Restaurant Saytoune in Wiesbaden

This restaurant is one of the best oriental restaurants I have tasted so far. The restaurant has been around for almost two decades and always meets our expectations! Whether you're vegan or a meat lover, you've come to the right place. Thank you, we'll be back.

Atmosphere was very nice. Food was very good. We had some appetizers: Tabouleh (very good), Hummus ( excellent), Arayes Meat ( very good), kebbah (Very good). Main dishes: faroug msahab or boelneless chicken (Excellent+++), mix grill ( less than average). Apart from food, there was one problem which is very long waiting time after order, almost 1hr before the 1st appetizer came. This was also repeated last visit. No card payment!! Prices are relatively high, we paid around 100€ with 2 main dishes and appetizers. Overall I was satisfied and might repeat the visit.

Very expensive and poor service.

Unfortunately, our visit to the restaurant was not particularly satisfactory. • The meal took a long time, which made the visit tiring. • The quality of the vegetables was disappointing - it seemed old and wasn't cut traditionally, but in very large pieces. • The mixed starter platter did not correspond to the description on the menu, some things were missing. • There were no salt or pepper shakers on the tables. • The restaurant is not suitable for families with babies. • All in all, the price-performance ratio is not right. The quality of the product offered does not correspond to the asking price. • In addition, you cannot pay with a debit card and that was not clearly visible. In 2024/2025 it is an absolute no-go for a restaurant where card payment is not possible. We expected more and hope that the service and quality will improve in the future.

Very warm service, looks like a family business. Food was very tasty, we had lamb as a steak and as a carre. We will definitely come back

Everything was fine: the decorations, the music, of course the cleanliness, and the relaxing atmosphere. Yes, of course, the location in the center of the city 😉. What's stopping you from trying it yourself?

Tasty Syrian for a reasonable price.

It took about 20 minutes until we had our drinks. 45 minutes until dinner. One lamb skewer and one fillet. The portion size was very manageable. A very small bowl of lemon-cilantro fried potatoes for 2 people as a side dish was definitely not enough. The order for a second portion of fried potatoes was then forgotten. Potatoes tasted neither like lemon nor coriander. The fillet was very tender, really tasty, but very difficult to cut without an appropriate steak knife. The mint cream for the fillet was very neutral and was quickly left on the side of the plate. Unfortunately, the lamb had none of the otherwise delicious lamb taste, but was very neutral. All in all a disappointing visit for just under €65 for two people.

I cannot recommend the restaurant to a couple or two people. Groups are definitely preferred. We were squeezed between group tables with our table for two. We were so squeezed in that we couldn't even go to the toilet. Even though we reserved 1 week in advance When dessert was served, we were told that we should pay because a group had just arrived. Another team of two was also kindly thrown out... The food was quite ok. The behavior of the operators meant that you didn't really feel comfortable. That was definitely our last visit there.

Food overpriced. Nothing special. At the beginning the owners seemed friendly, but at the end the woman (waitress) looked around very annoyed, rolled her eyes and looked at her watch several times. Unfortunately very unprofessional and condescending reaction towards the guests. In addition, it was abnormally warm in the restaurant in winter, so you have to dress warmer and it's a T-shirt temperature inside.

CASE FOR ANIMAL PROTECTION!!! On November 20, 2024 at 4:10 p.m. a small white dog, without a leash or owner in sight, runs towards me on Kaiser-Friedrich-Platz and is wandering around in the area. According to other people present, the dog was already near Cafe Blums. He came dangerously close to the road on Friedrichstrasse. I chased the dog and he ran towards Webergasse, still without an owner. In the end, the dog runs into the “Restaurant Saytoune” and when asked, the restaurant employee says that the dog does this often. Clear violation of the leash requirement and general madness to let the dog run around like that.

The food was good, but unfortunately our deal via NeoTaste (2:1 main courses) was not accepted, we were told that it was only valid during the week. This is displayed differently in NeoTaste and is therefore not fair. We also asked right at the beginning, not just when paying. That's a shame and unfortunately doesn't create trust!

The food was very tasty, but the waiting times for the menu, ordering, food and bill were extremely long.

We had eaten here again for a long time and it was an extremely positive experience, we were completely thrilled. As a starter we had the King Mazza platter, as main courses we had lamb skewers and mixed grill specialties. The portions were relatively large compared to other Persian restaurants. The starters were noticeably fresh and homemade, and tasted excellent. The grilled dishes were fried to perfection and had typical charcoal flavors. The open wine was absolutely fair in terms of price-performance ratio at 5.50 euros for 0.2l of a passable green Veltliner and 6.90 euros for a balanced red wine. The service was unobtrusive and very friendly. A very clear recommendation! We'll be back soon.

Unfortunately our experience was not as good as expected. First of all very chewy beef either bad quality or not well cooked, The staff was not very helpful when i asked to pay by card they declined at the beginning before they said ok. not sure why since they have the option to pay by card. Didn’t expect this quality and level of service from such high price Resturant.

Service unfriendly and arrogant. Family business, suddenly you could no longer pay with a card, but only in cash and without an invoice. Mysterious!!!

I went based on my son's recommendation. The food tasted very good. The restaurant is very clean and tastefully decorated. We were warmly welcomed and felt very comfortable and will definitely eat there again. Bassime raba to the staff, Marya barekhlokhun!

Food poisoning of horror. Had to pay in cash and didn't get an invoice. That was my first and last meal of the day before I thought I wouldn't survive the night.

Saytoune is a beautifully decorated oriental restaurant that has a great atmosphere as soon as you enter. The decoration is thought out down to the last detail and creates an inviting and cozy environment in which you immediately feel at home. I tried the kebabs and have to say they were outstanding – juicy, perfectly seasoned and really authentic. You can tell that a lot of emphasis is placed on quality and taste here. Every bite was a joy and the preparation was really great. The only point of criticism would be the rice, which was unfortunately a bit dry and could have had a little more seasoning for my taste. I would also have liked a little more sauce to round off the dish. But these are small things and should not diminish my enthusiasm. All in all, Saytoune is a great place for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic oriental cuisine in a wonderful atmosphere. I will definitely come back and look forward to my next meal there!

Food is delicious, nice atmosphere, good choice for any occasion. We had an unplanned company event for 30 people at this place, surprisingly they were very well prepared and everyone loved this place. We also stayed there pretty long but restaurant employees were very patient and friendly till the very end. Highly recommended.

Very tasty Moroccan food. The mezze starter platter was terrific. Every single dish was excellent and super tasty. Service was very courteous and took care of you quickly and politely at all times. The price is also great for the good quality and portion size. A visit is very worthwhile!

An Arab Levantine restaurant that serves grills and rice. We tried grills with rice, hummus, and grape leaves. Their work is clean, God willing, and their treatment is sophisticated, even the bathrooms are clean.

It wasn't the first time nor the last time, there's nothing to complain about. I've rarely eaten such juicy chicken and all I can say about the starters/desserts is trying something different every time, it's a pleasure. The outside area is good and the staff is great.

Wir waren in den letzten Monaten immer wieder im Restaurant und haben dort sehr schöne Abende verbringen können. Auch unser Hund ist hier sehr willkommen und wurde freundlich empfangen. Sehr zu empfehlen sind die libanesischen Weine, hier war ich erst skeptisch aber wurde sehr angenehm überrascht. Die Speisenauswahl ist sehr umfangreich, frisch und mit Liebe zubereitet. Wir kommen gerne wieder und freuen uns auf den neuen Besuch.

Delicious Lebanese dishes, recommend mixed starters. The chicken breast skewer is tender and juicy. Staff very attentive and accommodating. We will definitely come back there. In summer you can sit outside, even with musical accompaniment!

The Saytoune is qualitatively the best Syrian-Lebanese restaurant in Wiesbaden and also has a prominent location opposite the Kurhaus and the Hotel Nassauer Hof. You are warmly welcomed and served attentively, the price-performance ratio is very good, the menu is extensive and contains many highlights of Arabic cuisine. To be highlighted are the nutty and expressive hummus, the fruity-spicy M'Hamara, all dishes with lamb, the aromatic lemon-coriander fried potatoes and all the doughy matzah, especially the puff pastry pockets. The whole thing is rounded off by an appealing and very fairly priced selection of wines. We are convinced regular guests!

Great food, great service. Really welcoming restaurant. Waiters will bring you a mix of tasting plates if you are not sure what to order. All in all excellent.

Very tasty King Matzza, after which I was full, even though it was called a starter plate. Lots of good little things to try, plus flatbread. Nice place, nice service.

With all sincerity and honesty, it is one of the best Arab restaurants in Wiesbaden. Cleanliness, good reception, and delicious food. You really feel that you are in your country. We are treated abroad. We have approved the restaurant with all our time, even the Kuwaiti Youth Cafe, for all of our requests from it. It has a wonderful location opposite a fountain, an aesthetic view, and an imaginative taste. All thanks to them, and a special mention to Mrs. Umm George.

Oriental restaurant with cold and warm matzo; various grilled dishes, stews and typical desserts. Lamb and chicken are the focus; probably halal. Reasonably priced; Portion size good. Lemonade could have been a little sweeter. My favorite were the falafel and pepper/walnut cream.

Very nice restaurant with friendly service, we have been there several times. This time too, we really enjoyed the food, including the wine. The restaurant was busy and unfortunately it was quite loud. The coziness is somewhat lost. It's better if you can sit outside in warm weather.

Wir waren hier erst nur auf ein Glas Wein nach der Oper, aber weil der spanische Rotwein so großartig war, kamen wir nach einer anderen Oper auf ein kleines Essen (Hummus, Salat, Lammhack-Spieße). Der Service war freundlich und liebenswert, die Qualität der Speisen und Getränke tadellos. Das Restaurant liegt günstig an Kurhaus oder Staatstheater

Das Fleisch und der Tee waren ziemlich gut, genau so wie der Preis und der Standort. Jedoch ist der Rest, wie Gemüse und Couscous sehr stark an Europäischen Geschmack angepasst, weswegen interessante Zutaten als Beilage zum Couscous gewählt wurden.

So jetzt ist es auch mal gut . Das EC —Gerät.geht an jedem zweiten Tag nicht , also Bargeld holen… und Jetzt habe ich zum zweiten Mal die Lieferando Bestellung storniert bekommen , abgeblich wegen einem kaputten Grill . Fakt ist - irgendwas ist immer … Schade , denn das Essen ist nach wie vor top .

Wir waren als Gruppe mit mehr als 15 Personen dort. Die Bedienung war freundlich, aber relativ kurz angebunden. Es war allerdings auch viel zu tun. Auf das Essen haben wir fast 1h gewartet, dafür erhielten wir unser Essen aber auch alle gemeinsam. Geschmacklich war das Essen solide, jedoch nichts Bemerkenswertes. Die Toilette ist nur über eine Treppe erreichbar, war aber sehr sauber. Es waren Boxen mit Kosmetiktüchern zum Händeabtrocknen aufgestellt und scheinen dort der Standard zu sein. Am Ende stellte sich herraus, dass man temporär nur bar zahlen konnte, was einige Mitglieder der Gruppe in eine unangenehme Situation brachte.

Sehr freundlich und das Essen hat gut geschmeckt.

Nette Bedienung und leckeres Essen

Visited on a Monday evening in August. Sat outside. We love Lebanese food (having lived for four years in the Middle East), and we are happy to say that this place did not disappoint. Excellent and wide-ranging menu, food was delicious, portions were generous, and the staff was attentive.

Wir waren an einem warmen Samstag Abend hier essen. Draußen waren viele Tische mit vielen Gästen. Wir hatten reserviert gehabt, aber auch ohne Reservierung würde es gehen, da keine uns nach Reservierung gefragt hat. Das Essen war sehr lecker. Mit der Service waren wir nicht sehr zufrieden, da mein Mann den bestellten Getränk erst zu Hauptmahlzeit bekommen hat. Wir haben mehrmals darauf hingewiesen. Vielleicht lag es daran, dass es zu voll war und einige Servicekräfte dadurch sehr hektisch waren.

We ordered the lamb tagine, chicken salad, eggplant, and lamb and onion pocket. The highlights were the mains (tagine and salad). Tagine was flavourful and tender, portion size was more than enough for one person. The salad was beautiful, chicken cooked well, and the portion size was good. The eggplant was disappointing (cold, and there were only about 4 slices of eggplant - mostly the dish consisted of peppers) and a very small plate. The lamb appetiser was delicious , and we had plenty of pita with our order. Overall, a comforting meal and cozy atmosphere - excellent mains

Sehr freundlicher Service, man sitzt im Sommer auch sehr schön draußen im Innenhof. Das Essen war in Ordnung, wobei der Fattusch-Salat eher 08/15 gemischter Salat war. Der Vorspeisenteller etwas phantasielos, hauptsächlich mit Humus.

Ich kann nur sagen dass das essen einfach hervorragend schmeckt , und man hat die ganze Zeit das Gefühl bei Freunden in einem herzlichen Atmosphäre zu sein, das liegt an den team und vor allem die Jasmin , die mit Freude und Herz-Blut dabei ist.

Schönes orientalisch-arabisches Restaurant mit authentischen Speisen. Auf der Terrasse sitzt man sehr schön nahe dem Kurpark. Das Personal ist sehr gastfreundlich.
