This establishment is a staple in Frankfurt Höchst! The staff are always very friendly, and the food is always perfect! We've been going there for years.

Nice, cozy atmosphere, and a huge selection of dishes. Very friendly service.

The food was really delicious, though a bit small, actually. Three croquettes with the schnitzel aren't exactly worth the money. Otherwise, a really nice restaurant with friendly service.

Cozy, air-conditioned restaurant, very friendly service, and delicious food. Menu changes are usually possible, but not always on holidays or when the house is full. That's understandable! Reservations are recommended for events with larger groups or on holidays.

This establishment has been in operation since 1976 and offers the same menu. You know what to expect, and I've enjoyed visiting it since I was a child. My children now appreciate this tradition as well.

The restaurant was called on 14.03 in order to reserve food for the communion which is on 24.05, it was agreed, they said that there was no problem and it would be written in the book, a few days before the communion we called the restaurant again to make a note for the communion, however the person on the phone said that the boss and the book were not there, that the dishes had already been reserved for someone, but that they would check if anything could be done... Two days before the communion they called and said that they could do nothing about it. Now we have to make arrangements two days before even though every restaurant is full. Shame on you!

If you want to eat inexpensively and deliciously, the Restaurant Stadt Höchst is in good hands. Also super large rooms for celebrations. There is a bar in the lower area where you can smoke and you can also eat here if the smokers don't bother you. The first one mentioned above is unfortunately not suitable for wheelchair users due to the old construction and can only be reached via stairs. Food: I can recommend the Genghis Khan sword for 4 people. Bring hunger😅. Anything you can't manage you can take with you. This means that valuable food is not wasted. The place is very clean and the toilet area is also well maintained. You can also combine it with a visit to the castle.

Been going there irregularly for years. Always delicious and good food, at a really good price. The portions are generous and well seasoned. Even if you are early, you will not simply be turned away but will be warmly welcomed. Really recommended and worth a visit.

I ordered food to pick up. I was so listless and unfriendly on the phone that I felt like I was just interrupting the end of work. Then apparently both of my cards didn't work, and card payments only started from €20? I had to withdraw cash from the bank to pay. The waiter was also quite unfriendly. My cards still worked perfectly in 2 stores. I guess I wanted cash instead and that's why I didn't even turn on the card reader. Sorry, but if you are so unfriendly and then want to take the guest for a fool, then that is unacceptable. I've known the restaurant for 25 years and have eaten there many times, but you don't have to put up with something like that! Never again

I've known the restaurant for over 25 years now and I find it impressive how some things just never change. The consistent quality of the food and service have never disappointed me. What I found very pleasant on my recent visit was that the menu had drastically reduced in size. It always seemed very overloaded to me before, but now it's a good size and there are still enough dishes on it. Anyone who is in Höchst, likes sumptuous grilled food and appreciates a beautiful, simple ambience should not pass by here without further ado!

The four of us went to the restaurant for the first time following a recommendation. First we sat down on the ground floor and ordered drinks. Only then did we realize that the smoking area appeared to be downstairs. Since we didn't want to eat in Rauch as non-smokers and only then noticed that the "non-smoking restaurant" was on the 1st floor, we asked to be allowed to move around. This wasn't a problem on the ground floor. We were kindly informed that we only had to pay for the drinks, as the floors had separate cash registers, but that we could take the drinks upstairs with us. In the meantime, my partner had requested a table for 4 people on the 1st floor. Already then he noticed the unfriendly tone of the waiter. When we sat down at the previously assigned seat, the waiter yelled at us that we already had drinks. If you were down, you should stay down. At this point we pointed out that we were pregnant and that we didn't know it. We were then actively ignored for at least (!) 10 minutes. After a hand signal like a verbal request to be allowed to order, the aforementioned waiter came and told us that because of us there would be no room for a group of 4 people that had now arrived. It wasn't until I asked the waiter if he would prefer if we left, we don't want to be treated like that and the service is so absolutely disastrous, that our order was typed in almost reluctantly. Later his colleague was sent to our table to bring the food. The food itself was good. However, it took some time for the mood at the table to improve again. I recommend better internal communication, possibly a sign that the downstairs is exclusively a smoking area and generally better treatment of guests. I have never (!) experienced anything like this. We certainly would have ordered a second drink upstairs. After this speech, however, we lost the desire to spend more money than necessary. It's a shame that a lovely evening in a generally good restaurant will be remembered so negatively... and that because it cost just under €16.

Consistently high quality for over 40 years: Extremely delicious Balkan cuisine, meat dishes tender and juicy, extremely seasoned, the Duvec rice is optimally aromatic, the whole thing is served quickly, in large portions and in a friendly manner. One of the very few restaurants in the Rhine-Main area where you can eat and drink really well for two people for under 40 euros and leave not only full but also extremely satisfied! Always my pleasure! The only point of criticism: To get to the restaurant on the 1st floor, you have to pass the disgustingly smelly smoking bar on the ground floor, whose stench unfortunately also wafts upwards. So it's better to book a seat at the back of the restaurant!

Maybe we just had a bad day: the restaurant was very busy, there were only 2 waiters. They weren't exactly friendly - probably because of the stress. The food came quickly, but was neither really hot nor good. My schnitzel was very tough. The portions were very large, but unfortunately that's not all that matters.

It's a mystery to me that this store still exists. Drunk waiter who had to take a nap in the middle of lunch service. It was difficult for him to speak...At least you got what you ordered...It doesn't seem like it's the first time he's worked in this situation. A menu that is WAY too big... anyone who thinks a little about logical work processes in the kitchen will quickly realize that most of the food in this store goes from the freezer into the microwave or deep fryer. I didn't even dare to order anything. The sight of the plates from the next table was enough for me. Anyone who likes bad service and old frying oil is in good hands in this shop...

The restaurant is rustically furnished and typically seats 4-6 people, but there is also enough space for birthdays or larger celebrations.

Very nice restaurant. The non-smoking area is on the first floor and the smoking area is downstairs on the ground floor. Croatian cuisine. The lamb and liver were perfect. Toilets are on the first floor. A bus stop is right in front of the restaurant. You can therefore also take public transport, as the parking situation is very difficult. The smoking area could do with some renovation. Otherwise nice staff.

Rarely have I experienced such poor service, to be honest never. If you want to eat for little money without any pretensions, this is the right place for you. Large portion of the finest frozen food, paired with non-existent service but cheap. Starter, soup and main course were served together, so the main course was cold. Mass instead of class, the restaurant fits very well with the Höchst district and its clientele. This pub wouldn't stand a chance in the city. Bon appetite.

What can I say about this wonderful restaurant. You have a choice of a smoker or non smoking which I find practical. I am pleased to say on the menu there is something for everyone and I am being honest when I say it's all delicious. Give it a try and you won't be disappointed.

According to the internet, the restaurant is open all day. Unfortunately, it is only on site that one can discover that this is not the case. There is a sign saying hot food from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. But when you come up the stairs you see a new sign lunch break from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. This could have been noted online.

Three boys who met again after years wanted to spend a nice evening in the city of Höchst like in old times, actually nothing has changed much, the food is still the same as it was years ago, no change in taste, so really good. In principle, Ajvar is no longer served, only upon request and then for a fee, hello, that always belongs on your plate when you order Pljeskavica or Cevapcici!!! Answer: no, we only serve upon request because some guests don't like it!!! Weird ketchup and mayonnaise are free??? But well, that's just how it is. Otherwise, I can't really complain, but the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff leaves a lot to be desired, after our glasses were almost empty, the waiter walked past our table several times and wouldn't have even thought of asking if we were still there Want something to drink, nope, they ignored us. I have to say it's a bit sad. Of course it could be that the supervisor had a bad day, but sorry, they want to earn money and are dependent on guests, so please be more friendly, even if it's difficult from time to time.

The atmosphere is from the 90s and could also be revised. The service was there, but it wasn't overly nice. "What would you like? Thank you." That's it! The food was good, but there was no Slivovitz on the house. A pity. Conclusion: One guest less! But it doesn't seem to be a problem either. According to the waiter, it is up to each waiter who gets Slivovitz on the house.

A typical Balkan restaurant as we know it from before. Food with good taste, large portions and at reasonable prices - despite Corona and inflation. Keep it up. there aren't as many as you left!

I have known the restaurant for exactly 30 years now and although I have lived up to 500 km away for over 20 years, I really enjoy coming here whenever I am in Ffm. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable, the service is good, the ambience is very old, but that's what makes it so charming: here, people value the food, not the chic. Thank you for your constant hospitality for so long.
