A lovely restaurant tucked away behind the market hall with some outdoor seating. Service was polite, courteous, and attentive. The food was very good, with the meat perfectly prepared. More than adequate value for money.

A very nice, small restaurant across from the market hall. The three of us managed to get a seat relatively spontaneously. The appetizer was delicious and paired well with the appetizer platter. We were free to sample the various dishes as we pleased. Refilling the bread wasn't a problem either. The meat and rice for the main course were delicious and perfectly prepared. We had to share dessert because it would have been too much otherwise. The Persian mocha, however, went perfectly with the Persian tiramisu version. We'd be happy to go back anytime!

We were there for the first time. The food is delicious without a doubt, but I only gave it 3 points because of the unfriendly service (the girl with the glasses). I found her way of answering questions to be rude and she had no patience whatsoever - no smile, nothing. Secondly, the portion is far too small for the high price.

We ordered take away food for a medium sized birthday party. The order was placed by phone a few days before the appointment without any problems. Very friendly staff and advice. On the planned day there was another call back to check whether everything had stayed the same. The food, as we know it, was extremely tasty, everything was plentiful and our guests were very satisfied. Starters and main course were great. Many thanks to the Safran team.

The ambience was fine, but of course we were there mainly for the food. Unfortunately the food was a disappointment. The rice was seasoned too lightly, but the worst thing was the grilled chicken skewer and the grilled vegetable skewer. The entire food had a black burnt edge. Unfortunately, the grilled tomato was particularly extreme; it was really coal-black and could only be recognized as a tomato with imagination. Overall, the food had a bitter, burnt taste. Overall, it wasn't at all what you would imagine from a healthy Persian meal. On the contrary, everything was burnt and we actually had to give everything back. Since we weren't asked after the meal whether we liked it, they probably weren't interested in our opinion or constructive criticism. We assume that our food was prepared to the usual standard for this restaurant because we were in the restaurant at a time when there were very few people, so there was no time pressure in the kitchen. Now you can say that black burnt food from the grill is "normal", but it's not if you do it right. For us: once and never again.

Never seen such a bad Iranian restaurant. Staff unfriendly, the dish not tasty and extremely expensive. I honestly don't recommend it to anyone. We paid €75 for 3p, if it had tasted good we would have said no matter, but... Without words Iranians know what I mean. But for German people who don't know Iranian cuisine and dishes and culture, I don't recommend here. HONESTLY NOT Not here.

Super delicious food, top service. Update was there with my wife two weeks ago. The food was good but it used to be better, more aromatic and more spicy. A small suggestion, the pickled garlic was really tasty but the portion was a bit too big, I don't think 3 bulbs is one. It's a shame if the rest is thrown away.

All questions were answered nicely, friendly and with a smile. The food was very good. For starters we had Kashke Bademhan with a side dish of Babaghanoosh and Zeytun Parwardeh. With the “greetings from the kitchen” that was more than enough for us. For dessert there was saffron ice cream and faludeh. We were very skeptical about the latter. I know glass noodles from Asian cuisine, but not as a dessert and even less frozen. In short, the taste is amazing. An experience. Definitely even better and more refreshing in summer. Great restaurant, we will definitely come back. I still have to try the main courses.

Today we ate at the Safran restaurant on the recommendation of a friend who himself comes from the Persian region. And we weren't disappointed. Drinks, food, service, value for money: everything was great! What can we recommend: Order a few dips (e.g. Baba Ghanoush and the spicy homemade dip) and the salad first. Together with the greetings from the kitchen, you can conjure up some super tasty and fresh small snacks as a starter. The grilled meat and the vegetarian main course with eggplant and the accompanying Persian rice were also super tasty. Also try the Saffron Spritz, a great drink. We'll definitely be back!

I am thrilled with the preparation of the food. Everything fresh and appetizingly prepared. Aromatic tea of ​​borage flowers with saffron candy, starter of creamy yogurt with cucumber pieces, various herbs and small flatbreads. Main course saffron rice with pomegranate seeds, pistachios with chicken thighs and an extra sauce. It was all very delicious. I would happily recommend the Safran Restaurant!!!

We were given thin flatbreads, parsley and mint as well as lemons in advance to refine our dishes. I LOVE FRESH MINT! No refinement was necessary. I had butter-tender, well-seasoned beef fillet with delicious saffron rice, plus two equally tasty additional side dishes. Even though I was stuffed, I still treated myself to the pistachio tiramisu. A dream! Nice people in the restaurant. Both on the catering and guest side. I can only recommend the saffron.

A real surprise was the saffron lemonade - a refreshing and at the same time special drink that I have never tried before. The Persian borage tea was also new to me and completely impressed me with its taste. The main course, the saffron plate for two, was also a delight. The different flavors and the perfect preparation made this dish a highlight of the evening. Finally, I tried the dessert saffron misu, an original variation of the classic tiramisu with saffron. That was also something special and very tasty. All in all, I can highly recommend the Safran Restaurant - the combination of exceptional dishes and high-quality ingredients completely convinced me.

We were at Safran for the first time on September 26th, 2024. The service was top notch. Very friendly and polite, as well as accommodating. The advice and recommendations for the dishes were also great. The ambience was beautifully designed (pictures, dimmed lights) and calm music was playing in the background. The meat skewers (chicken, beef and lamb) were very tender and juicy, the best I've eaten so far. The portion sizes were also very good. Overall, the saffron is highly recommended.

Stark: Vorspeisenplatte mit Brot - Minze, Petersilie, Knoblauch, Linsen, Auberginen..,, Hauptgerichte mit 20 Euro für einen Spieß mit Reis zu teuer, kein Bier vom Fass.
