For us, this is one of the best Greek restaurants we've tried so far.

I highly recommend this restaurant. The service is very friendly, and I even got a table for dinner on a Saturday without a reservation. Parking is also available.

I was looking for a good restaurant nearby and found one. The positive reviews made me curious, so I reserved a table. A restaurant with a feel-good factor, a great atmosphere and decor. The menu is clear, and the prices are really reasonable... The food was excellent; I have no idea when I last had such good Greek food. We'll be back, because we were very impressed. Best ☀️

While passing through, we spontaneously stumbled upon this restaurant with top reviews on Google. Luckily, we got a very nice table even without a reservation. The service was very polite and attentive from the start, and the ambiance in the dining room is extremely tasteful. A culinary highlight was my wife's sea bass – absolutely fantastic! My tomahawk steak was also perfectly prepared and a true delight.

Honestly, this is a great restaurant, you can't ask for more. Everything is just right here. A fantastic ambiance. Inside and outside, everything is very well-kept and comfortable, yet also modern. The clean and modern restrooms are also worth mentioning. The waiters and the entire service are absolutely top-notch. Everyone here knows their stuff and is extremely friendly and accommodating. The menu and wine list leave nothing to be desired. The food arrived quickly, hot, and was beautifully presented. Of course, it tasted great, and the relatively large portions will satisfy even the hungriest. Kudos to the kitchen. Combined with the easy reservation, the reasonable prices, and the ample parking right outside the door, which isn't the norm everywhere these days, that's a real treat. It's okay, but there's not even a bit of salad with the dishes anymore, and my little rice was afraid to sit in the relatively large bowl. If you order fries with it, you'll get a better portion size.

A little tip led us to the Sparta Restaurant in Altenburg – and our expectations were completely met. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff is extremely friendly and attentive. The dishes are prepared to a high standard and beautifully presented. We particularly liked the fact that the portions aren't overly large, but just the right size to enjoy. A special surprise for us was the rhubarb prosecco – new to us and absolutely excellent! We will definitely recommend you and look forward to returning soon.

We came here quite by chance. At first, I thought... ah, an allotment association. But I was pleasantly surprised: the service, the food, the atmosphere... it was everything. If we're ever in Altenburg again, we'll definitely be back. ♥️ Thank you for the wonderful time with you. ♥️

The food was delicious for my family. My antipasti plate was tasty, but a larger selection would have been great. For example, there are so many Mediterranean vegetables, tzatziki, and other dips, all of which are only available in small portions for sampling.

People, people, people We stopped by here today and were very pleasantly surprised. A very nice place, both inside and in the spacious outdoor area. Very clean and tidy, spacious, and excellently equipped. The entire staff is very friendly, attentive, and courteous. The menu offers a huge variety, and there's something for everyone. The value for money is top-notch. The dishes are beautifully presented and extremely tasty. I highly recommend you come and see for yourself and let yourself be surprised and pampered. Reservations would be a good idea. It's definitely worth it.

I've been going to Sparta regularly for many years and all I can say is that the food tastes fabulous! I love the Bifteki!! And this Metaxa sauce 🤩 But everything else tastes good too! The service is very friendly and quick, and in between you are often asked if everything is OK... and it is. The rooms and toilets are very well maintained. It's nice to sit outside. It's cozy and sheltered. Just go and enjoy.

Unfortunately the gyros was very dry, like the humor here at the table. Minus point, too bad. Otherwise the food tasted very good. Plus point, delicious delicious. Now to the ambience: fantastic! The 3 same pictures of the boat on the sea were fantastic. I would classify it as expressionism. Beethoven would be proud. Oh no, he makes a lot of noise. My mistake. The light flickered too much. I haven't been to Sparta for probably 8 years. As soon as I entered I was totally amazed, such a great ambience, the muted, cozy light, everything is very open, but that doesn't detract from the great atmosphere. The staff is incredibly courteous and on the ball, and the owner is also totally authentic, open and warm. The food was great, and the wine list in particular leaves nothing to be desired. All around a successful concept. Keep it up.

Ambience nice. It promises a lot but in the end it's just Greek food. It was ok but not earth-shattering, but on nice plates. To be honest, we would have expected a little more given the presentation. E.g. fresh herbs in food like thyme or something like that. Just a little more imaginative.

The Sparta Restaurant is an upscale Greek specialty restaurant. The atmosphere is comfortable, inviting and, above all, always clean. The staff is always at the guest's side with advice and support, charisma and friends and always implement the guests' wishes. If there are problems, the staff tries to solve them quickly and conscientiously. All we can say about the food is that it is simply delicious, fresh and, above all, clearly prepared. They always say that the eye eats with the eye and at Sparta you realize that the guest is really king. We ourselves have now become regular guests and will continue to be so. The team itself is well coordinated in the organization. Even during stressful rush hours, the team doesn't let their guard down. Everyone is well organized and structured. You're doing a great job, stay the way you are. There are no points of criticism to be expressed here. If I were to give more than 5 stars then I would.

Very tasty food (I had the vegetarian burger with sweet potato fries). The portion was large, taking leftovers with you is no problem. We sat very comfortably and people checked regularly to see if we needed anything else. Prices are a little higher, but in my opinion absolutely justified for the size of the portions.

Unfortunately our table wasn't ready when we arrived and we had to wait at the entrance instead of enjoying the wait with an aperitivo at the bar - it's a shame that drinks can only be ordered at the table. However, the food was great, especially the starters, which were prepared with a lot of love. All in all, we had a successful evening that was characterized by a lot of warmth."

Without question, the atmosphere is quite good and everyone is extremely friendly. Staff is very good and always on site. The food is great, enough choice and tastes great too. But the price-performance ratio of the drinks and dishes on the menu should be worked on. Some products are simply disproportionate to the price they are offered.

Ich habe für mich und eine Freundin essen bestellt, beide verfügbaren Pasta Gerichte welche ich innerhalb von 30min abholen konnte und somit garnicht lange warten musste. Dort angekommen wurde ich freundlich von Pano und Elsa empfangen und konnte mich wunderbar unterhalten. Fast zu schade das wir nur bestellt haben. Das Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen und gibt eine schöne Atmosphäre ab.

Ich war am Mittwoch im Sparta speisen. …..nicht das erste mal , es ist für mich immer eine kleine kulinarische Reise und Gaumenfreude. Die Teller sind schön angerichtet und man merkt , das da ganz viel Liebe drin steckt……. Die Weine vortrefflich , sehr zu empfehlen der Rose d’Anjou. Der Chef und das Service Team sind sehr herzlich und gehen auf jeden Wunsch ein. Very courteous staff, the food was really tasty and reasonably priced. A table was offered within a very short time, even though there were many guests. Bringing our dog was no problem at all, on the contrary, they brought him extra water. Summary: very happy again!

A difficult review, unfortunately I only give it 2 stars. Let's start with the positive points: 1. The ambience is really very nice, inside the tables are at a reasonable distance so that you don't have your neighbor sitting on your lap, as is unfortunately the case in many Greek restaurants. The chairs and benches are very comfortable. The whole restaurant is clean and tidy, no kitsch or clutter, I really liked it. 2. The food is sensational both in terms of taste and portion size. Rarely have I had such a crispy yet juicy gyro. The fries were also crispy, not soaked in oil. My fellow eaters were also enthusiastic, including the pork fillet, bifteki, garlic potatoes and a burger. Everything was absolutely great, served on warm or hot plates. Once they're finally on the table... and that brings us to the unfortunately negative part of this review. 3. We were looked after by 6 or even 7 different employees that evening. And one thing or another doesn't always seem to go smoothly. We got the menus on the table, and shortly afterwards the next employee came and took the drink order. In the meantime we were served a glass of ouzo per person, including for the 11 year old at the table, there was no alternative for children. But: So far everything is good. Less than 5 minutes later an employee came back and wanted to take our drink order. We said, we've just done it. No, it's not in the system. Ordered again. The drinks came relatively quickly. Then the starter and main course were ordered, and I then lost track of the staff. After about 20 minutes the starters arrived. About an hour after we ordered, the colleague who had taken the drink order but not recorded it appeared and asked if we wanted any more drinks. I said we would like to eat something... Yes, ok, it's coming soon, it's coming right away... So, after more than an hour, the excellent food as described above arrived. When it was cleared away, my son asked if there would be any ouzo afterwards. Yes, there was. A. For him. On Bill. Since many of the reviews here are just raving, I'm giving one star each for the food and the ambience. There is nothing more possible given the unfortunately poor service and the extreme waiting time. A round of ouzo on the house would have made me happy, but only a dry "Thank you for your patience" at around 30 EUR per person and over an hour of waiting time for food - nope. The risk of repetition is therefore very low, even if the food is sensational. Small note outside of the rating: The parking situation is a bit complicated, there are parking spaces directly at the house, but they are limited.
