Very good atmosphere, the employees always ask how things are and if everything tastes good, the portions are medium sized but very tasty

We had reserved a table three days in advance and were seated right next to the entrance in the winter garden. It was incredibly cold. The food was perhaps average, but nothing more. The mussels tasted only of fennel. The burger came without any side dish (not even a lettuce leaf) for €23. The linguine was tasteless. The potatoes were watery. The worst restaurant on Wangerooge. The server was very unfriendly.

We came here with a reservation, but it wasn't a problem to change tables; the server was friendly and attentive. The drinks arrived quickly, and the food didn't take too long either. We ordered tagliatelle with salmon, tagliatelle with shrimp, and schnitzel. Everything was okay, not outstanding, but tasty! Including drinks, the total came to just under 100 euros.

The fries and kibbelings were greasy and soggy, making them inedible. The price is outrageous.

We went there twice for dinner during our vacation and were very satisfied. We would go back again. We just wish the sauces were a bit more extensive. 😉

Positive: Very nice service, very attentive and friendly. There's a smoking area and a non-smoking area outside. This is very pleasant for non-smokers. Unfortunately, we were otherwise unsatisfied. We ordered a garlic baguette as a snack to go with our drinks. It was, firstly, carelessly presented on a few wilted arugula leaves, and secondly, it was tough; it was definitely not fresh, but seemed like it had been refried from the day before, with a bit of garlic on top. It took almost an hour for us to finally get our proper food, apparently because of the burger one of us had ordered. We also had pasta twice, and the pasta was quite overcooked and far from al dente, presumably pre-cooked pasta that had been reheated in hot water. Accordingly, both sauces were very watery. Both pasta dishes were very bland in flavor. The burger was good, but the meat patty was too thick and very difficult to cut, probably not fresh or juicy either. The only thing that was truly fresh and very hot were the fries from the fryer. The price was also unpleasant: 1/2 liter of water in a carafe, presumably chilled tap water, not a bottle. Prices for water and mineral water were nowhere to be found. We paid €4.80 for each. Conclusion: not recommended.

Hell. The music is more club-oriented in terms of genre and volume. Vegetarian and vegan options were barely available, and the dishes advertised on the menu outside were, coincidentally, no longer available. The food we did get was expensive and mediocre. We wouldn't go there again.

The service was very nice. The food was good, but the mushroom sauce wasn't quite to my taste. The rest of the food was very good.

Warning: The drinks menu lists prices for 0.3 and 0.5 liter fruit juice spritzers. We ordered the 0.3 liter. We received a 0.2 liter glass. When we complained, we were told they didn't have any 0.3 liter glasses and that this was a misprint on the menu; in reality, they meant 0.2 liter, like the unspritzed juices. Of course, this isn't a misprint, because even two of the prices (0.3 and 0.5 liter) for the fruit juice spritzers are priced differently than for the juices. In the end, after a very clear protest, we were given a beer glass with the advertised 0.3 liter of juice for the price listed on the menu. Otherwise, the food was OK. I've had good meals here several times, but the claim of a misprint on the drinks menu is completely unacceptable.

An absolute dream location for our wedding! We celebrated our wedding with around 25 people at Düne 17 on Wangerooge – and it was simply perfect! Even the planning beforehand was uncomplicated, warm, and professional. Contact with Yannick was consistently pleasant, productive, and reliable. All agreements were met – and often even exceeded! On the day itself, everything was just perfect: The food was outstanding – fresh, creative, and of the highest quality. Our guests were also thrilled with the quality and selection of food and drinks. The service was consistently friendly, attentive, and professional – you had the feeling that the team truly enjoyed making our day special. Coordinating the decorations went completely smoothly. We were particularly impressed by how well the on-site team thought about and organized everything – many things happened naturally in the background, without us having to worry about anything. After dinner, we celebrated with music and dancing – this, too, was completely uncomplicated and warmly accompanied by the team. The atmosphere was relaxed, cheerful, and just right. We would choose Düne 17 as our wedding venue again anytime and wholeheartedly recommend it to any couple who wants to celebrate in a relaxed, stylish island atmosphere. Wedding reception at Düne 17. Simply perfect! The food, service, and ambiance are fantastic.

A large selection at tourist prices, with a tendency toward "good, home-style" or "German" fare. The quality is OK, but not great. The staff is friendly, but unfortunately not at all flexible, for example, if you want a small portion or a non-icy drink. I suspect this is due to the convenience food used and the lack of skilled staff in the kitchen. Smoking is permitted outside, as is the case everywhere in Wangerooge.

The schnitzel was delicious, and the rump steak was fantastic—unfortunately, the mushroom cream sauce wasn't my thing. The service was super friendly and prompt, but the prices were quite high.

We were here for two evenings. The first evening we had beef cheeks and the dune burger. Both meals were great! The cheeks were really tender, and there was plenty of gravy for the meat and mashed potatoes. An excellent, well-seasoned dish. The burger was also very tasty. The caramelized onions and the gravy – superb. The only complaint was the burger bun – it was very rubbery. I would have preferred the patty medium, but forgot to order it that way. The second evening, I originally wanted asparagus, but couldn't order it because they were already sold out. It wouldn't have been a problem if they had told us right away and not after we had already chosen the dish. So we had pasta. One was shrimp on pasta alio e olio and the spicy chili lime tagliatelle. Both dishes were OK, but could have been seasoned better. The Parmesan cheese costs an extra €3 and was unfortunately shaved rather than grated, which meant it didn't go well with the pasta dishes. The staff was very friendly, and you could sit on the terrace. Our conclusion: we'd be happy to come back for the meat dishes; they were great!

Four of us wanted to spontaneously go there for dinner – unfortunately, there were no free tables – so we slowly moved on. The very friendly waiter even walked a few meters behind us and said that if we waited a short while, a table would become available. So we got a table there and were able to enjoy some great food. Special dietary requests were immediately accommodated. The service was very friendly and personable. We'll be back!!!

After getting a good impression from Google, we went there for dinner today. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. I had a plaice fillet. My children had pasta, chicken nuggets, and fries. The plaice was completely flavorless. The potatoes were good. The menu only said "triplets," not regular potatoes. The salad was nicely presented. However, I would have appreciated more than a drop of sauce. The crunch could have been avoided by spinning the potatoes more thoroughly. The nuggets and fries were really good. My other son's pasta would have been al dente if it had been taken out about four minutes earlier. Since this didn't happen, you couldn't even pick it up with a fork. The tomato sauce was also rather flavorless. Considering the rather high price, expectations and reality don't match up.

Restaurant serving Frisian cuisine We came here for lunch. Getting a seat on the terrace was no problem in the off-season. The diverse menu made choosing difficult. We opted for a delicious Frisian herring dish with fried potatoes and salad. Accompanied by a cold beer, everything was perfect. The service was friendly and quick. The value for money was decent for Wangerooge. I would come back.

The food I ordered was very little and way too expensive for how little I ate.

Dune 17: Where culinary dreams come to nothing The "Düne 17" promised a cozy evening, but what came on our plates was more like a culinary sandbank on which any joy withered away. My plaice fillet, at least with a pinch of flavor, sailed alone on a sea of ​​dry potatoes. These side dishes tasted like they had crossed the Sahara without a saving drop of sauce to ease their drought. The salad dressing was a silent observer of this tragedy, calm and unobtrusive. My companion chose the “Düne 17 Burger”, a dish that set new standards in its dryness. The bun felt like a relic from days gone by, bone dry and crumbly. The patty appeared to be made from a pig that had not only lost its life but also all juiciness for a second time - a truly mummified piece of meat. The fries, for which you were asked to pay extra, presented themselves as hard-fried, over-salted sticks that had probably already spent several lives in the deep fryer. The "sweet onions" turned out to be ordinary onion rings that were drowned in a BBQ sauce that was far too dominant and lacked any sweetness. At least the staff was nice 😊 The price-performance ratio in the “Düne 17” is like a bad joke. For this culinary desert, where taste and freshness are in short supply, a price is charged that lacks any justification (€65). There is no cooking here, expectations are nipped in the bud here. A visit to "Düne 17" is an experience that you won't soon forget - unfortunately in a negative sense. Anyone who dines here pays the price for a lesson in culinary disappointment.

A visit to Düne 17 is more than just a visit to a restaurant – it is an experience! As soon as you enter you feel welcome, which is not least thanks to the uniquely funny waiter. Charming, attentive and with a keen sense of the guests' wishes - it simply doesn't get any better. An absolute eye-catcher (and probably a reason for many regular guests): the chef. a real culinary artist. Every dish is prepared to perfection - you can taste the passion! I can particularly recommend the Limoncello Sour – wonderfully refreshing, with just the right balance between sweetness and acidity. And anyone who loves wine will be delighted with the great selection: carefully put together, with some real surprises on the menu. Conclusion: Düne 17 combines style, taste and personality. I'll definitely come back - and bring friends with me!

Incredibly friendly and fun staff. We felt very, very comfortable. The food was wonderful. Everything was just perfect.

The concept of an interesting salad side dish is understood, but that of attentive service is not yet fully understood. The restaurant still has many tables available. Menu QR code was loose on the table. Information about the thinned out lunch menu was only given when we tried to order. We had to ask several times for the table to be cleaned, and bits of food that had been wiped away flew onto our clothes. The pre-cut lettuce already had rotten edges. Payment with Apple Pay/VISA was not possible. The terrace is now glazed.

An all-round successful store. Top service, Top food and in a nice atmosphere. Wasn't here for the first time and definitely not the last time either.

Anyone who asks where a service person manages to leave an entire restaurant looking bad can come to Dühne 17 on Wangerooge. I found him unfriendly and unprofessional. To answer a beer that isn't fully tapped that you should wait until the foam is gone. And after waiting patiently and realizing that the calibration mark has not yet been reached, to receive the answer that this is now the case... you can't find any words. The food was mediocre. In contrast to a restaurant nearby, Düne 17 was no comparison, but just as expensive. So I would advise against spending your evening there.

Kale (delicious) with smoked pork (only 1/2 slice) and cooked sausage (very dry). Very drafty place with definitely too loud background music.

We were there for dinner. Onion and fish soup as a starter were on point and super tasty. The Italian pork fillet and the vegetarian pasta both impressed us too. The pork tenderloin was just a little overdone, but still very tasty. The service was very friendly. So we'd love to come back!

"Big price, small food" - is the motto of this restaurant. This grill plate cost €29.90. Not even a child can get enough of it. In terms of taste, everything was mediocre. Service was slow and inattentive. One meal was forgotten and the other was delivered incorrectly.

It's better to reserve a table here for the evening. There's always a lot going on. We liked the food very much. However, there was a small deduction for the herring. The portion is quite small and the potatoes are not really salted. The rest was good so far. The staff were friendly but it took a little longer to get your drinks. But that's all manageable and you can have a really good dinner here.

Good morning Honest opinion Wiener Schnitzel very dry! Fries very limp and not cooked. Unfortunately no menages at the table. What actually goes with the meal has to be ordered separately and of course paid for. Service is OK. But in this price range you can expect more in a holiday resort. Thanks, but not again.

One thing in advance: the service staff was on the ball and friendly. Food was ok but nothing exceptional. The salad with chicken breast strips almost had more chicken than salad... But what is an absolute no go: charging €3.00 separately for a mini bowl (almost 3 heaped tablespoons) of parmesan and not pointing out when ordering that it is subject to a charge is a blatant tourist scam . I also reported this to the waitress, who unfortunately can't seem to do anything about the owner's business conduct. Wangerooge definitely has better restaurants

We got 1 menu for 4 adults and a toddler. It wasn’t particularly busy. Waiter got our drinks order wrong and when we pointed out that we ordered 2 beers and 2 non alcoholic beers not 3 and 1, he suggested we drink the alcoholic one we brought. On top of the Apfelshorle we ordered for her, when my wife gave our toddler some water we had brought the waiter said ‚„Das sehen wir aber nicht gerne.“ (If you have kids, you realise that restaurants generally serve freezing cold water.) I ordered the Spinatauflauf. I got a dish consisting of 40% random pasta, 20% Spinach and 40% bland, very salty cheese . The worst food I had in a while. The side salad for 7.50 was small and 98% lettuce with 3 slices of cucumber. The schnitzel and fish were alright. The sweet potato fries were burnt. The world would be slightly better if this place closed down.

Unfortunately, the food is cafeteria standard, the service is inattentive, and the prices are too high.

Location, location, location. Unfortunately that's not everything! Acceptable in a cafeteria or school cafeteria. Not in the restaurant anymore. Ketchup is charged extra for children. Certainly okay for “just” one drink.

We were there spontaneously in the afternoon, had a snack and drank coffee and cocktails. We liked the atmosphere and the drinks were delicious. So we stopped there again the next day. Now there was another lady in service. Our cocktails arrived after a long wait and were only half full. We asked politely several times why we only got half the drinks. These questions were simply ignored. After several complaints and about 30 minutes of waiting, during which we were simply ignored. We left. Absolutely not recommended. Rarely experienced such bad service!

We ate almost well. The portions can sometimes be a bit more generous. (The schnitzel with mushrooms for ~25€ is already steep) Otherwise there are no downward peaks, but no upward ones either.

We went there without a reservation and spontaneously got a table. There are great places outside, the inside area is okay but not that comfortable. The service was good, I would have liked to have been able to ask for new drinks once or twice. Unfortunately the food was just average! The spaghetti Bolognese doesn't deserve the name! It was pasta with canned tomatoes and minced meat. They had no taste and were watery! The pasta with homemade pesto was okay, but very oily and lacked flavor. We wouldn't come back to eat!

For the main course, my wife had "spinach gratinated" and I had "pasta casserole Alfredo", a gratinated dish with pasta, tomatoes and cooked ham. Both meals were seasonless and moderately warm. The spinach was clearly present. The cooked ham was tasteless but plentiful. The tomatoes were hot. There was some thin sauce in it. Too little for the tablespoon given to have any meaning. When I was studying the menu, I wondered why there weren't any (fried) potatoes on offer. But that was explained by the food. Here we don't cook and season the food, we just warm up pre-cooked food. However, Frosta food is much better. NEVER AGAIN!

Preis Leistung beim Essen passen nicht. Sehr unfreundliche Bedienung.

Es war eine Enttäuschung. Es war kalt in diesem halbdichten Glaskasten mit viel Laufkundschaft. Das Essen war absolut lieblos und dröge und dafür wirklich überteuert. Der Service war total unterbesetzt und dadurch unaufmerksam und vergesslich. Bei einer Imbissbude schmeckt es sicher besser und kostet keine 70 Euro.

Leider sehr schlechtes Essen , Nudeln schwammen im Wasser und es war definitiv keine Sahnesoße im Thunfischauflauf mit Sahnesoße ( so stand es in der Karte) und nach einer Reklamation bei der Kellnerin, die sofort in Küche ging, wurde sich darüber in der Küchentür laut lustig gemacht, vom Küchenpersonal, nicht von der Kellnerin, der war es unangenehm, noch dazu mußte ich den vollen Preis bezahlen ! Und das als WANGEROOGERIN ! Sehr traurig ! Nachtrag: man hat sich mit uns in Verbindung gesetzt !

Freundliches Servicepersonal. Die Bestellung wird zügig aufgenommen und allles zeitnah serviert. Geschmacklich war es für uns gut. Das Ambiente ist schön, aber es war im Innenbereich für unser Empfinden sehr frisch.

Wir haben auf der Terasse gegessen,was ganz gut war. Der Kellner war laut und hektisch, das Schnitzel in der Friteuse gegart. Alles in allem mittelmäßig.

Jedes mal, wenn wir auf der Insel sind kehren wir in die Düne 17 ein. Noch nie sind wir enttäuscht worden, im Gegenteil. Dieses Jahr allerdings waren wir von unserem bestellten Burger geschmacklich nicht überzeugt. Der Sevice war gut, die Bedienung gewohnt nett. In dem Ambiente kann man sich wohlfühlen, allerdings hat uns der übermäßige Essengeruch (fehlende Lüftung?) gestört.

Leckeres Essen, sehr freundliches Personal mit guter Laune.

Erster Eindruck: Das Personal wirkte gestresst und war sehr kurz angebunden. Ambiente: Innenbereich kühl, aber nicht unbequem. Der Außenbereich ist bei schlechtem Wetter und geschlossenem Wetterschutz total verqualmt, so dass nicht nur uns als Nichtrauchern der Appetit vergehen kann. Essen: Wenn man es geschafft hat, sich durch die total unübersichtliche Online-Menuekarte zu arbeiten (gedruckte Karte gibt's nicht) und eine Servicekraft auf sich aufmerksam zu machen, kommt das Essen recht schnell. Schnitzel ist lecker, wenn man Fertigschnitzel aus der großen Packung und Fertigsaucen mag. Convinience Food durch und durch halt, aber dabei zumindest gut genießbar. Einige Gerichte, die man auf Fotos im Netz so sieht, sind nicht lieferbar, einiges ist auch "heute aus" (18:00 Uhr). Preisniveau: Vergleichbar mit einigen anderen Restaurants in der direkten Nachbarschaft, also inselmäßig ziemlich hoch. Würden wir nochmal hingehen? Angesichts der Mitbewerber eindeutig Nein.

Wir waren mit dem Besuch der Düne 17 überhaupt nicht zufrieden. Bestellung nur mit einer digitalen Speisekarte ,was ich ziemlich unpersönlich finde. Im Urlaub möchte ich mein Smartphone mal auslassen, was hier ja leider nicht möglich war.

Moin, super schnelle und freundliche Bedienung. Das Essen war lecker, das Bier schmeckte nach mehr. Auch die Preise haben uns für ein Insel-Lokal positiv überrascht. Für Männer könnten die Portionen etwas größer sein :-)

Super gebratener Fisch aber sehr durchschnittliches Schnitzel & leider lätschige Pommes. Nette und zackige Bedienung. Die auuschliesslich Digitale Karte ist leider ziemlich unübersichtlich.

Leider gibt es keine Karten, nur online und dann extrem nervig gemacht, alles in Unterkategorien. Da vergeht einem schon beim Bestellen die Lust auf dieses Lokal….

Ganz schlechtes Preis-Leistungsverhähltnis. Sehr hektisch und dadurch unangenehm. Karte einzig über qr -Code und dann wird man auf eine Website gelenkt, wo man zwischen den Gerichten mit Werbung genervt wird. Das Essen ist sehr einfach zu Preisen, die eine Frechheit sind.

Tolles Lokal, wir haben jetzt 10 Tage lang jeden Tag dort gegessen, immer super. Das Preisleistungsverhältnis ist Top und das Personal immer gut gelaunt trotz Stress.

Alles super. Bedingungen waren auf Zack und locker. Das Essen hat bei jeden bestens geschmeckt und die Portionen waren gut. Jederzeit wieder!

Das Servicepersonal ist immer sehr freundlich und man bekommt, selbst bei voller Tischbesetzung, recht schnell seine Bestellungen. Das Essen ist immer lecker, bei dem gebeizten Lachs war es mir persönlich nur etwas zu viel Kümmel, ansonsten wirklich zu empfehlen.
