Great food, great view, great the Elbe

The restaurant's price-performance ratio isn't right. The asparagus spears were cooked to varying degrees. The porcini mushroom ravioli was frozen. I've known this restaurant for a long time and will definitely not be visiting again.

The food is very good and the stuff ist very nice

I was visiting Hamburg. A friend invited me to a restaurant. A relatively young waiter with a red face served us. He looked at me disparagingly. He seemed arrogant. He was unfriendly. Due to an unnoticeable illness, I'm a bit slower, which didn't sit well with this waiter at all, and it made me feel it.

Unfortunately, as in previous reviews, we experienced the same thing. The ambiance was nice, but the food and service were a complete flop. The prices are really just based on the ambiance. It's a real shame, especially considering the money you end up paying.

Unfortunately, a total flop! The price/performance ratio isn't right. Staff are unmotivated, menu items are swapped and served without notice. The table isn't clean, and the seat cushions are heavily stained. What am I supposed to do there? Bottom line: never again! Unfortunately, the perfect view doesn't make up for it, what a shame. Urgent need for coaching...

Great ambiance, terrible service – unfortunately, no recommendation. I'm giving it two stars for the beautiful location, the convenient parking right on the Elbe, and because we didn't eat anything – so I can't comment on the food. Even the "friendly" no-entry sign at the entrance made me pause, and the many empty tables on the harbor birthday should have been a warning sign. Nevertheless, we politely asked for a seat. Two older ladies in front of us were rudely turned away because they "just wanted a drink" – completely unnecessary in my opinion. We wanted to eat and were offered a rather uninviting shady spot by the entrance, even though there were much nicer seats available. Maybe they were reserved – we thought. But then we were told twice (!) that the food "could take a very, very long time." In other words: better not to order anything? If you turn away guests who just want a drink and are simultaneously overwhelmed with food orders – something's wrong. We left – and were warmly welcomed and served promptly elsewhere. That's just how it works.

The food was very bad, not good quality. The service was also not satisfactory. You didn't feel welcome.

The food, most important thing first: Duet of salmon. Somehow I would also like to give 4 stars, but the details didn't fit. The salmon and potatoes didn't fit well, and the savoy cabbage was also a bit dull. It tasted okay, but wasn't appropriate for the price. Therefore only 3 stars. Service: Friendly looking, but completely overwhelmed. No empty glasses were checked when serving and clearing away, then after 20 minutes of looking at people to pay, they paid at the counter, asked several times when ordering due to the language barrier... hmm, it was a new challenge, I guess. But with the best will in the world, there were things going wrong that anyone who went out to eat themselves would get right on. And there wasn't much going on! What should happen when the store is buzzing? Hopefully they have other people. TOI Toi Toi. Ambience: Unbeatable. Location location location. Parking right in front of the door. What more could you want? However, I only sat outside and can't say anything about the interior despite paying at the counter. But it looked really good there in a hurry.

Sitting on the terrace right by the water in fantastic weather. Attentive service! Rarely have I had such good porcini mushroom ravioli! And price-performance is also ok. We'd love to come back!

The food and ambience are of course 👍. Your attitude towards the AFD is also excellent! But I don't have the money to eat there for more than €30. Of course you won't do it, but I would be happy if homeless people or people who don't have the money could also benefit from it. Please don't throw away excess food, there are people who have nothing and are craving and hungry for it. It would be a win-win situation for you and would also bring a few clicks 😛

Very nicely located, great service, nice staff, great food and fair prices. You can then sit directly on the Elbe and watch the ships. What more could you want?

We ate here on the afternoon of April 27th. The staff wasn't friendly, the food wasn't seasoned. When we said that, the waiter gave us a tense look and an unfriendly answer. The ambience was a view of the Elbe

Just wanted to go to the toilet and then have something to drink. Unfriendly high ten. Anyone who can do without customers... should do without us. Not recommended.

We had dinner at Elv on Easter Sunday evening. It was too cool to sit outside, but the view and atmosphere inside were also very appealing and cozy. The food was very good and the service was very attentive. We all felt well looked after and enjoyed the evening accordingly!

One star for the view. Eating is like this, you can eat it. That's why you don't have to come again. Service works like this, you don't have to come again. Reservation online was made on the wrong day with a double spelling error in the name (first and last name incorrect in a written (!) reservation! Entered a day too late, at least the time was correct.) We had to wait almost an hour for food. The place was less than half full, but we still had to wait a long time until we got the menu, then until the order was taken and then again until the food came. With a small child who whines impatiently. The table next door came half an hour later and got their food ten minutes before us. Food tasteless anyway, plaice and panfish. Too bad. The first and last visit. Drafty, the door to the terrace is open all the time when the outside temperature is 10 degrees. Very uncomfortable. The menu on the website does not match the one in the restaurant.

The tastiest Kaiserschmarrn in all of Hamburg. Fantastic location on the Elbe and large terrace with a great view.

Since all the public restrooms were locked, my wife desperately asked if she could pee here... it was a weekday, when the store was barely busy... She got a heartless NO. She wasn't even allowed to pay two euros! Shame on this store. Shame on yourselves!

We had the pleasure of spending our family celebration at this restaurant and it was truly an unforgettable experience - although not in a good way. The service was so overwhelmed that we almost felt like we had to lend a hand ourselves. The cold buffet was so sparse we thought it was a diet event. The service was as attentive as a rock, so we ended up helping ourselves at the bar. All in all, an evening that we won't soon forget - unfortunately.

The Elv restaurant has a great location right on the Elbe and offers a breathtaking view, especially during sunset. The ambience is stylish and modern, but at the same time cozy. I will definitely come back to try out the dishes on offer.

Kale was ok, but the "crispy" duck was a disaster. Tough as a shoe sole and nowhere crispy. Instead of apologizing for the miserable food, they initially wanted us to pay the full price. Service was otherwise very nice and helpful, although we were almost alone in the restaurant. Very nice location on the Elbe, of course you can't expect much ambience in an empty restaurant.

Food was ok, but nothing special. Service was friendly, but not overly motivated. The ambience was okay, but we were the only guests for the rest of the hour and were then asked to pay an hour before the official closing time.

Would have liked to leave a review, but we weren't allowed to stay because we had a dog with us. So just a note: dogs are not allowed.

We were guests on December 24th, 2024 - our special thanks for that! The reservation many weeks ago was a bit chaotic but we were very positively surprised when we arrived. A very friendly welcome and quick drinks immediately put us in a good mood. Despite a Christmas menu, à la carte was possible. Starters and main courses are all different. Our food came in one go - we've had a different experience elsewhere. Then something sweet at the end. The family left happy. Many thanks to the team - almost forgot: the food was worth every euro.

Went there yesterday and there were only positive things. Also a very chic restaurant with a fantastic view of the Elbe. The food was very delicious 10/10 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The prices were reasonable. Service was attentive and nice. The owner was super friendly and you generally feel very comfortable. There was also live music suitable for the Christmas season. In summary, it doesn't get any better than this. Everything was great and I can only recommend it 👌

Nice shop in itself. Unfortunately the skin of the duck wasn't crispy and the service was non-existent. And that in a completely empty restaurant. It's a shame about the beautiful place.

The restaurant was all normal okay. The food was very, very good and I really can't complain about it. However, we waited a long time for our drinks and a very long time for our food, a total of over an hour and a half. Unfortunately, this somewhat distorted the overall result. The ambience was very nice and the facility was very well maintained, although there were a few leaves lying around everywhere, especially in autumn, which could have easily been blown away with a leaf blower. However, I would still recommend going here because the restaurant was otherwise very well done and you had a view of the Elbe

Beautiful place in a wonderful location. The food is extremely good. Some personality is missing. Atmosphere. But otherwise very good.

View directly onto the Elbe. High prices. Large coffee garden right by the water. Friendly service. Toilet steep stairs down, modern and clean. P-space available, not recommended for wheelchair users.

Restaurant: Great location, good service, good food. Price-performance ratio, yes. Food was good, panfish and fish soup, the roast beef was more grayish than delicate pink, the smallest portion of fried potatoes ever 🤔 Be careful when paying by card: tip 10% given, billed almost twice as much! Noticed and complained, received refund in cash but also incorrectly 😕

The view from this restaurant alone is worth a visit. Direct view of the Elbe, visavis Airbus industry, if you are lucky you can see the Beluga (transport aircraft) landing or taking off within touching distance! The service, the food and drinks, everything is great. We'd love to come back.

We had 2 bad experiences, so unfortunately I can't recommend the restaurant. On the one hand, we have reserved a celebration with several people (14) during the week and weeks in advance. Unfortunately there weren't even flowers on the table and one waiter was there so rarely that we went to the bar to order ourselves. We waited almost 2 hours for the food to arrive (despite only 3 other tables being occupied). However, the food was delicious. The toilets were also blocked at times. On the other hand, we wanted to have a drink there in the evening and maybe eat something (during the week and good weather; parking lot 3/4 empty). When we parked in the parking lot and then just wanted to take the dog to the dog park in front of the house, we were spoken to directly by the owner and pointed out that it was a private parking lot. We can understand the displeasure (tourists) and explained that we would sit down straight away and only wanted to walk 100m (dog park). In short, we were very rudely turned away from the parking lot and were not allowed to have a drink there

After a very bumpy start to planning. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was really good and the service was attentive and friendly. You should urgently work on the organization. You really get the feeling that the leadership is a bit of a mess. It would also be nice to have a current menu on the homepage.

I was very dissatisfied, the behavior of the staff was very bad

It's a great location, but with totally unfriendly staff. I arrive at the parking lot with my girlfriend and after just 1 minute they tell me that it is not a public parking lot. In a totally rude tone.

A beautifully located restaurant with a great view. Unfortunately we had to wait forever before we could place our food order. It took quite some time before the food was served. The food itself wasn't bad but not good either. We would like to test it again.

The most beautiful location is of no use if you have to wait 10 minutes for someone to come to the table and deal out the cards. So it went on. The wine arrived 20 minutes after ordering, the bottle was already opened and the glasses were half poured. A rogue who thinks evil of it. In any case, an absolute NO GO!

Beautiful place with Beautiful views. Best part is they have a place for doing small celebrations of around 40 people . Loved the vegetarian white Pasta and Spicy tomato pasta there. Highly recommend.

Yes, the view is really great, but I don't understand the good reviews. We were here for the first time today and ordered a schnitzel and ravioli. The schnitzel tasted like fish, as if it had been baked in a used pan or something similar. After complaining about the very slow service, the response was very brisk and aggressive. The waiter tried the schnitzel and denied any allegations. Both of us, not fish eaters, could clearly perceive the fishy taste, which made it “inedible” for us. Compensation (not even drinks) for a whole meal that was returned was not offered. The ravioli were a complete mess, but in my opinion 6 ravioli are not a 20€ portion. In addition, 3 out of 5 starters were not in stock, which in retrospect makes us glad we didn't leave any more money behind. With over 15 years of gastronomy experience, we would have wished and imagined the situation to be different. Unfortunately, the Elv restaurant cannot be recommended.

Delicious food with a beautiful view

Had dinner with friends at ELV last night. Fantastic. The large terrace with a view of the Elbe couldn't be more beautiful. The large awning provides great protection against bright sunlight and it was pleasantly warm. The beer was delicious, the food was very good, the service was very friendly. Even though the restaurant was busy, everything came quickly. The dessert, Kaiserschmarrn, was a hit. Another positive thing to mention: You can park your car easily, right in front of the restaurant. We were there by bike.

Can only recommend the restaurant! Best view of the Elbe, super delicious food and great service. We would love to go there again!

Great atmosphere, with a bit of luck you can see the Airbus 🛬 & 🛫 planes while enjoying delicious cake. Sometimes the “BELUGA” is also there, bringing the fuselage parts from Toulouse.

Great location with a view of the Elbe and shipping. Parking at the restaurant. Unfortunately, the flesh of my cutter plaice was dry and fibrous, having obviously been frozen for a long time and warmed up. Very disappointing.

Location is very good, but the food is mediocre. Fish soup is tomato soup with a shrimp, salad was mediocre.

On TikTok they are all big and bad about guests but they don't get anything done in the store. Normally you should be very quiet because I think what is being said is not an experience from them but from the guests, as you can see from all the reviews on other portals except Google

I haven't been there often but what I've had has always been good. The savoy cabbage tasted like it did in my childhood. The fish dishes were also good.

We had lunch, were greeted very friendly when we arrived and were served courteously. The food was freshly prepared and very tasty. With freshly tapped beer and delicious dessert, an all-round perfect experience.

Few days ago we have been eating there. Food was not delicious at all and service was also not great. And personal was fighting eachother badly we have seen that. It was crazy. Must be careful to go this place

Saved a lot of money because we were never seen, nor attended. It was Saturday afternoon around 15:00, there werent too many guests in the restaurant. We sat on one of the tables in the terrace area for about 20 minutes without receiving the menu card to order although the waiters looked at us several times from afar , while getting payments from other tables, etc.. finally we had to leave out of disrespect. While I unfortunately cannot feedback on the quality of food, the incredible view of Elbe from their terraces is truly to fall for 😁
