PocoLoco Cantina Mexicana & Cocktailbar Prenzlauer Berg in Berlin

I enjoyed this place yesterday! The cocktails tasted good and it was only 5,90€, absolutely worth the money 💶 The Nachos also tasted really good to me 😋 The atmosphere was comforting, had both young and old crowd. It was not too loud so I could talk to my friend not being too loud ;) I’d definitely go there again !

Don't go here if you expect Mexican food. The burrito is filled with overcooked rice and the chicken is tasteless. The gucca mole is green, but tastes nothing and I suspect it is pre-made. Pico de gallon is gray and sad. The piccanta salsa tastes mostly like nothing. Why does the tasteless salad contain an orange wedge? We ate a total of 4 courses and it's basically no cooking noticeble and absolutely no love. The service was very sleepy. However! the drinks are good. avoid the food but go there for the drinks!

I ordered from Lieferando, the food was warm, but that's not the problem. Order came a little later. On time as it said on the website. The ground beef borrito was moist, cut in two, then spread with tomato sauce? I didn't order "Borrito Lasagna". The guacamole was liquid, so I can make better guacamole (fresh instead of old). There was hardly any cheese on it. Guacamole looked almost a day old and sour cream came separately even though it said it came together. The food doesn't have that much taste. Potato wedges were in an aluminum "pie form", which didn't make the potatoes crispy either. Moist but, better if they had put it in a cardboard container (the heat made the potato wedges moist) The queso I added wasn't even queso. It arrived in a small plastic container and had no taste. An orange-yellow sauce that is not freshly made. I got a salad dressing as an extra and there was orange in it too? The food is not worth the price. Waste of money. Packaging also could have been better. Tell me, what's that supposed to mean? The only thing that was freshly made were the potato wedges!! Where is the boss and managing director? At least not professionally!! The food didn't look freshly prepared but rather LAZY ready-made dishes kept in the fridge and put in the microwave!!😡 I should have listened to other people's reviews.

The food was frozen food across the board, over €8 for 6 thawed chicken wings with supermarket - BBQ sauce is simply cheeky. The main courses arrived cold after sitting in the serving hatch for 10 minutes. The service staff is overwhelmed and unprofessional. Dishes are left on tables for 30 minutes, guests are forced into places they don't want. Apparently you have time to look for songs on YouTube. The place looks nice, but the ambience is disturbed by YouTube advertising at high volume and inappropriate music (e.g. Sadeness - Enigma). An absolute disaster.

we had to wait 25 minutes for a tea. which is literally hot water with a teabag in it. it was not busy at all and other people who came in later got their drinks before we got our tea. when we said something he was like THE TEA IS COMING! and then we finally got the tea. DONT ORDER TEA IN THIS PLACE. the music is also super gay. if you have too much time and love gay music this is ur spot

Abysmal bad food, never experienced anything like it!!! A burrito was delivered incorrectly, instead of a burrito vegetariana (according to Lieferando filled with fresh vegetables, cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream and lettuce) a burrito filled with rice and green beans came. There was long black hair on the other burrito (see photo) and the salad that came with it already had brown edges and had completely collapsed. When we called the restaurant we received no help; they acted as if they didn't understand my concerns in either German or English. When a Lieferando employee called them again, they said they couldn't refund the money without their boss present (Thanks for nothing.)

Mm, that was a delicious and cozy evening. We ate and sat well. Thank you for that!

Went to this bar spontaneously in the evening for a drink. They kindly provided us with a place for us on a Friday evening. After we sat down, it took 15-20 minutes until we were served (after the boss pointed out that we hadn't been served yet) and another 15-20 minutes until our drinks were ready. These were also pretty inedible. Unfortunately very disappointing!

LOVE IT. Guys! Do not expect a good or authentic restaurant here… but: The drinks are extremely cheap and atmosphere is always great!!!! Baked Nachos with cheese are pretty good as well!! Love this place

Huge selection of mexican food and cocktails with affordable prices

We ordered enchiladas there and they were hands down the worst enchiladas we have ever eaten. The rice was just plain white rice (usually you get seasoned rice here). The beans were so sour that we suspected they were bad. And the enchiladas were dry and crumbly and filled mainly with cauliflower. It was really really bad and I wish we hadn't ordered there.

Wonderful place for Mexican food. I ordered the combination of all starters and a burrito and a few frozen margaritas. Everything was reasonably priced and the atmosphere of the place was really beautiful

The service is extremely unfriendly and almost aggressive. I ordered a cocktail without ice because it was extremely cold outside... and a minute after I ordered, another waiter comes and almost shouts at me that this cocktail doesn't work without ice and what would I think of ordering something like that. I then said that less ice would be okay, and he made it clear to me again that that wasn't possible in a very strict tone. A few minutes later we receive our drinks and of course mine was filled only with ice... and to make matters worse, about 20 minutes later the cellar comes and aggressively puts a glass full of tonic on the table (apparently so that I can dilute the cocktail ) without saying anything, even though I didn't complain or anything like that. When we had paid and even tipped over 20%, a cellar comes with his rag and wipes the table where we are all still sitting and comes extremely close to us :/ (wipes our hands with the rag) All in all I wouldn't recommend the store because of the extremely poor service and rudeness. We also sat right next to the toilet and the kitchen.

Was ok. The burritos were large and tasty. You got full. I tried rump steak. Unfortunately, the mushrooms and onions that went with it were raw. So the onions are very large and raw and the mushrooms are small, whole and not even tossed but really raw. I didn't like that. But the meat was great and it was very tasty overall.

Horrible restaurant, I don’t even know where to start…rude staff; we ordered a sparkling water that had no sparkles, and when we told them, they said we were lying. Twice. The food came, the beans were rotten (very sour taste). It was clear to us, this place is not run by people that are actually from Mexico, because they don’t pronounce their dishes in the right way. Frisales in their world means beans, but it’s actually Frijoles…which we adressed, but then they said that in Germany they call it “Frisales” uhhmmm no. When the bill came (which we had to ask 4 times for) there were drinks on there that we didn’t have and they argued with us that we most certainly had them. All of this nonsense was accompanied by loud techno music that was blasting throughout the evening. At 6pm on a Sunday. We had to shout to have a conversation. Will not come here again.

The restaurant is a reliable stop for delicious, simple Mexican food. The dishes impress with their freshness and careful preparation, which is noticeable in the taste. If you're looking for uncomplicated, authentic Mexican cuisine, you've come to the right place. The cocktails are solid and definitely have the necessary “oomph” to get the evening going. Overall, a recommended place if you are looking for good Mexican cuisine and strong drinks.

We were excited to try this Mexican spot, located just a street away from Mauerpark, but it did not quite meet our expectations. We had to wait an hour and a half for our food, which turned out to be average in quality. The flavors were underwhelming, and the high prices did not justify the experience. Despite our love for Mexican cuisine, we won’t be returning.

When we put the water bottle on the table to take our seats before sitting down, the waiter asked us to put the water bottle away immediately. We had already sat down to have a drink. When we placed the order, he said that they do not accept orders under 20 euros. It's a terrible business.

Haven't eaten here yet, but sitting relaxed and having a drink or two is very possible. Service was quick and friendly, but (at least during the week) it is no longer allowed to serve outside after 10 p.m.

THE RESTAURANT PAYS TO REMOVE NEGATIVE REVIEWS. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! After visiting this restaurant and being treated poorly, I left a 1 star review complaining about the treatment I received. I was surprised that there weren't many more reviews like that since we weren't the only dissatisfied ones of the night. Some time later I received an email from Google saying that the restaurant had hired lawyers to withdraw my opinion and that if I wanted to maintain it I had to provide proof that I had been there. Since I didn't pay the bill, I didn't have the dinner ticket, so my review was deleted. But here's another one ;) If you want, pay €100 again to have it removed, but it won't be the last.

Store bought nacho chips, wheat tortillas playing the role of a taco, weirdest chicken/beef stew served as filler, canned guacamole, margaritas made with sirup and served with lemon slices. But that wasn’t actually the worst. The worst is probably the service which is so non-caring that it isn’t even rude. Come on guys. Have some pride. Even my kids didn’t like the nachos.

Closing time was 11pm, we arrived at 10pm, we asked if it was still possible to eat there, they promptly said yes. When we place the order they respond that it is no longer possible to choose what we want. They only gave an option for nachos. While we were choosing, they pressured us to hurry up. Food was well served (nachos), but the service was terrible. I regret choosing this place for my birthday dinner.

False mexikan. the tacos are not tacos, the tortillas are far from a tortilla, not made of corn. Meat is not Mexican style is any grilled meat and is over cooked.

The steak was not medium rare but raw and cold. Fries ok nuggets tasted like they came from McDonalds, the baked potato was way too small. The cocktails were ok so far.

In relation to bar operations: Ambience destroyed by the staff as they swept and turned off the lights during the stay. (We were there until 11 p.m., according to Google open until 1 a.m.) Service was attentive, but unfortunately unfriendly and not fluent in German.

Nice restaurant with a large selection of drinks. There is a lot of staff during the week who are very attentive, although some seem to have language problems. The drinks were very good! But at 10 p.m. during the week, while there were still guests present, they were cleaning up and setting up chairs, even though they were supposed to be open until 1 a.m. From the point of view of the atmosphere and the actually nice ambience, one could have at least waited for the guests who were still present. Unfortunately it was very uncomfortable at the back...

Music was unreasonably loud, food was just below average. The Spire rips are tough, potato wedges are fried on top. The waitress clears the table and wipes the table, even though not everyone has finished eating yet.

We had a great experience, good food and good service. The staff on Saturday evening were very attentive and did everything to ensure that we 6 guests had a good time - and they succeeded 👍. Everything we ate was fantastic. For us old people, the music was perhaps just loud enough, but not something that can spoil the overall assessment.

For me, an oasis of professional service, good food and fair prices. Even if you're a large group, you can get a spot at peak times without a reservation. And of course the cocktails are nothing to sneeze at either. Keep it up!

Terribly bad! I'm surprised that such bad gastronomy even survives! The starter salad was bland, consisted almost entirely of iceberg lettuce, poorly seasoned, and the beef strips were dry. The chicken breast in the main course as well. The service was also slow, inattentive and listless. The premises should be renovated. The toilets complete the bad overall picture. A pity! Hosting and cooking can be so great! Unfortunately not here 🤷‍♀️

We always enjoy coming here. It doesn't matter whether it's winter and you're sitting indoors or outdoors in summer. The cocktails are super tasty and really strong. The food is really good too. The store is always full, so it's sometimes difficult to get a seat.

Manometer! Cocktails are cheap, but that's what you can taste: pure alcohol. The service doubts an ID card as a method of identification, so there is theater. Not recommendable!!

After countless visits to various restaurants, we have finally found a restaurant with excellent food, including an excellently equipped bar, which we have come to know and love after all this time. This mixture of restaurant and bar stood out from the rest of the boring establishments in the area. The drinks are incredible for the excellent price-performance ratio, but you can still taste the love and dedication with which the soft drinks were mixed and prepared. The food, on the other hand, tastes better than in restaurants with much higher prices and gives the feeling of having Mexico on your plate. Gladly again, worth every cent! 🔥

I haven't had such a bad evening in a long time. Despite reservations, we were seated at a table where there was no room for any of us. It was incredibly cramped, the music was way too loud and the toilet was in a hallway. The communication only in English, the service and customer friendliness left a lot to be desired. The food was OK, the cocktails were OK too, but for the price you save on the quality. I don't recommend this restaurant at all. I'd rather sit in the one on the opposite side of the street.

Very tasty food and incredibly quick on the table. Prices are quite expensive and unfortunately a terrible atmosphere. Deafeningly loud, like a club, you can't hear the person next to you, you have to shout at the waiter. YouTube plays in the background, including irritating commercials, from tin boxes. I can only advise everyone to only eat outside (weather permitting). Once inside, we left as quickly as possible because it was so unpleasant.
