Food was good. Friendly and attentive staff

Had breakfast there and chose something from the menu. Good quality at a fair price. A misunderstanding when ordering was immediately resolved. The place is very nicely decorated and the service is great. Will eat there in the evening too!

Had fish curry and grilled plate. There was no salad or vegetables on the grill plate, the price/performance was not appropriate, the fish curry was reminiscent of the curry sauce that was often served in the 70s and tasted very much like pineapple. So the food was a bit out of date and the portions were a bit small. Drinks could not be reordered, no questions were asked. We wouldn't go there again. The service was friendly.

Great breakfast buffet that leaves nothing to be desired.

The service was simply great, it started before we even entered the restaurant. We were served promptly even without a reservation. However, the food exceeded all expectations, it was simply delicious, the portions were appropriate and the timing until it was on the table was perfect. A big thank you to the entire service, you are doing a fantastic job!!! We'll be back 👍👍👍

We had a really delicious dinner there this evening. Everyone present, including the children and grandma, enjoyed it very much. Freshly prepared and everything prepared with a lot of love. Super nice and attentive staff 👍 our daughter was asked after her order if she would rather have spaghetti than penne 😉 Definitely worth a visit.

I can only give it 5 stars, the service was very nice and professional, the food came in about 10 minutes! after ordering to the table, for 10 people. Island record - respect to the kitchen. The dishes were tasty and the quantity was absolutely sufficient. Everyone was very satisfied. If you're looking for quantity instead of class, you're in the wrong place here, especially since the prices are slightly high. Would come back and can recommend the old post office without reservation.

The grill plate is loveless, meat is far too dry, no salad, no vegetables, a bit of paprika cream, two/three hot peppers, the price is disproportionate. The employees were inattentive and they only asked if they wanted any more drinks when they were clearing away. It's done for us! Not again!

For years we have been coming to the “Alte Post” regularly to eat during our Langeoog vacation. The service is great, the staff is super friendly and accommodating, the food is delicious. Everything is just right here. And there is always a place for our dog too, which is why we keep coming back!

Went here for lunch with the family. Everyone was very happy with both the service and the food! Everything was coordinated perfectly and everyone had their food at the same time - excellent! Also worth noting is the clean and tidy toilet! Highly recommended!👍🏻

My husband and I ate here for the first time and I have to say it was great. Very nice staff, great food, everything fresh, portions completely sufficient, chic atmosphere. We'd love to come back again.

Enjoyed dinner here on 2 out of 3 days in Langeoog. And it was really a pleasure. Very good quality, fresh and tasty food. Great service and a nice ambience. And the creme brulee is a poem! Definitely not the last time we were guests here...

Freundliches Personal, leckeres Essen. Gut gefülltes Cordon Bleu mit würzigem Käse und dicker Scheibe Schinken, knusprige Bratkartoffeln mit viel Speck und Zwiebeln. Helle und moderne Inneneinrichtung. Preislich nicht so teuer, wie manch anderes Restaurant auf der Insel.

Absolute top address! We were there with my parents, my sister and our daughter. The first thing you notice is a very cozy atmosphere that invites you to linger. The service is one of the best I've had the pleasure of experiencing: super attentive (empty drinks were immediately noticed, I asked repeatedly if everything was OK) and was immediately available for a short, friendly conversation. Sensitivity with our daughter who felt very comfortable. Drinks were picked up quickly and the food was picked up quickly and delivered to the table. We had everything from the grill, schnitzel, fish curry and pasta for the little one. Everything was well prepared, very nicely presented. Everything tasted absolutely great - great quality and everything was hot and delicious! Thank you for the lovely evening.

Bei beiden Besuchen während unseres Urlaubs wurden wir in der alten Post sehr gut bewirtet. Sowohl die Speisenauswahl als auch die Qualität des Essens und der Service ließen keine Wünsche offen. Klare Empfehlung!

A bit too expensive for what is offered. 4 prawns with spaghetti in oil for just under 24

The food is mediocre for the high price and rather small portions. Spaghetti with shrimps for €23.90 and there were only four shrimps in it.

Nice restaurant. We had dinner here. The service was super nice. Extra requests were taken into account. The food was delicious, I would have liked a little more seasoning and it could have been a little hotter when served. Overall we had a lovely evening here.

I don't know when was the last time we were in a restaurant where we experienced such attentive, warm and great service without exception. Sensational! We also had a very tasty meal at a very fair price. The terrace is very nice, but inside it is rather noisy, a bit like being in a hall. Overall, absolutely recommended!

I felt very comfortable and am happy to give it 5 stars. The ambience and service is very pleasant. I can definitely recommend it for coffee or lunch.

I've never been served so badly! The waiter was unprofessional and couldn't remember anything, so we received the wrong order. He also reacted arrogantly to our suggestion that a dish was missing!

Wir kannten das Restaurant von unserem Urlaub vor 2 Jahren. Also sind wir voller Vorfreude gleich am Ankunftstag hingegangen. Mir fiel gleich auf, das das Restaurant nicht so gut besucht war wie früher. Das machte mich gleich schon skeptisch. Vom Essen her war ich sehr enttäuscht und unzufrieden. Ich hatte den fischteller mit 3 Filets und 2 Saucen mit Bratkartoffeln und Salatbeilage. Bratkartoffeln waren eindeutig Tiefkühlware und in der Fritteuse gemacht und viel zu fettig. Die Fischfilets sehr klein und auch zu fettig. Die Sauce musste man auf dem Teller suchen. Zudem laufen sehr viele Bedienungen rum. Alle kommen und Fragen. Läuft etwas chaotisch. Wir waren schlicht enttäuscht und sind nicht mehr hingegangen..

Were there with the family. The dishes were not lavish and of mediocre quality. The redfish was "coated" with mustard and almost raw onion. The small iceberg lettuce in the side salad all had brown cut edges. After the waiter's obligatory question about whether it was tasty and my answer: I didn't like it, there was unfortunately no reaction. No recommendation possible!

Really 💕 good food, schnitzel and also a great fish plate, the Friesian cake was a dream, all kinds of coffee, the food was served in a short time. Totally recommended!!

We wanted to drink coffee and the children wanted cocoa. On the one hand, it took a relatively long time until we were served, it's no problem that you can't overlook the fact that new guests have sat down outside. Order placed, prices in As is typical for Sel, a total of over €20 for four hot drinks from the fully automatic machine. We had to wait quite a long time for these four hot drinks. At least on the outside, the restaurant wasn't so well attended that I would understand that. I can't judge the inside. The coffees came as well as the cocoa. My double espresso had neither a biscuit nor any other treat, but it was relatively bland and tasted very pale. My wife's cappuccino tasted outrageously bad, and there were no napkins for the children and their cocoa. All in all, the product and service were terrible. The beach chairs on the terrace are comfortable

Last year we celebrated a family celebration there with almost 20 people: from the menu coordination (including dishes that were not on the menu and special requests that were gladly fulfilled [vegan]), to the loving decoration of the tables and the excellent food to the very good and friendly service: we are completely satisfied. Gladly again!

Totally nice and friendly staff, the location is also great. Unfortunately not the food. We ordered schnitzel and a fish plate. The food came after 5-10 minutes, so it couldn't have been freshly prepared. The salad had been in the bowls for a while and the fried potatoes had apparently been thrown into the deep fryer to warm up. They were dripping with grease. It was similar with the fish. The schnitzel wasn't a taste explosion either, so it wasn't worth the money either. Price-performance is absolutely not right.

Geplant war ein schöner Abend mit Freunden zum Jahreswechsel 2023/2024. Leider wird uns dieser Abend in keiner guten Erinnerung bleiben. Da man uns bis zum 30.12 weder einen Preis für das Menü noch eine genaue Angabe der Speisen nennen konnte, Silvester dann die böse Überraschung. Uns wurde ein Tisch zugewiesen und dort nun die Menükarte 125€ pro Person ohne jegliche Getränke. 5 Gänge mit kleinen, meiner Meinung nach nicht besonders hochwertigen Produkten. Der Hauptgang das Rinderfilet war zäh und kalt und es wurde vorher nicht gefragt wie man es bevorzugt vom Garzustand. Die 4 Stunden die wir hier verbracht haben war verschenktes Geld und Lebenszeit. Ich werde dieses Lokal nicht weiter empfehlen.

The menu promises more than the food offers; Redfish fillet with an onion mustard crust was ordered. The crust turned out to be an onion-heavy mustard sauce - no trace of crust. We made our criticism on site and were shrugged off with a “That’s how it is…”. The portion was rather manageable - the price-performance ratio was absolutely not appropriate. In addition, the side salad was ordered without carrots but served with them; Instead of a new salad, only the carrots were removed. Unfortunately not all... and that is critical for allergy sufferers. We were disappointed with this restaurant visit.

Vorspeise Fischsuppe mit Fischfilet-Einlage, schön heiß, knackiges Gemüse, mussten nur wenig nachwürzen, war gut! 1. Hauptgericht: Fischteller mit dreierlei Fischfilet mit Speck-Bratkartoffeln: Bratkartoffeln etwas zu weich, zu sehr Speck-lastig, Fischfilets gut gebraten, trotzdem zart, leider etwas klein! 2. Hauptgericht: Penne mit Fischfiltets an Pesto: zwei leckere Fischfilets, große Portion Penne, aber leider war das Pesto zu intensiv, hat den zarten Fisch etwas erdrückt! Hätte ich ja vorher mal überlegen können! Nachspeise: Panna Cotta mit Himbeer, eher wenig Geschmack, Himbeeren kaum zu erkennen, kleine Portion. Bedienung flott und locker, nettes Ambiente, teilweise kleine und abgeschirmte Nischen. Preis/Leistung insgesamt OK, günstiger als sonst auf der Insel

We ordered a la carte for New Year's Eve. Our wishes were different, but almost all of them were disappointed. The children's meal and fish were good. The duck breast was good, but the sauce was completely over salted. The rump steak was ordered once medium rare and once well done. Unfortunately, both were almost finished. The steaks weren't allocated correctly so we had to swap. We expected that there wouldn't be anything vegan. However, the fact that there was nothing vegetarian really irritated us. So we only ordered the fish side dishes. The highlight was that the full price was charged (approx. 30€). That was definitely not appropriate. Service was good, ambience OK, hence two stars.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Silvesterabend mit einem super Menü. Danke an das tolle Team, es war ein toller Abend. Und ist auf jeden Fall weiter zu empfehlen, danke dafür.

We drank tea and ate cake and/or waffles here twice within a few days. Service: Absolutely top. We immediately felt at home. Jokes were immediately made with our daughter (6) and she was treated like any guest. The first time we had to wait a bit for a table, but it was also very full. Food: cake, waffles, tea and cocoa, everything was the right portion size. The prices were ok. The food was very tasty. Ambience: Everything was clean and decorated according to the season. Conclusion: If we are back on Langeoog, we will go here again. Definitely!

Leider war die Bedienung (eine dunkelhaarige Dame) derart unfreundlich dass wir das Restaurant nicht betreten durften! Reserviert und angefragt mit (!!) zwei Hunden als Begleitung wurden wir in einem harten Tonfall aus dem Restaurant geschmissen, da die Hunde (Pudel Mischlinge) zu groß gewesen sein sollen! Vielleicht vorher mal nachfragen wenn das so wichtig für Sie ist ?!

Das Essen an sich war Geschmacklich gut leider passten die Mengen nicht. Bei der Hauptspeise kam mein Essen leider 30 min später als das meiner Begleiter und die Bedienung war sehr robust ansonsten war das Ambiente und alles drum herum in Ordnung

Seit mehreren Jahren komme wir immer sehr gerne hier her. Freundlich sympathische Mitarbeiter, hervorragendes Essen in einem gehobenen Ambiente. Hier fühlt man sich immer willkommen!

Fischteller alte Post für 26.70€ gegessen. Auf den Fotos im Internet sieht dieser Teller auf den Bildern anders aus. Bratkartoffeln ohne Brat mit Schinken statt Speck. Salat aus Blattsalat mit einem Stück Tomate und ein paar Stücken Möhre. Die drei Fischfilet Stücke sahen aus wie drei geteilte Fischstäbchen ohne Panade. Das Menü dürfte eigentlich nur 10€ kosten. Alles in allem NIE WIEDER.

Das Verhältnis der Portion des Essen zum Preis steht in keiner Relation. Wir hatten zwei mal die Fischplatte und ich wäre mit beiden Portionen nicht satt geworden. Und den Preis finde ich mehr als unangemessen. Nie wieder. Sorry

Nettes Personal, leckeres Essen. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Top saubere und stilvolle Zimmer. Kaum Geräusche außerhalb des Zimmers hörbar. Mitarbeiter immer nett und zuvorkommend. Das Essen im Haus war durchgehend hervorragend und der Service dazu auch sehr freundlich und Kundenorient. Macht weiter so das hebt sich von anderen Dienstleistern auf der Insel deutlich ab.

Wir haben in der alten Post sehr gut gegessen. Zur Vorspeise gab es Garnelen 👍, danach Muscheln in Tomatensoße 🍴🍴und zum Abschluss Creme Brulé 😋

Waren heute wieder in der Alten Post essen und wieder sehr zufrieden mit dem Service und Essen. Gehen auch in Zukunft hier wieder essen.

Die leckerste, und heiße, klare Fischsuppe auf Langeoog

Schön helles und großzügiges Restaurant. Wir haben gleich einen schönen Tisch am Fenster zur Hauptstraße bekommen. Auch unsere Bestellung wurde zügig entgegen genommen. Nach kurzer Zeit kam dann auch schon unser leckeres Essen. Für Langeoog waren die Preise durchaus noch in einem vertretbaren Bereich. Also mal hin und selbst ausprobieren!

Sehr nettes Lokal auf Langeoog um Kaffee und Kuchen sowie sehr leckeres Essen zu bekommen. Von der Fischsuppe zum "Alte Post Fischteller" sowie von der Karotten-Ingwer Suppe zum Cordon-Bleu absolut Perfekt. Was nicht so gut gefiel war das sich das Personal hinter der Theke in nicht deutscher Sprache relativ laut Streitereien austrug. Ansonsten sehr zu empfehlen

Wir sind das erste Mal dort essen gewesen und was soll ich sagen. Das Essen war perfekt. Für 2 Leute mit Getränken zwar 87 Euro aber das war es auch absolut Wert. Auf alle Fälle gehen wir dort wieder essen. Das Personal war klasse. Macht weiter so.😊

Das Hotel ist super sauber, dafür ein dickes Lob an die Reinigungskräfte. Das Personal ist immer freundlich und kein Wunsch ist zuviel. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr lecker. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Wir waren jetzt das erste Mal im Hotel Nordwind und planen schon unseren nächsten Aufenthalt. Tolle saubere Zimmer und ein Tolles Team, das Frühstück ist sehr lecker und für jeden Geschmack was dabei

Essen ist gut, aber die Portionsgrößen lassen zu wünschen übrig.

Ich war 5 Tage im Hotel. Zimmer top. Beim Frühstücksbuffet hatte man immer viel Auswahl und es ist immer nachgelegt worden wenn was fehlen sollte. Personal immer freundlich, höflich und hilfsbereit. Abends waren wir auch dort essen und es war alles top. Wenn im Hotel Hunde erlaubt wären (leider nicht, hab vor Ort gefragt), dann würde ich wieder dass Hotel Nordwind buchen.

Tee war in Ordnung, Service eher weniger freundlich. Ambiente war auch okay.

Es wir gutes norddeutsches Essen serviert. Die Preise sind hoch, die Qualität der Speisen allerdings auch. Freundlichkeit ist ausbaufähig. Es ist doch ein Massengeschäft.

Wir hatten nur eine Runde Getränke vor der Abfahrt. Saßen geschützt auf der Außenterrasse und hatten einen flotten Kellner mit lustigen Sprüchen erwischt.
