Restaurant Tauts in Bad Harzburg

We stayed for three days with half board in a round treehouse. It was super cozy. The breakfast and evening buffet were excellent, and the service was very friendly. We'll definitely be back.

We stayed at the Elvis Treehouse. We hadn't booked any meals the first evening, but it was no problem at all getting something in the restaurant. They even made us a small portion for the treehouse. For the second evening, we ordered a cheese fondue, and it was truly delicious. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and they even checked my allergies. It's rare to experience such friendly, wonderful service! A huge thank you again!

Wir haben im Rahmen unseres Hotelaufenthaltes im Restaurant zu Abend gegessen und waren enttäuscht von der Qualität der Speisen. Zunächst war es nicht, wie im Internet beschrieben, ein a la Cart Restaurant, sondern es gab Buffet. Kann man akzeptieren. Leider erinnerte uns das Essen eher an ein Kantinenessen. Es gab Gulasch, und Makrelenfilet und Rote-Beete-Bällchen, die geschmacklich wenig mit dem Wort „Genuss“ gemein hatten. Die Kellner waren sehr nett, konnten die Beschwerden der anderen Gäste aber auch nicht besänftigen. Wir können das Essen nicht empfehlen. Es entspricht nicht dem Preisleistungsverhältnis. Schade, dass die „Genussarchitekten“ nicht halten können, was der Name verspricht.

The ambiance was fantastic! The service was very friendly at the beginning, but became irritated towards the end. We were there with a large group, and opinions varied. The food was beautifully presented and some dishes were quite exceptional. The restaurant was very crowded, and there was a long wait. Overall, I expected more from a restaurant of this caliber.

Important: I am only reviewing the restaurant, not the hotel. We were guests at the hotel and ate a la carte here one evening. We had beetroot carpaccio as a starter, and vegetarian dumplings and a vegetable strudel for main courses. The food here is relatively expensive, especially for the Harz region. The main courses cost around €23. The food was unfortunately below average. The starter consisted of five slices of beetroot and a bit of balsamic vinegar, and the "avocado cream" was flavorless. The dumplings were homemade, but completely overseasoned with cumin, and the promised foam didn't come out. The vegetable strudel was essentially a mix of carrots and peas in puff pastry, which was placed in half a pumpkin soup. Unfortunately, the flavor was lacking. The wine was excellent, the service was great, and the ambiance with the view down onto the village was very appealing. But I don't understand why they try to provide fine dining when there are obvious shortcomings somewhere. I'd rather have better, more affordable home-cooked meals. We were definitely glad we hadn't booked half board.

We had an excellent evening at this fantastic restaurant! The service was outstanding and the food was simply superb; the chef definitely knows what he's doing! We absolutely cannot understand the few negative reviews; I'm afraid some people just don't appreciate good quality! Thank you so much for this wonderful evening; I couldn't have wished for a better menu for my 30th birthday. All the best to the team, who truly put in the effort.

Beautiful ambiance and very friendly service. Unfortunately, I didn't really enjoy the food, and the portions were quite small for the price. A shame.

Tauts war eine hervorragende kulinarische Erfahrung mit einem Flair von Eleganz. Die Ingridienzen waren traditionell, aber die Kompositionen und Präsentationen waren modern, innovative und einfach überraschent. Service und Personal waren professionell und traditionell und liessen nichts zu wünschen übrig. BRAVO!

Only bad ! Long waiting times, unfriendly service

A very nice restaurant with a wonderful ambiance. There's a plentiful breakfast buffet. A good selection of fruit, cheese, yogurt, muesli, jam, and sausage. The hot breakfast included boiled eggs, scrambled eggs, bacon, meatballs, mini bratwurst, and mini wieners (alternating). Bread, rolls, croissants, and cakes were also available and tasted very good. In the evening, we had a four-course meal. Everything was freshly prepared. It tasted as good as it looked. The staff in the morning and evening were very attentive and extremely friendly. We really enjoyed it.

The kitchen makes an effort and it shows. Thanks for that. The service is ambitious and attentive. Thanks to the nice and friendly lady with the black curly hair. Any time.

Eine klare Empfehlung für das abendliche Dinner. Ein wirklich umfangreiches Angebot an schmackhaft zubereiteten Speisen. Besonders zu erwähnen sind die Fischzubereitungen.

Ich halte mich mal kurz: absolut leckeres Essen, toller Service und gute Preis. Großes Extralob an Fr. Poller für die familiäre Betreuung unseres Juniors. Wenn wir an unseren Urlaub denken, werden wir uns primär an Fr. Poller und das tolle Restaurant erinnern. Wir sehen und wieder! Seeeeeehr bald 😄

Abendessen zu viert a la carte. 18 Uhr Tischreservierung ging in Ordnung. Service war zwar bemüht, jedoch das reicht manchmal nicht. Drei-Gang-Menue zog sich zwei Stunden hin! Suppe war mit einer Haut bedeckt. Vegetarisches Curry war extrem scharf und leider so nicht auf der Speisekarte gekennzeichnet. Für Familien mit Kindern oder hungrigen Gästen sind die langen Wartezeiten nicht zumutbar, zumal das Haus und Restaurant nicht vollbesetzt waren.

Die Januar Wild Action war wirklich lecker. Dazu das schöne renovierte und dennoch "alte" Ambiente und eine sehr nette Bedienung. Preislich völlig in Ordnung. Tolle Umgebung zum leckeren nicht alltäglichem Speisen.

Ein wirklich schöner Abend mit der Familie. Super leckere Januar-Aktion. Wir waren zu fünft „Wild essen“ und sind mehr als begeistert. Das Fleisch war butterzart und die hausgemachten Serviettenknödel einen Nachschlag wert. Schön, dass es ein Restaurant gibt, wo so viel Herzlichkeit gelebt wird und obendrein das Essen so lecker ist! Meine Empfehlung: dieser leckere Rosé-Wein.., Wir kommen gern wieder.
