Whenever we're at Doktorsee, we always enjoy coming here. The food and service are great!

We were there on the weekend. The service was very attentive and very child-friendly. The food selection was great, with something for everyone and was very tasty. The outdoor area was lovely, and what's even better is that there's a playground near the restaurant for the kids to enjoy when they get bored ;)

The atmosphere in the restaurant is fine, but it would be nice if the ambiance were modernized a bit to create a more welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, the wine was no longer drinkable during our visit. Although it was replaced after our complaint, it was only after a long wait and repeated inquiries. According to the staff, this problem occurs regularly – why no permanent solution has been found is difficult to understand. The salad buffet was initially almost empty, but was refilled shortly afterwards. However, the plates provided should definitely be checked, as some were not completely clean or chipped. This shouldn't happen even in a restaurant on a campsite. The menu seems a bit confusing: Some dishes are listed twice, which is confusing. A revised, clearly structured menu would be highly recommended. The food is generally tasty, but doesn't stand out. The portion sizes are good, but the dishes are more reminiscent of snack bar quality. Anyone expecting restaurant-quality food here will unfortunately be disappointed. Furthermore, our order didn't come with the requested side dish. I'd like to highlight the staff, who are very friendly and attentive – even if the service seemed a bit overwhelmed that evening. Overall, there's potential, but it needs new motivation and a few changes to raise the quality again.

The food is always great, but the barrier to access the Doktorsee grounds is annoying 🙃 Unfortunately, I couldn't get to the restaurant yesterday because the barrier wouldn't open. 😞 I called several times and after a while, I found another restaurant. I'm giving up now - what a pity 🤷‍♂️

We went there for the first time yesterday. We waited 30 minutes for the drinks and almost 2 hours for the food. We asked politely how long the food would take. They then asked the kitchen, and 10 minutes later the food arrived. Anyway, we sent half back and I paid in full anyway. The waiter then asked if everything was okay. I said no. Out of nowhere, what looked like the owner appeared and barked at me, telling us to see what was going on and what I could think of. He then went straight to a neighboring table and got upset, even though I spoke calmly and objectively and, above all, had paid. He obviously can't take criticism. But you hear a lot of bad things about Samos, and now we've had that experience too. This guy is unbelievable.

We stopped here on Monday and were not disappointed. Prompt service, friendly staff, and super delicious food. The price is perfectly reasonable for the quality. The only thing that could be improved is the instant mayonnaise. It creates a slightly snack-like atmosphere. The ambiance is a bit dated, but that didn't bother us and was overshadowed by the friendly staff and quick service. Thank you very much. We'll be happy to come back.

Unfortunately, there wasn't a nice restaurant, so we ate outside. The service was very friendly and nice, dogs were allowed, and their bowls were outside. The food was very good, with a generous portion, and we received a welcome glass of ouzo 👍. I thought the prices were reasonable.

I highly recommend this restaurant and don't understand the bad reviews. Our food, at least, was very good, and the service was friendly. We'll definitely be back next time we're at Doktorsee. 😉👍

Greek restaurant at the Doktorsee campsite. Friendly staff, delicious food, although you have to order the tzatziki separately for €5.80 for many meat dishes. The ambiance is a bit old-fashioned. Overall, though, it's recommended. We would come again.

A simple restaurant. The staff was very nice, no doubt, but the food wasn't exactly the best. When I order gyros with fries, I think I can't go wrong. Unfortunately, the meat was very dry and not well seasoned. I don't want to speak ill of the place; it may not have been the best day, but I was disappointed. Well, it was very nice there, right on the lake.

I ordered two gyros to go from there today. Once with fries, once with rice, once just coleslaw, and once with a mixed salad. Unfortunately, this was not taken into account. We got two gyros with fries and a mixed salad. Nevertheless, I have to say that I was not disappointed at all with the mixed salad. There was a lot of variety, and as someone else wrote, the feta cheese was absolutely fantastic. The gyro was perfect for us because it was very tender and not dry. The seasoning was also very tasty. The price-performance ratio is absolutely justified. The next time we are at Doktor See, we will definitely order from there again, or rather eat there.

I highly recommend this place; they serve excellent Greek food at a good price. The meat was always excellent, and the Corfu platter is highly recommended. The portions are so large that there's always something left over for the next day. A lovely, always fresh salad buffet with delicious feta cheese, lovely olives, and a very tasty sauce rounds out the offerings. There's an ouzo before and after each meal. They're also very dog-friendly. And the service is friendly, and there's nothing to complain about. We love going here regularly!

Unfortunately, the service was very poor. Glasses, for example, had been empty for a long time, and no one asked if they enjoyed the food or anything like that. The food was so-so; you only need to look at the other reviews for the gyros. The atmosphere was actually okay, but due to the cobwebs everywhere and the cleanliness, it only gave it one star. When paying, you had to calculate the change yourself for the employee. It was pretty cheeky to put €14 on the counter for €15 in change (already rounded up with the tip, despite the bad experience...) and say, "Okay." Wow...speechless, we wanted to give the restaurant a chance despite the bad reviews from friends. Wouldn't recommend it.

Not particularly outstanding. We went there with friends, and unfortunately, none of us really enjoyed the food. It was rather tasteless. Unfortunately, we must have been having a bad day when it came to the friendliness of the service. As we discussed the food, we received approving nods from the table next to us. So, it seems this wasn't just our impression. Furthermore, there's no diaper changing station. We had to change our child in the car in the parking lot.

My visit to this Greek restaurant was unfortunately a huge disappointment. I ordered gyros and a vegetarian stir-fry – both were absolutely delicious. The gyros was dry, barely seasoned, and chewy. The vegetarian stir-fry seemed to have been thrown together quickly, with no flavor or seasoning at all. The side dishes were equally disappointing. Everything was served lukewarm – the fries were soft and mushy, the rice dry and cold. The so-called "tomato rice" was particularly disgraceful: It was barely red, had no tomato flavor, and looked more like plain, old white rice. The salad was also not fresh and presented with a total lack of love. I had completely different expectations for a Greek restaurant – unfortunately, I was completely disappointed. I definitely won't be coming back. I don't recommend it!

We were guests at the campsite over the weekend and wanted to end our last evening with a visit to a restaurant. My husband and I both ordered a portion of gyros. The price was okay, but without tzatziki, which had to be ordered separately (but a large portion for €5.80!). We didn't like the gyros, it wasn't seasoned enough and wasn't well fried, it had a strange consistency and nothing like the gyros we usually know. We then told the waitress our criticism of the kitchen and noticed that several people at the neighboring table were also complaining about the gyros. It's a shame about our last evening and the delicious food we had hoped for...

Rarely have I had such bad gyros. 1 star is still too much!! Not recommended.

Very nice service And a great salad buffet with delicious feta cheese. In my opinion, the gyro meat could be a little crispier and more cooked, the skewer was super tasty. All in all a good visit, we'll be back

Positive: You can still get a good seat without a reservation. The waitresses were very friendly (with one exception, more on the negatives in a moment). Negative: Gyros with Metaxa sauce are totally over salted and the meat is tough and gristly. Side dish portion size (fries/croquettes) far too small. Mayo only after asking twice. A male waitress behaved arrogantly and with “no interest” and even made fun of the other good waitresses. Later, this person also drove quickly through the campsite where there were children.

It's one of those restaurants that you find by accident. Not because they're so hidden, but because they're in places I wouldn't normally want to go. The Samos restaurant is at the campsite at Lake Doctor, and when I went in for the first time it was like going back in time. It has that wonderful old charm and the owner is one of the nicest people I've met recently! The food was really great, the service was attentive, and I felt really comfortable. It's not a "fancy" restaurant or the "hippiest" thing there is, but it's honest and you can tell you're proud of it.

Right on the Doctor Lake. You have to pay for food and drinks yourself. Costs cannot be covered by health insurance.

Hello, my wife and I were at the Doctor's Lake over the weekend and visited the Samos restaurant. We were greeted very nicely by the waitress and our ordered drinks were served super quickly. There was nothing wrong with either mine or my wife's meal. The meat was super tender and very tasty. There was salt and pepper on every table to season to taste. We felt very comfortable at Sanos. The ambience could perhaps be worked on a bit, but for us the food is what counts most. maybe we'll see each other again

I can only recommend the restaurant! The food is very tasty and I am especially impressed by the salad bar! The staff are also very friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is cozy. Will definitely go there again to eat.

The restaurant is in the middle of a campsite, the parking lot outside is free, but the walk across the site is worth it. The portions of the grilled plates and vegetarian dishes are large and reasonable for the prices. The salad bar, however, is sparse. The tzatziki has a little bit of garlic. Visiting with a dog is easy.

Gyros super tasty. The owner asked how it tasted and then gave us a round of ouzo on the house.

Very, very unfortunate. Were in the beer garden in the summer, Ouzo platter, almost perfect. Very pleasantly cooked and nice flavors. 14 days ago, overall okay, a little salty. Now again: Gyros and skewers totally over salted, gyros probably not fresh either. When addressed to the boss: that's the way it is, no one has complained yet. Okay, then I assume that you only eat in Samos when there is a lot going on, i.e. in summer. Then the goods are probably fresh. Thank you

We were there last Sunday and were welcomed and served positively by the service lady! Our drinks were quickly at the table and our food arrived at our table good and fresh! We were there for dinner with our annoying dogs! Everyone was friendly and tolerated us. I ordered fillet in Metaxxa sauce with onions and mushrooms. I got sirloin steak in tomato sauce with peppers and onions. There were also fries. Cherie ordered the Sparta plate and received it😁✌🏼 We were totally satisfied, even though I received something different than what I ordered. But hey: we're chilling on vacation! We'll definitely come back next time ❤️

Six people came from a neighboring campsite and ended up here by chance. All six were very satisfied with the food. The ambience is very cozy and the atmosphere is very relaxed, familiar. Next year again.

We were very pampered there. When there was a thunderstorm we were allowed to go under the pavilion as a matter of course. Were there with four children. That wasn't a problem either! The food was super delicious! We'd love to come back!! 🥰🥰🥰

Today I just want to drink a beer “just for fun”. It worked well too. The service staff didn't know that we just wanted something to drink, but they apologized in advance because there were fewer staff on duty today. We placed our order and everything went well. Great team in advance. I expected good food and what I got was fantastic. No. 64 and 68 liver on point, sauce great, remaining meat juicy. Great food, great prices. Everything was super good. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures. As a camper you have rarely had such good Greek food!!!!!

We ate here several times while on vacation. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. We also found the quality of the food to be very good and, above all, sufficient! Particularly worth mentioning is the salad buffet, simply amazing, and also price/performance. The ambience is a bit old, but there's something about it - none of us are getting any younger. We can definitely recommend Samos.

Yummy! The feta on the salad buffet in particular is melt-in-your-mouth. We shared the Thessaloniki platter with a salad for two and were very satisfied. Personally, I don't care about the ambience if the food and everything else is good. See you next time!

An amazing service that is hard to beat for attention and is extremely friendly with the guests. Gladly again at any time. The house and the furnishings are more from the 80s but I just wanted to eat delicious food and you can definitely do that. Extremely delicious and always a pleasure.

The gyros is definitely recommended. However, the other meat dishes such as suflaki and lamb chops were often a little overcooked, probably due to the delivery. Overall, I have always been very satisfied with my orders.

We were there for dinner. The grill plates were really good. The different types of meat were all properly grilled. Nothing was dry or anything like that. There was a small salad buffet, with fresh tomatoes, feta cheese, olives and a few other things to choose from. This harmonized perfectly with the grill plates. The white wine wasn't bad either, it wasn't the Retzina The children had French fries and croquettes with chicken nuggets, which weren't that great, but that was bearable for the price. The children were kept busy in the nearby playground before and after eating. Since the weather was wonderful, we ate outside. In conclusion: Always my pleasure.

Went to Samos / Doctorweide at Doctorsee today. Tasty and enough to eat. Less than €50 for two good meals including a side dish and salad, with a glass of wine and two large Dark Doctor Sees. Plus ouzo before and after the meal at the house's expense. Staff very friendly...

Great hope for a delicious “Greek”. The space resembles an older canteen. The joy of delicious food was still great. Unfortunately, I was happy too soon. Meat dry and the gyros a dry lump! It's incomprehensible that something like this comes from the kitchen. The fries were great and warm too. Actually, the “Greek” always has a lot on its plate, including here. But what use is the crowd when dead fried meat and lumpy gyros are served. The waitress couldn't help it, the two of them were nice. Conclusion, I have never had such a bad meal at a “Greek”!!!! Immer wieder mal Kurzurlaub am Doktorsee, und dazu gehört auch immer ein Besuch im Restaurant Samos. Freundliches und aufmerksames Personal sorgt für einen schönen Aufenthalt. Das Essen war wie immer super lecker, Preis Leistung stimmt für uns zu 100 Prozent. Für uns der Grieche den wir gerne bei uns um die Ecke hätten. Danke Restaurant Samos und bitte weiter so.

Personal höflich und zuvorkommend

Gestern haben wir das zweite mal via Lieferando bestellt, da wir beim erstens wirklich begeistert waren. Die Betonung liegt auf waren. Denn was gestern kam war keine 45 Euro wert. Wir hatten u.a. Saganaki. Beim ersten mal echt super. Gestern war es lieblos paniert und das Brot was drunter war, beim letzten Mal super lecker und knusprig, gestern nur matschig und vom Geschmack her einfach nur fettig. Das Gyros was ich bestellt hatte war kalt und die Pommes labberig als ob sie gekocht und nicht frittiert wurden. Das war beim letzten Mal auch anders. Darüber hinaus hatte das Essen nur Zimmertemperatur. Das Knoblauchbrot war auch matschig. Den Grillteller will ich gar nicht weiter erwähnen. Alles in allem war es einfach nur traurig. 3 Sterne habe ich nur gegeben weil das erste mal echt super war. Aber einen weiteren teueren Versuch werden wir nicht Unternehmen, wenn die Qualitätsunterschiede so eklatant sind.
