Excellent food with good value for money.

We were full of schnitzel in a larger group with a prior reservation. The chef responded very flexibly and accommodating to our request to also cater for a vegetarian. It was really good and I recommend it!

Excellent food, the steak was on point. Sea buckthorn creme brulé too. See you next year!

Hmmmm. So… firstly: the ambience is nice. Cozy and tidy and good location. But: 1. it pulled, and not too tight. That was uncomfortable. But we were allowed to move to the bar. It's a bit of a shame, I would have liked to move to a table in the corner. But understandable if everything is reserved. However, the barman was very, very nice! 2. the food was not good. I like to spend money on good food, but it's always a bit disappointing when you think afterwards "the sandwich at home would have been better". Shortcoming here: “Salad” resembled the inside of a kebab pocket. Coleslaw is not for everyone (for example, I hate it like the plague and it ruins the taste of every dish for me!) and should be mentioned on the menu. Then unfortunately there were pasta in the salad - that should also be mentioned, because (me again 😅) if you have a gluten intolerance, for example, then you have to put the food back or live with the consequences. Since my child was tired, I didn't want to provoke him into staying longer, otherwise I would have said something... all in all, the goat cheese in the bacon on the salad was delicious, but unfortunately the rest wasn't. My daughter's chicken nuggets were fish. Unfortunately I only tried it at the end, but then it was clear to me why she didn't like them 😅 When I carefully asked if they were fish, I was told they were chicken nuggets... (okay 🤣) Service was ok. As I said, the man behind the bar was super nice and attentive, the rest were rather stressed, sometimes rather uninformed and not particularly friendly (at least the boss or shift manager). It's a shame, there are much better restaurants on Langeoog...

Nice location with space between the tables and friendly, attentive but unobtrusive service. Waiting times of 90 minutes are too long. Hotel guests get their food faster. The food is ok, but not particularly good. Lamb and beans without any taste, ox cheeks only lukewarm and rather firm, but the sauces were tasty. Portion sizes are good. No recommendation.

Wir waren zum Mittagessen im Verklicker und hatten aus der Mittagskarte gegessen; Erbsensuppe, Scholle mit Bratkartoffeln und Beilagensalat und Bratkartfoffeln mit Geflügel, Rindersteak und Schwein. Alle Portionen waren mehr als groß und es war sehr lecker. Inkl Getränke lagen wir bei 55€, was ein hervorragendes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist. Wir kommen wieder! PS: uns hat auch die Atmosphäre und Einrichtung gut gefallen!

Ein Fischbuffet der Extraklasse in stilvollen Ambiente, netter und aufmerksamer Bedienung zu einem sehr gute Preis. Wir sagen Danke an das Team für ein endlich Mal wieder hervorragendes Essen.

We waited 90 minutes for our burgers. Wouldn't be a problem if they tasted good. Cheese wasn't melted and the buns were cold. Service was very nice, unfortunately it doesn't help if it takes too long. As a starter we had bacon-wrapped goat cheese with honey. Sounds good, but the core was cold and the honey was not noticeable.

Unfortunately disappointed. Had made a reservation but had to wait over an hour for the food. In the meantime, hotel guests who came after us got their food before us. The portions were very small, the steak was unfortunately undercooked and the service was completely lethargic and almost non-existent.

I arrived at Langeook today and treated myself to the schnitzel buffet with a tip and drink unfortunately 33 euros but it was still Very tasty and great food 🥘

It was positive that we were able to make reservations at short notice even with three couples. The starter (matjestartar) was very tasty. Three out of six people had a starter, which was served quite promptly. However, we had to wait two hours for the main course. All guests who arrived after us were served before us. The "excuse" given was that some of us had a starter and that the kitchen always does it that way. Guests who arrived after us left the restaurant (including their food) before we received our food. The food itself was okay, but I didn't find the fried potatoes recommended. Blaming the late meal on the kitchen doesn't really reflect a functioning team. Too bad.

Der bei der Tischreservierung angegebene Hinweis auf eine Lebensmittelunverträglichkeit wurde ignoriert. Bei der Buchung wurde zugesichert, dass glutenfreies Essen angeboten wird; aber leider war es uns nicht möglich etwas zu bestellen. Das Personal war mit dem Wunsch nach einem glutenfreien Essen hoffnungslos überfordert. Auf wiederholte Nachfrage wurde darauf verwiesen, dass es nur Schnitzel vom Buffet gibt, und das Sonderwünsche nicht möglich seien. Eine Nachfrage in der Küche war nach Aussage des Personals nicht möglich.

Fisch Buffet war Qualitativ eine Unverschämtheit. 3 Fischsorten ,Loup de mer, Rotbarsch und Zander wurden angeboten . Das ganze nicht einmal lauwarm. Die Warmhalteplatten waren nicht in Funktion. Nach 45 Minuten wurden gewärmte Bratkartoffeln angeboten. Reis nicht warm sackte nach einer Stunde in sich zusammen. Alles in allem eine Frechheit.

Reserved by phone days in advance. Apparently no one registered it. Well, after a short wait at the counter we finally got a table. Friendly, attentive service. The food was, for the price, far too little, we had 2x fish platters and 1 pan. And 1x redfish. The fish or pieces of meat were maybe 3x4 cm. The taste is somewhat okay. But fried potatoes were almost certainly straight out of a bag and then fried. Even the great-sounding vegetables were nothing special. We woke up hungry. We were very disappointed by the price/performance ratio here. The best thing about the restaurant is the beautiful ambience.

Nice atmosphere, very good food and very attentive service. The restaurant manager ensured everything ran smoothly and had a smile for every guest. Unfortunately this is not standard and definitely deserves 5 stars.

I was in this restaurant on 3 evenings because I ate my half board meal from the Hotel "Achtert Diek" there. The staff was always super friendly, very, very nice and accommodating. The food I had, I was able to choose from 3 main courses, was simple and in short: awesome 😁 super tasty. After each course, there were always three courses, we were asked whether we could clear away and whether it was tasty. Super! A small note to the restaurant, you should think about whether you allow men in shorts to attend dinner? In my opinion, it doesn't have to be that way. Otherwise everything was great. Thanks for 3 great evenings!

A really nice restaurant with nice service, but they brought the wrong food. The rack of lamb was a bit dry and the beans were from the freezer (at a time when... Germany beans are harvested) and not only did they not taste like beans, but they had an unpleasant aftertaste. Overall, a completely overpriced disappointment.

I give it a good 4 stars! We had the menu and at the pre.-or. There's still room for improvement when it comes to dessert. The main course was very good, as was the service and ambience.

The drinks were delicious and the service was friendly. Unfortunately our food was really subpar. The salad bowls we ordered were not fresh at all and had little to do with what was on the menu... corn, jalapeños, pepperoni and farmer's lettuce - all from a can. A few lettuce leaves from the bag, floury tomatoes and dry cucumber...We had to ask specifically for the pine nuts and then they were untoasted and, like the rest, tasteless...

We got a seat without a reservation and had a delicious meal.

Food in terms of quantity and quality, well. If anything, the portion just fills you up. It's far too expensive for that. We paid €100 for 3 people with a meal and just 1 drink. The taste wasn't that great either. Rump steak was okay, fried potatoes were very bland, mushroom ragout had a strange aftertaste. The service seemed disorganized and not very proactive. You had to actively draw attention to yourself.

Unfortunately it was an unpleasant evening... Drinks came wrong and we had to wait 45 minutes for our food. When we asked, the waiter made a really bad joke that we would have to wait again. Unfortunately, this didn't come across as a joke to us at all. When spoken to, they didn't even apologize. The wrong side dish was then delivered with the meal because the one we wanted was supposedly out of stock - here too there was no prior notice. The food was otherwise good, but the amount of fried potatoes was a joke. Only the two assistant waiters were attentive and friendly. A pity!

The service had a very unfriendly and subtly aggressive tone. Brought two wrong drinks out of six orders. After 45 minutes I politely asked how long it would take. Answer, half an hour...should be a joke. Impossible handling, small portions, expensive prices. There is no recommendation from me!

I tried to eat liver several times, but either it was out despite calling beforehand or there was no more mashed potatoes, which is really unfortunate and the ambience can no longer make up for the disorganized impression

The feel-good ambience through the room and lighting design was felt immediately upon entering. The menu was varied and meaningful, so we ordered a starter, main course and dessert (warm goat cheese with salad // vegetarian pasta and burgers // sea buckthorn crème brûlée with ice cream and warm chocolate cake with ice cream). Leider war unser Essen (Panfisch) nur lauwarm bzw. kalt. Nach Reklamation kam das Essen wieder nur lauwarm zurück. Der Tischkellner traute sich nicht mehr zu an den Tisch und schickte seinen Kollegen. Wir sind das erste Mal ohne Trinkgeld zu geben gegangen. Einmal und nie wieder!!!

As already mentioned in a previous review, despite some obviously unoccupied tables, we didn't have a chance to spontaneously get something to eat there. We then reserved a table for the next evening because of the nice atmosphere and the menu that sounded promising. After we were there, when we were handed over the menu, we were initially told 5 dishes that were "unfortunately out"... We then ordered 2x burgers, 1x plaice and 1x "Verklicker salad". “Stealth fries” were served with the burgers, whose outstanding feature (according to internet research) is that they stay hot and crispy for a particularly long time. Unfortunately, the Fries were unable to keep this promise in any way... However, the burgers were delicious. Some of the fried potatoes with the plaice were not completely cooked through. Instead of the "clicker salad", a "clicker pan" was initially delivered, which of course was then returned... The salad that was then served - and obviously hastily "put together" - consisted of a few lettuces thrown together, 3 cocktail tomatoes, a few pieces of pepper , 4 wedges of watermelon and a touch of dressing. The accompanying bread was only delivered after reminder when the salad was almost eaten. Likewise, the fish knife for the plaice was only passed over the room divider next to the table by one of the service staff some time after the food had been served and consumption had begun, with the words “that might help”. All in all, definitely the most disappointing dining experience we've had on the island so far, which is a shame because the ambience is good and with more enthusiasm from the service and cuisine it could really be a great place.

First my wife ordered sea bass and after a while the waitress came and said there wasn't any There are sea bass. Then ordered cod. IF you book a table in time, you can come in and get good food. We wanted to eat there today and were repeatedly turned away because we didn't reserve early. In the high season when the house is full you will understand this. The restaurant was max. 25% full today and they couldn't offer us a table because we didn't make a reservation. We first had to wait several minutes to make this decision, as the servant apparently had to ask about this in the kitchen. Apparently spontaneous guests are absolutely not welcome there, as this has happened to us for the second time. Absolutely unusual for the otherwise perfect service everywhere on the island!!!

Starter: Bread with various dips. The bread was old and sometimes very hard. Dips were ok. Main course: Verklicker pan. The food was lukewarm. Meat dry and partially streaked with fat. I would classify the quality in the direction of discounter shaped meat. The vegetables were the typical frozen vegetable pan. Definitely nothing fresh. Unfortunately, the cook added his own touch (if not pre-seasoned) and drowned the frozen vegetables in garlic. The service was very friendly and the atmosphere was appealing. Unfortunately, we were more amazed when it came to the food! We were there for the food and unfortunately the place failed completely. It's a shame actually, as the store is very attractively decorated and the staff is friendly. It's also a shame that this quality is sold for quite official prices - it's definitely not worth the money!

Die Qualität hat deutlich nachgelassen bei extrem gestiegenen Preisen. Verklickerpfanne mit viel Füllmasse, mittlerweile 33€ …war sie nicht wert. Doppelschollenfilets - irreführend, da es sich um zwei Mini Stücke Filet gehandelt hat, 30€! Bemühte Kellner… wir haben Verklicker jetzt von unserer Liste bei unseren Langeoog Besuchen gestrichen, Sehr schade , war früher wirklich gut.

The restaurant is comfortably furnished and is clean (including the toilet) The service is very friendly, we only had to pay attention at the end. The food was really tasty. The food on the other tables also looked good. I found it a bit strange that there was no bread with the soup. In my opinion, it belongs in every soup. But maybe that's just the way it is here. Unthinkable in southern Germany. We were able to shell out €4.40 for a few slices of baguette bread. There was practically no vegan food. Only two or three vegetarian dishes. It is no longer appropriate to virtually exclude over 10% of the population from Essen. Conclusion: a great restaurant and I will definitely come back. Unfortunately not suitable for people who prefer to live vegan lives, hence the deduction.

Zu Zeit ist die Insel wenig besucht, wenn man es dann nicht schafft zwei Personen ohne Reservierung zu bedienen muss man leider sagen, lasst es sein.

We had breakfast there and stayed overnight at the Inselhotel Langeoog. The breakfast was very good, almost everything was perfect in a cozy atmosphere with very nice staff. I would have liked a fresh fruit salad. The fruit was grapes, which weren't that great anymore. We ate there in the evening and it was very tasty.

The food was very tasty . For the service a three plus, but you also have to remember that the season is coming to an end and the service staff are also at their limit!

Meine Frau und ich haben im Verklicker zu Abend gegessen. Wir beide hatten Brot mit verschiedenen Dips und je einen Burger gegessen. Während das Brot und die Dips sehr lecker waren, haben uns die Burger mit Pommes nicht überzeugt. Die Burger und Pommes waren ok, aber mehr auch nicht. Das Personal war sehr nett und der Service sehr gut.

Die Erfahrung, die wir in diesem Restaurant dieses Jahr gemacht haben, ist sehr traurig. Wir hatten für 20 Uhr einen Tisch für 4 Personen reserviert. Im "Verklicker" zu essen gehört für uns als Familie zu jedem Langeoog-Urlaub dazu. Hier mal eine Chronologie des Abends : -Um 20.00 fand die "Servicekraft" unsere Reservierung nicht. Meine Nachfrage, ob denn trotzdem noch einTisch frei sei, wurde verneint, obwohl max 1/3 belegt war. Erst auf Anfrage bei der Vorgesetzten wurde uns ein Tisch zugewiesen. -Um 20.30 bekommen wir die Karte(n).Mittlerweile haben Gäste , die zur gleichen Zeit kamen, das Lokal verlassen, da diese komplett ignoriert wurden. -Um 20.50 Die Bestellung wird mit sprachlichen Schwierigkeiten aufgenommen. -Um 21.00 erhalten wir die Information, dass eine Speise aus ist. Wir bestellen eine Neue. -Um 21.15 fragt die Vorgesetzte nach, ob alles Okay ist, da noch kein Essen da ist. Um 21.25 wird uns mitgeteilt, dass die Bestellung wohl die Küche nicht erreicht hat, und diese jetzt geschlossen hat. Die Getränke gehen aufs Haus und wir sind raus !! Liebes Verklicker-Team ich bin eher ein sehr freundlicher und verständnisvoller Gast, aber was ich heute bei Euch erlebt habe war "einmalig" Eine enttäuschte Familie !

Wieder einmal hervorragend gegessen, der Service äußerst zuvorkommend und kinderfreundlich, die Räumlichkeiten und das Ambiente haben wir auf der Insel vielerorts nicht besser erlebt, die negativen Rezessionen können wir uns nicht erklären! Sind jedes Jahr im Urlaub im Verklicker und sind nie enttäuscht worden!

Schönes Ambiente, doch überschaubare Speisen, die leider nicht wie hausgemacht schmecken...Wir sind nicht hochgestochen, doch der Geschmack ist leider Standard! 2,5 Sterne

Das Essen ist jedes mal sehr gut. Der Service immer aufmerksam und sehr nett. Das Ambiente ist sehr angenehm und die Musik in der richtigen Lautstärke. Wir fühlen uns bei jedem Besuch sehr wohl. 👍🤗💙

Zur Qualität des Essens kann ich nichts sagen denn.... 2 Tage vorher 18.00 Uhr 2 Personen reserviert / pünktlich erschienen / Kleintische neben Eingang zugewiesen bekommen, freie Auswahl / 18.10 Getränke und in der Pfanne gebratene Scholle und Wolfsbarsch bestellt / 18.20 Fisch ist aus, Alternative Fleisch oder anderes. 18.25 bezahlt und gegangen, kein neuer Versuch.

Wir haben Schollen bestellt und diese waren fabelhaft und sehr schmackhaft. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Das Ambiente hat uns sehr gefallen und wir hatten einen tollen Abend.

Zweimal Scholle war zweimal eine Katastrophe, einmal Natur und einmal mit Krabben. Beides war ungenießbar. Die merkwürdig panierte und verbrannte Scholle schmeckte nach Thymian, war sehr fettig und hatte eine komische Konsistenz und Farbe. Wir haben beide Gerichte zurückgegeben, da die Scholle zu allem Überfluss auch noch die matschigen, mit Thymian dekorierten Bratkartoffeln komplett bedeckte. Nachdem wir reklamiert hatten wurde uns als Entschädigung ein Getränk angeboten. Lächerlich!

Leider nur in Ordnung. Die Karte und die Gerichte klingen wesentlich besser, als dass es am Ende ist. Der Ziegenkäse im Salat war leider noch kalt, das Gemüse der Hauptspeise sehr ölig und das Gericht einfach ohne das gewisse Extra. Die Bratkartoffeln waren viel zu dunkel. Ambiente aber schön und das Personal sehr freundlich, dennoch würden wir aber nicht nochmal kommen.

We eyes to go there without a reservation at 7pm but it wasn’t possible for us to get a table. So the friendly staff member told us we could come back at 8:30pm and as we did we immediately got a nice table at the window. We all hand fish and different drinks. The food was hot, well made and a good amount of fish and vegetables. I kinda wish the potatoes had a little more flavor but I still recommend this restaurant!

Sensationelles essen. Traumhaft lecker zubereitet. Zwar etwas kostspielig aber allemal wert.

Wir waren wie fast jedes Jahr zu Karneval hier. Verklicker hatten wir für den ersten Abend schon vorher reserviert. Schön ruhig, gemütlich, freundlich, Bier, Wein und Pfannengerichte reichlich und lecker. Die bestellte Brotvariation wurde vergessen. Verkraftbar! Zweiter Abend: Bei Ankunft um 19:30 alles belegt. Wir hatten reserviert, mussten etwas warten. Dann um 20:00 bestellten wir und sahen zu wie ein Gästepaar nach dem anderen wieder weggeschickt wurde obwohl das Lokal leerer und leerer wurde… Das Lammfilet war gut. Das Rumpsteak leider echt zäh. Der vorab bestellte Brotkorb wurde wieder vergessen… Nach der Zufriedenheit gefragt antworteten wir wahrheitsgemäß aber ohne Reaktion. … An Ende waren wir um 21:00 die letzten Gäste. (offiziell bis 22:00 geöffnet) Sah so aus, als wollte man früher Schluss machen und nahm deshalb keine neuen Gäste mehr auf. Resümee: Gutes und freundliches Lokal. Leider oberflächliches Personal. Wie man hier sonst auch lesen kann, eine „geheimnisvolle“ Reservierungspolitik.

Zweifelhafte Tischvergabe? Obwohl zahlreiche Tische unbesetzt waren wurden man mit einer Ablehnung abgespeist. Die Gastronomie kann sich glücklich schätzen, das viele sich das immer der Landschaft wegen antun.

TOP! Eigentlich waren wir auf dem Weg in ein anderes Restaurant, aber dieses hier hat so einen einladenen Eindruck gemacht, das wir uns umentschieden haben und hier hin gegangen sind. Früh am Abend haben wir einen guten Tisch am Fenster bekommen. Der Service war freundlich und zügig, auch die Weinempfehlung kam gut an! Das Essen kam schnell und war richtig gut. Schlussfrage Heißgetränk und Dessert kam auch und beides haben wir bestellt. Rundum definitiv zu empfehlen! Es hat uns sehr gefallen und wenn wir Langeoog noch mal besuchen, kommen wir wieder!

Super! Die Burger schmecken sehr gut , vor allem der Veggie Burger ist sehr empfehlenswert. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und man sitzt gemütlich in angenehmer Atmosphäre.Die Desserts sind überdurchschnittlich lecker .

Excellent! I had the entrecot, my husband had the pan fish, and mother in law the salmon. We all loved our dish. Quiet atmosphere, overall a very nice experience. Would definitely recommend.

Das Essen war in Ordnung, preisteschnisch für die Qualität und dafür, dass so gut wie alles nicht vorhanden oder nicht vorrätig war, nicht angebracht. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam und unser Hund war auch willkommen, was wir toll fanden.

Haben 2 Mal hier sehr gut gegessen. Beim 1. Mal Caprese vorweg. Mega mit selbstgemachtem Pesto, sehr leckerem Honig-Senf-Dressing am Salat und noch leckerem selbst gemachten Kürbiskernbrot. Zum Hauptgang 2 Mal mega Fisch (Scholle und Pannfisch). Beim 2. Besuch 2 Mal Kabeljau mit Spinat und Kartoffelpüree. SAULECKER! Jederzeit wieder!

Super leckeres Essen und eine ganz tolle Bedienung. Sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Kommen gerne wieder:)

Sehr freundlicher und schneller Service, das Essen schmeckt gut und man sitzt recht schön. Eine Reservierung ist unbedingt zu empfehlen, da es sonst schwierig werden kann, einen Platz zu finden. Mit der Bewertung "sehr gut" ist tatsächlich sehr gut gemeint und keinesfalls eine Abwertung verbunden.

Die Atmosphäre des Restaurants ist einladend. Daher ging ich rein und man war schon genervt, dass ich nach einem Tisch fragte und nicht reserviert hatte. Dabei konnte ich sehen, dass viele Tische frei waren. Nach eingehender Diskussion bekamen mein Mann und ich dann doch einen schönen Fensterplatz. Und das war auch das einzige was schön war. Bin vegetarisch unterwegs. Mein Mann nicht. Wir waren beide nicht sehr begeistert, was das Essen anbetraf. Habe den Verklicker nie wieder besucht und werde es auch nicht mehr. Solche Restaurants braucht Langeoog nicht. Nein Danke.

Wir haben die Kokoscurrysuppe, die Scholle mit Schrimps, den VIP-Teller und den Panfisch gegessen. Alle Gerichte waren perfekt zubereitet und toll garniert. Uns allen hat es sehr gut geschmeckt. Auch das Ambiente, Tisch am Fenster, war perfekt. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

it is more on the pricey side. as someone who prefers to eat vegetarian food, there were not many options. I ordered a pasta dish with pesto. sadly the topping was the only good thing about the dish, in my opinion, it tasted terrible and I had to stop eating because I was worried I would vomit. thanks to my aunt I could eat some vegetables from her dish but still if I think about all the food I have eaten in restaurants I must say it was the worst tasting dish I have ever tried. it still got 2 Points because the food of my aunt tasted good.

Frühstücksbuffet absolut in Ordnung, aber der Service hat leider sehr nachgelassen (abgesehen von einèm Mitarbeiter, der gefühlt versucht hat alles alleine zu wuppen.) Ein anderer Mitarbeiter mit Cape (was für mich im Service persönlich fraglich ist) hatte anscheinend Besuch (?) von seiner Frau/Freundin, die mit aushalf und Kind. Die Frau meinte, sie arbeite hier eigentlich nicht, aber hilft ein bisschen mit. Ein Hund, der zu Frau und Kind gehörte lag auf dem Weg zum Buffet im Weg. Der Mitarbeiter mit Cape machte auf uns den Eindruck,als sei er Vorgesetzer oder verantwortlich für das Restaurant!? Schade, daß haben wie die letzten Jahre anders erlebt. Gerne kommen wir wieder und lassen uns wieder von Positivem begeistern.

Sehr gut gegessen. Personal war sehr aufmerksam und flink. Alles junge Leute mit top Einstellung. Essen kam flott, sehr hübsch angerichtet, was zB bei Kalbsleber eher schwierig ist. Lustige Kinderkarte. Schön auch, dass es mal kleinere Gerichte gab und auch vegetarisch. Restaurant selbst ist etwas dunkel, aber gemütlich

Wir waren dort 2 mal Essen und sehr zufrieden. Das Personal, die Umgebung, die Sauberkeit das Essen, einfach toll. Die Qualität der Gerichte war sehr gut. Fisch sehr lecker und sehr gut zubereitet. Das Risotto ebenso , einfach lecker. Und Nachtisch kann der Koch auch. Preislich absolut ok. Jederzeit wieder
