A beautiful castle with a vineyard. A visit is especially worthwhile at Christmastime, as the annual light and wine installation is incredibly romantic. The estate's own wines are also excellent. We'd love to come back.

Very good offer and very good service

We visited the Wine & Light event during the week and were very impressed. The ambiance is uniquely beautiful and the mulled wine is delicious. It's definitely an experience worth having.

We had the pleasure of experiencing the restaurant during the "Play of Aromas" wine tasting. The evening began with a delicious three-course meal, followed by eight wines that were a wonderful opportunity to discover. The tasting was informative, entertaining, and very interesting. It was a truly delightful evening.

We were here for the Radebeul Christmas market at nightfall. Everything was beautifully arranged, truly romantic.

Before heading home, our tour group from Thuringia made a stop at Wackerbarth Castle. We received a warm welcome and were taken on a tour of the castle. We learned a lot about wine and its production and were able to taste three different wines. In high spirits and with a positive outlook, we then began our journey home. Thank you for this interesting insight into the work of the winemakers.

Fine dining with a lovely ambience.

The food here is excellent 😍. Fine dining. A feast for the palate.

Everything was very classy. We were a very large group and had to wait a long time, but I think it would have been quicker otherwise because the staff seemed very competent.

There wasn't really any service; it was all self-service. The food and drinks were delicious, but for a certain amount of money, as you'll know when you visit Schloss Wackerbarth. The ambiance and the enjoyment are simply dreamy in the glorious sunshine in the castle's "park/garden" 👍🥂☺️🌅. You can sit very comfortably and listen to the beautiful live music with a glass or two or three of sparkling wine/wine/beer. 😋😆

We were there for a champagne breakfast. There's a small selection of dishes, but more can be ordered. The breakfast organization isn't ideal – it starts at 10 a.m. Since the food was brought to each table, we didn't have our breakfast until 45 minutes later. The location and ambiance are second to none; they're top-notch. The service is very attentive and friendly.

A beautiful place! You simply "have to" go here. The ambiance is simply a 5 out of 5. We chose this location as the destination for a bike tour from Dresden and are absolutely thrilled!

After a wine tasting, I had lunch here. The quality of the food was very good and the staff very friendly.

Great atmosphere with live music

Great location, delicious wine.

Easter at Wackerbarth Lamb goes very well with Easter. Therefore, we opted for the lamb fillet. The meat was well-chosen and pink and juicy on the inside. However, the bacon on the beans was completely off-putting; it has no place on vegetables in haute cuisine, unless perhaps it was a pork dish. Savory is definitely much better. The sea buckthorn cream was a good idea, but unfortunately not creamy at all; it was more like a pudding with too much thickening agent, which spoiled the flavor. The staff, however, were very friendly and attentive. Update June 1, 2025: Today's visit left little to be desired. Since the rain had stopped, we sat outside under the umbrella. The asparagus soup was first-class, and the vegetarian main course was also very good. The dessert (strawberry mascarpone) unfortunately fell apart due to a lack of binding, but it tasted good and not as sweet as many desserts you can buy. The staff, as always, were absolutely fantastic. When it came to choosing the right wine, they even offered two samples to help us decide.

A terrible place with disgusting service: The waitress brought appetizers from the chef, and when I asked what was in them, the answer was: "I don't know." The menu is very meager, and there's practically nothing to eat. The view is beautiful, but the rest is disgusting.

There is no passion for this place

Simply very beautiful. Just standing in line forever for a mulled wine is really tiring.

Half the restaurant is empty and the staff sends you away because they don't have the capacity to serve 2 drinks.

The service wasn't exactly the best today and the bratwurst was only half warm, I would have expected better quality.

The food Well, we had a goose bratwurst. I say you have to try it. We'd rather have something different next time, tastes are different. The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was nice at Christmas time. The mulled wine was delicious and definitely worth a visit if you're in the area! I think we'll be happy to come back too!

We were able to experience our company Christmas party here this year. What an experience. With curling and mulled wine. Afterwards a delicious meal and the already illuminated castle and park in the dark of the night. Recommended to everyone in the run-up to Christmas.

A treat for the palate with impressive service!

Delicious food knowing that I live near this beautiful area, visit it all the time and enjoy this beautiful atmosphere!!!!!! Especially in these times, Christmas is a peak of splendor and beauty, and the lights are often a beacon at night!!!! While giving a beautiful and elegant view at night, I recommend everyone to visit this beauty.

I don't understand how this restaurant can have such a positive review. The food was unusual, but still not all that good (especially for the price), the service was careless, as was the ambience. In general, everything lacks character... it's supposed to be a classy restaurant, but the implementation didn't work out.

After our wine tour we went to the restaurant. There was a warm welcome from Ms. Bellmann. She is very friendly. We got a nice table. Our food was excellent. Like the wine and the ambience. At comfortable intervals we were asked about our well-being about food and drink and then had a home-made praline as a treat. Highly recommended.

Unfortunately, the food is disproportionate to the price and the service was very poor.

We weren't in the restaurant but we enjoyed the beautiful weather outside with a bottle of wine. The wine was very tasty and so were the lard breads.

The champagne breakfast on October 3rd has already become a tradition for us, now with children and grandchildren: a perfect reception, great ambience, extra sausages (vegans) are fully fulfilled if you book in advance, food and drinks are worth the money - we'll be happy to do it again!

Zeer geschikt voor een uitstapje vanuit Dresden met de auto. Een knappe formule met een 300 jaar oude traditie. Overdag een snelbuffet, 's avonds een voortreffelijk restaurant. 100% bij de tijd. Voortreffelijk eten en bediening.

Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was a disappointment from start to finish. After we sat down, we were completely ignored. It took a while before anyone even came to us. When a waiter finally showed up, he explained to us that he was only responsible for clearing up and not taking orders - which was irritating enough. When I asked why he was at our table at all, he actually suggested that he could just leave the table with the dirty dishes. This rude reaction left us completely speechless. We have rarely experienced something so unfriendly and disrespectful. The service in this restaurant clearly leaves something to be desired. We are disappointed and will certainly not be coming back.

I visit this restaurant often and am impressed. Haven't been disappointed so far. When I'm in Dresden again I'll be a guest there. The waiter - Mr. Girsch - is perfect.

Wine and views are first class, but the selection of dishes is poor, the staff makes mistakes every now and then, not with the dishes, then with the bill.

I was there at the invitation of a big event. You will be greeted by friendly staff at the entrance and your coat can be left outside. The area is fantastic with a large garden, a wonderful old castle, beautifully preserved, with discreetly inserted new buildings, the vineyard in the background... The event began with a program that was held in a large tent, comfortable chairs, good acoustics. Afterwards, a short meal outside and then a delicious six-course menu in several halls. The staff was constantly bustling around pouring drinks and asking what we wanted. Dessert was then served again in other rooms with a bar - followed by a party with music from a band or a canned disco... there was something for everyone. Overall great, great ambience, great food, selected wines, very friendly and generous staff. Certainly not for a small group as it's too big, but doable for 50 people or more.

The ambience was of course beautiful. Waiters also trained. So far everything is good. Unfortunately, the food didn't convince us, especially not for the price. Asparagus was woody, there was still skin on the chicken (a matter of taste) and some of it was gristly, but I wouldn't have expected either of those from chicken breast. In addition, the portions were very small (three whole potato halves with a crumb of parsley were the side dish “parsley potatoes”). But all in all it's still nice, especially because of the ambience.

We went to Wackerbarth Castle for the first time today and were thrilled. But what thrilled us even more and literally topped off a wonderful afternoon was the service staff in the inn. First class staff from greeting to recommendation to attention.

We were surprised: nothing going on on a Friday evening. Service very quick and friendly. Food: ok, starter: game terrine with juniper puff pastry, unfortunately dry and tasteless. The main course was better, but not manageable after the starter. The drinks are, as expected, appropriate and first class.

Service was very accommodating. Only had a small vegetarian starter. It was tasty but the tofu could have been made a little more exciting. Still recommended

Sunday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. Reserved for coffee and cake. Cake selection 2 pieces. And then waited 30 minutes for the coffee. Unfortunately, you only live by the name, not by the service.

Unfortunately, expectations and reality are miles apart in this upscale restaurant. We went here on a Saturday evening in December because we didn't want to queue outside for bratwurst and mulled wine. We waited at the entrance to be greeted and shown to the table. After a short wait, a waitress appeared and sent us across the restaurant with the words “go behind it, there is a table free.” Some time after we sat down, the waiter appeared and brought us the menu, which was really elegantly bound in a book, although it must be said that a large part is reserved for exquisite wines and sparkling wines from our own house. So far, so normal in a state winery. The menu is clear, but this doesn't cause any criticism when you consider that everything is freshly prepared. We chose pork medallions, ox wedges and twice the cheese variation with five types of cheese. When the food came some time later, we were surprised that there were only four types of cheese on the cheese plate. We called the waiter, who surprisingly didn't seem surprised at all, but commented on the whole thing with the words: “I noticed that too and told the kitchen about it. Sometimes it's just like that, you only make four if one variety is out. But no matter, they thought I wanted to rip them off.” He spoke and disappeared. We were left with our mouths somewhat open at this use of language from an employee in such a posh restaurant. A short time later the fifth type of cheese arrived. By now the ox cheeks and pork medallions were cold. The portions were clear and obviously designed for you to order a complete menu with starter and dessert. Anyone who wants to be full is either wrong or has to dig deep into their pockets. When the waiter in question cleared the plates, he only commented on the whole thing with these words. Well, I don't have to ask here... whereupon we asked what he meant. In his opinion, our plates suggested that we were completely satisfied with the meal, which we denied. For example, we criticized the really very small amount of sauce on the dishes. We were then told in a reproachful tone that we could have contacted us. Since most guests only want very little sauce, an extra gravy boat is added upon request. He left it open whether this would then be billed separately. When we paid and left, he (!!!) sat at the neighboring table with guests and chatted animatedly with them at eye level. Conclusion: if you are hungry and want to satisfy it in a well-kept atmosphere, you should go somewhere else. We would definitely like to praise the trainees who served at the table that evening and were really friendly and courteous.

Das Sektfrühstück, wa wir genießen durften, war sehr lecker. Da das Wetter sehr schön war, haben wir im Garten sitzen können und das Ambiente der Weinberge genossen. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Trotz Vorbestellung haben wir mehr als 1,5 Stunden auf das Essen gewartet… teilweise war es dann noch nicht mal heiß… Das Personal war bemüht … aber so kann man mit Gästen nicht umgehen ….

Been there for breakfast. It's a nice location and the staff was admittedly very friendly. But overall it was a bit disappointing: They call it breakfast for 29€ something but charge extra €1,50 for jam or honey. Also a fresh orange juice would cost extra €4,00. I mean come on... What's a breakfast without jam or honey?

Service und Essen waren ok, gutes Preis - Leistungsverhältnis. Lediglich stimmte die Weinberatung überhaupt nicht. Auf der Karte steht 1 Rotwein zu 8€ für 0.2 l. Die Bedienung zählte noch weitere Rotweine auf und mein Mann wählte einen Spätburgunder...., am Ende standen für die 0,2l Spätburgunder 22,50€ auf der Rechnung. Wir dachten erst an ein Versehen, aber eine Servicekraft erklärte relativ herablassend, dass ja die Flasche schließlich 75 € koste. Ist ja ansich ok, aber zumindest hätte man auf den Preisunterschied hingewiesen sollen. Schade, so hat die Stimmung dann doch gelitten.

Wir kommen schon einige Jahre hierher und sind immer wieder sehr freundlich bedient worden. Die kleine Speisekarte wechselt öfters und es ist für jeden etwas dabei. Ein wiederkommen lohnt sich. Um die Weihnachtszeit verleihen verschiedene Lichter den Weinbergen eine wohlige Atmosphäre.

Wir waren nur zum Kaffeetrinken. Sehr nette Bedienung und sehr leckerer Kuchen. Mein Kaffee war leider kaum genießbar. Sehr dünn und sauer. Nach anderen Getränken wurde man nicht gefragt. Nach der Andeutung, man würde 3 Weinproben nehmen, kam keine Bedienung mehr. Schade
