Aufgrund der vielen positiven Rezensionen sind wir hergekommen. Wir hatten nicht reserviert, hatten jedoch Glück dass ein Tisch für uns frei war. Der Service war sehr nett und aufmerksam. Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Portionen mehr als ausreichend groß. Bei Gelegenheit kommen wir sehr gerne wieder.

Ich verstehe beim besten Willen nicht, warum dieser Laden nicht brechend voll ist. Das Essen ist so gut, dass man leicht zu viel isst und den Nachtisch verpasst. Wenn ihr mal in Dornoch seid, solltet ihr dieses Restaurant unbedingt besuchen.

Das Münchner Schnitzel ist hervorragend, besonders mit extra scharfem Senf. Auch die wechselnde Speisekarte bot bei beiden Besuchen köstliche Alternativen. Freundliches Personal und wunderschöne Lage.

Essen soweit in Ordnung. Leider Kartenzahlung erst ab 35 Euro. Das ist sehr schwach, zu mal der Nachbar Tisch schon bei 29 Euro mit Karte zahlen konnte. Man sollte mal mit der Zeit gehen.

Durchweg okay. Die Essensauswahl war gut, geschmacklich solide, aber nicht überragend. Die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen – hat zwar einen gewissen Charme, könnte aber moderner sein, ohne diesen zu verlieren.

Ein typisches Gasthaus zum Wohlfühlen, die Mitarbeiter waren sehr nett. Wir waren 2 x während unseres Urlaubs hier essen. Die Portionen waren ordentlich bis recht groß und haben sehr gut geschmeckt.

Unsere Essensbestellung wurde schlicht vergessen, nach über 45 Minuten mal nachgefragt ob wir denn noch etwas bekommen… Obwohl der Kellner mehrfach am Tisch vorbeigegangen ist. Lauwarme Entschuldigung es käme in 3 Minuten, weil vom Kollwgen vergessen - hat dann nochmal fast 15 Minuten gedauert. Und wirklich lecker war es nicht. On top wurde dann noch genau neben uns lautstark die Tische & Stühle umgruppiert. Eine Entschuldigung zum Abschluss, beim Zahlen? Weder in Worten noch in einer anderen kleinen Geste. Der Weg zu den Toiletten nicht sehr schön. Die Toiletten schmuddelig, es fehlten die Papierhandtücher. Na ja…

Absolut hervorragendes Essen und fantastischer Service!! Ich bin für ein paar Nächte wegen einer Messe in München hier… und komme ganz sicher wieder!!!!

Erstklassige Küche nicht nur bayrisch - auf Nachfrage auch rumänisches Menu - wir kommen wieder und sind überwältigt von dem zuvorkommenden Personal, Geschmack und Qualität. Vielen Dank wir werden wieder kommen!

Tolles Gasthaus mit leckerem Essen ! Das Cordon Bleu mit Obazda war lecker . Das war Personal sehr freundlich . Sehr zu empfehlen !

Ein authentisches deutsches Familienessen! Wir bestellten Cordon Bleu, aber es war viel zu viel. Die Knödel waren gut, erinnerten mich aber an riesige Gnocchi. Das Prime Rib 1A war ebenfalls gut. Das Schweinesteak hatte ein fantastisches Grillaroma und dazu gab es leckeres Kartoffelpüree. Vom Apfelstrudel hätte ich gerne noch etwas mehr gehabt. Der Kellner war sehr zuvorkommend, besonders zu unserer Gruppe, die kein Deutsch sprach. Alles in allem ein großartiges Abendessen!

Typisch bayerisches Restaurant, ausgezeichnetes und reichhaltiges Essen, aufmerksames und freundliches Personal. Empfehlenswert.

Bei meinem ersten Besuch in Deutschland war ich sehr gespannt auf die Küche, und dieses Restaurant hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Das Essen war köstlich und sättigend, und der Service war exzellent. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder und kann es wärmstens empfehlen.

Das Essen war von hervorragender Qualität, köstlich und reichlich – ein rundum gelungenes Erlebnis, das uns so gut gefallen hat, dass wir gleich zweimal wiedergekommen sind.

Großartiges bayerisches Essen! Wir hatten Putenschnitzel, Wiener Art und Schweinebraten, und beides war hervorragend. Das Schnitzel war außen knusprig und innen butterzart – das beste Putenschnitzel, das ich je gegessen habe. Der Schweinebraten hatte ebenfalls eine knusprige Kruste und war sehr lecker. Auch die Pommes waren perfekt knusprig und sehr schmackhaft, obwohl es Steakhouse-Pommes waren. Der Service war ebenfalls tadellos und sehr aufmerksam. Alles in allem verdiente 5 von 5 Punkten.

Schneller Service, freundliches Personal, leckeres Essen und eine große Auswahl. Ich freue mich schon darauf, wiederzukommen und etwas Neues von der Speisekarte zu probieren.

Sehr leckeres und großes Cordon bleu - auch der Beilagensalat (klein) war groß und außergewöhnlich gut. Bedienung war fix und freundlich..Das Ambiente war wie man sich einen bayerischen Gasthof vorstellt. Für mich gibts nichts zu beanstanden.

War heute Abend mit einem Freund dort und wir hatten ein XXL-Schnitzel. Es war sehr gut, freundliches Personal und guter Service, absolut empfehlenswert! 👍

Ein wunderschönes Restaurant mit einem traumhaften Garten. Das Essen ist hervorragend. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und kompetent. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Die Rechnung wird dem Besitzer und nicht dem Kellner in Rechnung gestellt.

We were a group of 15 on a business trip. The food was good, traditional fare and the portions were generous. Excellent value for money. Service was quick and the Kaiserschmarrn was outstanding.

The cordon bleu was the best I've ever eaten! A huge portion. The service was extremely friendly and attentive. Respect, an absolute insider tip for Munich! Just look at the photos – amazing.

The food was good as always, and there was a huge amount. It was my first time here alone, and I noticed that card payments are only accepted for amounts over €35. That's unacceptable these days. Edit: I've reduced my rating to one star. My review was reported by the owners for defamation. Thankfully, brazenness doesn't always pay off :)

I can’t say anything other than go and try it yourself! Gausthaus Butz offers incredible flavors, warm hospitality, and a truly authentic dining experience that will leave you wanting to return again.

Exceptionally good. Unfortunately, it's a rarity these days. The XXL cordon bleu is expensive, but it's perfectly fine for two.

It is overrated place in terms of food quality and especially communication with their guests. I ordered beef burger and burger bun was stale. The burger patty wasn’t juicy and was overcooked, while the greens and vegetables were old and tasteless. I do NOT recommend this place especially for foreigners. Lastly, the guy who serves at the bar was shouting me “go to your country!”, of course I did not listen him:) poor guy. If the owner of the place reaches me, I could give much more detail but I do not think that he/she wonders. Anyway, you should stay away..

We ordered the XXL schnitzel and beer, which were delicious. I'll definitely go back with my family next time. I'm so sorry I didn't realize there were restrictions on credit cards, but the owner was so kind and agreed to let me pay the next day. Thank you for your trust, especially in a foreign country where I don't speak German. It was a heartwarming experience. We'll definitely be back.

What a wonderful secret I am happy to share. I stumbled upon this restaurant while in Munich for the day. It was a 10 minute walk from my hotel. The walk itself was nice. The service at Gasthaus Butz was very welcoming and quiet. When the food was served I was pleased with the presentation. The taste was even better. The fish was delicious. I was wowed at the freshness and taste of the spinach and potatoes. I highly recommend this beautiful restaurant.

We ended up at Butz because of a layover in Munich that was unplanned. The hotel directed us to visit this restaurant for dinner with a German cuisine and it was fantastic! We were with my 1 year old daughter and they were so accommodating.

We arrived at this delightful authentic Bavarian establishment for lunch, to be warmly greeted by the proprietor. We chose two dishes from the lunch menu that proved to be exceptional quality and value. The Offenfrisher Schweinebraten was juicy, flavoursome and accompanied by crispy pork crackling, gravy and a coleslaw salad. Yum! The Jaeger Schnitzel with Spaetzle proved to be just as good and we barely managed to finish the substantial servings. There was just enough room for coffee and to share an Apfelkuchle, which was quite honestly the best part of an amazing meal. We highly recommend the Gasthaus Butz and the attentive and friendly proprietor.

My wife and I went to this restaurant based on the good reviews. The waiter was terribly rude and unfriendly. However, after this poor service, a waitress came and served us very politely, so we stayed. When we paid the bill, we received excellent service from the employee who collected the bill. For this reason, we are not giving it a one-star rating. The food and drinks were excellent.

Should have been a great experience as the service was nice and a good environment. But the three of us in the group that ate the Cordon Bleu all suffered really bad stomach issues afterwards. I appreciate we were a large group and the kitchen would have been rushing but something wasn't right. Update - I have been asked to revise the review by the restaurant because we suffered due to eating food that can only be tolerated by Germans. However, the only three colleagues that suffered were the three people eating this particular dish. And all of us are German or have lived in Germany for many years. It was a great evening in a lovely restaurant with nice service. But something went wrong.

The moment we stepped into the restaurant, we knew we were in for something different but we didn’t expect amazing. The atmosphere and staff were incredible but, most importantly, the food was some of the best food I’ve had anywhere. The Bavarian sample platter for two had an amazing selection of Bavarian dishes: roast pork, pork neck steak with onion rösti, original Nuremberg bratwurst and original Wiener veal schnitzel, with potato dumplings, fried potatoes with bacon, apple red cabbage and bacon coleslaw.

I was alone, which was not appreciated. Most tables were nice, except the one I was shown to. It wad by the kitchen’s fans. I asked to change but got a No! They were supposedly fully booked, but during my 1hr stay, there were loads of small and large tables available. Oh! And don’t ask for info about the menu - the guy looks at you with a question mark in his face (I spoke German).

A very cozy little place. We walked in with seven people, and they even had a nice table outside for us. Delicious food, fast service, and not expensive at all. It's also a very cozy place to sit! Highly recommended! Large portions! Delicious.

A quick visit to the small beer garden. Extensive daily specials and a la carte menu. The food was delicious. The Wiener Schnitzel (pork), turkey schnitzel, and spare ribs were all very, very tasty. Large portions. Highly recommended. We'd love to come back. Free parking on the street/side street.

A lovely pub garden with a strange clientele. Communication is difficult, as the service staff only speaks broken German. The word "Maß" (measure) is completely unfamiliar. The blaring pop music from the loudspeakers is unbearable. Definitely not recommended.

We spontaneously went there on Wednesday. Fast service, almost very good food (the schnitzel tasted of nothing), and the rest was great, including the roast pork. We'd gladly go again.

Great restaurant. Great service, friendly, and competent. The food is truly delicious and the portions are very generous, and the prices are reasonable.

The goat cheese salad had only balsamic cream as a dressing, but the goat cheese itself was very generous and well browned. There were three of us there, and we were asked to pay even though two of us had still eaten. The beer garden is actually very nice, but the music was constantly playing.

Wie so oft, der Hunger rief und wir entschieden uns für die Einkehr in diesen Gasthof. Parken war kein Problem und beim Eintreten begrüßte uns die ein wenig rustikal und etwas durcheinander wirkende Wirtsstube. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Die bestellten Speisen Schweinebraten aus der Wochenkarte 12,50€ kam zügig. Die Portion entsprach nicht dem auf Werbung im Außenbereichen abgebildet Bild. Eine Scheibe Braten, ein Knödel und Weißkohlsalat. Die Fleischqualität war so so der Geschmack der Sauce und des Knödels auch nicht 100%… schade. Ich meine wir sind satt geworden,aber es fehlte am Geschmack und Qualität. Kartenzahlung erst ab 20€ möglich.

Today I went to Butz with my friend for the first time. I'd only known the inn from cycling past. We both had the Butzschnitzel and were very satisfied. It's wonderful that the lovely hosts serve Augustiner beer. We're already looking forward to our next visit.
