Good Service, Fast, Asome Food!

Cozy inn, great service and very good food 👍

What a wonderful secret I am happy to share. I stumbled upon this restaurant while in Munich for the day. It was a 10 minute walk from my hotel. The walk itself was nice. The service at Gasthaus Butz was very welcoming and quiet. When the food was served I was pleased with the presentation. The taste was even better. The fish was delicious. I was wowed at the freshness and taste of the spinach and potatoes. I highly recommend this beautiful restaurant.

We ended up at Butz because of a layover in Munich that was unplanned. The hotel directed us to visit this restaurant for dinner with a German cuisine and it was fantastic! We were with my 1 year old daughter and they were so accommodating.

We arrived at this delightful authentic Bavarian establishment for lunch, to be warmly greeted by the proprietor. We chose two dishes from the lunch menu that proved to be exceptional quality and value. The Offenfrisher Schweinebraten was juicy, flavoursome and accompanied by crispy pork crackling, gravy and a coleslaw salad. Yum! The Jaeger Schnitzel with Spaetzle proved to be just as good and we barely managed to finish the substantial servings. There was just enough room for coffee and to share an Apfelkuchle, which was quite honestly the best part of an amazing meal. We highly recommend the Gasthaus Butz and the attentive and friendly proprietor.

My wife and I went to this restaurant based on the good reviews. The waiter was terribly rude and unfriendly. However, after this poor service, a waitress came and served us very politely, so we stayed. When we paid the bill, we received excellent service from the employee who collected the bill. For this reason, we are not giving it a one-star rating. The food and drinks were excellent.

Should have been a great experience as the service was nice and a good environment. But the three of us in the group that ate the Cordon Bleu all suffered really bad stomach issues afterwards. I appreciate we were a large group and the kitchen would have been rushing but something wasn't right. Update - I have been asked to revise the review by the restaurant because we suffered due to eating food that can only be tolerated by Germans. However, the only three colleagues that suffered were the three people eating this particular dish. And all of us are German or have lived in Germany for many years. It was a great evening in a lovely restaurant with nice service. But something went wrong.

The moment we stepped into the restaurant, we knew we were in for something different but we didn’t expect amazing. The atmosphere and staff were incredible but, most importantly, the food was some of the best food I’ve had anywhere. The Bavarian sample platter for two had an amazing selection of Bavarian dishes: roast pork, pork neck steak with onion rösti, original Nuremberg bratwurst and original Wiener veal schnitzel, with potato dumplings, fried potatoes with bacon, apple red cabbage and bacon coleslaw.

I was alone, which was not appreciated. Most tables were nice, except the one I was shown to. It wad by the kitchen’s fans. I asked to change but got a No! They were supposedly fully booked, but during my 1hr stay, there were loads of small and large tables available. Oh! And don’t ask for info about the menu - the guy looks at you with a question mark in his face (I spoke German).

A very cozy little place. We walked in with seven people, and they even had a nice table outside for us. Delicious food, fast service, and not expensive at all. It's also a very cozy place to sit! Highly recommended! Large portions! Delicious.

A quick visit to the small beer garden. Extensive daily specials and a la carte menu. The food was delicious. The Wiener Schnitzel (pork), turkey schnitzel, and spare ribs were all very, very tasty. Large portions. Highly recommended. We'd love to come back. Free parking on the street/side street.

A lovely pub garden with a strange clientele. Communication is difficult, as the service staff only speaks broken German. The word "Maß" (measure) is completely unfamiliar. The blaring pop music from the loudspeakers is unbearable. Definitely not recommended.

We spontaneously went there on Wednesday. Fast service, almost very good food (the schnitzel tasted of nothing), and the rest was great, including the roast pork. We'd gladly go again.

The goat cheese salad had only balsamic cream as a dressing, but the goat cheese itself was very generous and well browned. There were three of us there, and we were asked to pay even though two of us had still eaten. The beer garden is actually very nice, but the music was constantly playing.

Wie so oft, der Hunger rief und wir entschieden uns für die Einkehr in diesen Gasthof. Parken war kein Problem und beim Eintreten begrüßte uns die ein wenig rustikal und etwas durcheinander wirkende Wirtsstube. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Die bestellten Speisen Schweinebraten aus der Wochenkarte 12,50€ kam zügig. Die Portion entsprach nicht dem auf Werbung im Außenbereichen abgebildet Bild. Eine Scheibe Braten, ein Knödel und Weißkohlsalat. Die Fleischqualität war so so der Geschmack der Sauce und des Knödels auch nicht 100%… schade. Ich meine wir sind satt geworden,aber es fehlte am Geschmack und Qualität. Kartenzahlung erst ab 20€ möglich.

Small beer garden, large restaurant. Delicious food, fast, friendly, and attentive service. The icing on the cake would be if the XXL schnitzel were cooked in clarified butter (hence one star less). The homemade schnapps at the end was also delicious. I "fear" I've found a new favorite restaurant for Bavarian cuisine. The price/performance ratio is fine for me.

Today I went to Butz with my friend for the first time. I'd only known the inn from cycling past. We both had the Butzschnitzel and were very satisfied. It's wonderful that the lovely hosts serve Augustiner beer. We're already looking forward to our next visit.

I don't want to be too polemical, but a very unpleasant place. Very arrogant staff and very "country" management. Little food and very high cost.

We were simply not welcome. Two people, shortly after 5 p.m., and there were only one table with guests. We were seated in the farthest corner. The Bavarian platter for two was lukewarm to cold. It tasted okay, though. No one else came for another drink. At the counter, I asked for some more sauce, as the bowl wasn't big enough for us. They confirmed it with a "very welcome," but unfortunately, no one else came near our table. I would have liked to order a nightcap, but then a larger group came in, and we were completely forgotten. Unfortunately, this was far from good, home-style hospitality. Perhaps the place is only for locals.

Ok for a pub but the price-performance ratio is no longer as good as it was before Corona.

Eigentlich wollten wir nach München, aber es war etwas spät geworden und so sind wir spontan ins Gasthaus Butz in Aschheim gefahren. Das war auch bayrisch Ur -Gemütlich. Es gibt eine gute Auswahl bayrischer Schmankerl und einen recht guten italienischen Wein. Wir hatten 4 x Wiener Schnitzel, wahlweise mit Spargel oder Bratkartoffeln. Ich fand 45 € für ein Kalbsschnitzel mit Spargel und Kartoffeln und ein Glas Wein etwas teuer, muss aber zugeben, dass ich vor 2 Wochen in Berlin das selbe bezahlt habe. Also insgesamt gut.

Super nice boss. After ordering so many times through Lieferando, I got my dinner for free today. Very tasty. Small salad with creamed schnitzel!!! ❤️

The food was so-so. I've had better schnitzels. The breading wasn't that great. Considering the quality, the food could have been €2-3 cheaper. However, the quantity lived up to its XXL description. The staff was friendly.

Really enjoyed my meal here! The Putenschnitzel was crispy, tender, and not too heavy – just right. Tried both the Augustiner Helles vom Fass and Hefeweissbier – both were fresh and paired perfectly with the schnitzel. Chill vibe, nice service, and great place to relax with good food and beer. Would definitely come back!

Locale fuori monaco, molto semplice. Personale cortese e veloce. Abbiamo mangiato piatti tipici. Molto molto buona la carne, agnello top. Ben cotta. Birra a volontà. Prezzo onesto.

Price and quality are far apart... Average food at the prices of a star kitchen. Nothing about the food justifies the very high prices P.S.: It's a shame to respond like this, especially in private, to a comment about the price/performance ratio (see attachment). Very good food, pleasant atmosphere, impeccable service. We forgot to make a reservation, but even though it was Saturday night and the restaurant was full, they were nice and found a table for us. The portions are large, the food is freshly cooked and very tasty. The prices are fair.

In principle it's a shame to only give 2 stars because we really enjoyed the food. However, one waitress didn't take being honest with us so seriously and lied to our faces without batting an eyelid. There were four of us at the Gasthaus Butz on Saturday evening - we had reserved a table for 6.30 p.m. and were looking forward to a cozy evening. The drinks were served quickly and a short time later the delicious food was in front of us. After dinner another beer or espresso, everything seemed perfect. Shortly after 8 p.m. a waitress came to our table and said we would like to pay and leave. We generally only reserve tables for 1 ½ hours. In addition, a lot of trade fair visitors have just come - they now need our seats. My objection that if the tables can only be reserved for 1 ½ hours, it would be appropriate to inform the guests in advance when making the reservation, remained unanswered. She just asked us when we planned to leave and when the table would be available. Our answer: In the next 10-15 minutes, the score was passed 1:1 to the waiting guests. “Please wait a moment. A table will be available in the next 10-15 minutes.”….Tables can generally only be reserved for 1 ½ hours…. Well, we had finished eating, our glasses were empty in front of us. But nevertheless, it is cheeky to simply lie to the guests. She could have been honest and said that there were guests waiting and she was happy to have a free table. Since we only had something to drink anyway, they could have asked us if we would like to sit at the bar instead. As an apology/compensation, 2 espressos were not included in the charge. All in all, they could have saved themselves this action. Because: 1. We will not come back again. 2. A negative review online 3. 2 espressos without billing 4. No tipping 5. Less than 10 minutes later, more tables became available and the waiting guests could easily find space. ….gone stupid….

It's a quaint restaurant. The waitresses were all very nice. The portions are all very large, so everyone should be satisfied here. I had the Jägerpfanne which was very tasty and I can recommend it to everyone. The pork schnitzel was very large as a normal portion (see picture). Two sizes were delivered, but they were extremely thin and some of them only had breading on the outside. Here it would perhaps be better if the schnitzel was of normal size and a little thicker. Otherwise, the other dishes, for example the platter for 2 people, were very good.

I was there in June 2023, it was my first time in Bavaria. Enjoyed the local food.

A steep price for paper napkins, but the rest of the ambiance is the real deal. The staff are very attentive and quick to fulfill any customer wishes. The beer is cold and the food is exactly as you'd hope with a presentation that proves they have an eye for detail. I'll definitely be back, hopefully soon.

Romanian restaurant only if you ask for it ;) they have two menus - German and Romanian with different dishes. All very tasty especially papanasi and mamaliga.

A family restaurant where from the moment you enter you feel the warmth of a traditional home with smiling people who cook food with a Romanian soul for everyone's taste! The portions are very large and the dessert is divine.
