Restaurant Thalassa in Backnang

Um ehrlich zu sagen war es wirklich das schlechteste was ich jemals gegessen habe. Das Fleisch war überhaupt nicht saftig und hatte auch kaum Geschmack oder Würze. Das Highlight vom ganzen war noch, dass mein Salat verdorben war war lätschig, eingeweicht und komplett braun. Beim Essen musste ich es sofort ausspucken. Für den Preis auch noch ne absolute Frechheit.

Der beste Grieche in Backnang und hier wird einfach der Gast sehr herzlich immer empfangen, wir kommen sehr gerne hierher und können es jedem nur empfehlen.

Rundum sorglos und einfach lecker! Besonders positiv hervorzuheben ist, dass es auch für Menschen mit Zöliakie sowie für Vegetarier einige gute Optionen gibt. Das Personal wusste genau, worauf hinsichtlich Gluten und möglicher Kreuzkontamination zu achten ist, was leider nicht selbstverständlich ist. Die Speisekarte könnte lediglich bei den Allergenangaben aktualisiert werden, da inzwischen die meisten Gerichte auch glutenfrei zubereitet werden können. Zum Hauptgericht wird außerdem ein Salatbuffet angeboten, was eine schöne Ergänzung ist. Der Kartoffelsalat hat meinen Geschmack nicht ganz getroffen, da die Kartoffelscheiben recht dick geschnitten waren. Aber im Schwabenland den perfekten schwäbischen Kartoffelsalat zu kreieren, ist natürlich auch eine besondere Herausforderung. Insgesamt ein sehr gelungener Besuch – wir kommen gerne wieder!

Waren auf der Suche nach einem Lokal in Backnang mit Mittagstisch. Haben dann das Thalassa entdeckt. Das Essen war sehr lecker und ausreichend. Und der Preis war auch ok. Kann es empfehlen. Wenn ich mal wieder hier in der Ecke bin, komme ich bestimmt wieder vorbei.

Greek restaurant with an extensive lunch menu (and dinner menu as well) at reasonable prices. Lunch portions are generous. A side salad can be ordered for €2.50. Highly recommended, in my opinion.

The food was tasty but unfortunately too little for 19€ plus delivery costs, which means we got 22.77€ for so little.

I've ordered Greek food here countless times, and the delivery always arrived. Food? Simply delicious! The gyro salad is absolutely amazing. 🔥🥗 Delivery times vary, but hey – I know it's really busy here. The drivers are always super friendly. And when Greek music blares from the delivery van… I totally adore it! 😆👌 Sure, the prices are a bit higher, but considering the delivery effort and Lieferando, it's completely understandable. Quality has its price. 🇬🇷💙

The gyro was very good. The meat was cooked crisply. The restaurant was very loud. After a year and a half, I visited the restaurant again. As before, you can help yourself to the salad bar. The food was once again very tasty and the portions were generous. Compared to December 2023, the prices have increased significantly.

Very, very good food! The gyro was probably the best I've ever eaten! The fries were also great. The baked eggplant could have used a bit more salt, but otherwise it was very good! The price was also reasonable. The souvlak was a bit tough, but that's just nitpicking... It's not really my thing.

We had the mixed grill dish for two people – simply fantastic! Everything was perfectly prepared: tender meat, spicy taste and fresh tzatziki, crispy fries and salad from the buffet. Portion was more than sufficient and great for sharing. You can tell that the cooking here is made with high-quality ingredients and real Greek passion. The service was warm and attentive, the atmosphere cozy. Absolutely recommended – we would love to come back!

We ate there on Valentine's Day, but in hindsight we shouldn't have done it. 2 hours!!! Waited for our food, two simple plates. Yes, it was busy, but 2 hours is too much. If the food had at least tasted good and wasn't just warmed up, we would still somehow understand it. The service was nice, but we never saw her.

Food was delicious, one star deducted because the selection at the salad buffet was small and the bowl of tzatziki was tiny.

I spontaneously ordered a salad to pick up on a Saturday evening, didn't have any great expectations, just hungry. Salad was wonderful, very tasty grilled chicken, great bread, and it was ready on time, even though the restaurant was quite busy that evening.

We have been coming to the Thalassa restaurant for years and have never been disappointed. Everyone is always very friendly without it seeming fake. We mostly come for lunch, where despite the surcharge there are still very good offers and a large selection. We also find the interior, with its versatile decoration ideas, very appealing.

The gyro meat was grilled too hard, otherwise it was satisfying.

Had a really delicious lunch this afternoon. Nothing to complain about, a full 5 stars more than deserved. Keep it up, we'll definitely be back.

When we arrived at the restaurant we were irritated because the restaurant looked rather small and simple from the outside. When we entered the restaurant we were very pleasantly surprised. Modern, spacious restaurant with a Mediterranean atmosphere. The Greek cuisine is top and the prices are very fair. The lady in service was very friendly, attentive and accommodating, all in all a successful visit to the restaurant, gladly again!

Don't let the small entrance fool you here. Because behind it I opened a friendly and modern restaurant. Everything is so lovingly coordinated that you really feel like you are on holiday in Greece. To top it off 👑 the delicious food... *Excellent* 😃👍 Rounded off with a very courteous staff.

If you love Greek cuisine, you should definitely go to Thalassa in Backnang. This family business not only offers excellent cuisine, but also first-class service and a beautiful ambience. Thalassa is the best choice, especially for celebrations such as family celebrations, baptisms, birthdays and many other occasions. The atmosphere is always warm and inviting, perfect for unforgettable celebrations. A highlight of the menu are the original souvlaki – juicy grilled like in Greece. The quality and price are absolutely recommended. We love this restaurant and are sure you will too!

Quite high prices for a Greek restaurant, BUT actually worth every cent. Excellent service: wine is served e.g. B. replenished regularly. The waitress asks at pleasant intervals whether there is anything else that can be served. Fresh fish is also offered at fair prices in addition to the normal menu. Food was surprisingly high quality & large portions. Perfect waiting times between starter and main course. You can tell that service is still highly valued in the catering industry here. Before we started there was also a high-quality ouzu in a glass bottle. Salad is very fresh and tasty as a buffet. Will most likely be our new favorite when it comes to good food in Backnang. We'd love to come back.

We have been customers for several years and have been to the restaurant up to 5 times a month. Unfortunately, mayonaise was recently abolished and there is only ketchup for food. This makes us, as loyal customers, very sad. We are forced to look for another establishment.

Great restaurant. Lots of different dishes on the menu. Delicious. But prices are quite high (especially for drinks and here the tzatziki). Free ouzo in small bottles that you can pour yourself is a great plus. Salad buffet is also really great.
