We discovered this restaurant on the way back home. We really wanted to eat venison goulash but wanted some other side dish instead of Brussels sprouts - it wasn't possible because the dishes are portioned. Very unfortunate. Then we decided on schnitzel. Not much could go wrong and the food was okay.

It doesn't get much better than this! Everything was perfect here, reservations were no problem. Special aperitif on offer, recommended. The food (wild goulash) was delicious, even for spoiled eaters. Very cozy, well-kept atmosphere to feel good. Price/performance fits! Always my pleasure!

I've never been to this restaurant. But I have to say, a brave and (unfortunately) correct decision regarding. of the children. In my opinion, only those affected are upset about the “no children under 12” rule. Because it is precisely this group of people who know how to raise children, but not how to raise them and how they should behave in public. The parents probably act the same way. “Becoming a parent is not difficult, but being a parent is very difficult.” We have 4 children, but we knew how to teach them social etiquette and they knew how to behave. If they had “not” known or been able to do it, e.g. B. due to ADHD etc. then we wouldn't have taken them to a restaurant where the guests expect a reasonably quiet and well-mannered atmosphere and no naughty children who "confuse" the place with the kindergarten or a playground and the would-be parents do not have under control. That's why there's McDonald, Burger King, etc. This has absolutely nothing to do with discrimination, but rather with the incompetence of various parents to raise their children in a sensible, socially acceptable manner. There are no ifs and no buts about it. Keep it up, dear restaurant operators.

We spent 2 cozy evenings here at the end of September. The food was super tasty and the service was excellent. We laughed a lot with the very friendly young woman (waiter) and, when asked, received tips on cooking fried potatoes. The recipe for the pumpkin vegetables was given as a gift from the boss and with a little experimentation with the quantities of ingredients, it tasted almost as good yesterday as it did with the boss 😀. The service was extremely friendly and always there quickly, even though she does everything alone in the restaurant. A nice little restaurant with nice ambience. “dat Schipperhus” is a real gem among restaurants! As soon as you enter the small restaurant you immediately feel at home. The loving furnishings and inviting ambience create a pleasant atmosphere that is perfect for a relaxing evening. The service is exceptionally friendly and attentive without being intrusive. You can immediately tell that a team works here that values ​​its guests and wants to give them an unforgettable evening. The staff's recommendations are excellent - they know the food and its preparation inside and out. The menu offers a wonderful selection of seasonal and regional dishes. Every dish we tried was freshly prepared and creatively presented. The fish dishes in particular are an absolute highlight and reflect the maritime environment. The combination of flavors and textures is perfectly coordinated. For a sweet ending, we treated ourselves to a homemade dessert that was simply heavenly. The wine selection is also remarkable, with a variety of carefully selected wines that pair beautifully with the dishes. Hello, We wanted to eat here with our children a few days ago. Unfortunately none, as children under 12 are not allowed. Ours were 10.5 and 13.5 and are trained. Of course we didn't like it and have never experienced it like that before. Especially when 3 restaurants in the area are no longer operating or are closed and we have a restaurant in a touristy village. We don't know what the operators experienced. In the past 12 days, I haven't noticed that no matter which restaurant we've been to, children are walking over tables and benches. Our kids and we won't be coming back. PS: We never go to fast food chains, and neither do other families.

A very good (cuisine, wine) and very nice (service, reservation) restaurant that we visited as a couple for an anniversary that was very important to us and that even significantly exceeded our high expectations. Good, very friendly and professional advice and quick service. Excellent food (shrimp skewer, fish carpaccio of halibut and salmon, venison goulash, etc.). Everything, including the dressings, is fresh and homemade, no inferior finished products. Good, generous portions, excellent wine from Germany's northernmost winery, Rattey Castle in MV. The price is upscale, but absolutely appropriate given what is on offer, which is by no means a given in the area with its often incomprehensible price-performance ratio. We will definitely come back.

Unfortunately the opening hours are late but the service is great, good value for money and everything is very tasty. Luckily there are no screaming or running around children here either.

Wow, no children under 10 allowed. This only exists in Germany. This beautiful place has become our favorite restaurant on the Baltic Sea. Because here we still cook with love and not just for one season. I haven't been to Shipperhus either, but I would definitely enjoy the peace and quiet while eating. After all, that's why you go out to eat - to enjoy yourself. And you can't do that when naughty children run screaming around the tables because parents are overwhelmed with raising them or have no interest in it. It's easier to do nothing. I fully support this concept. Anyone who has such children should go to a family hotel. But it's probably too loud for them there. Great concept 👍

Vorspeisen (Würzfleisch und Tomatensuppe), Hauptgänge (Scholle sowie Zander und Dorsch) haben uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Der Fisch war sehr frisch und leicht zubereitet. Überraschung beim Wein: es wird Wein vom nördlichsten deutschen Schlossweingut - Schloss Rattey - angeboten. Die junge Servicekraft war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Wir waren sehr zufrieden.

Attracted by chance by the really intoxicating smell of the restaurant, we tried to get a table with our four children. We were kindly but firmly informed that children would not be served. Even though I understand the landlady's extremely frightening experiences and the principle of house rules, I find it a shame that positive examples are not given the opportunity to prove themselves. We would have played Coconut MauMau, Double, Memory or... with the children while we waited. The children had brought these games with them in their backpacks especially for us. The children's reaction, which motivated me to write this review, made me sad, speechless and thoughtful. Despite the landlady's house rules, which are a clear rule and must be adhered to, I wish there was another way of regulating things - along the lines of "Whoever says please and thank you..." Because contrary to some 5-star ratings for that Schipperhus, not all children or families are “tyrants”. Unfortunately, we had to and will continue to avoid this restaurant in the future and I cannot make a recommendation here.

Entgegen der "interessanten" Kommentare war die Atmosphäre sehr angenehm und einige der Beiträge und Bewertungen wurden von Leuten geschrieben, die das Ding niemal von innen gesehen haben und sich einfach nur über eine Entscheidung aufregen wollen, die der tatsächlich zahlende Kunde gutheißen kann. Liebe Wirtin, nicht aufgeben der Sturm verzieht sich wieder. An die empörten : sucht euch ein Hobby und bewertet etwas, was ihr auch tätsächlich erlebt habt.

Die ausgewählten Speisen kamen nach etwas Wartezeit, aber dafür waren sie umso besser! Sowas von lecker! Die Karte ist relativ kurz, aber es scheint alles sehr sehr gut zu sein. Es ist nicht viel Platz im Restaurant, also ist eine Reservierung zu empfehlen. Bei schönem Wetter kann auch draußen Platz genommen werden.

Went to Schipperhus Essen five days ago. It was very, very tasty. We had the trilogy Schipperhus and cod with wild rice and cherry tomato vegetables, this was dream. I'll definitely cook it again. The service was super fast, entertaining, always up for a joke. Thank you Britne!!!!! A small downer nonetheless. When I pre-ordered, I specifically stated that it would be a birthday dinner. Unfortunately there was no sign of it on our reserved table. I think there is still room for improvement, it should be a special evening for me. A pity. Nobody is perfect. Nevertheless, we felt comfortable and the food contributed a lot to that.

Some of the food arrived cold and unfortunately didn't taste as desired. When we asked about it, we weren't treated very nicely. Criticism probably doesn't go down well here.

I've never been to your place myself, but I'd like to make a few comments about "No entertainment for under 12s" because I find the negative reviews on this subject completely wrong! And you get full stars from me, dear innkeeper, for your courageous decision. Dear restaurant operators, I would like to encourage you to take this step further and, above all, to simply rise above the negative reviews in this regard. What is partly posted there speaks for itself in terms of level. YOU have the “domestic rights”. This means you ALONE make the rules and no one else, period! That is a fact and everyone has to stick to it. I also can't get upset if, for example, our two dogs aren't allowed in holiday apartments. I find that a shame and regret it, but nothing more. Then I just have to look for a holiday apartment where dogs are allowed, period. Understanding other people's rules and questioning WHY that is the case is the next step. This is called empathy or understanding for the other person or, in the case of children, self-reflection, which means I look “from the outside” at how my children behave and what is my part in it. There are now enough adult hotels, saunas with access restrictions, etc. etc. Nobody gets upset about that. From my own experience I can confirm that it is now noticed positively when a well-behaved child is in a restaurant and I also compliment these parents. Unfortunately, the opposite is often the case and this is extremely annoying to other guests. I can also confirm that parents do not intervene, guests (including me) then intervene. An absolute no-go, the way some children behave. One has the impression that education rarely takes place anymore. The "guest" (as the word suggests, I am a GUEST on someone else's PROPERTY) has to behave and this also applies to children and the parents are responsible for the behavior of the children. My husband and I definitely enjoy it very much when we can eat and relax in a restaurant. If we were vacationing or living in your corner, we would definitely be regular guests!

You can do it without pre-ordering if you get there on time. Service answers all questions. And answers them politely. Food was good and plentiful.

You can now find a play area in every other restaurant. Why do restaurants only have to cater to families with children? We pay the same price, don't we have the right to enjoy our food in peace?. Our singing bowl society is really annoying. As soon as you say something against children or restrict them, you are a child hater. Our last visit to the restaurant was hell and torture. Our neighboring table was occupied by 3 families with 5 small children. It was sheer horror, even for the poor children. If we're near you, we'd be happy to come by.
