A good Greek restaurant. The service is very friendly and the food is very tasty.

The worst Greek food I've had in over 25 years. The lamb chop was black and tough, the liver was tough, the gyros was okay but a bit too dry. The tzatziki was good but had to be bought separately for €6.50. Disappointing! It's like having to pay extra for mustard with your bratwurst. The coleslaw was stale and had nothing to do with the typical, delicious Greek coleslaw!

The food was simply very good, everything was clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and left nothing to be desired.

Unfortunately, the portions have become very small and are disproportionate to the now "normal" price. Without an appetizer, we found it difficult to feel full after the main course. However, the quality of the prepared food was decent. The service was feignedly friendly and prompt. Overall, I still can't recommend the restaurant.

Service is slow. Even though we arrived an hour and a half before closing, that's no reason to be negligent towards the customer. The food wasn't tasty. My girlfriend had a stomach ache and nausea late into the evening. The prices for the portions are no longer reasonable. This was our last visit.

Too bad I have to update my 5-year-old review. A table for two in the far corner between huge family tables is pretty much the last place I'd want for a quiet evening for two. Generally speaking, it's nice when large families celebrate their reunion, but this restaurant thrives on its relaxed atmosphere. Please remove this table. We've been coming to your restaurant for over 20 years. This was the first time I didn't tip. Service and taste were top-notch as always. The atmosphere this time was a flop. Sorry

We'll definitely visit this restaurant again when we're back in Altenburg. It tastes authentic, like in Greece, an evening transported back to a vacation.

We really enjoyed going there until recently. But the second to last and last times were very bad. Not because of the service or the quality of the food; otherwise, it would have only received one star. But because the prices had been raised (okay, that's doable under the right conditions), and at the same time the portions had become much smaller. What was left on the plate was disgraceful and a complete disgrace. That's just unacceptable. It's a shame, but we'll be avoiding the restaurant from now on, as we don't have anything to give away either. Perhaps the owner will read the reviews and think about it. In my dish, everything on the plate had become much smaller, except for the Metaxa sauce. The crowning glory was the rice. Serving someone something like that in such a large quantity is despicable. Since I always eat the same thing there, I know the previous portions. Well, we're sorry, but that's it for us and this restaurant.

We always enjoyed going there occasionally and it was our favorite restaurant. But not anymore after our last visit. Such small portions are not possible. A few fries and a small scoop of rice, lots of sauce and little meat. However, the moussaka was the “crowning highlight” for €24 and was so small that it was actually outrageous. That was the last visit.

Mediocre food, small portions, high prices.

We have been visiting this restaurant regularly for over 20 years and have always been satisfied with the taste and price-performance ratio. The food tastes very good and the staff is very attentive and friendly. After our visit yesterday we went home hungry for the first time. Everyone knows that the prices have generally become more expensive, but unfortunately reducing the portions even more doesn't leave a good impression! We think it's a shame and hope it changes again!

We LOVE coming here and are ALWAYS warmly welcomed. The staff is super nice, attentive and responds to requests. It always tastes great and is visually beautiful and tasty. The atmosphere is of course very relaxing during the week and very lively on the weekend, just as some guests love it. The starter and main course are served to the table at regular intervals. ..can be recommended, is ALWAYS worth a visit 👍🏼.

The food was tasty, but you actually expect that on a grilled plate Thessaloniki, it looked like a children's plate! For €19.50 it comes with tzatziki, but it costs €6.50 extra, coke €3.80 and for €29.80 I expect that it will fill you up. It's a shame, I was really looking forward to Greek.

We came from the Ruhr area to eat the best gyros with Metaxa sauce of my life. The calamari was also fantastic. I can only praise the service and the whole restaurant.

We went there for the first time with friends and family. Our 4 year old daughter was also with us. There were small toys for her on site so she didn't get bored. The staff was very attentive, a little stressed but still super nice. The food was great and the atmosphere was great too. Altenburg simply impresses with its gastronomy. So many really good restaurants. We'd love to come back.

We spent 3 days on a short vacation in the neighboring hotel. Short walk to the restaurant. The staff was super friendly, no long waiting times and the food was really delicious. The menu was very extensive. So there was something for every taste. Our food was excellent and the portion was reasonable. Not too much and not too little. Went there for the third time and were disappointed. Customer requests are not taken into account at all, tzatziki has to be paid extra to the gyro for an outrageous €6.50, which would have been the price of the starter if we had still had bread with us. We couldn't order any more drinks because we were skillfully ignored and the waitress we spoke to and promised to take our order never came back. Even on stressful days, service should look different.

We were 2 people, had numbers 55 & 36, each with a salad. This one came first. It makes sense that lamb chops are not big. But they should be tender. That's what they were. unfortunately not, but tough. And there should be enough filling side dishes. This wasn't the case either. In addition to the fries, there was a mini blob of rice, different from what was stated on the menu but with tomato(?), and you had to order tzatziki separately. Small plate for €6.50. Conclusion: neither of us were full. Little food for expensive money.

One of the worst Greeks I've had so far. The meat was dry, blandly seasoned and half cold. I've never experienced that there wasn't even tzatziki with a grill plate. You could hardly get the gyros down. And that with a wait of over half an hour for food. Will not be another visit.

Was at the restaurant for lunch. Service is normally friendly. Unfortunately the food wasn't great. It was better years ago. Calamaris had a strong taste of frying fat, Metaxa sauce was boring and neutral. There are much better Greek restaurants. I ate the starter before the main course came to the table. The white bread for the starter was very tasty.

Enjoy your meal. Just what you would expect from the Greeks. Fast service and you didn't have to wait long for your food. I can't say much about the ambience since we had a table right at the entrance. It was definitely very full so I think it's better to reserve a table.

The atmosphere is like a train station pub. Everything was too cramped and too loud. The food was average but the service was nice and quick. There is no myth and the service didn't even know it. My wife had a dry white wine that we had to complain about because it was no longer good.

I've been going to this Greek restaurant for many years and unfortunately I've always noticed that the quality is steadily declining. The portions of salads are getting smaller and smaller. A farmer's salad for €15.50, so small that you can hardly see it on the plate. The price is definitely not justified. The quality of the meat (Mykonos plate) wasn't really good either, except for the liver. The side rice was cold and unseasoned. The staff was nice, but I go to a restaurant because of the food, just the friendly staff isn't enough. Price-performance ratio should be checked urgently!!!

Great food... service is really very friendly and accommodating. What is of course very questionable are the prices... VAT was increased in 2023. reduced to 7%, the food increased by an average of €3. In 2024 we will be back at 19% and the food will be increased by €3 again... sorry electricity and gas is almost at the old level, as is food in the wholesale market. As regular guests, we probably won't come as often anymore.

Never again!!! We ordered food and it was terrible. “Garlic potatoes” were fried potato slices with a tablespoon of garlic paste on them, which simply made the potatoes bitter and also inedible due to half a bowl of oil. The meat was so dry that you couldn't even eat it with the cable. Everything was carelessly slapped into the container and that was it. More than a disgrace for this price. Unfortunately you can't give less than one star.

Mit griechischer Gemütlichkeit hatte der Besuch gar nichts zu tun, den Tisch hatte wir für 17:30 reserviert, Getränke, Vorspeisen, Hauptspeisen wurden ziemlich schnell an den Tisch gebracht, das war ok. Allerdings waren wir von der Qualität etwas enttäuscht den die hat nachgelassen. Meine Frau hatte eine Magen OP konnte deswegen nicht aufessen, als wir sagten das wir das mit nehmen möchten.Eine Dame brachte uns dann zwei Assiette und wird durften selber die Sachen in die Assiette packen,die mitgenommen werden wollten von uns. Wir haben das Lokal dann schon 18:23 verlassen, mit dem Gefühl in einem Schnell-Imbiss gewesen zu sein. Echt schade was aus unserem Lieblingsgriechen geworden ist.

Wir waren mit 6 Personen zum Abendessen da und waren begeistert. Tolles Essen, freundliche Mitarbeiter und schönes Ambiente! Weiter so!

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und schnell zur Stelle. Selbst zum Karfreitag, bei vollem Hause musste man auf nichts warten. Wer es ruhiger möchte bekommt auch Platz in einer ruhigeren Ecke. Vorbestellen ist aber sicherer.
