Restaurant und Bar Luise in Berlin

I can't understand why the reviews differ so much. It can only mean that people who didn't enjoy their work used to work here. That's obviously no longer the case. We were there today as a family of six, and two of us were here for the third time since Pentecost. And we were all very satisfied. The server was friendly and relaxed, and we were able to move our table several times to get a bit more shade. The drinks were good, and so were the dishes. The latter, by the way, was huge and just about manageable. The chicken shashlik is a real eye-catcher; just try it and you'll know what I mean. So we'll be back, and you can definitely try it too!

Excellent location, outstanding service and delicious food.

The food is delicious, with refreshingly new flavor combinations. Four vegan main courses and plenty of regional dishes. We were thrilled.

I was there for dinner about two weeks ago. I actually like coming here. The location is perfect, I like the bar, the food is delicious, and the service is friendly. So much for the pleasant things. But now my request: Stand on the promenade and look at your own terrace. Unfortunately, it looks so uninviting that I hardly want to sit down with you. It's incredibly important that you feel comfortable on the terrace and that it also looks really inviting. But at the moment, there are just a few tables with chairs and a few closed umbrellas. Not a bit of decoration, no plants or flowers, no nice signs with handwritten offers or anything like that – nothing, absolutely nothing. Simply boring. Please spend some money on it. It's not that expensive. If you look around a bit, you'll find inexpensive decorations everywhere that significantly enhance the exterior. I hope my words don't go unheeded... see you again soon.

Never again! From the very first second, you get the feeling that you're not welcome as a guest and are actually just a nuisance. There's no warm welcome, some confusion, some overwhelm. Questions about your order aren't really welcome or just make you feel annoyed. I've rarely felt so uncomfortable as a guest in a restaurant. It really feels like you're being processed. Not a friendly word, not a friendly smile. The owner's responses to other reviews here speak very clearly. Only two employees exuded a certain sense of service. We waited over an hour for our food, even though the restaurant was barely busy. When the food arrived, one steak was overcooked, the other was almost raw. (We then got new food.) Overall, the food was okay, though expensive. The only really nice thing about the restaurant is the location, but the atmosphere there is very tense and creates a very unpleasant atmosphere. We just wanted to leave as quickly as possible. It's a shame, because the restaurant really has potential, but with this level of service I really wonder how it can last so long.

We celebrated a family celebration here with 20 people. The food was beautifully presented and delicious. The service was excellent. We had a wonderful time and simply say THANK YOU!

Unfriendly greeting when we wanted to sit outside (probably due to a lack of staff), but service was still prompt and the friendliness was supposedly typical of Berlin (😉), cappuccino was okay, spiced meat was tasty, but with hair in it... We probably could have gotten a new one (but we wouldn't have had enough time).

Reservation was quick. The food on offer is limited. Unfortunately, the cocktail was not mixed correctly and therefore didn't taste good. A Tequila Sunrise doesn't just include orange juice and tequila. sorry

We sat on the terrace in great weather, the service (temporary help) was extremely nice and very attentive when it came to drinks. Food was good, not much on the menu but really Lekka. The asparagus still had some bite! Yes, there was a bit of a lack of seasoning, but there is salt and pepper on the table. The fried potatoes are a bit greasy and the liver is no longer quite rosy!

Location is of course beautiful. The service was friendly. Unfortunately the food was really not good. In terms of taste and quality, it all seemed “not very ambitious”. The table decorations and furnishings also seemed rather cheap and not particularly appealing. You simply cannot understand how the restaurant can survive under this management. It must simply be the situation that allows you to survive. We've been there every now and then over the last few years and gave you a chance. Unfortunately, the service is always overwhelmed and unfriendly. Let alone if we want to get into the technical side of things. When I look at the owner's responses to the critical recessions here, I don't know whether to laugh or cry. You have so much potential because of the location. Unfortunately, the fish stinks from the head and spreads to all employees. Very unfortunate Addendum: Just assume that you're not the only restaurateur on the planet! That's exactly why they should try even harder to give their guests a nice feeling due to the current situation! The way you argue, you are not an expert. I feel very sorry for your employees.

Bei Sonne einfach eine tolle Terrasse direkt am Wasser. Bedienung freundlich, aber leider sehr gemütlich. Essen solide. Aber die Lage machts. Daher der vierte Punkt.

We were there yesterday around 5 p.m. I only wanted beans and parsley potatoes, my companion had the wonderful salmon with caviar. The salmon plate was fantastic to look at and tasted excellent 🫶 We enjoyed our time and will definitely come back here!

The boss rounded up his crew: "The guests in the dining room will be served first and those on the lawn should wait!" We left the store immediately and without placing an order. This is behavior that is not customer-oriented and also not up-to-date. We strongly recommend that the boss adopt modern manners. That was our last visit.

Currywurst and fries lukewarm, lousy service, forever waiting for food (70 minutes!!!) and the children's food also took so long! Ambience very appealing, location perfect

Not far from Köpenick town hall, a restaurant in the old town with a view of the water. The restaurant has its entrance in the passage to the water...so it's not immediately visible apart from a sign on the street. The restaurant is nicely decorated. To eat there was liver with fried onions and apple pieces on mashed potatoes, schnitzel with fried potatoes, sirloin steak with fries and a pasta dish.....mmmhhh.....tasty..... All in all we were very satisfied. Card payment is possible.

As a wedding location in winter, the ambience is rather simple, but the service and food score points!

Ate starters, main courses and desserts. Unfortunately, the food and service were below average. A festive table should be prepared for the anniversary. If the answer was yes, then there wasn't even a tablecloth and dirt was constantly trickling down from the parasols

We had spiced meat, currywurst, beetroot risotto and pasta flowers with pesto. Everything was delicious and obviously freshly prepared. We also sat very nicely. The service was quick, friendly and attentive. We'd love to come back.

We have given Restaurant Luise a chance several times in recent years. Unfortunately, the service is constantly unfriendly, overwhelmed and not particularly professional. Our wine glasses were e.g. placed with your fingers on the top edge of the glass. There was also no wine cooler. The most symbolic example is how recessions are dealt with and responded to here. Im Sommer direkt am Wasser, wenn´s kalt ist und regnet dann halt drinnen. Flinkes und freundliches Personal, gut bürgerliches Essen. Komme gerne wieder!

Unfortunately, I can also admit that the service was not very friendly. The waiter (apparently the boss himself) was extremely unfriendly, almost annoyed. He also shouted at the table next door in a very rude manner and the other employees criticized him loudly in front of the guests, which we noticed on the way out. We actually just ordered something very simple. The currywurst and the potato pancakes. We waited over an hour for the food and when it came, the potato pancakes were already lukewarm and the currywurst wasn't cooked properly either. There were also far too many fries and you would have had to ask for ketchup. When paying, the boss reacted quite unfriendly because the tip in this case was “only” one euro. Sorry, but this service and the almost cold food really wasn't worth more to us. The only plus point.....the view of the Dahme, IF you can sit outside. It's a shame, because you could do a lot more with this place.

On September 18th, 2024 we returned to the “Luise” restaurant in a good mood and unfortunately had the feeling throughout that we were not welcome. No greeting, just the necessary question as we walked past about what we wanted to drink in a harsh, impatient tone that seemed pretty unprofessional and didn't get any better as the process progressed. I always can't understand what's so hard about being kind, especially when kindness is shown to you. It's just sad and spoils the mood, especially since we really enjoyed the food and it was very nicely prepared. Of course prices have risen, but people still enjoy eating out, love socializing and are prepared to dig deeper into their pockets. But as you have to realize, food alone is not enough. Please let us treat each other more respectfully and politely, then life will be much more enjoyable and sales will definitely benefit. Greetings Judith

Rarely have a waiter spoken to me in such an unfriendly manner as in this restaurant. It turned out that it was the owner himself. Then payment by his employee: When paying by card, my friend was asked whether he wanted to pay his tip directly from the card or in cash. I think whether you pay a tip, especially if you are treated badly, is not decided by the waiter but by the guest. When I paid in cash, he became even bolder: he didn't even want to hand over the remaining €10.10. Incredibly outrageous and as already mentioned by others: constructive criticism is not accepted!

Rather brittle, uncommitted service. The food was solid, but a bit of creative variety would be nice. This rather brazen behavior regarding tips has never happened to me anywhere before - which ultimately led to no tips. 🤷‍♂️

Costly idyll. The view over the Dahme is beautiful, no question. However, you can get it for free from the promenade. Coming here just for the food is probably not a good idea. The food is clearly overpriced and at the culinary level of a bad large canteen. We were able to celebrate a baby shower party at Luise today and there were 15 nice women and we can say this day was a complete success!! Everything was perfect, we couldn't have done anything differently! Thanks to the whole team in the restaurant 🤘

I was a regular because the food was always great. The veal liver in particular was one of my favorites. Unfortunately there seems to have been a change in the restaurant. The veal liver (now a huge unsightly "flat") has become terrible and the waiter, who was mentioned here before... well... takes getting used to. Unfortunately it has deteriorated quite a bit. It's a shame, one less regular guest...

This is a nice German restaurant with nice views and very good food. The staff is friendly and fast. The menu isn’t too extensive but there are enough options. The veal liver, pork schnitzel, and the cheese spätzle were all very good.

Although there was some irritation at the beginning because we weren't supposed to put tables together (to celebrate a birthday), it worked out. The food was tasty, although the menu was rather small. The service by a young waitress was pleasant and helped us feel comfortable in the small, economical room. The restaurant's location on the water is a plus.

Extremely unfriendly and not at all customer oriented. As a new guest you are simply left standing and people run past you three times. When we asked if we could sit down we were shouted at. When we finally sat down we had to get the tickets ourselves because no one came. After another wait and without a waiter, we left again.

Addendum to the answer: The food was very tasty, the service left a lot to be desired. 90ct for a small bag of mayonnaise as requested, with three dishes with fries, was a shame! Food rather mediocre. Two dishes were completely forgotten. When asked, they said they were on the way. After 90 minutes we left. There was no apology whatsoever. The only reason is that it is very busy and only 2 people work in the kitchen. With such poor service you can only shake your head. Absolutely no recommendation! ⁹

Disappointing. Duck leg and roulade tasted warmed up, the red cabbage was just lukewarm. Two of the six dishes for our round were forgotten. When asked, they said they were “on the way.” After another 20 minutes of waiting, we asked for the bill and gave up the two missing meals. Not a single word of helpfulness from the staff, just a note that it was very full today (three group reservations that could have been easily accommodated).

They were very friendly and made room for my wheelchair ♿️ and everything was delicious 😋

So I'm stunned by what we experienced today. It took over 45 minutes for the first drink to be at the table and only after we asked. The Virgin Caipirinha had nothing to do with the name and was at really cool prices. More than an hour after ordering, the children's portion of pasta with tomato sauce arrived. It was a portion that consisted of a maximum of 3 tablespoons and cost €7.50. This visit was an absolute disaster and I have never experienced anything like it. The only thing I can highlight positively is the nice waitress. Update to the owner: It is very commendable that they accept criticism. This first and foremost. In my opinion, with 4 chairs at a table, 4 adults can be served. Ordering 2 drinks for children should not overwhelm you. If so, I have my own opinion on it. We have expressed our displeasure to your employees, if you don't pass this on, it will probably be another problem at this point. It's good that you confirm my impression with your answer. Ich hatte gestern (01.01.) kurzfristig reserviert - für 4 Personen. Für 13:30 Uhr. Wir kamen auch pünktlich an. Aber - wir wollten eigentlich nur uns treffen und einen Kaffee trinken... Der Wirt schaute etwas irritiert als nur 4 Cappuccino bestellt wurden - so fühlte ich mich ´genötigt, doch noch ein Essen zu bestellen. Bestellte ein Schnitzel - lt. Karte wären es € 19,50 (oder so) gewesen - berechnet hat er dann € 23,xx! (ich traute mich nicht etwas zu sagen - so unwirsch, unfreundlich war der Wirt ("... ich bin heute alleine da!"). Die Bratkartoffeln waren genau das: teilw. schwarz gebraten. Und Offensichtlich waren genau das: schwarz gebraten. UND versalzen. Als ich beim Bezahlen das anmerkte - keine Reaktion, kein Wort. Nicht einmal Danke... Und als ich es noch wagte für das halbe Schnitzel einen "Doggy Bag" zu verlangen gab er sich keine Mühe seinen Ärger zu verstecken - und knallte mir einenRiesenbehälter für das kl. Stückchen Schnitzel auf den Tisch. Und dabei gibt es soviel nette, freundliche und schönere Lokale in Köpenick! Louise - dem Wirt sind die Gäste sch-egal, Hauptsache Umsatz!!

As in previous years, we had a wonderful Christmas dinner here. The food was delicious, the service was attentive and always friendly and we felt completely at home.

Tolles Essen, Schönes Ambiente, toller Ausblick auf die Dahme. Leider kam ein Essen zu wenig an, so kann ich leider keine fünf Sterne geben, auch wenn man bemüht war schnell zu reagieren.

Netter Service, leckeres Essen. Im Sommer gibt es die Möglichkeit draußen an der Dahme zu sitzen. Ich habe um 14 Uhr angerufen und am gleichen Tag einen Tisch für 19 Uhr bekommen. Das Bier aus der Brauerei in Altlandsberg kann ich empfehlen.

Gehen schon seit Jahren da essen und es ist immer wieder lecker Mitarbeiter höflich Service sehr und die wartezeit ist auch nicht so das schlimmste da man immer wieder merkt dass das frisch zubereitete

Sicherlich ein schönes Restaurant und bestimmt auch lecker. Auf die Frage, ob uns noch ein Sonnenschirm aufgemacht wird, würde nur gesagt, dass er nichts ändert. Es könnten ja Gäste kommen, die Sonne mögen. Also lieber es könnte als jetzt haben. Auf so ein unhöfliches Personal verzichten wir lieber und suchen uns etwas freundlicheres! Wir waren im Sommer 2023 trotzdem noch einmal da. Nun war es entspannter. Vielleicht hat man draus gelernt. Haben aber nur etwas getrunken. Würde ich wieder hingehen.

Schade, dass bei dieser exzellenten Lage dieses Restaurant so wenig einladend ist.

Kann das Essen und die Atmosphäre dort leider (noch) nicht bewerten, wohl aber den netten Inhaber (?), der uns bei einem Problem in der Umgebung, das komplett außerhalb des Verantwortungsbereichs des Restaurants lag (saßen am späten Abend auf einem Parkplatz mit defekter Schranke fest) über das erwartbare Maß hinaus unterstützt hat hat. Eine solche Hilfsbereitschaft findet man heutzutage selten! Nochmals grosses Dankeschön dafür!

Wir hatten eine Tischreservierung für 13 Personen (mit Bestätigung per Mail) , aber leider war die Reservierung im Restaurant nicht bekannt und das Restaurant wurde gerade als wir ankamen um 19.00 Uhr geschlossen. Kommentar vor Ort: „Wenden Sie sich an die Geschäftsführung“ ( anderen Gästen mit Reservierung ging es genauso). So standen wir an einem Montag mit 13 Personen auf der Straße und mussten ein anderes Restaurant suchen. Was bei einem sehr freundlichen Inder gelang, beim nächsten Mal gehen wir wohl besser direkt dorthin…

Ein bisschen warten mussten wir schon und öfters mussten wir nach Senf Fragen, aber das herrliches Essen hat alles wieder gut gemacht.

Hatten vor einigen Wochen einen Tisch für 8 Personen reserviert. Als wir ankamen war da ein großer Tisch + kleiner Beistelltisch (weder bündig in der Höhe noch in der Breite) lieblos zusammengeschoben. Auf Nachfrage schob ein Kellner missmutig doch einen großen Tisch dazu. Der Service war allgemein sehr unmotiviert, wortkarg und unprofessionell. Teilweise wurden leere Gläser zwar abgeräumt, aber auch nicht gefragt, ob man etwas neues trinken möchte. Als wir nach Eis für Nachtisch fragten, wurden wir lieblos an den Aushang dazu an der Tür hingewiesen (Liste der Eissorten!?). Nachdem der Kellner nicht wiederkam entschieden wir uns den Nachtisch woanders einzunehmen. Auf die Rechnung haben wir ebenfalls ewig gewartet. Andere potenzielle Gäste wurde unhöflichst abgewiesen wegen angeblich reservierter Tische, was ebenfalls starkes Unbehagen brachte. Fazit: Wir waren früher sehr gern hier. Ausblick, Service und die Qualität des Essens bildeten eine wunderbare Symbiose. ABER: Der Ausblick ist zwar immer noch wunderschön, aber der unterirdische Service, die nachlassende Qualität des Essens und das lieblose Ambiente ist das Geld nicht wert. Nachdem wir nun schon zum zweiten Mal enttäuscht wurden, kommen wir definitiv nicht wieder!

Bei wunderschönen Wetter fanden wir einen schönen Tisch auf der Außenterrasse und wurden prompt und schnell bedient. Die bestellten Gerichte kamen in sehr guter Qualität und haben sehr gut geschmeckt. Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen und wir kommen wieder

Essen ist ok, aber zu wenig Auswahl. Sehr hochpreisig.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Wir hatten Glück und bekamen einen Tisch auf der Terrasse. Das Personal war freundlich und schnell. Das Essen war schmackhaft und die Getränke schön kühl. Alles so, wie es sein sollte!

Sehr schoene Location, toller Blick auf das Wasser und zentral gelegen in der wunderschoenen Altstadt von Koepenick. Leider bin ich jedesmal fast schockiert, wie unfreundlich das Personal ist. Die letzten Male sind wir fast schon mit geducktem Kopf rein und wurden wieder foermlich von der Dame angefaucht.

Eine sehr schöne Lage, leider sehr unambitioniertes und unfreundliches Personal. Tische werden als reserviert markiert und keinesfalls vergeben, wenn nur Kaffee gewünscht wird. Auf offensichtlich behinderte Menschen wird dabei keine Rücksicht genommen. Keine Empfehlung!

Unsere Erfahrung von Samstag Nachmittag: Wir hatten nur eine Chance zum Bestellen, da die Bedienung nicht noch einmal an unserem Tisch vorbeikam, was auch das Bezahlen letztlich hinauszögerte. Somit blieb es bei zwei Kaffee und wir gaben somit auch kein Trinkgeld. Als wir die Terrasse verließen, rief der Kellner seinen Kollegen zu, als wir an der offenen Terrassentür vorbei das Lokal verließen: "Die hätten wir gar nichtbedienen dürfen. Nur Getränke und kein Tip." So ein unfreundliches Lokal mit so wenig Bedienung hatten wir auch noch nicht erlebt.

Der selbstgemachte Kartoffelsalat ist sehr gut

Ein besonderer Ort an der Dahmemündung. Sehr gutes Essen, vor allen Dingen abends mit Blick aufs Wasser. Eine wunderbare Atmosphäre.

Leider wurde uns unser Wein einfach von einem Angestellten auf den Tisch geknallt. So mit dem Motto macht euch euren .....alleine auf. Außerdem finde ich das man die Mayonnaise und Ketchup extra bezahlen muss. Denn ich dann auch noch nicht einmal erhalten. Außerdem finde ich die Preise teilweise unverschämt.

Obwohl zwei Tische frei wurden wir zurückgewiesen, weil wir nichts essen wollten. Vermeiden, es gibt andere schöne Orte am Wasser.

Tolle Lage, am Zusammenfluss von Dahme und Spree. Gute Berliner Küche zu angebrachten Preisen.

Als Urköpenicker sind wir oft vorbeigelaufen. Gestern waren wir das erste Mal bei Luise. Haben telefonisch Plätze bestellt. Hat mit Rückruf geklappt. Sehr gemütlich auf der Terrasse und schöner Blick aufs Wasser. Essen ging schnell und schmackhaft. ABER: der Barkeeper brachte uns den Wein und Wasser, knallte alles auf den Tisch und verschwand wieder nach der Devise, sollen die sich doch selber eingießen. Bei den Preisen dort gehört das zum Service einfach dazu. Wir schauten uns verdattert an und sagten uns, hier gehen wir bestimmt nicht mehr hin.

Superleckeres und total gutes Essen (Sterne als auch gut bürgerliche Berliner Kost). Freundliches Personal. Superschöner Ausblick auf die Spree.

Essen war Top.Wartezeit eben so top/ angemessen. Etwas Unstimmigkeiten zwischen der Bedienung untereinander. WC Herren war ok,aber mehr Baustelle/improvisiert. Trotzdem würde ich die Lokation empfehlen. Essen war wirklich super.Preis- Leistung angemessen. 👍
