Extremely satisfied. Just had Labskaus, and my colleague had spit-roasted pork. Both were truly delicious. The proprietor was very, very friendly. The atmosphere was also very nice. We'll be back. Went there again this year, as promised. Totally disappointed. Sat in the dark side room first. The food was terrible. I'm a chef myself and can judge by that. The fried herring was completely overcooked. The fried potatoes were extremely greasy and mushy. I've never eaten fried potatoes like that before. The guests at the next table had the same experience. I met the other guests later on the street and chatted with them. They felt the same way. The greasy fried potatoes sat in my stomach all night. The proprietor is great, the food is a flop.... I'd be happy to show you how to make proper fried potatoes so they look fresh and crispy.

As we all know, taste is subjective. Some people like it well, others dislike it. Everyone has to try it for themselves 🥸 The same goes for the ambiance. The owner, however, is fantastic.

A review is not possible. We arrived and went straight into the "garden," as the view through the open door into the dining room didn't give us a cozy feeling. There were no cushions on the metal chairs. The proprietor looked out the window and asked if he could help, but his tone sounded more like: what do you want here? I replied that we just wanted a cup of tea. The curt reply was: Tea time is from 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and he was in the kitchen because his guests would be arriving soon. Okay, so since we weren't his guests, we turned around right away. If you don't want customers and find them a nuisance, you don't have to get any. But then you should also close the door so it doesn't give the impression that you're open. According to the notice board, the opening hours are from 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., but heaven forbid you arrive between 4:30 and 5 p.m.... If it's already too much to turn on the kettle and put a spoonful of tea into a pot...

Every time I have visitors here and every time it's incredibly tasty, I always take the schnitzel variants and have never been disappointed. Every time you can even hear how it's being freshly beaten and every time it's great. The landlord is a super nice, friendly person who you can have an incredibly good chat with when he has the time. We just had a drink in the tea room. The service was polite and tried to offer us food. Unfortunately, the carbonated drinks were virtually non-carbonated. You could drink the hot drinks. The air in the place was very stale and it smelled a bit musty. The tablecloths were not clean.

I was horrified by the dirty dishes. If I were prone to herpes, I would have looked like a crumb cake the next day. It was dirty! Finally I went to the toilet... I shouldn't have done that... underground. This has nothing to do with “quaint” or older furniture or dishes from the 60s. The cake was delicious, I hoped it wasn't baked there.

Were there on Saturday afternoon and Sunday afternoon, wanted to eat a delicious tea with cake. Unfortunately nothing came of it😬 because the opening times specified, neither on Google nor the times posted outside by the operator, are not correct in the slightest. 😡🤬. It's a shame this can also scare away guests/holidaymakers 👋.

Today I had a sensational schnitzel topped with hollandaise and cheese. Freshly pounded, tender as butter, and simply delicious with the cheese and hollandaise. The service and location were quaint. We'd love to come back. I hope this tea room stays around for a long time! 👍

Hey Ingolf, You offer more than just a name and a name. Even on a "holy" Sunday, you are personally present for your local customers. Find this restaurant here on Wangerooge. May your culinary arts be preserved on Wangerooge and the surrounding area for a long time to come. Such attentive, friendly service. Even though it was fully booked, we still managed to get a table and a delicious dinner. And the city wants to demolish such a long-established establishment – ​​to make way for a new office building. What a disgrace.

We visited Ingolf's twice during our vacation on Wangerooge. The food was delicious, and the portions were definitely generous. The loving and warm treatment of the guests is also worth mentioning. If we ever travel to Wangerooge again, we will definitely stop by the tea room again. Thank you for the two wonderful evenings.

Six of us ate in the tea room. Everything was very good. The ambience matched the music selection perfectly. We think it's a must to eat and go there.

We enjoy eating in the tea room every year. The restaurant is rustically furnished, the host is very friendly and the dishes are home-style and very tasty. There are also some very good dishes for children.

At our request, the fried fish was served with kale. Thanks to the Maître de Cuisine for the tasteful arrangement.

We were only there at coffee time and were very impressed. There were homemade cakes and delicious Frisian tea. If you would like to go back to the 70s, this is the right place for you. The furnishings and the musical atmosphere invite you to indulge. The whole thing is well maintained by the nice boss.

As many people write: real home cooking. Very good portions. Nobody gets up hungry here. The boss loves his job. Really recommended.

In short: rustic, friendly, familiar. We felt like we were in good hands as a small family. Simple but good(!) food. If you want bright and modern, you can head up to the promenade. If you want a rustic atmosphere and nice music from Grandpa's living room, including a very nice owner, this is the right place for you.

It's a pleasure to be a guest here. portions to fill you up; We all enjoyed it very much. Extremely child-friendly - the portions for the little ones come quickly before the parents' main course. A visit is on the agenda for every Wangerooge holiday.

Wir waren zum wiederholten Mal in der Teestube, sowohl zum Tee trinken mit ausgezeichnetem Kuchen (selbst gebacken), als auch zum Abendessen. Die Gerichte, Fleisch und Fisch, werden frisch zubereitet, schmecken ausgezeichnet und man hat auch die Chance die Gerichte abzuändern, z. B. ohne Zwiebeln. Es wäre schade, wenn es die Teestube auf der Insel nicht mehr gibt.

Great place to relax with Frisian tea and cake, or have a casual chat with the owner. For me it's part of my Wangerooge stay.

Really great and authentic place with delicious dishes on the menu. The service is very attentive and you get decent portions of food. Unfortunately, some of our dishes were a bit burnt, but that was probably because one person did the service, drinks and food.

The tea room is a real treat! When I visited, I immediately felt at home in the beautifully and rustically furnished surroundings. The kitchen impressed me with its excellent work, especially the pulled pork was terrific. I can highly recommend the tea room for anyone looking for a cozy and outstanding culinary experience.

Rustic and very tasty! In the tea room you might think time has stood still. Rustic, tasteful ambience with the right music. - You have to experience it. The menu is not large, but everything is freshly prepared and very tasty. If you don't get enough portions, it's your own fault. The landlord is very friendly and attentive. We had nothing to complain about and would love to come back.

After about five years, ten stays on the island and 20 evenings in the tea room, I just have to give it a go (even at the risk of making it even more difficult to get a table): the tea room is by far the best restaurant on Wangerooge and also offers the best price-performance ratio of all(!) restaurants. The rustic facility with many "exhibits" with some long history (which the operator Ingolf is happy to explain in a quiet moment) is an added bonus. A really urgent recommendation.

Hier haben wir sehr gut gegessen, heimische Kost, sehr lecker zubereitet. Auf die Wünsche der Kinder wurde von dem Gastwirt in jeder Hinsicht eingegangen. Auch auf Fragen unsererseits wurde ausführlich und sehr nett und kompetent geantwortet. Eine empfehlenswerte Location welche wir gerne wieder aufsuchen werden.

Wir waren drei Tage in Folge dort zum Abendessen und es war jedes Mal sehr lecker. Reservieren (auch telefonisch) ist ein Muss! Das Lokal war jeden Abend ausgebucht und ohne Reservierung hätten wir keinen Tisch bekommen. Gut bürgerliche norddeutsche Küche. Nur zu empfehlen!

Wir wollten was rustikales, bodenständiges und gute Hausmannskost. Das haben wir hier zu 100% gefunden. Der Herr des Hauses ist sehr nett, zuvorkommend und bemüht um jeden Gast. Das Essen schmeckt hervorragend und das schöne urige Lokal tut sein übriges. Wir kommen wieder!

Die Atmosphäre ist urig. Sehr rustikales Lokal, das in der Zeit stehen geblieben ist. (Was, so der Inhaber, auch der Grund ist dass keine Kartenzahlung möglich ist ☺️) Besagter Inhaber: Ingolf Schäfer, ist ein original. Bestellung aufschreiben, muss er nicht, da er das meiste eh selber kocht. Und...es schmeckt wie bei Muttern. Preis/Leistung ist mehr als gegeben. Wer Wangerooge besucht, MUSS die Teestube besuchen.

Wir haben sehr lecker gegessen, Snirtjebraten und Labskaus. Hr. Schäfer ist super nett, und hat uns auch gut Einzelheiten zu den typisch friesischen Gerichten erklärt. Die Gaststube ist urig und gemütlich!!! Klare Empfehlung! Ein Erlebnis!

Essen ist gut, nur viel zu üppig. Man kann hier gut ostfriesische Gerichte bekommen. Das Ambiente ist eher dunkel rustikal gehalten, viel Holz vertäfelt. Es ist zwar sehr schön dekoriert mit alten Modellschiffen, Krügen, Tellern usw., aber an einigen Stellen haben wir Spinnweben entdeckt, der Boden war unsauber, hingegen Stühle, Bänke, Tische, Fensterbänke und Regale waren gut geputzt. Geschirr und Besteck waren ebenfalls sauber und ordentlich. Allerdings sollte man hier einen Tisch vorbestellen. Und man bekommt erst ab 17:00 Uhr warmes Mittagessen. Einen Besuch ist es auf alle Fälle wert, allein für das Ambiente und dem leckeren Essen

Ein Relikt: Bakelit (und Barzahlung) in Räumen wie von damals ( also <1980), aufmerksamer und kinderfreundlicher Service (Chefsache). Regionale Spezialitäten und die gut! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Danke!

Sehr leckerer Eintopf (Samstagmittag), uriges bzw. historisches Ambiente, netter Inhaber.

Ingolf ist eine Type! Das Ambiente ist wie nach Hause kommen: urgemütlich, wie ein Zeitsprung. Es lohnt sich, einen Tisch zu reservieren! Das Essen ist frische deftige Hausmannskost. Für uns gab es mehrfach Fisch und immer wieder Schnitzel Elsässer Art.

Zurückversetzt wie in Omas Zeiten. Uriges Lokal, freundlicher Wirt und beim Essen gab es nichts zu bemängeln. Wir (und die Gäste am Nachbartisch) hatten unsere helle Freude am Erkennen der Musikstücke aus den 50er Jahren. Ein 2. Besuch hat leider nicht geklappt wegen dem Ruhetag. Da müssen wir wohl noch mal nach Wangerooge kommen. 😁Schade das diese Kult-Location in 2 Jahren schließt und Wohnungen daraus werden.

Wie in einer anderen Welt, aber das Essen ist sensationell lecker.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Uriges Ambiente. Sehr freundlicher Service. Essen war schön heiß und genau richtig gewürzt. Fisch schön zart und saftig innen und außen knusprig. Die senfsauce war schön würzig. Sehr empfehlenswert. Auch Einheimische Essen wohl hier. Verbesserungsfähig wäre die Luftqualität, die bei vielen Menschen in der gaststube etwas schwach war. Der Rest hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Mal wieder auf der Insel und wieder in der Teestube. Die heimelige Atmosphäre empfängt einen, genau wie der Wirt, als wenn man nie weg gewesen wäre. Das Essen war perfekt, Preis Leistungsverhältnis, daher kann ich jedem nur empfehlen hierher zukommen.
