited for service. After about 15 minutes I went in and asked if I could order. Then a nice young woman came and took the order and left. We then got our coffee and ginger tea quite quickly. The coffee pot was placed on the table without a saucer, without sugar or milk, let alone a spoon. There was no spoon with the tea either. The table was still full of sugar from the previous person and it wasn't removed. I then went back in and organized a spoon. When it came to the bill, the same game went back in and asked for the bill. I'm assuming that the two service employees were new and had to find their way around first. To get the Rotiene. We will definitely come back there again. Let’s see how it goes then 😀

Best food in Dahme! Nice service!

The service was very nice, Long waiting time! The tomato soup was a porridge, but hot! The price/performance ratio is not right and does not invite you to repeat it 😬. A pity !

A table for 8 people at lunchtime. reserved in the evening. Everything is fine up to here. When we got there later, we started with the drink order, which we then placed after 30 minutes! At the same time we ordered the food. Waited forever again until the second round of drinks. Unfortunately we can't say anything about the food because after more than 90 minutes we still had nothing on the table...! We then stopped at this point and canceled the meal. It's a shame, but that won't work. And the statement that the restaurant was unexpectedly overrun is absolutely unacceptable. There were enough tables reserved so we knew early on how many guests would definitely be coming. Saving in the wrong place and it's not even peak season!

Ate a burger - the meatball was far too coarse and gristly - and as a burger fan I am easy to please. When it was still called Milchbar under the old owner, the burger was really great.. has decreased significantly since the change. Back then, we ate there at least once while on vacation. Now we prefer other restaurants and don't go there anymore.

Lunch and evening menus sound promising. We've been there several times and it always tasted good. The service was always great, friendly and accommodating. Great view of the beach.

Have been regulars at the Milchbar for 3 years. The restaurant is now called the home port. In today shortly after opening, no one in the restaurant except the waitress in her early 20s behind the bar. We sat down and took off our jackets... wait. After a few minutes we asked for tickets because the young lady didn't seem to want to come to us. She then comes to the table and slams the cards onto the table without saying a word. We then go and she smiles!? It's a shame, that's why we always went to eat there several times on vacation.

We like to go to the Heimathafen restaurant (formerly Milchbar). Sometimes just to drink a Ducksteiner, sometimes to enjoy the delicious food. We prefer to sit in front of the restaurant and look at the sea. Unfortunately this time the chairs and tables hadn't been put out yet. The restaurant is the reason why we love starting our motorhome season in Dahme.

We weren't put off by the exterior, which wasn't very inviting in winter, and we weren't disappointed 😀 The pineapple broccoli curry we ordered tasted excellent and was very plentiful. The service was also very good and the price was also completely reasonable. It's just a shame that so few guests seem to take advantage of the opportunity to enjoy a good meal here. The operators' commitment to open their restaurant even in winter - even if only on a daily basis - deserved more visitors. Especially since it is located in a central location on the Dahmer Promenade. We will come back in any case.

One of the few restaurants that will also be open in February 2024. As always, we enjoyed the food very much, and quality is also on offer here out of season. Price-performance ratio is right here. Unfortunately, this is not the case everywhere in Dahme.

Ein tolles Restaurant. Die Burger die wir gegessen haben waren lecker, die Knoblauch Pommes waren top. Hab zum ersten Mal solche Pommes gegessen und ich will nie wieder andere Pommes essen 😀 Was mir persönlich super gefallen hat, war die kleine Spiel Ecke für Kinder. Dort gibt es etwas Spielzeug, Buntstifte und Malbücher für Kidis. Unser 1,9 jähriger Sohnemann war total angetan davon und dadurch konnten wir in Ruhe essen. Sowas wünsche ich mir in jedem Restaurant. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

So eine Rezension schreibt man doch wirklich gern! :) Haben heute in der Milchbar „vor Ort steht Heimathafen als Name“ gegessen Und waren in allen Belangen vollsten‘s zufrieden! Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und geduldig, da es bei uns doch etwas dauerte bis bei den ausgefallenen Gerichten „Burgern“ das passende gefunden wurde. Ich habe den Burger „Schwiegervater“ gegessen und kann ihn wirklich weiterempfehlen! Zusätzlich haben die Knoblauch Pommes ebenfalls sehr gut geschmeckt! Habe ich so vorher noch nicht gegessen, und war wirklich positiv überrascht. Meine Freundin hatte den Burger Winterburger mit Veggie Patty und fand ihn ebenfalls sehr lecker! Wären wir noch einen Tag länger hier, würden wir morgen glatt nochmal dort essen gehen! Mega schöne Location an der Promenade mit Blick auf die Ostsee. Gemütliche Atmosphäre, liebevoll eingerichtet. Sehr freundliches Personal. Mit Abstand der leckerste Burger den wir je gegessen haben. Richtig gut!

Ein junges Team und frische Küche... so wirbt die Milchbar in der Speisekarte. Das Erlebnis im Restaurant bestätigt dann die eigenen Ansprüche in vollem Umfang. Alles wird frisch zubereitet, Sonderwünsche werden gerne erfüllt, alles ist lecker und schön angerichtet. Der Service hat immer ein Auge und Ohr für den Gast. Besser kann man Gastro nicht machen. Wir waren gerne gestern und heute bei euch zu Gast und kommen immer wieder. Der Ausblick tut sein übriges.

Mein Favorit in Dahme. Die Speisenauswahl ist top. Vom Schnitzel, Burger, Fisch bis Indisch. Die Bratkartoffeln sind sehr gut. Die Salatbeilage mit kleinen ausgefallenen Zutaten und super leckerem Dressing. Ich könnt soviel aufzählen. Jedes Gericht ist auf seine Art besonders. Dazu wie es serviert wird. Absolut ist das Auge mit. Die Einrichtung schlicht. Der Meerblick gratis. Ich mags, weil ich geh dort ja zum lecker Speisen hin und weil ich irgend eine Einrichtung sehen will. Komme gerne wieder. Hoffe, dass die Sturmflut nicht zu großen Schäden angerichtet hat.

Wir waren in Dahme im Urlaub und haben die Milchbar ausgewählt, da sie auch Vegane Speisen anbieten. Das Ambiente ist wirklich sehr schön, man hat einen tollen Blick auf den Strand und die Ostsee. Auf der Karte findet jeder etwas, vom Salat bis zum Burger. Es gibt auch eine tolle Getränkeauswahl. Das Essen ging schnell, dafür war es aber auch heiß. Aufgrund des nahenden Saisonabschlusses konnte nicht mehr alles angeboten werden, was aber ok ist. Wir kommen beim nächsten Mal gerne wieder

Fahren seit vielen Jahren nach Dahme und auch in die Milchbar. Die Toiletten unsauber, das Essen wird immer schlechter. Der Service ist demotiviert, richtig schade. Es war früher ein klasse Restaurant.

Leider nicht mehr zu empfehlen. Fahren viele Jahre nach Dahme. Service okay, viele Dinge der Karte nicht vor Ort. Essen leider absolut ohne Leidenschaft verarbeitet. Mit Gastfreundschaft und gutem Gastro-Service kann die Milchbar leider nicht mehr punkten.

Herrlicher Blick auf die Ostsee. Bedienung hat mehrfach gefragt, ob noch etwas fehlt, super Service. Leckeres Essen, sind mehrfach dort zum Essen.

Das es ist sehr lecker. Können wir gerne weiter empfehlen.

Essen mit Blick auf das Meer, super. Hatte Salat mit Putenbrust, mein Mann hatte Schweine Medaillons, das Fleisch war Beides nicht frisch gebraten, ich würde sagen Microwellen aufgewärmt, hat uns nicht geschmeckt. Wir haben da aber auch schon mal besser gegessen.

Wir waren in unserem Urlaub öfters hier lecker und angemessen preiswert essen. Besonders ist das Frühstück und der Mittagstisch zu empfehlen. Weiter so und alles Gute!

Wir waren dort brunchen und waren erst etwas geschockt weil es nur so ein kleines buffet war aber ich muss sagen „klein aber fein“ das was es an Auswahl gab war alles sehr lecker. Was gibt es schöneres als am direkt am Meer zu frühstücken.

Erst mal wurde mit Mittagstisch geworben, der ist aber am Tag zuvor abgelaufen. Dann war das Essen nicht gut, das Schnitzel viel zu trocken ,wahrscheinlich aus der Fritteuse? Der Oberhammer war die Toilette, so dreckig und versifft.Wir waren wohlgemerkt eine Stunde nach Eröffnung da, da kann noch nicht so viel Unsauberkeit angefallen sein!!!!!Ein klarer Fall für das Gewerbeaufsichtsamt.Vor 2-3 Jahren sehr gutes Essen,leider von Jahr zu Jahr schlechter geworden. Da waren wir das letzte Mal. Nicht zu empfehlen! Leider! Im Sommer 2022 angeblich renoviert worden! Die Frage ist wo?

Wir waren ein paar mal während unseres Urlaubs dort Essen. Das Essen schmeckt super, egal ob vegetarisch oder Burger mit Pommes. Die Wartezeit aufs Essen war gut und wir wurden freundlich vom Servicepersonal bedient. Das Ambiente direkt an der Strandpromenade ist wirklich gut.

Essen ist wahnsinnig gut! Service ultra freundlich. Haben immer was sehr leckeres bekommen. Vom Ziegenkäse Salat, curry bis zum Burger alles sehr zu empfehlen. Auch leckere Cocktails.

Sehr lecker gegessen, aufmerksamer Service. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder, wenn es uns nach Dahme verschlägt.

Auch in diesem Jahr waren wir 3x in der Milchbar zu Gast. Das Essen ist klasse, für jeden was dabei. Leider gibt es nur noch bis 17 Uhr Flammkuchen, das fand unsere Tochter blöd aber trotzdem hat sie was tolles zu essen gefunden. Die Mädels und Jungs ist sehr bemüht alle Wünsche zu erfüllen.

Ich frage mich, wer die negativen Bewertungen erstellt hat. Ernsthaft: Tolles Essen, wahnsinnig netter Service. Von meiner Frau und mir auf jeden Fall volle Punktzahl.

Essen und Service sind immer super, nur die Sauberkeit hat diesmal etwas gefehlt. Tote Wespen in der Fensterbank und die Toiletten waren nicht sehr gepflegt.
