Spitzhaus Radebeul in Radebeul

We ventured up to the Spitzhaus on foot and were rewarded both visually and culinarily. The food and drink selection has something for everyone; even special requests are accommodated, and vegans can simply let the kitchen conjure up something for them. The staff is very friendly and caters to their guests in a pleasant and individualized way. You immediately feel at home and don't feel rushed. The ambiance is cozy and friendly. And if you can sit outside in nice weather, you have a wonderful view of the vineyards. We will definitely stop here again on our next visit to Radebeul.

Lovely place for a late summer wine

Such a wonderful view of the Elbe floodplains of Dresden and Radebeul. Top-notch. Very friendly staff, who are unfortunately a bit downcast, as strict city regulations severely restrict opening hours and bar service (10:00 p.m./9:30 p.m.), which is absolutely not in keeping with this gem!

That's not how you treat paying guests. We felt so uncomfortable that we left immediately.

I would have loved to try the kitchen today with this beautiful view. Unfortunately, the welcome was so exuberant and warm that we left before ordering. It was reserved for 8:30 p.m., and we had indicated when making the reservation that we would also like something to eat. Arriving at 8:20 p.m., we were immediately informed in a very friendly manner that the kitchen was about to close, and the way they presented this information left no doubt that they had absolutely no desire to serve us. That was probably my first and last visit.

Great location, this place is absolutely worth a visit! The food is unfortunately the complete opposite. They seem to be resting on their good reputation here. We had reserved a table for 8:30 p.m. for work reasons. The phone call was very friendly and accommodating, and we were assured that it wouldn't be a problem. The reception today was extremely unfriendly. We were immediately accused of arriving just before the kitchen closed (40 minutes before the official kitchen closes) and that they didn't even want to serve us. I would have liked to try the food, but we were so offended that we left immediately. I've never been treated so badly.

We ate here yesterday. Overall, the portions were adequate and well-sized. However, we unfortunately can't recommend the zander. For almost €30, we expected a full main course – instead, we got a huge plate with just a small zander fillet and some rice. Only a quarter of the plate was filled, the rest empty. At first, we thought there would be a side dish, but that was all. It's definitely not enough for one adult, and we were quite disappointed. It's a shame, because otherwise, everything was perfect.

The view is truly magnificent. On the terrace, you scan a QR code to place your order, so the starter arrives at the same time as the main course. While you're eating the starter, the main course gets cold, and an enormous number of flies land on the main course. The juice was fermented, and after I asked for it back, the same juice came back to the table. The salad was drowning in the dressing, and the meat was soaked with tendons that it was almost impossible to eat. Here, too, our complaints were ignored.

Perfect and enjoyed the view next door

Highly recommended, as the food is still very good (including the Caesar salad with very aromatic, crispy chicken pieces;) We sat on the middle terrace in perfect weather with a gentle breeze, which was very pleasant! Unfortunately, you can't drink coffee with milk here; they serve inedible powdered milk! It's a real shame. When I complained about this, one of the waiters responded evasively and opinionatedly, with no accommodating response at all. A shame. Still, overall, a lovely evening in a pleasant atmosphere with a beautiful view :)

Beautiful with a magnificent view

I visited your restaurant today. Yes, the view is truly breathtaking—the city is at your feet. But that's where all the positives end. The food—an absolute disgrace. How can you even serve dishes in such a state? I ordered a Caesar salad, and instead of chicken, there were charred, blackened pieces that were completely inedible. Are you out of your mind? Do you even look at what you serve to your guests? It seems as if no one in the kitchen cares about quality. This is not only unacceptable—it's humiliating for the guest. Fix this immediately before people start talking about your "standard" and giving you the widest berth.

The Spitzhaus in Radebeul is highly recommended 👍👍👍. We celebrated our wedding at the Spitzhaus on August 8, 2025, with our family and were absolutely delighted with the excellent service provided by a pleasantly friendly, extremely helpful, and harmonious service team, who guided us superbly through our very exciting day and fulfilled all of the groom's romantic wishes. Even the very last-minute requests were realized with sensitivity and professionalism. We would also like to express our special thanks for the outstanding dishes from the kitchen. All of our guests thoroughly enjoyed their meals.

What a beautiful place to visit.

We sat on the beautiful panoramic terrace. There's now a QR code on the table, which we have to use to fill our shopping cart, rather tediously, like with online shopping. I was proud to have managed it despite my age of over 80. After several minutes, a "lively" waitress came over and wanted to take our order. "Oh, yes, the table has ordered." I don't think this kind of customer service is winning us any friends. We accordingly kept the tip portion for the order.

Wonderful "refreshment" in a wonderful area

The walk is worth it. The Spitzhaus itself looks fantastic. You could even eat inside. Judging by the notices, the prices seem reasonable given the view. But we didn't go inside. A few steps further is the Bismarck Tower, with a fantastic panoramic view of the valley. A few more steps, there's a loooong staircase leading down. Truly beautiful.

The hotel is located above the vineyards and offers a magnificent view. The restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating in a pleasant setting. Friendly and helpful staff. Unfortunately, there are limited parking spaces.

Contacting them beforehand regarding the allergy-friendly menu worked perfectly, as did the online table reservation. The option to choose the right table (window, wall, fireplace room, etc.) was also fantastic. The food was simply outstanding and of a first-class standard. The restaurant has a reputation that is rarely found. The courtyard terrace offers fabulous views. If Leipzig weren't so far away, we would be visiting you more often. We'll keep the Spitzhaus in our minds, recommend you wholeheartedly, and come back as soon as we can. Thank you for the two unforgettable evenings – we'll long remember the good mood you created. 💖

Unfortunately, not everything listed on the memory card is available online. I had schnitzel with warm potato salad. The schnitzel was okay, but the potato salad left a lot to be desired. Homemade is a different story, but that's a matter of taste. Service was very good.

We sat on the lower terrace in beautiful weather. A breathtaking view and two cold drinks rounded off this unique experience. Water was available for our dogs. We received a very friendly welcome at the self-service bar. We highly recommend this place.

The location is really very nice...but I don't recommend sitting down in the courtyard bistro. The ordering system didn't work well, the waiter was condescending, and we were only given a menu after repeatedly saying "please." When we tried to cash out, we were dismissed with "sit down, I have to get to your table anyway." Another 20 minutes passed. So, the atmosphere that evening was unfortunately ruined, and we certainly won't be returning there again. If you want to damage the restaurant's reputation, then this is exactly what you should do. The fact that the waitress was overwhelmed became apparent as we left...it was 7:30 p.m., and the "Terrace Open" sign had already been taken down at 7:30 p.m., even though it was supposed to be open until 10:00 p.m. A real shame.

Wonderful ambiance and delicious food, as well as a magnificent view. One point deducted because, at least in the outdoor area, electronic ordering is encouraged. A menu is only available upon explicit request, and then only one. So, I might order pizza delivery with my smartphone, but a proper menu is more appropriate for a place like this. Especially since smartphone orders are supposed to be placed from a single device, if possible, so only one order is placed per table. How pathetic. Next comes the server robot?

We had two different waiters and were very satisfied with both. Even though we returned a steak, they responded immediately and brought us two new ones. The food was delicious, and I can only praise everything, whether it was the starter, middle course, or main course. We stayed until we had coffee. Thank you for the wonderful service.

On Whitsun Sunday, we received a warm welcome from the team at the Spitzhaus, treated to culinary delights, and thoroughly entertained. The entire team is exceptional and exceptionally friendly. The Lugau residents from the Ore Mountains were thrilled and thank you. You at the Spitzhaus are fantastic.

We spontaneously came to Spitzhaus and were lucky enough to snag a table. 😊 "Our" server was outstanding, and we had a good laugh. 😃 But everyone else in the service was extremely friendly. 👍🏼 The food was excellent, and my wife even ate the raisins in the Quarkkeulchen (a quark roll). Even if you didn't see them, or almost never see them, the chefs shouldn't be forgotten—they were worth it today, certainly 👌🏼😃 We'll be back

The Spitzhaus, visible from afar, lies above the Radebeul vineyards. It was built in the Baroque period and has been rebuilt several times. From up here, you have a fantastic view of the Radebeul area, all the way to the Elbe and Dresden. You don't have to be a guest at the restaurant to enjoy the view. There are numerous opportunities to gaze far into the distance from the plateau or the access road. Access by bike or car is only possible from the eastern side. Those who want to reach the Spitzhaus on foot from the valley use the Spitzhaus stairs. Be careful! It's advisable to realistically assess your own physical condition here.

The Spitzhaus – an institution for every visitor to Dresden! A place with character, vision, and genuine hospitality. But beware: table reservations are strongly recommended! The cuisine impresses not only with its quality, but also with its consistently top-notch performance. The service? World-class! Beautiful views stretching all the way to Saxon Switzerland and the Elbe Valley, from Dresden to Radebeul and Meissen. Weather permitting, the Spitzhaus offers excellent cuisine and a great staff.

We met up with the family at the Gräfin Cosel Court Bistro after a short climb up the Spitzhaus steps. We had great weather and a delicious meal. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. We'd definitely be happy to come back.

We were lucky enough to sit right by the window, allowing us to enjoy the magnificent view of the valley the entire time. I would especially like to highlight the staff, who remained friendly despite the stress and the running around all the way down to the garden. The head waiter (is that still allowed?), Mr. Urban, in particular, stood out with his exceptionally friendly manner. The owner would be wise to retain this exceptionally good staff and not wear them out for the sake of business... The food was appropriate for the price, in the upscale range. We would be happy to come back!

The Spitzhaus is always worth a visit for me. The view is wonderful, and in good weather, it's even more of an energy boost. The food was delicious, albeit not cheap. But combined with the view, I think it's acceptable. Therefore, the Spitzhaus is worth recommending. Oh, I can't say anything about the rooms; I don't even know if you can stay overnight there. But the service was friendly and attentive, so in one word: excellent.

Wonderful view and delicious food

The restaurant is beautifully situated on a hill surrounded by vineyards. The view of Dresden and Radebeul is stunning. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating. The terrace is currently fantastic. You can eat and drink wine there. You can order there using a QR code, but a friendly waiter took our order. Parking is available directly at the restaurant or a little further down the street. You can also walk uphill from Radebeul.

My experience was rather negative. Not everyone in our group had an internet-enabled device. After asking, a friendly waitress took pity on giving us a paper card with which we could place our order partly via the app and partly from person to person. Unfortunately, a drink that we had already paid for via the app was lost. Luckily the waitress was able to help us. All in all, I'm disappointed because something like this reminds me more of McDonald's than a famous tourist restaurant.

Beautiful view. Very nice atmosphere. The ice cream sundae was very simple in terms of design and quality. For ice cream it is better to go to an ice cream parlor. Latte was also below my expectation. We didn't try the warm dishes. The employees were super nice. A very nice place that we would like to visit again.

Many thanks to the entire Spitzhaus team for organizing the 90th birthday of our cool mom, grandma and great-grandma. The ambience itself is beautiful, but the team, kitchen and service do the rest to make a celebration a very special experience. The food was excellent and the price-performance ratio was absolutely fine. All our guests were thrilled, the children had fun and grandma was happy. Special thanks to our friendly waiter.

The Spitzhaus has a unique location in the Dresden area with a fantastic view. The food and the service are top, here we don't just rest on the premium location, but rather make an effort to meet expectations.

Went here for brunch today, absolutely recommended with a delicious breakfast offering, duck, zander, sirloin and dessert and cake for dessert. Drinks such as coffee and tea and apple and o juice cost 43 euros. Nice service especially Lars

The location and the view are unbeatable. Unfortunately, the procedure on the courtyard terrace has been changed. Here you are lost without a cell phone. There is only snack food downstairs, you have to order via QR code at the tables with numbers upstairs. Help was offered, but I don't think the development is good, especially for older people. Despite the nice weather there was little going on. That should give you something to think about.

Great evening for my sister-in-law's wedding, the waiters know how to have fun, the food is delicious and the ambience easily deserves 6 stars.

Unfortunately we had better memories of the Spitzhaus. We were there for a “coffee” over Easter. Other than this wonderful view, there was nothing else to recommend. The iced coffee we ordered took over 20 minutes to arrive, and by the time it was served the ice had already melted. The spiced meat was baked for more than a long time and the taste was not a highlight for this location. Price-performance is not proportionate. The toilets are not maintained and the brushes should have been replaced a long time ago. I also wonder why this is the case at this location. You get the feeling that many restaurateurs now only benefit from the location or view and don't put the effort into service, quality or good cuisine. The staff neither asked whether it was tasty nor did they spend long with the guest. Since ordering by cell phone is desired, this of course also saves the certain hospitality that one expects with this ambience and prices. Beer garden flair instead of an upscale ambience. It's a shame, we won't be coming back despite the view.

Ein Pot Kaffee für 5 Euro ist nicht mehr als eine Tasse abgestandener Brühkaffee. Und die Pommes sind auch nicht der Rede wert: mickrige Portion und ziemlich fettig. Das Restaurant lebt von der Lage und weniger von der Qualität.

Very nice location on the vineyard with a great view. Service on the other hand is mediocre. Loveless service and stale filter coffee, where no one felt responsible and responded.
