Yes - the food is delicious and, by Wiesbaden standards, something different. Sitting outside in the summer is a wonderful experience. Those are the positives. The negative was the presentation of the food (for this price). It was carelessly thrown onto the plate. Sitting inside, the ambiance is very dark. The price/performance ratio is not justified.

Absolute best falafel I’ve ever had! Vibe inside was fantastic. There were a number of smokers outside the restaurant (I know it’s Europe but still) which is why I reduced the star on atmosphere.

One of my obsessions! I like to get my weekly fix of their delicious hummus. I can make my own but why bother when I can quickly come here and get 2 days worth of pure delight. The dishes are also very tasty. One of my favorites is their Hühnchen salat and it is a soulful one. The owner is also very kind and welcoming so I make it my obligation to show my support!

The restaurant appears nice and welcoming it’s just a wrong impression. I ordered Kibbe as WARM MEZZE as described in the menu and after 1 hour waiting arrived something which had nothing to do with what a kibbe is ( that I have eaten many times) but just as a sort of raw COLD DISH , with no sauces or garnish apart a couple of lettuce leaves. This is the worst experience in a libanese restaurant since 40 years I travel the world. Impossible waiting time and not even what you imagine to get! Never ever again

Arabic restaurant on Kaiser-Friedrich-Platz with some overpriced, rather mediocre food and very inattentive service (at least on our two visits). The King Mazza (a variety of cold and warm appetizers) was overpriced at €21.90 and not suitable for sharing with several people, as the interesting items (falsfel, puff pastry) were only available once. The main courses hardly had any side dishes. Overall, a disappointing dining experience, even considering the many other good reviews. Karim's, a few steps away, is better in every category!

Very, very tasty food. It just took forever to be served. The man at the next table arrived 15 minutes after us and got his food 10 minutes earlier, even though he had ordered exactly the same thing.

We were there for my friend's wedding reception. The venue is beautifully relaxed in the pedestrian zone, with a terrace. The team worked flawlessly and served the guests. The food was delicious and varied.

The lamb meatballs were dry and burnt. The spinach side dish was also dry, reheated, and tasteless. The rice with almonds was cold. Absolutely not recommended.

Ich war im Saytoune mit vier weiteren Leuten ohne Reservierung und wir bekamen einen schönen Platz. Das Essen angefangen bei den Vorspeisen einfach ein Traum für den Gaumen. Alles war perfekt angerichtet und für den südländischen Gast eine Reise zurück in die Heimat. Ich empfehle die Lamm Koteletts mit den Bratkartoffeln als Beilage! Einfach nur wow. Danke wir kommen wieder.

An oriental evening in every sense. The beautiful ambiance, attentive service, and wonderful aromas gave us a little trip to Lebanon. The price/performance ratio is relatively high, but well worth it.

The food is great, but as a guest you are being ripped off because they always say that card payment is “unfortunately” not possible at the moment because the card reader supposedly failed at that very moment. It's happened to me twice now and the consequence is that I won't go there again.

A family-run business with exquisite Lebanese cuisine. The generously stocked appetizer platter and the many small appetizer delicacies are particularly recommended. There's also a thoughtful selection of delicious and highly recommended teas. For me, this is a true insider tip for anyone looking for a culinary change in downtown Wiesbaden. The staff are also very friendly.

Today we celebrated my nephew's 18th birthday here in Saytoune, the team, the whole staff was super nice, great food, the atmosphere in this shop is so nice, we were so happy with the service, so nice and I can only recommend the food and I'm looking forward to coming by again.

Seldom eaten so badly. What is served here as a tagine has nothing to do with a tagine. A tagine is a braised dish where meat was thrown into a soup pot with broth and served on a cold tagine plate. Then a few cold dried apricots were thrown on top and that was it. Unfortunately the starters are not recommended either. Never again. Greetings Karin

Wir hatten Essen bestellt. Das Essen bestand aus Fleischresten und war ungewürzt. Meine persönliche Bescherde wurde leider nicht Ernst genommen. Wir haben uns dann hungrig eine Pizza geholt.

Unser Besuch war leider eine Enttäuschung. Obwohl wir einen Tisch reserviert hatten, war dieser bei unserer Ankunft weder gedeckt noch sauber. Die Begrüßung durch das Personal war wenig herzlich, und während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts fühlten wir uns nicht wirklich willkommen. Nachdem unsere Bestellung aufgenommen wurde, kümmerte sich niemand mehr um unseren Tisch – es wurde nicht gefragt, ob wir noch etwas benötigen. Die Wartezeit auf unser Essen betrug über 40 Minuten, und wir mussten selbst nachfragen, da uns keine Informationen gegeben wurden. Die Vorspeisen kamen gleichzeitig mit den Hauptgerichten, obwohl wir explizit darum gebeten hatten, sie vorher zu erhalten. Auch eine einfache Bitte um zusätzliche Eiswürfel wurde vergessen. Während des Essens erkundigte sich niemand, ob alles in Ordnung sei, und die leeren Teller wurden erst nach langer Zeit abgeräumt. Besonders ärgerlich war jedoch die fehlende Transparenz bei den Preisen und der Zahlungsmöglichkeit. Auf der Website werden günstigere Preise angegeben als in der Speisekarte vor Ort – jedes Gericht war mindestens 2 € teurer. Zudem gab es keinen Hinweis darauf, dass nur Barzahlung akzeptiert wird. Erst beim Bezahlen wurde uns dies mitgeteilt, was zu unnötigen Diskussionen führte. Während wir angeblich nicht mit Karte zahlen konnten, funktionierte die Kartenzahlung plötzlich doch bei anderen Gästen. Erst nach hartnäckigem Nachfragen und dem Eingreifen der Chefin wurde uns Kartenzahlung ermöglicht – allerdings nur für den gesamten Betrag zusammen. Als ich der Chefin unser negatives Erlebnis schilderte, reagierte sie unprofessionell, machte sich vor unseren Augen über das Personal lustig und kam uns in keiner Weise entgegen. Insgesamt war dieser Besuch eine große Enttäuschung. Der Service war unaufmerksam, die Organisation mangelhaft, und die Kommunikation mit den Gästen ließ stark zu wünschen übrig. Fehlende Preistransparenz und intransparente Zahlungsmöglichkeiten machen es leider noch schlimmer. Leider keine Empfehlung.

We ordered a mixed grill plate (€24.90), a beef fillet (€29.90) and hummus (€7.90) as a starter. The grill plate and the hummus were good, but unfortunately the beef fillet was much too hard. Fried potatoes were served as a side dish, some of which were not well fried, almost raw. What was more disturbing was the service and the ambience. It was far too warm (actually rather stuffy), far too loud and generally extremely cramped. We waited over 45 minutes for the food, the ice in the drinks had already completely dissolved and we only got the hummus with the main courses. We paid a total of €70 and the food was pretty average overall.

We have been coming to this beautiful restaurant for many years, love the delicious cuisine and the really warm service. Friends and family are always enthusiastic too. We always have a good time & can only recommend it. ♥️

The price-performance ratio is not given in this restaurant. Quality of the food leaves a lot to be desired. The service was very unfriendly. When asked to pay with the card, the eyes were rolled as if it were something abnormal. No saying goodbye when leaving the restaurant. It used to be a good shop but unfortunately it has fallen into disrepair.

Last week for the first time there, but definitely not the last time. The Lebanese wine went harmoniously and well with the mixed appetizer platter, which was finely and cleverly seasoned. The beef from the tagine was tender, as it should be. The couscous is fine. In contrast to the delicate spices of the starter, this was a bit lacking in sophistication. But it was still very tasty. The mocha afterwards was actually a bit thin, but the cinnamon cardamom tea was even better. Prices in the upper segment. Service very friendly, pleasant atmosphere. See you next time.

This restaurant is one of the best oriental restaurants I have tasted so far. The restaurant has been around for almost two decades and always meets our expectations! Whether you're vegan or a meat lover, you've come to the right place. Thank you, we'll be back.

Atmosphere was very nice. Food was very good. We had some appetizers: Tabouleh (very good), Hummus ( excellent), Arayes Meat ( very good), kebbah (Very good). Main dishes: faroug msahab or boelneless chicken (Excellent+++), mix grill ( less than average). Apart from food, there was one problem which is very long waiting time after order, almost 1hr before the 1st appetizer came. This was also repeated last visit. No card payment!! Prices are relatively high, we paid around 100€ with 2 main dishes and appetizers. Overall I was satisfied and might repeat the visit.

Very expensive and poor service.

Unfortunately, our visit to the restaurant was not particularly satisfactory. • The meal took a long time, which made the visit tiring. • The quality of the vegetables was disappointing - it seemed old and wasn't cut traditionally, but in very large pieces. • The mixed starter platter did not correspond to the description on the menu, some things were missing. • There were no salt or pepper shakers on the tables. • The restaurant is not suitable for families with babies. • All in all, the price-performance ratio is not right. The quality of the product offered does not correspond to the asking price. • In addition, you cannot pay with a debit card and that was not clearly visible. In 2024/2025 it is an absolute no-go for a restaurant where card payment is not possible. We expected more and hope that the service and quality will improve in the future.

Everything was fine: the decorations, the music, of course the cleanliness, and the relaxing atmosphere. Yes, of course, the location in the center of the city 😉. What's stopping you from trying it yourself?

Tasty Syrian for a reasonable price.

It took about 20 minutes until we had our drinks. 45 minutes until dinner. One lamb skewer and one fillet. The portion size was very manageable. A very small bowl of lemon-cilantro fried potatoes for 2 people as a side dish was definitely not enough. The order for a second portion of fried potatoes was then forgotten. Potatoes tasted neither like lemon nor coriander. The fillet was very tender, really tasty, but very difficult to cut without an appropriate steak knife. The mint cream for the fillet was very neutral and was quickly left on the side of the plate. Unfortunately, the lamb had none of the otherwise delicious lamb taste, but was very neutral. All in all a disappointing visit for just under €65 for two people.

I cannot recommend the restaurant to a couple or two people. Groups are definitely preferred. We were squeezed between group tables with our table for two. We were so squeezed in that we couldn't even go to the toilet. Even though we reserved 1 week in advance When dessert was served, we were told that we should pay because a group had just arrived. Another team of two was also kindly thrown out... The food was quite ok. The behavior of the operators meant that you didn't really feel comfortable. That was definitely our last visit there.

Food overpriced. Nothing special. At the beginning the owners seemed friendly, but at the end the woman (waitress) looked around very annoyed, rolled her eyes and looked at her watch several times. Unfortunately very unprofessional and condescending reaction towards the guests. In addition, it was abnormally warm in the restaurant in winter, so you have to dress warmer and it's a T-shirt temperature inside.

CASE FOR ANIMAL PROTECTION!!! On November 20, 2024 at 4:10 p.m. a small white dog, without a leash or owner in sight, runs towards me on Kaiser-Friedrich-Platz and is wandering around in the area. According to other people present, the dog was already near Cafe Blums. He came dangerously close to the road on Friedrichstrasse. I chased the dog and he ran towards Webergasse, still without an owner. In the end, the dog runs into the “Restaurant Saytoune” and when asked, the restaurant employee says that the dog does this often. Clear violation of the leash requirement and general madness to let the dog run around like that.

The food was good, but unfortunately our deal via NeoTaste (2:1 main courses) was not accepted, we were told that it was only valid during the week. This is displayed differently in NeoTaste and is therefore not fair. We also asked right at the beginning, not just when paying. That's a shame and unfortunately doesn't create trust!

The food was very tasty, but the waiting times for the menu, ordering, food and bill were extremely long.

We had eaten here again for a long time and it was an extremely positive experience, we were completely thrilled. As a starter we had the King Mazza platter, as main courses we had lamb skewers and mixed grill specialties. The portions were relatively large compared to other Persian restaurants. The starters were noticeably fresh and homemade, and tasted excellent. The grilled dishes were fried to perfection and had typical charcoal flavors. The open wine was absolutely fair in terms of price-performance ratio at 5.50 euros for 0.2l of a passable green Veltliner and 6.90 euros for a balanced red wine. The service was unobtrusive and very friendly. A very clear recommendation! We'll be back soon.

First of all very chewy beef either bad quality or not well cooked, The staff was not very helpful when i asked to pay by card they declined at the beginning before they said ok. not sure why since they have the option to pay by card. Saytoune is a beautifully decorated oriental restaurant that has a great atmosphere as soon as you enter. The decoration is thought out down to the last detail and creates an inviting and cozy environment in which you immediately feel at home. I tried the kebabs and have to say they were outstanding – juicy, perfectly seasoned and really authentic. You can tell that a lot of emphasis is placed on quality and taste here. Every bite was a joy and the preparation was really great. The only point of criticism would be the rice, which was unfortunately a bit dry and could have had a little more seasoning for my taste. I would also have liked a little more sauce to round off the dish. But these are small things and should not diminish my enthusiasm. All in all, Saytoune is a great place for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic oriental cuisine in a wonderful atmosphere. I will definitely come back and look forward to my next meal there!

Food is delicious, nice atmosphere, good choice for any occasion. We had an unplanned company event for 30 people at this place, surprisingly they were very well prepared and everyone loved this place. We also stayed there pretty long but restaurant employees were very patient and friendly till the very end. Highly recommended.

An Arab Levantine restaurant that serves grills and rice. We tried grills with rice, hummus, and grape leaves. Their work is clean, God willing, and their treatment is sophisticated, even the bathrooms are clean.

Sehr zu empfehlen sind die libanesischen Weine, hier war ich erst skeptisch aber wurde sehr angenehm überrascht. Die Speisenauswahl ist sehr umfangreich, frisch und mit Liebe zubereitet. The Saytoune is qualitatively the best Syrian-Lebanese restaurant in Wiesbaden and also has a prominent location opposite the Kurhaus and the Hotel Nassauer Hof. You are warmly welcomed and served attentively, the price-performance ratio is very good, the menu is extensive and contains many highlights of Arabic cuisine. To be highlighted are the nutty and expressive hummus, the fruity-spicy M'Hamara, all dishes with lamb, the aromatic lemon-coriander fried potatoes and all the doughy matzah, especially the puff pastry pockets. The whole thing is rounded off by an appealing and very fairly priced selection of wines. We are convinced regular guests!

With all sincerity and honesty, it is one of the best Arab restaurants in Wiesbaden. Cleanliness, good reception, and delicious food. You really feel that you are in your country. We are treated abroad. We have approved the restaurant with all our time, even the Kuwaiti Youth Cafe, for all of our requests from it. It has a wonderful location opposite a fountain, an aesthetic view, and an imaginative taste. All thanks to them, and a special mention to Mrs. Umm George.
