So delicious in Syrtaki. I love the gyro. The boss and all employees are very friendly. The service is top and there is always an ouzo as a welcome. The ambience is nice. New salad plates etc. The customer is king here! We love going to this great restaurant! 👍

Great Greek, one of the best in Giessen in my opinion next to Aris Gyros. Good price-performance ratio. And to start with an Ouzo on the house, or at a party and the right waiter "Jannis" several bottles on the house :-D Only recommended!

Greece in Giessen. If you want very good Grischich food, this is the right place for you. Always a pleasure for the eyes and palate.

Apart from the fact that the building is in very bad condition, you are also greeted by an unfriendly lady with the words: “Have you made a reservation, if not, you have to sit outside” But the most unpleasant thing was the service person who took the order. First you get the wrong food, then there are unpleasant discussions about what you supposedly did wrong when ordering. Conclusion: We won't go there anymore

Great ambience! The team Evangelos, Ioannis, Luis, Lukas, Sahra and the great people in the kitchen are always very friendly and fulfill every wish. The food is phenomenal and always very tasty. We have been coming here for many years. A bit like a second home.

The Greek restaurant deserves 5 stars. Food and staff are great. The staff is attentive and absolutely hospitable, typically Greek ;-) Highly recommended are the platters for 2 or 3 people with one or two starters. However, you should be very hungry

We had dinner at the Boxer Club last night and had a meat platter for three people - just fantastic! The platter was rich, super tasty, and the large salad that accompanied it rounded the whole thing off perfectly. Before dinner there was an ouzo to get us in the mood, which got the evening off to a great start. The service was excellent: both the gentleman and the young lady were extremely friendly and attentive. As soon as the beer glass was empty, a new one was ready - it couldn't be better! Despite the New Year's Eve hustle and bustle, all the dishes came to the table quickly and hot. The overall package of great food, attentive service and a pleasant atmosphere makes the boxing club highly recommended. Thank you for the great evening – we’ll be happy to come back!

One of the best Greek restaurants in and around Giessen. Price-performance is right. The quality of the food is very good. The service staff is very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is very busy, so you should make a reservation.

Once and never again. Seen from the outside, it looks something like a prison: fences and security steel doors. Unfortunately, we sat in the entrance area, where it was very fresh and smelled of cold cigarette smoke because smokers were constantly coming in and out in droves. The welcome ouzo was meant to be nice, but nothing special and rather lukewarm. The food is cheap wholesale goods of poor quality. Nothing that was on our table saw a pan or even a grill. Neither salad nor tzatziki are homemade. The gyro was also only lukewarm. The wine served was undrinkable because it was completely sour - it had been drunk. The waiter's answer - he seems bad, that can happen - quite unprofessional. Otherwise the waiter was nice and that gets one point. Conclusion: if you want to have something cheap in your stomach and if taste and quality are not that important, this is definitely the right place for you.

Very tasty food and good service. Asking beforehand who would like the ouzo wouldn't have hurt. And as an alternative for the children, a shot glass of orange juice or just water would have been nice. Unfortunately there were no changing facilities in the toilets. That significantly diminished the visit for me. Are children perhaps not wanted at all?

I am very happy with the food and the hospitality. I can only recommend it and everyone can form their own opinion.

Staff very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately the quality of the food was subpar. Had two starters, tiropita and baked eggplant. Both were probably just warmed up in the microwave. The tiropita was a corner piece, which wasn't really a problem. But the edge was hard, hard to cut and eat. The aubergines were mushy and completely tasteless, and the tzatziki just missed the spices and garlic. Salt and pepper couldn't save anything either. Afterwards I was annoyed that I didn't let the food go back. But my friend is a convinced fan of this restaurant and didn't want to disappoint her. Maybe just had a bad day?! The one star just for the extremely hard-working and friendly staff! And the sufficient parking spaces. Otherwise, I unfortunately cannot recommend the restaurant.

When the temperatures were warm, both the terrace with pleasant lighting and the starters were a great choice. Both the homemade stuffed eggplant with minced meat and the Dolmadakia (grape leaves with minced meat and rice in a spicy sauce) accompanied by coleslaw were convincing and when we looked around at the computer regulars' table, the dessert of the day also caused enthusiasm.

Despite a very short notice request on a Saturday afternoon, we were able to reserve a table for the evening. The food was very good. The fish platter in particular was very extensive and tasty. Gladly again.

The food was average, unfortunately the fries were almost unsalted. The tzatziki was also neutral in taste. Unfortunately, we weren't asked once throughout the evening whether we would like to order something more to drink, even though the glasses were long empty. Unfortunately, the waitress didn't have a friendly tone and didn't come to the table once throughout the evening without a request from us, which was a bit unpleasant, having to call out, request or ask every time... At the beginning we were given a schnapps on the table without asking, even though no one wanted it. A friendly offer would have been nicer. Not everyone likes alcohol!!!

You were welcomed very friendly and shown to the table. The order was taken quickly despite the restaurant being full and the drinks came very quickly even though there was only one bartender in a full restaurant. What also really impressed me is that even the bartender repeatedly helped carry the food. You don't see that in too many restaurants. The prices were more than reasonable for the portions and the boss was nice too

Service not really friendly. When the drinks were empty, the waiter only briefly said the word beer. Food was average. Tsatziki was rather bland and only tasted like quark. At the beginning there was an ouzo for everyone as a welcome and then again afterwards. Value for money was ok.

We've been there for a long time and were pretty disappointed. Tzatziki was hardly seasoned, there was no cucumber visible, there was no salt, pepper or garlic. Metaxa sauce, ordered separately, had the consistency of paste. Onion rings cut way too coarsely. Menu totally inappropriate for a restaurant, oversized laminated menu with no wine selection. We were really disappointed and probably won't come back again. It's a shame, it used to be really great

Have eaten here several times. Everything has always been great so far. But the last time was a disappointment. The rice tasted burnt and some of the gyros tasted strongly of liver. The prepared sheep's cheese was very salty. The service was great. The place is very cozy. Will give the food another chance next time.

Wir waren das erste mal im Restaurant Syrtaki. Der Laden war kurz nach Eröffnung (17:30 Uhr) voll, was ja ein gutes Zeichen ist. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und auch schnell bedient. Als Begrüßung gab es einen Ouzo. Vorspeise Saganaki (selbst paniert) hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Als Hauptspeise gab es Gyros und einen Metaxaauflauf. Das Essen hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt und obwohl so viel los war, ging es relativ zügig. Kann diesen Laden nur weiterempfehlen.

Qualität und Quantität hat in den letzten Jahren drastisch nachgelssen. Nicht empfehlenswert !!
