Heute Salat mit Putenbrust bestellt. Der war sehr sauer und ich informierte den Service darüber. Er nahm den Teller mit, obwohl ich schon einiges vom Salat gegessen hatte und brachte mir einen neuen Salatteller wie bestellt und entschuldigte sich für die Unannehmlichkeit. Das hatte ich garnicht auf dem Schirm, wollte nur Bescheid geben. ich gehe nun schon seit 50 Jahren hier essen und ich kann nur sagen: Daumen hoch für alles, wofür man einen Daumen hoch geben kann. Vielen lieben Dank.

Fast 25 Jahren wir nicht mehr. Das Balkan Restaurant gleich geblieben. Ohne Voranmeldung! Gut klimatisiert (37Grad) und pers vom Chef bedient. In Höchst am Schlossplatz wollte um 21 uhr niemand mehr kochen, also hierher. Tintenfisch 🐙frisch, Balkanplatte 🥩deftig und Cevapici. Bier 🍻 kühl (vers Sorten) Alles lecker zubereitet und locker serviert. Die Atmoshäre ☁️ war gut, die restlichen gäste und wir waren froh um die gekühlte temperatur. 3 personen mit Getränke 73 euro 👍 Wir kommen wieder - aber nicht erst in 25 Jahren……😎

Das Essen war ungenießbar, der Service eine Katastrophe. Die Angestellten beschimpften und beleidigten sich gegenseitig vor den Gästen. Zu allem Überfluss berechneten sie uns den doppelten Preis, angeblich weil das so üblich sei, ohne uns vorher zu erklären. Eine wirklich schlechte Erfahrung – nie wieder!

Das Essen ist Perfekt, Preis Leistung ist ausserordentlich gut. Gehen da Jahrelang mit der Family hin.

Sehr gutes Essen preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt man muss nicht lange warten. Seit Jahren, die gleichen Servicekräfte, die ihren Job sehr gut machen, aber an den Sitzgarnituren könnte man ein bisschen was machen zum Beispiel neu auf Polstern, aber ansonsten sehr zu empfehlen, wenn man jugoslawische Küche mag.

Ich komme schon seit vielen Jahren hierher. Essen schmeckt wunderbar, Preise sind ok. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich.

Waren heute Essen, wie immer sehr lecker, bei der Rechnung gab es eine Diskrepanz von ca.10€ zu hoch , da wir mit Karte gezahlt haben ist es erst Zuhause aufgefallen, da wir keine Rechnung sondern nur einen Zahlungsabschnitt bekommen haben. War dann enttäuschend, werden ab sofort immer eine Rechnung verlangen, schade...

Eine Institution! Da kann man nichts falsch machen!

Wer auf stabile kroatische Küche mit der zu erwartenden großen Portionen steht ist hier richtig. Hatte den Grillteller, alles lecker, bis auf das Dönerfleisch. Gibt vieles auch in mittagspausentauglichen Portionen, also etwas kleiner. Service neutral, Ambiente etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Verlässliche Qualität, seit gefühlt ewig, war dort schon vor 30 Jahren....

Das Essen ist eine wirklich große Portion, aber etwas salzig.

Alles gut. Nur mich stört es das die Grillplatten mit Schweinefleisch gemacht werden. Wer kein Schweinefleisch verzerrt kann nichts vom Grill nehmen.

Eine ruhige und angenehme Gaststätte. Das Essen war gut schmackhaft und auch preiswert. Das war heute unser erster Besuch und bestimmt nicht der letzte!

In jedem Fall stimmt das Gesamterlebnis – was man bekommt, wofür man bezahlt und was man sich vorstellt – in dieser Einrichtung perfekt überein. Alles in allem: großartig, herzlichen Glückwunsch!

Ich war im Restaurant Stadt Höchst essen und war insgesamt sehr enttäuscht. Bereits beim Betreten musste man durch eine dichte Rauchwolke, da im Erdgeschoss eine Raucherkneipe ist. Jedes Mal, wenn unten die Tür geöffnet wurde, zog kalter Rauch in den Essbereich – sehr unangenehm. Am Tisch angekommen, waren Flecken und Haare auf der Tischdecke. Der Vorspeisensalat war zwar frisch, jedoch in einem Fertigdressing ertränkt, das extrem sauer geschmeckt hat. Als Hauptgericht gab es Jägerschnitzel (aus Pute) mit Pommes und Butterreis. Die Jägersoße wirkte wie eine fertige Pampe und hat auch genau so geschmeckt. Das Schnitzel war trocken, die Pommes nicht knusprig. Der Butterreis — der meiner Meinung nach überhaupt nicht zu diesem Gericht passt — war noch der beste Bestandteil. Zum Nachtisch hatte ich einen Walnussbecher. Der war in Ordnung, konnte die insgesamt schlechte Qualität des Essens aber nicht mehr retten. Zusammengefasst: Das Restaurant wirkt insgesamt nicht mehr zeitgemäß und die Qualität liegt deutlich unter dem Durchschnitt. Für mich leider maximal 1 Stern.

Ich gehe gerne dort hin, aber bei meinem letzten Besuch war das Fleisch noch zu hart. Werde gelegentlich noch mal das Lokal aufsuchen und dies vortragen.

Mein absolutes Lieblingsrestaurant. Ich genieße jedes mal die Balkanspezialitäten wenn ich wieder in Frankfurt zu Besuch bin. Früher sind wir hier mit meinen Kumpeln im 2 Wochen takt reinhauen gegangen. I love it und Preis-Leistung ist mega.

Ein herrlich gemütliches Restaurant mit leckerem Essen zu mehr als angemessenen Preisen - was will man mehr?! Eine Institution im schönen Höchst, die man einfach kennen muss!!!!

Wir kamen als Touristen; einer von uns spricht Deutsch, was sehr hilfreich war. Das Essen war köstlich, und das Restaurant war sehr schön und gemütlich mit einer tollen Atmosphäre. Das einzige Problem ist, dass sich die Bar im ersten Stock befindet und dort geraucht werden darf. Der Rauch zieht die Treppe hoch, was die Tische neben dem Treppenhaus sehr stört. Der Service war durchschnittlich, obwohl die Bedienung freundlicher sein könnte. Als wir die Rechnung verlangten, standen 73 € auf dem Konto, berechnet wurden uns aber 83 €, von denen wir nur 63 € zurückbekamen. Als wir uns beim Kellner beschwerten, sagte er: „Wir haben die Limonade und das Eis vergessen.“ Wir verlangten die Rechnung erneut, und sie belief sich auf 63 €. Wir rechneten schnell nach und sagten: „Nein, es sind insgesamt 73 €.“ Der Kellner weigerte sich, uns etwas zurückzugeben und war sichtlich verärgert. Also gingen wir zur Bar, wo man uns 10 € zurückgab. Das war eine wirklich ärgerliche Situation, die in einem so guten Restaurant nicht passieren sollte.

Was mitgenommen fisch Platte für 2 Personen aber sehr wenig und schlechte essen niewieder.

1976 bis 1981 war ich Stammgast . Endlich war ich heute mit meinem Sohn dort. Alles wie damals , Essen super lecker . Ambiente gemütlich. Service nett und zuvorkommend . Wir kommen gerne wieder

There were four of us there in the evening. The ambiance is like something out of the 70s. Not exactly pleasant. The waiter was also quite old and gave off the vibe of, "Oh, more customers." To put it mildly, the food was awful. The meat was charred black without any seasoning, the fries were soggy, and the djuvec rice was mushy. The iceberg lettuce consisted of one tomato wedge and one slice of cucumber. It had a ready-made dressing. I stopped eating after about a quarter of it. The only positive thing: we didn't have to pay for two of our meals. But that doesn't change the fact that we will definitely not be visiting this restaurant again. After all, I go out to eat to have a nice evening.

Spend 2-3 euros more on the food; then the meat might be better.

This was my first time there, recommended by a friend. In 10 years in Germany, it was the first time I'd eaten well, abundantly, and at a great price. At the end of the meal, I also enjoyed a truly excellent hot drink (about 40% alcohol) on the house!

The food is getting worse and worse every year. After lunch, my stomach hurt all day.

We had a lovely meal there, everything was great. But today I wanted to reserve a table for 20 to 25 people. Nope, it was fully booked. And the man on the phone just hung up. I couldn't even make a reservation with him. I'm going to complain to the owner.

We were a bit disappointed, however, with the service at the end: Since we couldn't tip this time, we felt like the waiter didn't even thank us for our visit or say goodbye. That was a bit of a disappointment, as not everyone always has the opportunity to tip – even if you really appreciate the food and the visit. Overall, though, a highly recommended restaurant with excellent cuisine!

This establishment has been in operation since 1976 and offers the same menu. You know what to expect, and I've enjoyed visiting it since I was a child. My children now appreciate this tradition as well.

The restaurant was called on 14.03 in order to reserve food for the communion which is on 24.05, it was agreed, they said that there was no problem and it would be written in the book, a few days before the communion we called the restaurant again to make a note for the communion, however the person on the phone said that the boss and the book were not there, that the dishes had already been reserved for someone, but that they would check if anything could be done... Two days before the communion they called and said that they could do nothing about it. Now we have to make arrangements two days before even though every restaurant is full. Shame on you!

If you want to eat inexpensively and deliciously, the Restaurant Stadt Höchst is in good hands. Also super large rooms for celebrations. There is a bar in the lower area where you can smoke and you can also eat here if the smokers don't bother you. The first one mentioned above is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users due to the old construction and can only be reached via stairs. Food: I can recommend the Genghis Khan sword for 4 people. Bring hunger😅. Anything you can't manage you can take with you. This means that valuable food is not wasted. The place is very clean and the toilet area is also well maintained. You can also combine it with a visit to the castle.

Been going there irregularly for years. Always delicious and good food, at a really good price. The portions are generous and well seasoned. Even if you are early, you will not simply be turned away but will be warmly welcomed. Really recommended and worth a visit.

I ordered food to pick up. I was so listless and unfriendly on the phone that I felt like I was just interrupting the end of work. Then apparently both of my cards didn't work, and card payments only started from €20? I had to withdraw cash from the bank to pay. The waiter was also quite unfriendly. My cards still worked perfectly in 2 stores. I guess I wanted cash instead and that's why I didn't even turn on the card reader. Sorry, but if you are so unfriendly and then want to take the guest for a fool, then that is unacceptable. I've known the restaurant for 25 years and have eaten there many times, but you don't have to put up with something like that! Never again

I've known the restaurant for over 25 years now and I find it impressive how some things just never change. The consistent quality of the food and service have never disappointed me. What I found very pleasant on my recent visit was that the menu had drastically reduced in size. It always seemed very overloaded to me before, but now it's a good size and there are still enough dishes on it. Anyone who is in Höchst, likes sumptuous grilled food and appreciates a beautiful, simple ambience should not pass by here without further ado!

The four of us went to the restaurant for the first time following a recommendation. First we sat down on the ground floor and ordered drinks. Only then did we realize that the smoking area appeared to be downstairs. Since we didn't want to eat in Rauch as non-smokers and only then noticed that the "non-smoking restaurant" was on the 1st floor, we asked to be allowed to move around. This wasn't a problem on the ground floor. We were kindly informed that we only had to pay for the drinks, as the floors had separate cash registers, but that we could take the drinks upstairs with us. In the meantime, my partner had requested a table for 4 people on the 1st floor. Already then he noticed the unfriendly tone of the waiter. When we sat down at the previously assigned seat, the waiter yelled at us that we already had drinks. If you were down, you should stay down. At this point we pointed out that we were pregnant and that we didn't know it. We were then actively ignored for at least (!) 10 minutes. After a hand signal like a verbal request to be allowed to order, the aforementioned waiter came and told us that because of us there would be no room for a group of 4 people that had now arrived. It wasn't until I asked the waiter if he would prefer if we left, we don't want to be treated like that and the service is so absolutely disastrous, that our order was typed in almost reluctantly. Later his colleague was sent to our table to bring the food. The food itself was good. However, it took some time for the mood at the table to improve again. I recommend better internal communication, possibly a sign that the downstairs is exclusively a smoking area and generally better treatment of guests. I have never (!) experienced anything like this. We certainly would have ordered a second drink upstairs. After this speech, however, we lost the desire to spend more money than necessary. It's a shame that a lovely evening in a generally good restaurant will be remembered so negatively... and that because it cost just under €16.
