Spitzhaus Radebeul in Radebeul

We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening during our visit to the Spitzhaus. The restaurant has a modern yet cozy atmosphere that invites you to linger. But it wasn't just the ambience that was convincing, but above all the service: the waitresses were extremely friendly and attentive. Special praise goes to Christian and Lotti, who looked after us warmly and professionally. To eat: We had the sauerbraten and the tomahawk steak. The sauerbraten was wonderfully tender and perfectly seasoned. The tomahawk steak was also juicy and aromatic – a real highlight for meat lovers. The side dishes were also excellent and rounded off the dishes perfectly. Overall, a very nice evening at the Spitzhaus, which impressed both with the culinary quality and the outstanding hospitality. It’s definitely worth a visit – we’d love to come back!

A really great place, definitely worth a detour on the drive from Dresden to Meißen, for example. Nice garden terrace, I've never eaten here before, but the service is nice, even if it's self-service outside, recently the prices were moderate. Top tip for travelers, now also called tourists-)

We really liked it. Were there for “dinner for two”. Food was very good. The Saxon wines too. Great view of Dresden and the surrounding area. Pleasant atmosphere. Nice and attentive service staff.

Our group visited the brunch buffet on a holiday. The service was extremely attentive and helpful. It was very nice and cozy here. We'd love to come back.

Worth a climb up the many steps at any time of year. After the effort, the brilliant view is worth it.

We went for brunch and the ambience is really wonderful. Unfortunately, the brunch wasn't that convincing. If something was empty at the breakfast buffet, it wasn't refilled, so that after an hour there were only leftovers left. The lunch menu was also geared towards an older generation and was very meat-heavy. Here you could move with the times. Unfortunately, our waiter was also quite pushy and often intervened in our conversations.

Always a wonderful evening at the Spitzhaus. The food was great every time. The view, the journey there on the unlit path and the descent through the vineyards via the illuminated stairs has already become a tradition for us. I also have to highlight all the waiters, they get along well with difficult guests and we always had a lot of fun with them, they are attentive and respond to all requests. We will 100% visit this restaurant again.

The rating refers to the beer garden. Food and drinks good. Prices touristy. When a complaint was made, the drink was exchanged relatively smoothly. Kindness with the gentleman in order. The women seemed a bit annoyed. Some cutlery dirty. The tablets are absolutely disgusting.

Very nice, communicative service. During my spontaneous visit I was lucky and there was a spot available. I think you should take advantage of the offer on the website to make a reservation, as the restaurant is definitely fully booked on weekends.

Very tasty food and beautiful views. Reservations should be made for good seats by the window. There is also a self-service terrace below the restaurant. Reservations are not possible here.

We were there on a Thursday. A nice place by the window with a great view, aperitif, starter, main course, dessert, everything was great. A little more expensive, but the view, nice service staff and good food are worth it.

The Spitzhaus is a former pleasure house in the Saxon town of Radebeul. The building, which can be seen from afar, is located on the edge of the Elbe basin above the Hoflößnitz in the Oberlößnitz district. Easily accessible on foot by bike or by car. There are a few free parking spaces available. It's worth a visit just for the view. After a stroll through the vineyards, it's worth stopping off. After the renovation and reopening in 1997 as an excursion restaurant with a wide view (height 241.3 m)[2] over the Elbe valley and as far as Dresden. The Spitzhaus is 100 meters above the level of the Hoflößnitz.

Yesterday I had dinner with friends at Spitzhaus. All I can say is: unfortunately awesome! The food, the ambience and the service were very good!

Location is worth every penny! (even if the main course could have been served a little quicker) Everything was extremely delicious!!

Das Essen ist sehr delikat und seinen Preis wirklich wert. Grandiose Aussicht, selbst, wenn man nicht direkt am Fenster sitzt. Aufmerksame, gut gelaunte und stets präsente Servicemitarbeiter.

wir erschienen pünktlich zur gebuchten Zeit im Restaurant. Der bestellte Fensterplatz war ein Tisch seitlich direkt neben der Garderobe. der kellner wies uns unmittelbar darauf hin, dass er den Tisch ab 19:00 - 19:15h wieder für eine größere Gesellschaft benötigen würde. Wir waren pünktlich 18:00h da. Eine zeitstunde zum Essen wäre wohl vollkommen austeichend, denn in der Küche würden ja keine Rentner arbeiten und die Zubereitung gänge doch recht fix von statten.. Ehrlich gesagt , soetwas habe ich noch nichtb erlebt. Die Preise sin exorbitant und der Service unter diesen Umständen unterirdisch. Wir sind dann in den Selbstbedienungstrakt auf der Terasse ausgewichen. Dor fanden wir inmitten einen Platz und bestellten Würzfleisch. Sehr trocken. Die ausgehändigte Flasche Wein war warm und musste auch reklamiert werden. Preis für eine Flasche Wein+ 1 Flasche Wasser+ 2 trockene Würzfleische 44,50€. Nie wieder!

Very nice restaurant with a spectacular view over the Elbe valley. Service and food were fantastic. Good selection of wines, even if there was only one cuvée of wine from the Palatinate. I had the sauerbraten which was a bit stringy but still very good.

It's extremely difficult for me to give this a bad rating because I certainly caught an inopportune moment and the rule could be different. I actually just wanted to give it one star. Unfortunately I was disappointed with the service and the value for money. But then there is still the second one, which goes to the chef. I really have to praise the food, it was very, very tasty!! But now to my disappointment(s): When I made my reservation several weeks ago (at short notice I have a completely different understanding) I asked to be given a table at the front so that I could enjoy the view from the front. I was promised something special. Unfortunately we didn't get this seat, we sat on the edge. When I asked, I was told that everything else was reserved. I had a reservation too?! When I was asked which colleague I made a reservation with, I was at a loss for words. Well, whatever. In the end, 5 out of 10 tables at the window front were still empty when we left (after a leisurely almost two hours). It's a shame, I'd love to do it next time. Now something else that I absolutely cannot understand when it comes to a dinner for two people that cost over €100: we first got our starters - super tasty. For the main course, my companion got his starter again. This then went with an “oh okay?!” back again, my main course remained. Personally, I feel uncomfortable when I eat something in front of someone or have to wait when the food is already there - both of which are somehow strange. I would have liked to have dined together (in fine dining, that's enough). Instead we were left alone for 5 minutes, not knowing what would happen next and I started eating alone. Then the waiter from whom we ordered came and explained to us that he had made a mistake and that it would take a few minutes. After another 5 minutes, thank God, the second meal “already” arrived. That can still happen too. But then I really expect a little “apology”. Be it a coffee while you wait or a schnapps on the house afterwards, an offer of €2 off, whatever! But there could have been some attention there.

Top location with the best view, ambience in the restaurant also very appealing, service very friendly and attentive. Unfortunately we had to wait 1.15 hours until the food came. Schnitzel was extremely thin and extremely dry. Difficult to eat without drinks. Also the fries weren't as they should be. Chanterelles and drinks were very good. We probably had a bit of bad luck with the cook that day.........

Today I was up here at the end of my trip to enjoy the view and have a bite to eat on the terrace. It was closed, but the very friendly colleague Christian from the service offered me the offer in the restaurant, where I actually found a small dish that I had wanted to eat again for ages. Christian, in collaboration with Lotti, the extremely delightful young service employee, gave me the most beautiful seat in the restaurant with a fantastic view and I was served in the most excellent way. The wait for food was made pleasant with home-baked onion bread and delicious seasoned butter. It was actually free. The food itself was excellent, the service was extremely attentive and friendly. I would particularly like to praise the young employee Lotti. I would like to thank you very much for this wonderful hour, which I did not expect because I had actually imagined bratwurst with a view and got something much better.

Als wir das Restaurant betraten, liefen einige Kellner an uns vorbei, ohne uns zu fragen, was wir wünschen. Erst als wir jemanden ansprachen, dass wir reserviert haben, wurden wir zu einem Tisch geführt. Die Karte war recht überschaubar. Eigentlich soll das ja ein Zeichen für ein gutes Restaurant sein, aber etwas mehr Auswahl wäre doch auch gut gewesen. Eine Person von uns wollte vor dem Essen einen Salat, auf den wir alle zusammen sehr lange warten mussten, da ja der Hauptgang dann auch erst danach für alle kommen konnte. Insgesamt haben wir also mindestens 45 Minuten auf unser Essen warten müssen. Das Essen war geschmacklich gut, aber nichts Überragendes. Man hätte da anhand der Preise etwas Besseres erwartet, also das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war unserer Meinung nach nicht in Ordnung. Das Restaurant hat ein schönes Ambiente und der Ausblick ist natürlich grandios, so dass man sich wohlfühlen konnte, aber alles in allem waren wir trotzdem eher enttäuscht und würden das Lokal bestimmt kein zweites Mal besuchen.

A great location...magnificent view...invites you to linger. The drinks are okay, although some are overpriced. For example, I think an Aperol Spritz in the self-service beer garden for €9.50 is exaggerated. The cake and the coffee were okay. The fries were unfortunately too salty and the waiter at the counter wasn't in the mood. But we didn't let it ruin our evening.

We had lunch there yesterday with a large group. I was thrilled. The waiter is a cool guy and he got everything together really well with his colleague. There was a bowl of water for the dog (no problem). We had to pre-order the food, but it was ok for around 40 people. It was well prepared, tasty and filling. Plus the view over the Elbe valley. Awesome. And not even overpriced.

Spontaneous visit to a restaurant for lunch on Whit Saturday We were not only impressed by the view over Dresden and Radebeul, but also by the excellent and warm service from the nice waitress with glasses, who recommended the right wine to go with the delicious food. We'd love to come back.

Obwohl wir uns verspätet hatten, hat man uns sehr freundlich empfangen und zu unserem vorbestellen Tisch gebracht. Dieser stand neben einer äußerst lebhaften Geburtstagsgesellschaft. Die Kellner merkten nach kürzester Zeit, dass uns das störte und setzten uns an einen ruhigeren Tisch! So ging es mit der hervorragenden Aufmerksamkeit des Personals weiter! Das 4 Gänge Menü schmeckte sehr gut und wurde wunderbar präsentiert. Lediglich bei den ersten 2 Gängen war der Koch ein bisschen verliebt! Wir haben den Abend genossen und kommen bestimmt bald wieder!

After more than 6 years, I was here for a business lunch this time. The interior design has changed positively. The food was delicious again and the view over the Elbe valley is priceless anyway. Now to the staff...then as now, I had the feeling that people don't do this because it's their job, but because it's their calling and they have fun entertaining people! What made me particularly happy was that one waiter, whom I nicknamed the mastermind back then: Back then, after the 40x guests were no longer getting drinks at their seats but only at the bar at a late hour, he managed to know exactly which drink or type of wine everyone had previously drunk! ..was back! Dear management, let your employee read this, he will then know that it is him ;-) and congratulations on this great staff!

Very great restaurant, the best we've been to so far. You were warmly welcomed, there was a great atmosphere and you were regularly asked if everything was OK. A big compliment to the trainee there, Rebecca, who hosted us as guests with a lot of warmth and joy. We wish you much success in the further course of your training :) The chefs were great too, the view was perfect. A nice quiet music was played at the same time, so that you could also experience a bit of romance. We will be back! ☺️

Ein Gläschen Sekt zur Begrüßung als herzliches Willkommen und dann ein sehr hochwertiges Frühstück, das keine Wünsche offen lässt. Aufmerksame und sehr freundliche Bedienung runden die Zeit ab. After we arrived at the Spitzhaus terrace hungry after great disappointment (8:45 p.m.) and the kitchen had actually already closed, we were served very nicely and were given seasoned meat made with a lot of love. Many thanks to the entire team, we would be happy to come back.

This review is for the Hofbistro. Our first visit was during the "Tag des Offenen Weinbergs" and the second time on an ordinary summer's weekday evening. On both occasions, we were rewarded with stunning views over Dresden, Radebeul, Niederwartha etc. We even spotted Fortress Königstein on our second visit. The Spitzhaus white wine is definitely a fine drop to enjoy and the meals may be simple, but filling and delicious. During our second visit, the sole staff member was doing everything, but with a smile and considerable ease. My New Zealand fiancé is still praising the Hofbistro, and the two wine glasses we bought as souvenirs and transported back safely (you may want to consider offering them up for sale like Hoflößnitz does), keep reminding him of the great time we spent there with my family.

You can fully recommend this restaurant without any stomach ache! The service is very pleasant and friendly. All of the food was top notch and definitely worth the price! When I'm in Dresden again I'll definitely stop by. Also to enjoy the brilliant view.

We went to Spitzhaus for brunch today. The ambience is nice, the view is wonderful. Our waiter was always in a good mood and always had an easy-going saying. We really liked that. Unfortunately, we were told that you shouldn't eat so much for breakfast because most people don't eat much for lunch. We took this advice but were bitterly disappointed because the breakfast was really the best. We then looked forward to lunch with great anticipation. Unfortunately we were there for 40€ per person. Very disappointed with the offer and the quality of the lunch. We should have filled our bellies for breakfast. The desserts were quite good again. So it's a pretty decent visit, but it's still not what we'd hoped.

Always friendly staff and good fresh cuisine. Well-behaved dogs are also welcome. Feel free to come to the Spitzhaus.

We were in the Spitzhaus restaurant. After a friendly greeting, we went to the reserved table with a view of the city. The service was quick, attentive and humorous. The food was absolutely fabulous. Wonderful aromas, well-portioned dishes and creative presentation made our evening more enjoyable. The quality of the food and service is of course reflected in the price that people are willing to pay for such care and such a view. We look forward to coming back to the Spitzhaus and wish you all the best until we see you again!

Worst snack ever. Inedible food

Schönes und freundliches Ambiente im Restaurant und vor allem bei Sonnenschein ein total toller und weiter Blick ins Elbtal. Das Buffet war sehr ansprechend gestaltet und das Essen sehr abwechslungsreich und lecker. Vor allem der Service ist hervorzuheben, weil unsere Bedienung sehr hinterher war mit dem Abräumen unseres Tisches und immer wieder mal vorbeigeschaut hat, um zu fragen, ob alles in Ordnung ist. Sie war sehr freundlich. :)

A place that I always like to come back to because of the great view, but also to indulge in culinary delights in the restaurant. However, the beer garden also has its own charm.

We were on the terrace with a wonderful view over Radebeul and Dresden. The wines offered were light and fruity. The spritzer sparkled like Prosecco. A trip there is extremely worthwhile for the view alone.
