We were there today, October 1, 2025, with six guests at table 5. We were all truly satisfied. Everything was just right, and the food was all excellent. Thank you so much for the wonderful time we spent with you. Hospitality is still a top priority for you. 5 stars from us.

A bit hidden in the allotment garden area, but the food was excellent. We were really full and had to have some packed up. The prices were absolutely reasonable, and the food was very tasty. The service was very friendly. You should be aware, though, that you can only pay with cash. We were short on cash. The atmosphere is nice, but unfortunately, smoking is allowed outside. As a non-smoker with a small child, it was unpleasant, but unfortunately, it's often the case.

We were welcomed very warm and kind by a lady in the restaurant. Great talk and the Schnitzel was amazing!

Yesterday, the three of us were there again, outside. The terrace was completely booked in no time; we couldn't get in without a reservation. Despite that, there was no rush; the service was as usual. There was a large birthday party in the hall, and a smaller one outside on the terrace, but everything ran smoothly. Drinks and food were still served promptly. We're always happy to come back.

Unfriendly 😡I want to reserve a table yesterday, in English, the phone was passed on to another lady, panic, English was spoken... then I got a man. He says no and throws the phone down... rude!!😡

Despite a very large group of about 100 people, almost everyone got their food at the same time. The food was home-style.

The restaurant is located in the Schönefeld allotment garden. When the weather is nice you can sit on the terrace, but the interior is also bright and attractively furnished. Here you are warmly welcomed by the boss personally and if you don't know Pit, you've really missed something! The service can also only be praised highly and the food is simply excellent. Schnitzel lovers beware: here you will find the best schnitzel ever!!!! However, you should be hungry, as the schnitzels are wonderfully thin and tender, but also huge. Furthermore, these are prepared perfectly in the pan and not, like in other restaurants, fried to death in the deep fryer! All other dishes are also highly recommended and at really fair prices. We love our “Schnitzelmann” and always enjoy coming here to eat!

This local restaurant serves delicious German food and it is certainly useful to make a reservation. There were two of us and luckily there was still one table available, the other places were reserved! We had a great meal there for a good price (main course and coffee). Definitely worth repeating when we are in Oberhausen again.

The Schönefeld restaurant is a little hidden in an allotment garden. Freshly prepared dishes tasted very good, portions were enough to fill us up, the four of us had no room for dessert. Good table layout in the hall, not so much fighting, relaxed atmosphere, dogs are also welcome. We are very satisfied and would recommend the restaurant.

Definitely the best schnitzel far and wide! Definitely a recommendation, you don't get such great homemade schnitzels and fried potatoes at that price anymore and especially at that price. Definitely a clear recommendation

We have eaten there several times and are always impressed. Very friendly and attentive staff. The staff remains friendly even if you express special requests and it is very busy. The food is always very good and plentiful. The restaurant is somewhat “hidden” in an allotment and you have to park outside and walk a few meters through the area. We would love to come back and can highly recommend the restaurant.

Rustic and simple atmosphere, but the food is very good and the staff is always friendly. The portions are very good, the schnitzels are fantastically tender and thinly sliced. The waiter and boss always have a friendly word and sometimes have time for 1-2 minutes of small talk. We go here regularly

Low-level treatment of guests The reserved table for 8 people in a separate room was occupied on the agreed date and my name was crossed out in the reservation book. My guests were to be entertained in the noisy dining room. When I refused and expressed my displeasure, I was loudly expelled from the restaurant, colloquially known as "kicked out". It can be assumed that the innkeeper gave the table to “friends of the house”. It probably went along the lines of “We’ll add them to another table.” Something like that just doesn't work. A relaxed meal will no longer be possible for me.

Beautiful green and peaceful place amidst a bustling city. Very kind owner! The food was amazing. One of the best steaks we ever ate. Can highly recommend this!

All I can say is a small, fine, really good location. Which I would happily recommend. In the middle of an allotment garden in Oberhausen. Everyone really cares about the guest. And everything we ate was very tasty and more than enough.

We were there with a larger group (reserved in advance!) and got terrace seats in the beautiful weather! The service was polite and attentive, and the food was really good. Very large portions and really tasty. A little insider tip, but you should reserve here in advance. I can't say anything about the actual rooms as we were only on the terrace.

The dishes are rich and very tasty. The selection is more than sufficient. Every guest will find something on the menu there. The food style is bourgeois cuisine. Lovers of fine dining should stay away. I think it's wonderful that there is this restaurant in Oberhausen gives. So: keep it up!!!

The schnitzel was great, the fries were missing salt (salt shakers at the table would be great). The chairs and cushions could be a bit more comfortable. The staff very friendly 👍.

If you can eat a lot and don't want to miss out on good taste, the Schönefeld restaurant is the right place for you! Everything is freshly prepared and the prices are completely reasonable. The ambience is sufficient for all occasions, unless you prefer a really fancy restaurant and are happy to pay twice as much.

Clubhouse in the allotment garden. I often passed by on walks and was always well attended. So I tried it myself and found it to be great. Food is freshly prepared, service is super friendly and attentive. The price-performance ratio is excellent. The only downside: only cash payment possible, but you can be prepared for that!

Since I love schnitzel, I read about this inn by chance because two other restaurants were closed and I'm glad I went there to eat!!! The service and the boss were very friendly and accommodating. When the waitress asked if I would prefer a schnitzel for seniors, I thought she was joking. But when my schnitzel with fried potatoes came, I couldn't believe my eyes: it was almost bigger than my plate and just by looking at it you were almost full!!! It also tasted extremely excellent. The price-performance ratio is top class and I'm looking forward to being able to go there again!!!!! If I train again in Oberhausen, the Schönefeld restaurant will definitely be on my to-do list again. Keep it up, you're great!!

We have eaten at the restaurant several times and have always been satisfied. The food is very tasty and the staff is always in a good mood. It was only on Saturday that things got out of hand. At the last meeting in December we made a reservation for 12 people on February 24th, 2024. Unfortunately, when we arrived at 5 p.m. it had not been recorded. Finding a replacement for 12 people on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. is not that easy. We finally found a replacement. The restaurant would actually get 5 stars from us, but these can only be awarded if you get into the restaurant and there is something to eat. Klaus Savelkouls

0 stars! 😞 We were there in a larger group and unfortunately we were all very dissatisfied! After more than an hour we got our drinks and were allowed to order our food. When, after another very long wait, we asked kindly how long we would have to wait for the food, the waiter became very excited!!!! unfriendly and loud! He called us "disgraceful" for even daring to ask... Even the food didn't make up for this inconvenience. It was very greasy! The result was stomach pain. Unfortunately no recommendation!!!
