Restaurant Seestern in Kissing

Unfortunately disappointing. Expensive and mediocre in taste, a real shame. The "fresh from the grill" fish mix (for €24.90) was completely greasy, deep-fried in batter, even the scampi. And the sardines had a very strong fishy taste; we decided to play it safe and not eat them. There's definitely PLENTY of room for improvement!

The name isn't quite right, but we received very friendly service. The food arrived quite quickly; it was Sunday at 8 pm and not very busy. Thanks to the coupon booklet, the price was reasonable, but without it, I found it a bit expensive. The ambiance is a bit dated and somewhat neglected. However, the friendly service made up for it. If we're in the area again in the summer, we'll definitely come back.

Always nice and the food is delicious

Yesterday, friends invited us to this themed restaurant for dinner. Very friendly service, great food, very tasty, and well-seasoned. The themed burger with 360g of meat was a dream, highly recommended, but almost impossible for a woman to finish. The burger was juicy, not dry, and the fries were freshly prepared, hot, and crispy. All in all, the visit is definitely recommended. Unfortunately, we live 500 km away, but this restaurant is definitely on our list for our friends' next visit. Many thanks again to the staff, and keep up the good work.

The pljeskavica was delicious, the meat super tender. Friendly service, and of course, the setting by the lake is something special.

A total disaster. The fries were inedible. The fish platter wasn't as advertised, with completely oversalted fish that was frozen and boiled rather than grilled! And the best part!!! There were only half of the varieties advertised on the platter! The staff were a disgrace! Uncaring and incompetent. If my wife and I hadn't been there, I would have left the restaurant protesting loudly! We were there in the spring and the food was good! 60 euros wasted and my Sunday was ruined! I'm never going there again!!! A real disgrace.

Absolutely outrageous – never again! What we experienced here wasn't a meal, but an outrage. We ordered two pizzas – both completely wrong. The ingredients we wanted? None. Instead, the cheapest toppings, thrown together carelessly. And all for €15 per pizza? Outrageous. To top it all off: two different kinds of salami on one pizza – one with a pepper crust, one without. The restaurant? Scruffy and uninviting. The staff? Unfriendly, overwhelmed, and clearly lacking any restaurant experience. Once and definitely never again. Money wasted – and an evening we'd rather forget.

We waited an hour for our food, and only one person was served, even though we were there as a couple. Then the calamari finally arrived, and it was cold. We sent the food back and can't recommend this restaurant.

That was nothing. We wanted something to eat on Sunday evening after visiting the playground, and there wasn't much going on on the terrace. The waitress was absolutely in the mood. We asked twice! that we wanted to order something, at least drinks. They nodded – and then the waitress disappeared back into the restaurant! After 30 minutes, we packed up our things and left. I'd also like to mention that it doesn't look inviting inside at all; unfortunately, it's quite run-down and dirty. It's a shame, the location is actually really promising, right on the lake; they could do more with it.

Unfortunately, only one star. We were there recently in the early evening and had something to eat. The fries were unfortunately not good at all, and the used oil tasted "old." There were hardly any people there, and the service staff had a completely unmotivated attitude, insane. We waited forever for our drinks, and we also couldn't order for about 15 minutes. Too bad. We were there several times in the spring, and it was much better then.

Unfortunately, my visit to your place yesterday was a disaster. First, we had to wait ages for our drinks, and then we had to wait over an hour for our food, which really wasn't that difficult. There were four of us, and only three people got their meals. My partner had to wait longer... only after asking did he find out that his pizza hadn't even been prepared. It wasn't particularly busy either. I'd say that's normal for a Sunday lunchtime. Some tables were even empty! We originally came for the suckling pig that was advertised on the website. But unfortunately, there wasn't any... Conclusion: Bad service, food only OK, staff completely overwhelmed. We won't be coming back!

Great Italian restaurant with a beautiful view of the lake, the quality of the food is also great. Unfortunately service has deteriorated, hence a star deduction. We still like to come by as day trippers.

The worst... Dirty, incompetent staff... We actually wanted to eat there. It wasn't busy. After we got our drinks, we waited over 15 minutes to order. No one came!! We paid for our drinks and left...impossible, everything there.

Beautifully located, with a view of the greenery and lake from the terrace. Friendly staff, a clear and well-stocked menu. German/Croatian dishes. Very generous portions. Good value for money. The terrace could benefit from a bit of color. Otherwise, it's OK. Very suitable for a cozy summer evening.

A very nice, cozy restaurant. I really liked this place, and the service was very friendly. You feel very comfortable here. We ordered the large meat platter and the small fish platter. The cevapcici were amazing, and the fish was also perfectly cooked. I'm already looking forward to the suckling pig this weekend. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately closed today due to lake closure

I wish I lived next door. Top-notch service, perfect food, and a dreamy atmosphere. It literally took my breath away. If you want to eat well, this is the place to be. I drove 200 kilometers and don't regret it for a second. Keep up the good work and thank you for the unforgettable evening.

Friendly service and good food. We ordered a salad with homemade bread as an appetizer, but unfortunately, it was served after the main course—at our request—without the homemade bread. When we asked again about the bread, we received a brief nod and were then served it later. When we paid with the gourmet block, the salad was also deducted. A shame. Otherwise, the food was tasty.

Good food, good and friendly service

We had two cheeseburgers (€18.90 each according to the menu) and two drinks. Since we were there with the Schlemmerblock (snack-only package), we were only charged for one burger. I generally find almost €20 for a burger too expensive, and the taste was average at best. The service was okay, and the view of Lake Weitmann is very nice. Our conclusion: The price-performance ratio isn't right.

This place can only be recommended with reservations. The waitresses' faces were visibly bored and uninterested in serving customers. Several guests independently commented on this. The cashier was very friendly and made up for some of the things the waitresses had previously made bad. A lot could be done with this place, but we wouldn't go back there in its current state. It was very loud at the time of our visit; the grill, with a suckling pig hanging on it, was very, very loud. A little oil would do the engine good, and it would be considerably quieter.

We ate here today and it was simply fantastic! The meat was a 10/10 – super tender, juicy, and flavorful. A big shout out to *Elisabet*, who was very attentive and friendly. All in all, a fantastic experience – we'd love to come back! 🙌🏼

A complete disaster. There's no structure from the staff. Everyone does what they want, and you don't know who to order from or pay. Let's not even talk about the dress code.

We decided to stop here spontaneously. Very friendly service, a great view, and the best burger (experience burger) we've had in a long time. We'd be happy to come back.

Great location with plenty of options for all ages. The food was good, even though we had to wait over an hour for our food. To make matters worse, the calamari were out of stock, probably for two hours. A note when ordering would have been helpful. The food was fresh, and they looked for alternatives. We got salads as no apology. The staff was friendly and helpful. All in all, it was a lovely afternoon/evening.

Disaster! We made a reservation, but still had to wait two hours for the food, only got enough cutlery after asking three times and we basically had to chase after the bill. I strongly advise against this “gastro experience”!

A single catastrophe. We waited around 1 1/4 hours for the food. There wasn't much going on in the restaurant at that point. Out of 6 people, 3 people had their food after 1.2 hours. The other two after another 30 minutes, after the others had already finished. The rice was overcooked and mushy and the food was generally nicely presented but tasted boring. You usually had to order drinks twice because they kept getting forgotten. The used glasses were not cleared away. Also, the waiters didn't know the table numbers. Wrong dishes were repeatedly brought to our tables and those next to us. Other guests also complained. After we asked to pay three times, someone came. Yes, there was gradually more going on on Mother's Day and Communion Sunday. But everyone had reservations. So, as a restaurateur, I know when and how many guests are coming. That was the first and last time there.

Beautifully located restaurant on Weitmannsee with outdoor seating. The menu is extensive, but mostly limited to meat, fast food and pizza. We each had a fitness salad and were definitely satisfied and full at the end.

The only real "experience" here for us was a really bad-tempered waitress. We didn't eat there as we had planned, we just drank and left. A UNIQUE experience for us.

Overall, our visit to the adventure restaurant at Weitmannsee was very nice. The food was really tasty, the facility was clean and the playground was great for kids. However, a few points cloud the positive overall impression: The waiting times for the food were quite long. The suckling pig was offered as a daily recommendation - but without any price information. On the bill it was then charged at €22.90 per portion. Children's meals were not listed on the menu. Instead, 2 euros were deducted from the regular price (e.g. pasta with tomato sauce for €6.90 and Hawaiian pizza for €10). Despite the price reduction, this resulted in a fairly high bill for our family visit. Overall a nice place with good quality, but price transparency and a better solution for children's meals would be appreciated.

View very nice. Unfortunately the meal took a very long time. Fish was ordered, supposedly from the grill. But everything was fried and therefore very fatty. Last year we ordered something to pick up. It was actually quite tasty, but the order wasn't complete. Well, we wanted to give it a second chance, this time on site. We were there in the evening around 6 p.m. and were the only guests. There was a suckling pig outside on the grill, but it obviously wasn't ready yet. The restaurant is very old inside and out. The welcome was friendly, but that was it. Were ignored forever because it was more important to brief the DJ for the next day, which was also rehearsed loudly. We could hardly talk anymore. Not a word of apology. We had a grill plate and a seafood pizza. Unfortunately, the grill plate wasn't good at all, but the pizza was. The service, as already mentioned, was non-existent. There was no question as to whether it was tasty or whether you would like to order anything else. We've tried twice now, but there won't be a third time. Too bad!

We held our club party here. The food was very good, and both inside and out, the staff are very accommodating and customer-oriented. Even if the kids are at the playground next door, you can easily watch them from the terrace or sit at one of the tables by the playground. The interior is functional and comfortably furnished; from the outside, it doesn't look so modern, but that doesn't detract from the overall feel.

"Disappointing service but average food" Unfortunately the service was disappointing: we had to wait at least 15 minutes for our drinks and over 45 minutes for our food. The quality of the food was OK, but not outstanding. What was particularly annoying was that guests at the take-away kiosk were served much faster than we were in the restaurant.

We dined here with a group of 15 people, including some children. Unfortunately, the toilets are very disgusting and unhygienic. It was February, the place was cold, the children were freezing. The food always came staggered and at longer intervals, so it was not possible to eat together. The children even got their food last (children's schnitzel and pizza!). A strawberry in the dessert was moldy! If that is the definition of an adventure restaurant, then yes, you can experience something here!

Surprise successful! Finally a restoration where the price and performance are really right. The service was very nice, attentive and quick. The chef also prepares simple dishes here with attention to detail. Here too, high praise from us. We will be happy to provide the missing 5th star. It should serve as a bit of an incentive to give the “Starfish” an individual touch, with regard to the equipment (inside and outside). If this is done again and care is taken not to “rip off” the guest in the future, then the operators have done everything right. Keep it up, we liked it!!

The special burger tasted very good. Unfortunately, cheese wrapped in foil appeared. The pizza tasted like stale ham and cheese.

The restaurant is a bit old, otherwise it is cozy. The food was now quite okay, my meat wasn't that special. Fries, on the other hand, were very fresh and tasty.

I am absolutely positively surprised (and that rarely happens). I've walked past this restaurant many times and have never really noticed what it looks like. In fact, the ambience is as you would expect from the outside: getting old, little space in the interior, a lot of visibly superficial repairs/decoration. What was even more surprising was the really excellent food. Except for the bifteki, where it wasn't clear whether meat was ever processed there because it was just a heavily seasoned, fried porridge, the rest was very good! From the fries to the goose - delicious! The service was polite and kept coming over, the waiting time was appropriate. At the end we were offered a schnapps. It was quite empty, which surprised me for a Sunday lunchtime. But it may have been due to the bad weather. Important: It is best to order special meals when you reserve your seat. I would have liked to eat suckling pig, but that was already reserved for another group. The toilets are in the basement. There is no elevator for it. The women's toilets were dirty. It's a shame that the restaurant had just opened. We'll definitely be back!

We really enjoy coming to the adventure restaurant!! The terrace is simply awesome in summer!! 😎👍🏻 The children are playing in the playground, Lake Weitmansee glitters in the evening sun and we have dinner and drink our white wine!! The hosts are also very accommodating and very friendly!!! 👍🏻 5 stars because the Kissingen youth were also able to hold their Christmas party here and the children were invited and given presents by the hosts!!! Yesterday we had dinner at Weitmannsee again for a long time. We had reserved in advance, which now works really well online via the website. The food was very tasty, the service was always attentive and quick. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back.

Very cool, beautiful location, super nice team, there is a delicious suckling pig that was missing in Augsburg, and I can only recommend the curry sausage, homemade sauce is great. Very child friendly, the playground in front of the door is a dream for the whole family. I'll definitely come back, thank you keep it up.

First there was a discussion about the gourmet block. We then both decided on a dish with chanterelles. After a few minutes we were informed that there were no chanterelles. I got mushrooms as a replacement, the price remained the same. In my opinion the meat wasn't fillet, but it tasted good.

We stood in the parking lot with our motorhome for three days and treated ourselves to the wonderful pizza baked in the restaurant at Weitmannsee on two consecutive evenings. You just walk there, order, wait about 10 minutes and take the pizza with you to the motorhome: wonderful! The edge of the pizza is not baked too high and is crispy, the consistency is softer towards the middle, but you can divide the pizza into triangular pieces, fold them together and enjoy them out of your hand. Simply a pleasure!

Short trip. Very suitable for families with children. Even picnics are allowed here and are great fun for children. The food and service are rather subtle and therefore probably not that great. Self-service restaurant

Good restaurant with new owners (since 2024) who are making an effort with new dishes and great drinks. The menu includes Balkan cuisine and pizza. The facility should be overhauled soon (toilets 1-2 broken, etc.)…

Nice place with a lake and playground. The terrace is covered and you can sit protected from the wind. Food seems to be a mix of Italian, Croatian. Pizza very good. Kitchen from the display case is probably thawed. Service a bit slow. In summer there is a kiosk for bathers. Located directly on the Lech hiking trail.

The food is a joke for the price. If you can't even manage to cut a salad then I don't know what will. The schnitzel and PNP (breading-no-breading) a sheet of paper is almost thicker. Fries were also inedible. Pork medallions that aren't just unbreaded schnitzels, at least they were a little thicker than the breaded schnitzels. Service was friendly.

As a group of 10 people we enjoyed the beautiful atmosphere here right on the lake. The food came quickly and was really tasty. Everyone ordered something different and everyone enjoyed it. Particularly noteworthy are the portion sizes. Finally feel full instead of the gourmet portions that are so common today, for which you pay a lot and still leave hungry. The waiter was very accommodating and friendly. The very friendly landlady completely convinced us. We felt welcome as guests and will definitely come back. THUMBS UP for these committed newcomers

Very nice innkeepers. Very hardworking and accommodating. There were 10 of us there and every meal was just very good. We'd love to come back.

We were there yesterday and will definitely not be coming back to eat. 3 pizzas that were OK and 1 x suckling pig. This was what was on the board, which is also available today without a price. When it came it was clear that it wasn't fresh. This was warmed up again in the pan and was therefore completely dry and inedible. When the waitress came and asked, we said so in a nice and friendly manner and it was acknowledged. So we left all the meat back and only ate dumplings and cabbage. Then the shock came when the bill came for 22.90 for the suckling pig and we had to pay it in full without coming forward. A schnapps on the house was offered, but since it was lunchtime and we had to drive, this was rejected. I've never experienced anything like that, to be honest.

I was there yesterday to have something to drink and possibly eat. Unfortunately that didn't happen. Service zero points. I sat at the table for 20 minutes and was neither greeted nor asked anything. Ignorance times two. Then I left again.

Top location for eating. Ideal excursion destination or as a stopover to satisfy your hunger with excellent food. Also great with children.

A beautiful inn in a beautiful place. My wife and I walked around the lake that is directly in front of the inn and then stopped at the inn for a short break. The service was very nice and helpful. There wasn't a long wait. There is a nice terrace with a view of the lake Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food because we only had something to drink, but from what I saw on the neighboring table the portions were very generous
