Delicious food. The lamb loin was cooked to perfection. The calf's liver was tender and very well seasoned. Cozy and inviting atmosphere. Pleasantly quiet. I'd gladly come back again!

We were there three days in a row. The service, the food, and the atmosphere kept drawing us back. The friendly and attentive staff deserves special mention. The goat cheese appetizer is a 10/10! We'll be back.

A hotel restaurant that's well-frequented by the public. The veal liver Berliner style was very good, but the pan-fried fillets were unfortunately very burnt, but the pan-fried flavor was good. The open show kitchen means the cooking smells are noticeable throughout the restaurant. Overall, it was a good evening with good food.

A beautifully decorated restaurant where you immediately feel at home. The service is friendly and fast. The menu offers something for every taste. The food is well-seasoned and delicious. I had the Verlicker pan, but the steaks were unfortunately cooked a bit too thin. The person at the next table ordered a rump steak, which was cooked to perfection. Everything tasted great. It's best to make a reservation in advance. The restaurant is large, but it also sells out quickly.

Very good service in a pleasant atmosphere. The food was delicious. We had liver and schnitzel. We had to deduct one star for the salad. It was just canned corn, etc.

We were there on schnitzel day. People, stop it. Any chip shop can do better. Other than the schnitzels being large, there was nothing special about them. No flavor, no seasoning. The sauces were tasteless, some of them were ready-made products. The fries were lukewarm, the fried potatoes were also lukewarm, soggy, and flavorless. Even the salads were nothing special.

Saturday evening, 7 p.m. All the surrounding restaurants were fully booked. We hadn't made a reservation. And right in the middle of the action, there was a restaurant that wasn't very busy, which surprised us... But hey, we were hungry, and the restaurant was part of a hotel, so it had to be good... My husband ordered schnitzel with warm potato salad, and I ordered the pan-fried fish. The service was very pleasant, and the two non-alcoholic beers were brought quickly. The food arrived shortly after. Three fish fillets – cooked to perfection – but unfortunately only lukewarm. The limited amount of – very dark – fried potatoes should have been hotter. The schnitzel was wafer-thin, and the potato salad... It's a matter of taste. All in all, a shame.

Unfortunately, the food didn't impress us at all. We were there for the schnitzel buffet. They served us cardboard fries with frozen schnitzel and canned gravy. It tasted awful. The fried potatoes were fresh and delicious. The servers were super friendly and very accommodating.

First of all, I'd like to emphasize that the waiters really did a great job and tried very hard – that definitely wasn't the problem. Unfortunately, the overall experience was still very disappointing. Our main course arrived before the appetizers. After we sent them back, we had to wait a very long time for the appetizer. After the appetizer, we had to wait another long time for the main courses. We ordered the burger and the vegetarian noodles. We immediately sent the burger back because there was hair in the food – absolutely unacceptable. This had already put us off our appetite, but we decided to at least share the noodles. Unfortunately, they were completely cold and very bland. Even though the waiters really did their best, the overall experience was simply not worth it. Unfortunately, we won't be coming back.

Unfortunately, only 3 stars because the restaurant is unbearably hot and stuffy. We were here for the second time, and therefore, it was our last. Not a single window open, no fresh air. A no-go.

The daily recommendation offered on the island information board wasn't available. The map on the website didn't match the map on site.

We went there for dinner in the evening. The food was delicious, the schnitzels crispy and tasted great. The service was very friendly and made sure everyone got a table. The only friendly criticism regarding the staff is that some (as seen at the neighboring table) would have liked some instructions about the all-you-can-eat schnitzel evening. A reminder of this would have been good. We'd love to come back 🤗🙏

The food was very tasty, which is to be expected with such a small menu. The service was always friendly and seemed very pleasant from the outside, too. However, you had to wait at the entrance when you came in, which wasn't stated anywhere beforehand. But that's no big deal, no drama. The waitress kindly pointed this out to me for next time, and that was it. The atmosphere is lovely! Great!

The staff was friendly, but the food was rather mediocre. The plaice was too small for the price, and the fried potatoes were subpar (sloppy and probably kept warm somewhere for hours). The salmon fillet was okay. It's completely out of date that you're charged two euros for swapping one side dish for another.

Top-notch restaurant, absolutely deserving of five stars. The food was incredibly delicious, the service friendly and attentive. A quick check of the restrooms: clean and tastefully decorated, as was the entire restaurant. The ambiance was quiet, but also child-friendly. We visited twice during our stay on Langeoog and will definitely be back next year!

We reserved a table there on July 7, 2025 for two people and our Chihuahua, Leo. We ordered liver with mashed potatoes. Honestly, it was super delicious and superbly seasoned. The mashed potatoes were made from real potatoes, the liver I had was very tender, but my husband had a tiny tendon, which can happen. Nothing to complain about. The waiter was very friendly, the food came quickly, and so did the drinks. When we asked the waiter to take a photo of us because it was our golden wedding anniversary, he was immediately happy. Great! Then we were given a glass of Prosecco on the house to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary, which we were very happy about as a nice recognition. To finish off, we also had a nightcap on the house, two mini bottles for snacks. We booked another table on Tuesday, this time with our children. We're already looking forward to it.

So far, everything was fine. But there was a pungent, cheap smell in the air. Something between bathroom cleaner and air freshener. It made my stay unbearable. We left very quickly. I've never experienced anything like it before. It prevented me from enjoying the food and the stay. Maybe it's my nose.

We came for dinner with 9 people. First of all, we had to wait a long time for our drink orders to be accepted. The “delivery time” of all drinks still took a lot of time, although they were all only placed at one corner of the table so that they could be “handed on” - very strange! After about 45 minutes, our meal requests were actually noted down, which were then actually delivered after another very long time. The food was excellent! When we were in the middle of the main course, the service team started setting things up for breakfast the next morning, which made a lot of noise! My request to one of the waiters was rudely rejected with the comment: “You don’t need to come back.” My conclusion: food excellent, service and ambience miserable!

Unfortunately the quality has declined significantly; a few years ago it was significantly better. The burger we ordered was borderline tasty and below the level of a chip shop. A ready-made patty and the bacon was basically raw ham. The fries that came with it were okay. The bruschetta for 8.90 as a starter consisted of 3 small slices of baguette with tomatoes, oil etc. Unfortunately significantly overpriced for the quality offered. The service is ok. Other dishes may be better...Burgers cannot be recommended.

The food was delicious, the individual dishes were nicely decorated. However, we had to wait a long time and the dishes came at different times, so the first ones were already finished when the others started eating. Unfortunately, no one asked for a second drink. The toilets seemed clean. Unfortunately, some of the dishes on the menu were sold out. There were only a few vegetarian dishes to be found.

The menu at the front of the door is wrong; there are many dishes there that are not even offered. The burgers are far too big and the taste is not at all satisfactory. Almost disgusting. The prices are outrageously expensive for this food and in general. The ambience is nice.

Ich wollte um 18 Uhr einen Tisch reservieren. Da es selbst im Restaurant sehr dunkel war und noch keine Gäste anwesend waren, fragte ich höflich, ob das Restaurant schon geöffnet ist. Ich bekam eine sehr patzige Antwort, dass er nicht zum Spaß hier stehen würde. Danke, werde dieses Restaurant nicht mehr besuchen.

Delicious food! We particularly liked the waitress (Kruno), who had only been busy for 3 days. Of course he didn't know everything, but he made up for it with charm and kindness.

The first impression after entering: Looks inviting and cozy. The second impression: there is an unpleasant smell of drains coming from the open kitchen. The second disappointment, besides studying the menu, is that several dishes are marked as “sold out”. The argument with the waiter is nerve-wracking; Smiles constantly, but unfortunately doesn't understand German. After a while someone comes out of the kitchen and tells us that we have to change our order because there are errors in the menu and it is no longer offered. We left and had a nice and delicious evening a few meters away.

The food arrived after almost two hours. But not for the entire table, but bit by bit. The food was bland and unloving. There are good alternatives on Langeoog where service is a priority.

I was on Langoog last weekend and went to Verklicker for the first time. I was pleasantly surprised. The salmon fillet with lemon risotto is terrific! A 10 out of 10 from me! I'll be back.

Food and ambience are good. There is something on the menu for every taste. Unfortunately, you always have to have a “Plan B”. I've eaten there 5 times over the last few years. Each time, parts of the order were not possible and a new order had to be ordered. So if you eat there, you shouldn't get too excited about your meal. There's a good chance you'll have to order something else. Anyone who can live with that will receive good and friendly service.

We waited over 60 minutes for tasteless food. Staff tried hard but helpless. We had panfish and zander on (lemon) risotto.

We were able to enjoy a fantastic stay at the turn of the year in the Inselhotel and the associated restaurant Verklicker. Everything is just right there! The ambience was very inviting and created a feel-good atmosphere, the tables were lovingly decorated and the New Year's Eve buffet was excellent and simply unsurpassed. The service staff were very courteous and friendly. Thanks for the great time, we'll be happy to come back.

After a disappointment in the restaurant 100m up the street towards the water tower, we only arrived at the restaurant shortly before the kitchen closed. Good service, very good food and a nice, rustic atmosphere saved the evening. Thank you very much!!!

Ein gemütlicher Abend mit der Familie und insgesamt 15 Personen sollte es werden. Doch das Personal war mit solch einem großen Tisch total überfordert. Der Service war mehr damit beschäftigt sich selbst zu bespaßen. Es wurden mehr Getränke an die Küche serviert, als das Gäste bewirtet wurden. Das Essen war ganz ok, aber absolut nichts besonderes. Die üblichen Burger, die es überall gibt, Fleisch Gerichte, die man zuhause auch so hinbekommt und Fertig-Saucen aus der Packung. Für den Preis, war es dann leider nicht mehr so gut, wie vor ein paar Jahren. Auch Verständigungsprobleme mit dem Service kamen noch hinzu. Schade für dieses schöne Ambiente. Wir werden demnächst andere Alternativen auf Langeoog bevorzugen.

The restaurant impresses with an appealing, maritime-themed ambience that fits perfectly with the name and concept. The atmosphere invites you to enjoy the evening in a relaxed environment. The service is friendly and eager to welcome guests. Communication is always polite, although in some moments there are language challenges, but these are balanced out by the commitment of the team. We were particularly impressed by the fish soup as a starter - it tasted excellent and gave rise to high expectations of the buffet. Although the kitchen clearly tried to restock the food fresh and promptly, the buffet was often empty due to high demand. This left the impression that the kitchen's potential was not fully realized. In summary, the restaurant offers a harmonious atmosphere and promising culinary approaches. By optimizing the processes in the buffet area, the experience could be improved even further.

Terrific!! You can feel very comfortable here in a cozy atmosphere. A warm welcome, friendly and courteous service staff and excellent food. The price-performance ratio is very, very good considering that you are on Langeoog. We are thrilled and will definitely come back. Keep it up. It is also important to mention that four-legged friends are also very welcome.

It's a pretty chic, but still homely place. The staff is super friendly, they recognized us on the second visit and asked about the vacation and everything. The service was also very quick, we only waited a few minutes longer for the ice cream with hot raspberries. The food is very tasty and there is also a selection of dishes for vegetarians. Unfortunately, less so for vegans. The prices are okay. An absolute recommendation for me and my husband.

We were full of schnitzel in a larger group with a prior reservation. The chef responded very flexibly and accommodating to our request to also cater for a vegetarian. It was really good and I recommend it!

Hmmmm. So… firstly: the ambience is nice. Cozy and tidy and good location. But: 1. it pulled, and not too tight. That was uncomfortable. But we were allowed to move to the bar. It's a bit of a shame, I would have liked to move to a table in the corner. But understandable if everything is reserved. However, the barman was very, very nice! 2. the food was not good. I like to spend money on good food, but it's always a bit disappointing when you think afterwards "the sandwich at home would have been better". Shortcoming here: “Salad” resembled the inside of a kebab pocket. Coleslaw is not for everyone (for example, I hate it like the plague and it ruins the taste of every dish for me!) and should be mentioned on the menu. Then unfortunately there were pasta in the salad - that should also be mentioned, because (me again 😅) if you have a gluten intolerance, for example, then you have to put the food back or live with the consequences. Since my child was tired, I didn't want to provoke him into staying longer, otherwise I would have said something... all in all, the goat cheese in the bacon on the salad was delicious, but unfortunately the rest wasn't. My daughter's chicken nuggets were fish. Unfortunately I only tried it at the end, but then it was clear to me why she didn't like them 😅 When I carefully asked if they were fish, I was told they were chicken nuggets... (okay 🤣) Service was ok. As I said, the man behind the bar was super nice and attentive, the rest were rather stressed, sometimes rather uninformed and not particularly friendly (at least the boss or shift manager). It's a shame, there are much better restaurants on Langeoog...

Nice location with space between the tables and friendly, attentive but unobtrusive service. Waiting times of 90 minutes are too long. Hotel guests get their food faster. The food is ok, but not particularly good. Lamb and beans without any taste, ox cheeks only lukewarm and rather firm, but the sauces were tasty. Portion sizes are good. No recommendation.

Wir waren zum Mittagessen im Verklicker und hatten aus der Mittagskarte gegessen; Erbsensuppe, Scholle mit Bratkartoffeln und Beilagensalat und Bratkartfoffeln mit Geflügel, Rindersteak und Schwein. Alle Portionen waren mehr als groß und es war sehr lecker. Inkl Getränke lagen wir bei 55€, was ein hervorragendes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist. Wir kommen wieder! PS: uns hat auch die Atmosphäre und Einrichtung gut gefallen!

We waited 90 minutes for our burgers. Wouldn't be a problem if they tasted good. Cheese wasn't melted and the buns were cold. Service was very nice, unfortunately it doesn't help if it takes too long. As a starter we had bacon-wrapped goat cheese with honey. Sounds good, but the core was cold and the honey was not noticeable.

Unfortunately disappointed. Had made a reservation but had to wait over an hour for the food. In the meantime, hotel guests who came after us got their food before us. The portions were very small, the steak was unfortunately undercooked and the service was completely lethargic and almost non-existent.

I arrived at Langeook today and treated myself to the schnitzel buffet with a tip and drink unfortunately 33 euros but it was still Very tasty and great food 🥘

It was positive that we were able to make reservations at short notice even with three couples. The starter (matjestartar) was very tasty. Three out of six people had a starter, which was served quite promptly. However, we had to wait two hours for the main course. All guests who arrived after us were served before us. The "excuse" given was that some of us had a starter and that the kitchen always does it that way. Guests who arrived after us left the restaurant (including their food) before we received our food. The food itself was okay, but I didn't find the fried potatoes recommended. Blaming the late meal on the kitchen doesn't really reflect a functioning team. Too bad.

Der bei der Tischreservierung angegebene Hinweis auf eine Lebensmittelunverträglichkeit wurde ignoriert. Bei der Buchung wurde zugesichert, dass glutenfreies Essen angeboten wird; aber leider war es uns nicht möglich etwas zu bestellen. Das Personal war mit dem Wunsch nach einem glutenfreien Essen hoffnungslos überfordert. Auf wiederholte Nachfrage wurde darauf verwiesen, dass es nur Schnitzel vom Buffet gibt, und das Sonderwünsche nicht möglich seien. Eine Nachfrage in der Küche war nach Aussage des Personals nicht möglich.

Fisch Buffet war Qualitativ eine Unverschämtheit. 3 Fischsorten ,Loup de mer, Rotbarsch und Zander wurden angeboten . Das ganze nicht einmal lauwarm. Die Warmhalteplatten waren nicht in Funktion. Nach 45 Minuten wurden gewärmte Bratkartoffeln angeboten. Reis nicht warm sackte nach einer Stunde in sich zusammen. Alles in allem eine Frechheit.

Reserved by phone days in advance. Apparently no one registered it. Well, after a short wait at the counter we finally got a table. Friendly, attentive service. The food was, for the price, far too little, we had 2x fish platters and 1 pan. And 1x redfish. The fish or pieces of meat were maybe 3x4 cm. The taste is somewhat okay. But fried potatoes were almost certainly straight out of a bag and then fried. Even the great-sounding vegetables were nothing special. We woke up hungry. We were very disappointed by the price/performance ratio here. The best thing about the restaurant is the beautiful ambience.

Nice atmosphere, very good food and very attentive service. The restaurant manager ensured everything ran smoothly and had a smile for every guest. Unfortunately this is not standard and definitely deserves 5 stars.

I was in this restaurant on 3 evenings because I ate my half board meal from the Hotel "Achtert Diek" there. The staff was always super friendly, very, very nice and accommodating. The food I had, I was able to choose from 3 main courses, was simple and in short: awesome 😁 super tasty. After each course, there were always three courses, we were asked whether we could clear away and whether it was tasty. Super! A small note to the restaurant, you should think about whether you allow men in shorts to attend dinner? In my opinion, it doesn't have to be that way. Otherwise everything was great. Thanks for 3 great evenings!
