Yes, very much so. Especially at lunchtime, it's always affordable, fast, and good.

My wife and I also recently ate there. Inspired by memories from over 10 years ago, and somewhat annoyed by the noise level and "gymnasium" or "train station" atmosphere of the Asian restaurant in the neighboring town, we wanted to try it again. According to the online opening hours (5:30 p.m.), we arrived around 5:50 p.m. I was a bit confused because 1) it was open, but the lights were still off, and 2) the buffet was completely empty (i.e., just clean, empty bowls). We were the first guests, and I had the impression they were waiting there to see if any customers would come! Although I already had a bad feeling at that point, I gave it a chance! At around 6:07 p.m., the waitress poured the first dish into the clean bowls. I took a quick dip and went to the buffet. For 21 euros per person, I expected considerably more than what was offered! There's an urgent need to become competitive. Especially since Mering has major competition (albeit with a gymnasium atmosphere and a noise level beyond good and evil)! Even when we left the restaurant around 7:00 p.m., three bowls in the modest buffet were still unfilled! Moving on from quantity to quality: The things I tried were aromatic and well-seasoned! I couldn't say much about them, except for the "slightly" stale Krupuk with the soup! Moving on to the drinks: Charging €4 for a Coke, which also tasted slightly stale... oh well! Even the only waitress, who was always friendly, had reached her limits with the 10 tables occupied by the time we left. Fruit for dessert was nowhere to be found, and the ice cream flavors on offer were quite limited (according to my wife). What I would like to emphasize, however, was the ambiance, even if the music was a bit too loud for me! Anyone looking for a quiet meal in a relaxed atmosphere will certainly be in good hands there. There's also plenty of parking right outside! In summary: An Asian restaurant with potential, if it were to be used! Certainly, the competition with a more extensive menu contributes to the fact that there are fewer customers there every day. But to attract customers to this restaurant, the owners need to up their game and offer a more extensive selection available during opening hours, properly advertised opening hours to guide their visit, and not offer customers obscure Krupuks and Coke. Then, in my opinion, the restaurant would be a success!

I was there for lunch. The lunch was super cheap, including an appetizer. It was okay. Standard Asian cuisine.

Es scheint so, als würde die Qualität der Speisen sich immer mit den Besitzerwechsel ändern. Letztes Mal war die Qualität unterirdisch. Speisen waren eklig ölig und fett, Buffet ist mit seinen Preis überteuert und das Personal sollte einmal eine Schulung in Freundlichkeit machen.

I can only strongly warn against this Asian restaurant with its wildly overpriced so-called "special buffet"! I've rarely had such a bad meal: the Prosecco I ordered at the beginning was completely stale. When asked about it, the waitress said the bottle had been "open for several days" and that's why she "wouldn't charge me." Thank you, how friendly and honest! They should never have served this to the guest! The buffet had little variety and was poorly laid out. The rice was overcooked or dried out in the hotplate. Rice cooker? There isn't one. Not only were the meat dishes dripping with oil, they all tasted incredibly greasy. So you only cook in a wok if you can't stand roasted flavors for fear of it burning. It's totally unpalatable and unhealthy, and also "seasoned" with an extremely high amount of MSG. The cheap calamari rings, dripping with oil and rubber, were also exemplary. Would you like a few mini chocolate kisses for a "Chinese dessert"? Are the à la carte dishes any less disastrous? We'll never know, because we'll probably never set foot in the completely outdated "Royal" restaurant with its dried-out houseplants everywhere again.

But the food is delicious and the prices are good, especially at lunch. The green curry is incredibly tasty! The hot and sour soup is also significantly better than many others.

Went here for dinner some time ago to try out this restaurant. Well located in terms of traffic in a shopping park near the main street. It is integrated into a building area on the first floor. A staircase leads to a somewhat old-fashioned, rustic guest room with lots of wood. The staff was friendly and you could choose between buffet and menu. It took some time until someone took the order. I ordered a Peking soup; as a main course chicken and duck with vegetables and rice from the menu. The soup came before the drinks and didn't taste like what you would expect from Peking soup. After some time the dish came with extra sauce. This tasted very strange, almost bitter. The rice was fine and as it should be. The vegetables that were served under the meat were noticeable because of their mushy and somewhat overcooked consistency and unfortunately tasted very bland. If you then added the sauce, even if only very little, you would only have the taste of it in your mouth. The meat itself was okay, although a little dry. Even though it was a Saturday evening there were very few people there. The buffet that was set up around the seating areas didn't really suggest that there was any lavish consumption. There was somehow a strange atmosphere in the restaurant. The staff kept disappearing and there was an unpleasant light. After I had eaten 3/4 of the dish, my needs were met. You could eat it but for the money you could do better. It kept bothering me during the drive home. I kept everything but I didn't feel comfortable. After a while it worked again. A sailor would probably have reached for a bottle of rum... Conclusion: If you're hungry and don't have any special requirements, you're welcome to stop by here. But if you know what Asian dishes are all about, you're better off somewhere else. For me I can only say one thing: tried it - ticked it off.

Staff friendly and accommodating, price and performance match

Great Chinese or Thai food with consistent quality, prepared by a family. We have been coming regularly for years.

Cozy atmosphere. However, the selection at the buffet was rather limited, so you couldn't put together too many different combinations. In addition, some of the hot dishes were unfortunately only lukewarm, which spoiled the enjoyment somewhat. Better temperature maintenance would be desirable here.

For me, this has definitely been my favorite Chinese dish for years. It always tastes delicious and never disappoints. The ambience is nice, everything is spacious and not crowded. There's a great buffet in the evening, but I usually go there at lunchtime - the lunch menu offers spring rolls or Peking soup in advance. Great value for money 😊

The taste of the food is OK. But don't say that it's super tasty, nice atmosphere. The service wasn't great, even though the restaurant wasn't even half full, you had to wait what felt like 10-15 minutes before you could order more drinks. But the best thing is we waited almost an hour until someone came to pay. There are better Chinese there.

Let's start with the food: I personally thought the food was very good... 😊 Price / quantity top... Ambiance: the furniture jar is really a bit outdated and the chairs are quite uncomfortable... 😏 Service: the waitress was in a hurry - looked bad-tempered - and barely said a word. After he brought the food, I never saw him again... 🤷🏻‍♀️ The lady who cleared away, yeah dishes gone, didn't ask anything. Whether you want something else or the bill - just like that Conclusion: if you visit it, it's because of the food, at most...

The food is more like a snack bar than a restaurant, everything is ok but just ok. The product quality is standard and the ambience is rather old-fashioned but just ok!

This time we didn't eat from the buffet but a la carte. There are so many other dishes that taste great and are excellent in taste. So, as always, very tasty.

Here you not only experience excellent cuisine, but also first-class service and a cozy atmosphere. Every dish impresses with its freshness and sophisticated preparation. A place for casual evenings that can without a doubt be recommended.

Heute Abend waren wir im Asia-Royal, das Buffet war super mit einer großen Auswahl. Alles was es gab hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt, der Service war super die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Von außen sehr unscheinbar doch von innen ein echter Geheimtipp. Super essen super service . Sehr empfehlenswert.

Wunderbares kommt manchmal sehr unscheinbar daher. Von Außen würde man gar nicht wissen, dass hier ein Restaurant ist, wenn da nicht wenigstens ein paar Schilder darauf hinweisen. Aber das Essen war wirklich sehr gut und das Restaurant war sehr gemütlich eingerichtet. Preislich absolut okay und die Bedienung war typisch asiatisch sehr nett. Hier werde ich sicherlich wieder hingehen.

Wie immer alles frisch reichlich und super netter Service

Essen war super lecker. Leider kam, nach der anfänglichen Bestellung, vom Service gar keiner mehr vorbei. Wir konnten also keine Getränke mehr bestellen. Als ich zahlen wollte, habe ich 25 Minuten warten müssen um letztendlich doch selbst zur Kasse zum Bezahlen gehen zu müssen.

Ein sehr authentisches asiatisches Restaurant mit der beeindruckenden Einrichtung aller Restaurants, in denen ich je probiert habe. Der Besitzer war sehr nett und lachen gerne. Übrigens war der kleine Becher alkoholfreien Cocktail zum Schluss bei Bezahlung mein Favorit, schade aber zu wenig und ist nicht verkäuflich!

Vom Buffet bis zum Service war alles super. Bedienung freundlich. Buffet Vom Hühnchen bis zum Sushi alles lecker. Den Kids hats auch geschmeckt. Die Inneneinrichtug war auch sehr schön im "Holz" Look. Alles im Allem ein schöner Abend mit der Familie.

Die Ente war sehr knusprig und lecker. Freundliche Bedienung. Schöne Inneneeinrichtung. Leider nur zum mitnehmen wegen Corona. Sehr gerne wieder !

Zu Zeiten von COVID-19 haben es die Restaurants, ganz gleich welcher Ausrichtung, echt alles andere als einfach. Was wir allerdings zum Mitnehmen vorgesetzt bekommen haben, das spottet jeder Beschreibung. Lieblos, schon fast matschiger Reis und einer Sauce ohne wirklichen Geschmack. Das ganze für mehr als 10€ pP. Und der Aufgang vom Parkplatz zum Lokal im ersten Stock nicht wirklich sauber. Ich kann das Lokal aus meiner Sicht aktuell keinesfalls empfehlen.
