However, unfortunately the service was neither attentive nor was the starter served to us in advance (even though we ordered it that way). We wanted to share a salad. Unfortunately, all three dishes came at the same time. The waiter apologized several times and also explained to us that he hadn't been working here for that long. Prices are quite high. However, since I have no comparison, I cannot judge whether it is justified.

Unfortunately the visit didn't convince us. The quality of the food and the price-performance ratio did not meet our expectations. We also missed the authentic Italian flair. Therefore we probably won't come back.

Unfortunately we were totally dissatisfied! Ordered 3 dishes. We had to wait over an hour and only after asking whether we had been forgotten did the first dish arrive! Noodle with shrimp 🍤 which was pretty cold and inedible! Unfortunately, other 2 people would have to continue to be patient... we had never experienced anything like that before for fries with schnitzel! There wasn't much going on at lunchtime I wonder if that was a coincidence? Or where do the good reviews come from… For us that was once and never again!

We were there for the first time today (September 15th, 2024). They don't officially open until tomorrow, but our online reservation was still accepted. The owner is of course suffering from celiac disease and with this restaurant he has created a great opportunity in Kassel to have a good gluten-free meal. We wish the operators a good start. After that it took another 30 minutes for the food to arrive. Unfortunately, some of the pizza wasn't baked properly today. When we pointed this out at the end, our waitress said it had to be that way (we've been cooking and baking gluten-free for over 10 years, that's not true). The restaurant wasn't very busy.

Because of the good reviews, we spontaneously went to eat here. But unfortunately we were quickly disappointed. The choice of food was limited and starters and desserts weren't even listed on the menu. Pizza bread was only available as a starter upon request. Some of the pizza bread was still raw and didn't taste particularly good. We had two different burgers, each of which didn't taste good and one of them was even burnt so that I didn't want to eat my food anymore. This restaurant was a total flop for us!

The service was inattentive. When the drinks were empty, she didn't even think of asking if she wanted anything else. Even after the waitress was asked to come to the table, she took an order (another bottle of wine for 4 people), but did not come up with the idea of ​​asking the remaining two guests at the table whether they wanted something because the glasses were empty would like to have. The food was average. Not bad, but nothing special either. At least you could get an insight into the restaurant's supply chain. While we were there, an employee of the restaurant loudly carted the stock of water in PET bottles across the dining room from the neighboring discount store using a shopping cart. The apparent operator was very friendly, but also not attentive and obviously overwhelmed by the 6 guests still present. A great restaurant, especially if you have celiac disease and have to eat gluten-free. Everything here is 100% gluten free. The dishes are exceptionally good and you can only dream of such friendly, competent service. We'll definitely be back

We went to Casa del Nonno with the family for the first time on December 27th, after we were already impressed by Ginko, a completely gluten-free restaurant. Two of us are on a strict gluten-free diet, two of us are not. We all had four cheeseburgers and agreed that you can tell how much work goes into the burger buns. The food was very tasty, the waitresses were very friendly and attentive. We have a slightly longer journey (45 km one way), but every kilometer is worth it. Regardless of whether you have to/want to eat gluten-free or not, Casa del Nonno is worth a visit. We would love to come back and are already looking forward to the other delicious dishes.

I was there at 31.12 and although I rarely give 5 stars to a place, they fully deserve it. Great food, real Italian food, fair prices and a nice classical environment make this place a special point in Kassel. Additionally the attention was great, the waiters were fast, kind and caring. Please protect places like these, they are not so abundant nowdays.

On Sunday we visited the restaurant with four adults and three children. Because of my girlfriend's celiac disease, it's often not that easy to find a suitable restaurant. Added to this is the great, cozy atmosphere, the super nice service (also towards the children ☺️👍🏻) and the selection of food is particularly successful. Because despite the manageable menu, there is something for everyone! Whether it's pasta, pizza, burgers or salad. A great, diverse selection without being “overwhelmed” by an ever-long menu. My spaghetti “lime” with shrimp reminded me of my last vacation in Italy! Super delicious! The crème brûlée is also highly recommended. (and even vegan) There was also a play area for the kids! Top! We felt completely comfortable! Absolute recommendation! We'd love to come back!

At the moment you really (!) have to have a lot of time - clearly overtaxed with a full shop, I guess because of the planning errors, I don't want to blame the staff in the kitchen and service: it's worth the wait! Both the burger and pizza were very tasty and the waiter was customer-oriented and accommodating. My request to the boss: carefully calculate what is to come in the evening and plan realistically and not on the back burner who you need for it, then the store will be great!

I ate the cheeseburger on the recommendation of the house and I have to say, it was extremely juicy, tasty and, above all, plentiful (together with the fresh and crispy fries). I was also able to try pasta and pizza (much to my delight), which were also prepared to the highest standards. For dessert there was crème brûlée and tiramisu, not a gram of which remained on the plates. Absolute recommendation for anyone who likes it fresh and tasty. The prices for food and drinks are absolutely moderate for this level. The staff is polite, nice and professional. We have already reserved the next appointment straight away.

Certainly a great choice for people with gluten and other intolerances. Basically the food was very tasty. The pizza dough had a very exciting taste, seasoned with buckwheat, corn and other things, quite tasty, the pasta was okay. Unfortunately, the atmosphere actually bothered us. It is very loud and bright due to the hall-like structure. Unfortunately, there is a total lack of comfort. In my opinion, it's great for a lunchtime meal, a little less so for relaxed, cozy evenings.

We had a varied selection: burgers, pizza, pasta and salad - so really everything - and every dish was excellent. We were particularly impressed by the burger, but the pizza and pasta were also fantastic. Casa del Nonno offers a wide selection of gluten-free dishes, so everyone in the group was satisfied, even if they don't have gluten intolerance. The quality and taste impressed us and we really enjoyed the visit. Absolute recommendation, regardless of whether you need to eat gluten-free or just love good food!

The service was very nice and accommodating. I had already rated it a few weeks ago, then deleted it again because I thought I had done something wrong with the new name. This was our first time eating here due to gluten intolerance. If we hadn't reserved the table beforehand, there probably wouldn't have been any free space left.
