Easily the worst Indian food I’ve ever eaten. Ordered the butter paneer and it had the consistency of water and was very bland. Also ordered a garlic naan and got a plain naan instead. Only positive was the quantity, there was a lot of food at least. But would have given up some quantity for quality.

I dont know why there are so many negative comments. The staff was nice (maybe not smiling all the time, but polite) and the food was tasty! It is one of very few restaurants in the area, so we appreciated it very much.

Never before have I been treated so rudely before ordering. When asked if the table could possibly be cleaned, there had been people waiting for some time, the man ran his hand over the table and wiped away some crumbs, and was very surprised that we did not think this was style, we also had a can choose another table? The food in this place is exquisite, the mango lassi is one of the best juices I have ever drank.

We recently dined at Taj Restaurant, and unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired. Both the food and the service fell short of expectations. The service, in particular, was a major letdown. The staff were unpolite and unprofessional. When we called to make a reservation, the staff member abruptly cut the call, forcing us to make multiple attempts to secure our booking. Additionally, the staff struggled to communicate in German, which made the process even more frustrating. When we asked for food recommendations, the response was rude and dismissive. We ordered Biryani and Chicken Karahi, Biryani both dishes was extremely oily and lacked flavor. The excessive oil made it difficult to enjoy and left an unpleasant aftertaste. The spices in both dishes were undercooked, failing to bring out the intended flavors and making our meal uncomfortable. There was also a noticeable lack of originality in the food, which tasted bland and uninspired. Overall, our visit to Taj Restaurant was quite disappointing. Given the poor service and subpar food, I cannot recommend this restaurant to others.

Delicious food, lots of choice and very nice staff.

The food is really good! The chef does the best job in the restaurant! Offer burgers, pasta, pizza and of course Indian food. I can particularly recommend the Indian dishes. The service is sometimes very hard, but when it gets busy you often have to wait too long for it. We were there three times in three days and it was a roller coaster ride in terms of service, but the food was good and the price was also difficult to agree with. Very kindly meant 4 stars, because if they can manage the service and work on the ambience a bit, the restaurant is absolutely recommended.

For our stay, a group of around 100 people, every thing was just fine. Considering our journey (11-th day on the road) everything was just fine.

I only had limited time here but the food was very good and authentic. I appreciated the speed of service, and the portions were perfect. Not too much, not too little. I left at a happy fullness. If you’re in the area, try it out. I had the butter chicken, rice, and naan, as well as a chai. The Chai was a little lackluster but that’s ok, the food made up for it.

Indian restaurant. We went here for dinner three times during our stay in Munich. The decor of the restaurant is rather simple. Indian music is playing in the background. The menu is very varied. There are burgers. We ate it, it was really big and tasty and freshly prepared. There is also pizza, which we ate too. The pizza was large in diameter, over 30 cm. The pizza base was perfectly thin and crispy but not dry. Of course you should try Indian food in an Indian restaurant. It is very tasty and appetizing served in small pots with basmati rice. It tasted very tasty. The service is pleasantly friendly and polite. We can fully recommend the restaurant. Price-performance ratio is top. We would come back to eat here at any time. The meals were very tasty and plentiful. --

Indian restaurant with good cuisine and quick service. The furnishings are functional, but that's okay too. There is a separate page with vegetarian dishes. Personally, "spicy" was too mild for me, but that's an extremely subjective thing and it's easier to add more seasoning than to make it milder. Upon request, fresh chili in oil was brought to me quickly and easily. The naan bread with garlic deserves its name and is also very tasty. Maybe don't order it if you want to be around people that day and like them. ;) The portions are plentiful! Price-performance fits!

Have ordered there many times and for me personally it is the best Indian food I have ever ordered and eaten in the area. Quality is always the same, food arrives hot and the staff is always friendly.

We order here very often and are completely satisfied every time. Delivery is quick, the staff on the phone are always friendly and the food is hot and delicious. I can't say anything about the ambience on site, we generally always have the food delivered or pick up the food. We've tried other Indian restaurants but so far none have come close to the taste of Taj. For us, definitely the best Indian in the entire area!

I can't believe the food was so good

The food was good. Came warm and fresh too. The catch lies in the organization. Ordered via their own website. You will also receive an order confirmation with a calculated waiting time of 45 minutes. After waiting for 2 hours, we called and found out that our order hadn't even been processed yet. The food came after a total waiting time of more than 2.5 hours without any excuse...

We ordered food today, but unfortunately it wasn't a hit, I have to say. We ordered butter chicken and it was spicy, I know it from several restaurants and suppliers without spicy. We called and complained, the lady on the phone just said sorry and immediately hung up. Unfortunately, the service isn't even worth a star because the driver didn't bring it up, we had to pick it up downstairs and they didn't speak any German, but English. I can't judge the ambience so unfortunately only 1 star for it.

I’d better choose to eat with pickle rather than eating with curry I have no idea ,how some of the folks have rated it with 5 star .This food is not worth of 1 star as well. Ich habe im Lokal auf das Essen gewartet ( habe zum Mitnehmen bestellt) und für einen Arbeitskollegen ein Gericht und einen Radler bestellt und für mich ein anders Gericht und Mangolassi. Dann kam ein Radler und ein Glas Mangolassi und ich war zufrieden. Dannach kam aber das Essen und eine 1,5L ( Cola-flasche) mit Mangolassi zum Mitnehmen. Überraschung pur ;) Das Essen ist gut, es haut nicht aus den Socken, Aber es ist ganz ok. Das Ambiente ist auch ok... simple, standart aber der Service und die Menschen machen die Magie aus. Das ist der Grund wieso ich da nicht das letzte mal war.

Super leckeres Essen, wir hatten Ente, Hühnchen und vegetarisch von der indischen Karte, es hat uns voll überzeugt und preislich auch völlig im Rahmen.

Ordered food at home. We ordered a vegetarian gravy and 3 different naan breads. The most tasty item on the plate were the onions that we had freshly cut. Wow. While eating we figured out the exact recipe of the gravy and the breads. For the gravy , they added small quantities of raw cheese and peppers to tomato juice with a hint of salt and spices, the breads were more simple....just open the packet and unevenly cook on a pan for 30 seconds....serve raw. Ultimately, my wife gave up despite the hunger (extreme hunger is the only reason we think of ordering food here anyways), and went on with a cold sprout salad. My suggestion - for the curry , rewe and edeka have ready to cook packs, just use those. Would improve your dish by atleast a 100 times. A German grocery store can provide better curry base than a so called Indian restaurant. Good times. As for the breads, your best bet is to cook it fully. Final word, what you serve is not Indian food, I understand that you have to alter the recipe according to the local palate, but you took it to a whole new level. Thanks! PS - Some people have somehow given a 5 star rating and called it authentic Indian food. It isn't.

We discovered this place whilst looking for vegetarian friendly restaurant during stay in nearby hotel for Munich visit. Many vegetarian dishes they have on menu. EDIT after second visit: first time round we found service good and visited again. However, this time they declined to serve tap water citing not having permission. I have never found single restaurant not offering this if asked! Portion size is quite reasonable but very disappointed with paneer based curry, lots of gravy and only few pieces of paneer. Dal tarka was good though. Naan could have been better if bit softer. Overall, a average indian cuisine restaurant whilst there is very little choice in the area.

Wir waren 2 mal dort, weil es fußläufig vom Hotel erreichbar war. Die Cheeseburger waren gut, allerdings war die Portion Pommes sehr klein. Das Wiener Schnitzel allerdings war unterirdisch. Kaum Fleisch zwischen der Panade, trocken und geschmacklos. Der Beilagensalat ohne Dressing und die Pommes kaum sichtbar auf dem Teller. Das Chicken Masala war geschmacklich in Ordnung, allerdings mit wenig Fleisch. Der Service hat sich sehr bemüht und war freundlich. Wir werden hier nicht mehr hingehen.

Ontzettend lekker gegeten. Ze hebben wat gewone maaltijden. Beetje Duitse eten en een ontzettend lekkere Indiase gerechten. Volgens onze zoon een dikke 10/10.

Worst veg biryani ever tasted. It was just fried rice with basmati rice with mixed vegetables with a lot of oil. Waste of 13,90 EUR Tandoori chicken masala - Horrible, Boiled chicken with tomato paste mixed. Rip off for 15 EUR. Horrible dinner overall after tiring touring day in the center of Munich.

Sehr leckeres Essen, große Auswahl. Nette aber leider sehr langsame Bedienung, besonders bei Getränken.

Leider nur einen Burger und Pommes gegessen, die waren ok. Die wirklich typische Küche kann ich deshalb nicht beurteilen.

Kaum besucht, deshalb(?) ging es auch sehr schnell mit meiner Bestellung. Der Kellner sehr freundlich, alles unkompliziert, wie es für ein Lokal dieser Preisklasse auch sein muss. Das Essen war sehr solide indische Kost - scharf wie immer auf mitteleuropäisch abgemildert, doch die Aromen haben gestimmt. Die Portion war so groß, dass ich gut satt geworden bin. Alles in allem eine Empfehlung wert! Ich wünsche dem Taj viel Erfolg und dass sie sich in der umkämpften Gastroszene möglichst gut halten können.

Sehr ruhige Lage. Die Suppe war sehr lecker und der Cocktail war auch prima. Sehr gut um dem Abend ausklingen lassen. Personal war sehr freundlich 😉

Das Essen war sehr lecker, reichhaltig und die Portionen waren auch sehr ordentlich. Der Kellner war aufmerksam und schnell. Getränke auch sehr gut. Wir hatten überhaupt nichts auszusetzen.

Essen was super lecker, Service war sehr gut und nett. Wenn ich wieder in der Nähe bin würde ich sehr gerne noch mal dort essen.

Das Restaurant ist preislich relativ günstig. Das Essen ist aber leider eher mittelmäßig und nicht so aromatisch indisch gewürzt wie man es sonst vom Inder kennt. Der größte Minuspunkt ist aber die Wartezeit. Es dauert alles sehr lange. Es gibt nur eine Bedingung und offensichtlich nur eine Person in der Küche.

Not better food needs lot of improvement We have ordered Butter chicken, Karahi Panner and Baingan bharta. Veg curries were not properly cooked. Ginger and garlic raw smell were retained. It felt like Chef left home already? As we have been entered at 1930. Butter chicken was not excellent. Naan was soft and rice cooked properly. Service was good. Owner came to our table and asked is everything fine? Ambience and location is excellent.

Früher war das ein super Restaurant mit sehr leckerem Essen. Mittlerweile ist es nur noch enttäuschend, was man geliefert bekommt. Die heutige Bestellung war dann ausschlaggebend, um hier zukünftig nicht mehr zu bestellen. Essen bestellt und bezahlt kurz nach 18 Uhr. Beim Restaurant um 19:30 Uhr angerufen, weil Essen immer noch nicht da ist. Als Antwort hieß es, dass die Bestellung über deren Website nicht angekommen ist und ich doch bitte nochmal bestellen soll. Geld wurde über PayPal abgezogen, aber Bestellung angeblich nicht erhalten. Das war unser letztes Mal bei Taj.

Herausragend leckeres Essen, große Auswahl an den klassischen Indischen Gerichten, Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist ebenso sehr fair. Schönes Ambiente, freundliche und schnelle Bedienung. Auf jeden Fall ein Besuch wert!

Mochte das Taj eigentlich mal ganz gerne, aber die letzten Male war es einfach nicht mehr gut. Tut mir leid, wir werden hier nicht mehr bestellen.

Wir wurden vom Eingangsschild angelockt, das mit einer versprochenen Cocktailbar einlädt. Cocktails sind auch auf der Speisekarte, gibt es aber laut Bedienung nicht. Kaffee gibt es auch keinen, die Kaffeemaschine sei schon seit 1 Woche defekt (Gut zu wissen!). Die Speisen lassen qualitätsmäßig zu wünschen übrig. Portionsmenge bei einigen Gerichten nicht preisgerecht. Für ein indisches Restaurant ist das Essen meiner Meinung nach viel zu schlecht gewürzt. Nächstes Mal werden wir leider einen großen Bogen um das Restaurant Taj Dornach machen. Schade!

Guter Inder mit leckeren Cocktails. Wir hatten vier unterschiedliche Indische Gerichte von Lamm, Huhn und Ente und es war gut. Für 4 Personen mit dem Cocktails, Wein und jeweils Naan Brot rund 93 Euro ohne Trinkgeld bezahlt. Update Dezember.2022: Die Küche ist leider schlechter geworden und das Liefern war zweimal eine Katastrophe (mehr als 2 Stunden das letzte mal gewartet). Leider. Meine alte Bewertunng von 2019 war noch bei 5 Sterne.

Das gelieferte Essen war geschmacklich eher Kantinenniveau. Ging in den Mülleimer. Nicht nocheinmal.

Wir haben ewig auf das Essen gewartet. Um 12:50 Uhr haben wir bestellt und erst gegen 14:40 unser Essen erhalten. Nummer war nicht erreichbar. Fahrer war unhöflich und spricht kein deutsch. Essen war nicht besonders lecker. Mein Essen war scharf, obwohl es nicht als scharf gekennzeichnet ist. Das von meinem Mann hat überhaupt nicht geschmeckt. Wir werden dort weder nochmal bestellen noch würden wir dort vor Ort essen! Das schlechteste indische Essen, das wir jemals gegessen haben!!

Wir haben gegen 19:15 Uhr bestellt. Nach 1,5h Stunden Wartezeit fragten wir nach, wo unsere Lieferung bliebe. Die Aussage war, der Fahrer sei bereits unterwegs. Weitere 40min später riefen wir erneut an und fragten nach. Hier wollte man uns erneut vertrösten auf 20min. Wir entschieden uns dafür, selbst zu fahren und das Essen abzuholen. Dort erfuhren wir, dass der Fahrer unser Gericht noch nicht einmal in das Auto geladen hatte. Das Essen kann man nur als durchschnittlich bezeichnen. Es gibt aber in der Umgebung wesentlich bessere und vor allem zuverlässige Lieferdienste. Uns werden sie nie wieder sehen.

3 Stunden gewartet. 19:00 bestellt 22:16 angekommen. Essen kalt. Lieferant unhöflich, spricht unverständlich, kein deutsch

Decent Indian food, restaurant located inside the Ibis budget hotel in a tech park. The food was freshly prepared but, as common in Germany, rather mildly spiced. Naan was a bit flat for my taste. Interior decor is an odd mix of rustic (wood log stacks) and color-changing LED lights

Viel Auswahl an Restaurants in dieser Ecke gibt es nicht. Der erste Eindruck passt eher zu einem Schnellimbiss, der klassische Character indischer Restaurants ist hier eher spärlich und auf den zweiten Blick vorhanden. Umso positiver überrascht waren wir dann, denn das Essen ist reichtlich und extrem gut, kann mit unserem heimischen Lieblingsinder locker mithalten! Und absolut zu empfehlen sind die Cocktails!

Das Lokal lebt davon im Nirgendwo zwischen Hotels zu liegen. Das Essen ist ok, nicht wirklich gut oder herausragend. Der Außenbereich ist nicht viel sagend, Beton im Betonumfeld. Der Service ist gut und hier hat die Chefin das Sagen.

Wir waren zum Mittagessen. Nette Bedienung, geschmacklich gut, relativ grosse Portionen. Es werden Sodexo Gutscheine akzeptiert.

Wat hebben wij lekker gegeten! Beiden een voor-, hoofd- en nagerecht. Alles was erg goed van smaak. Bediening was erg vriendelijk. We konden met dit warme weer prima buiten zitten. Het terras, vlakbij een rotonde is niet super gezellig, maar er is in ieder geval genoeg te zien. Ondanks de ook aanwezige minder goede reviews wat ons betreft een echte aanrader!

Echt tolles indisches Essen. Wir haben beide Butter Chicken mit Reis bestellt und dazu das Butter Naan Brot. Würze und Schärfe on Point. Daher verstehe die paar negativen Bewertungen gar nicht. Die Bedingungen war ebenfalls top. Schade dass wir auf Durchreise sind . Sonst würden wir definitiv wieder kommen .

Das Essen war durchschnittlich nicht zu Frieden stellend… das Naan-Brot leicht verbrannt und das Ambiente sehr dunkel. Ich würde diesen Inder als den bisher schlechtesten ausschreiben, in welchem ich bisher in München war.

Wow, where do I start!? Amazing staff and service. I am originally from the UK and live in Hamburg. I always find it hard to find an authentic Indian restaurant. Well, I now have a "go to" in Munich. Authentic, super portions and very reasonably priced. I was here on a bank holiday and there was a very good trade which is always a super sign.Thank you.
