Restaurant Salsa Mexicana in Berlin

Rather unassuming from the outside. Unique atmosphere inside. Very friendly staff. The portions aren't very large, though. The cocktails are excellent.

The music and the ambience are just perfect, I couldn't describe it any other way or better (Juice Wrld played here (a song))

I went there with a friend and had a meal. It was delicious. We ate extra slowly because we wanted to savor it. Definitely recommended.

It's a shame it's not what it used to be. You should definitely work on your cooking skills.

Once and never again ordered the rump steak is full of fat and gristle, the schnitzel the same, we waited over an hour for it not recommended

Unfortunately, it's deteriorated considerably. They don't respond to criticism, so it's not important. Food: Croquettes were undercooked, some were cold, and some of the corn cakes were burnt, but they couldn't be filled anyway because the pieces were much too large. We also ordered chicken wings, which were completely burnt. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend them.

Sauces paid for separately were not served. The €16 appetizer platter consisted mostly of fries, croquettes, and potato wedges. No fruit was served, nor were the pictured meat skewers. The beef fajita dish consisted of three-quarters peppers and onions.

Nice simple food, cheap cocktails, cool decor. Was nice and quiet on a Sunday evening.

Very friendly staff, but some of them don't understand German very well. I had to ask for a blanket because my seat was broken and I was only wearing a few short clothes, which would have been uncomfortable to sit on. The menu has some stupid labels. My meal, for example, was filled with spicy sauce, but it wasn't on the menu! They exchanged it straight away without any problem. I then had to take the food with me because the others had finished by then, of course. And you can only pay in cash, as the card reader is broken.

A nice restaurant a few steps away from the Lichtenberg U/S/DB station. The food was served quickly and the portion was generous. The vegetarian tacos were very tasty. The service was kind as well.

Great place for a quick bite and a good drink

Good food for a good price! I had the baked potato with prawns and the diabolito's. Really liked both, the jalapeños were fried very crispy! most people would have enough with one of their affordable dishes and a bite to share. Cocktails are cheap, even outside of happy hour. Nothing mind-blowing, but definitely good for the price.

Six of us spontaneously went for a meal here, fast and friendly service. The food came for everyone at the same time and tasted very good. Prices are fair. I would recommend it...

This is not Mexican food. Not even close. Not even a “Europeanized” version of it. It has absolutely nothing to do with Mexican food! Basmati rice?! Do you know Mexico is not in India? “Enchiladas” that are stuffed with carrots and cauliflower? Whyyyy… every Mexican would cry seeing this. And the spices… where is the cilantro, the cumin, the lime juice? It just tastes like “the average German person made a stir fry with whatever they had in their fridge and put it in a tortilla and thought that means it is Mexican now” 🤷🏻‍♀️even the hot sauce had a mere hint of spicyness at most 🥲 That said, the food did not taste horrible, it was edible, just not Mexican in any way shape or form, but still I’ll give 2 stars for that.

Food always tasted good there. Prices are not too high. Price performance completely okay. You can sit inside and outside. Outside, of course, it's directly on Weitlingstrasse, a bit loud, but it's part of the neighborhood. There are cocktails, taste good.

Had enchiladas. The food didn't smell good. I tried some of the beans and the enchiladas - it didn't work at all.

Burger consists of ready-made ingredients, zero taste, frozen fries. Chili con carne was just spicy. Zero taste. Main course came during the starter. So bad service. So it was the first and last time there.

It's extremely frightening to hear the owner screaming like that. His screaming could be heard all the way to the bus stop yesterday! And he was standing inside at the counter! This is damaging to the entire neighborhood because it doesn't have control over itself. It makes you afraid to go back to the restaurant. I think the man needs help!

I had to wait forever for my food. The people next to us then got their food even though they had ordered after us. Staff was taciturn and apparently poorly coordinated. Food was ok, but not really worth the price.

I delivered food online and have never experienced anything like this. My order arrived more than 30 minutes late (after the delivery time was already 1 hour) and still lukewarm. The 3x Taccos I ordered were damaged, so I was able to throw them away immediately and not use them. Meanwhile, the taccos were not filled in advance, but were simply wrapped in foil as a simple shell, which speaks for poor service and inferior quality. The best thing was the filling of my taccos, which consisted of only two types of meat in a separate form, soaked in oil and garnished with a few vegetables. Not appetizing at all and not something I would put in a taco... The baked potato was lukewarm and so was the sour cream that was included, which should actually be stored in a cool place. The extra portion of "nachos gratinated with cheese" was the biggest disappointment, the cheese had already dried solid and some of the nachos were very mushy. This shop is nothing more than a bad snack bar.

Not good service! We just had a drink. We had to wait forever before we were even served. The beer was warm and almost non-carbonated, as was the rhubarb spritzer. No recommendation!

The Mexican restaurant offers a solid experience with an extensive menu, authentic dishes and fair prices. However, the streetside spaces are less relaxing as frequent fire and police operations increase the noise level. The indoor areas offer a quieter and more pleasant atmosphere. Overall, an okay choice for a no-fuss Mexican meal, drinks and cocktails.

The restaurant is on a commercial street and that detracts from the ambience. There are seats outside under a large tree and under umbrellas. Since I always eat the same thing, I can't judge the other dishes. I'll go there again.

Spicy food wasn't spicy. The Tabasco was watered down or had no 'power'. Rooms are getting old, especially the toilet area. Mango Colada missed the mango.

Do not recommend! I had a very bad experience. I ordered my food from Leiferando at 12 p.m., at 12:40 the restaurant calls me saying they don't have a driver and can't deliver. I was very hungry and sad that they didn't tell me before 12pm... but whatever. I said please cancel the order. Salsa Mexicana did NOT do that and Leiferando still charged me for the amount of the order. I lost my money! I called the restaurant, complained and the restaurant said it wasn't their problem. No apology or compensation. Very bad service - they stole my money.

Delicious and high quality food. Lots of cocktails on offer. These are professionally prepared and (in my opinion) alcohol is not skimped on. Cocktail happy hour from 6 p.m. Friendly staff. Cozy atmosphere.

It was my first time really eating Mexican food and I was thrilled. Everything fresh, good portions. I enjoyed it very much. There are also delicious cocktails. Happy hour at certain times. A remarkable selection. I wasn't inside. The weather was nice and you could sit outside. OK. you sit right on the street. Not that great, but it wasn't that bad either.

4-, food was good and plenty however the tap beer had zero carbonation, disappointing and unnecessary. Plus for card payment which is not a given outside the tourist streets

Im Leben würde ich hier nicht mehr essen gehen. 2 Mal gegessen und 2 mal 3 Tage Magen-Darm-krank gewesen. Das Essen ist nicht gut und ich habe so meinen Verdacht, was hier zum Teil serviert wird. Getränke ohne Eis und Zitrone aus zum Teil noch schmutzigen Gläsern, Besteck ebenfalls schmutzig. Ich kann diesen Laden wirklich nicht empfehlen, tut mir leid.

Leider hat der Geschmack des Essens und die Qualität sehr nachgelassen. Die Salatbeilage war sehr trocken (alt) dafür war die Tomate matschig und der Buritto wollte nicht mehr Teil meines Lebens sein (ca. 30min später). Das Personal telefonierte fast die ganze Zeit über den Lautsprecher seines Handys.

Das Restaurant entspricht den lokalem Flair, ist gut besucht gewesen, Speisen waren wie zu erwarten gut, besonders die Pommes waren an diesem Abend Spitze...aber auch die typisch mex. Speisen sind gut von den Gästen bewertet worden.

Hatten heute 49. Hochzeitstag und ich wollte mal nicht kochen. Durch Erkältung war auch ein persönlicher Besuch nicht möglich. Also alles per Telefon. Es kam zwar etwas später als bestellt, aber wir waren nicht unter Zeitdruck. Das Essen war noch schön heiß und sehr geschmackvoll. Der Salat war frisch und knackig. Also wir waren sehr zufrieden. Danke.

Extremely overpriced for not such great food, we ordered chicken enchilladas and the food did not marry well, beans and rice were served in one corner, sour cream and salad in one and then the chicken enchilladas with only chicken inside. It didnt taste like an authentic mexican meal.

Wr hatten am 23.09.23 um 15.55 Uhr bestellt und 2 x nach 1 Stunde und 1,5 Stunde im Restaurant Salsa, Weitlingstraße, nachgefragt. Beim 2. Mal hieß es, wir liefern nicht nach Marzahn. Wir glauben dem nicht und vermuten, dass das Restaurant versagt hat, aber auch das Liefersystem. Fazit: am besten im Restaurant telefonisch bestellen oder persönlich hingehen. Lieferdienste und das Restaurant sind für uns zukünftig gestorben. Man hätte auch ehrlich sagen können, dass das Essen falsch oder gar nicht bestellt oder geliefert wurde. Ehrlichkeit ist immer besser!!!

Leckeres Essen, gute Preise, guter Service.

Mit mexikanischer Küche hat das ungefähr so viel zu tun wie Hertha mit der ersten Liga.

Wir waren mit 7 Personen dort Essen und trinken. Alles war sehr lecker und Preis Leistung stimmt. Buritos und Spare Ribs und sogar die Burger sind sehr zu empfehlen. Der Service bzw Bedienung hat einen guten Job gemacht . Immer gerne wieder.

Unter mexikanischem Essen verstehen wir etwas anderes. Keines der Gerichte enthielt Salz. Weder das Fleisch, noch die Saucen oder die Pommes, die Kartoffeln oder der Reis. Die Pilze waren ...sind die aus dem Glas oder TK? Gruselig die Konsistenz. Die waren niemals frisch geschnitten. Die Portionsgröße hätte auch in eine kleine Frittenbox gepasst. Wir waren entsetzt (haben überlegt, ob da jemand vor dem Verpacken was gegessen hat). Eine Frechheit das als mexikanische Küche zu bezeichnen. Bestellt hatten wir auch Ananaskokossaft. 3.90 Eur zu verlangen für eine Packung aus dem Einzelhandel für 1.60 ist dreist. Und geliefert wurde reiner Ananassaft. Hier bestellen wir nie wieder. Für die Qualität und den Preis koche ich dann doch lieber wieder selber für uns. Und bestellen werden wir lieber da, wo wir wissen was wir bekommen. Wir sind richtig wütend. Schade dass man einen Stern geben muss um zu bewerten. Das war nichtmal einen Stern wert.

Geschmackloses Essen, unfreundliche Bedienung und extrem eklige Toiletten. Es wäre mal an der Zeit hier das Gesundheitsamt vorbei zu schicken. Für mich eine Lokalität die man absolut nicht empfehlen kann.

The food in itself was ok. I ordered an enchilada con picadillo, the beans were not fresh, and I found a hair inside. The owner or whoever brushed it off as the wind outside, and they brought me a new plate, where another hair was on the vegetable this time.

Haben uns alle vegetarischen Gerichte liefern lassen. Das war eine teurer Fehler. Die Mengen sind gut, daß Essen leider nicht.

Die Vorspeise war grauenhaft und der Hauptgang das selbe! Die Cocktails haben mein Laune nicht zum überkochen gebracht! Erster und letzter Besuch!

Das Essen war sehr gut. Preislich vollkommen in Ordnung. In einer ruhigen Gegend. Klein aber fein muss man sagen. Beim nächsten Berlin-Besuch gerne wieder.
