Absolute recommendation. Finally a restaurant where you know how to take intolerances or allergies into account and don't answer the question of whether lactose or gluten-free is possible with a haha. And then it tastes very tasty too. I had the burger and a tiramisu. Both gluten and lactose free. Everyone affected understands what I mean :). There should be more restaurants like this. I'd love to come back.

We visited this restaurant for the first time at the beginning of the year and were absolutely thrilled. The food was really excellent, the service was extremely friendly and the entire stay was very pleasant. We were particularly impressed by the cozy atmosphere. The restaurant is particularly recommended for families - the small play area ensures that even the little ones get their money's worth. When we asked, one dish was even served as a children's portion and the price was adjusted accordingly. That was really very accommodating – thank you very much for that!

A dream for every Zölli and others. All dishes are 100% gluten-free. The employees are trained accordingly and provide information. In my 30 years of gluten-free eating, I ate the best pizza today. The concept of every dish being gluten-free was unique to me. So for the first time as a family we were all able to swap and try our food with each other. On top of that, the staff is super nice and explains the history of their restaurant. Absolutely recommended, even for guests who are not on a gluten-free diet. My family was also really impressed by the delicious food.

Best gluten-free pizza I've tried so far in my 2 years of being diagnosed with celiac disease! The dough is homemade and tastes almost exactly as I remember traditional gluten-containing pizza. Crispy edges, fluffy dough, a dream! There are various toppings, but I only tried two vegetarian options. The restaurant operator also has celiac disease, so ALL dishes are gluten-free! Therefore, for once, a visit for celiacs is deeply relaxing. The fact that there is a selection of different good-free beers would almost seem self-evident (if they weren't impossible to find everywhere in other restaurants). Lactose intolerance and other special features are also taken into account in the menu. The ambience is cozy and dignified, the staff is extremely friendly.

Absolutely loved this place! The food was incredible some of the best gluten-free pasta and pizza I've ever had. The tiramisu was the perfect sweet ending. Friendly, attentive service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!

The service is fast and friendly. The food was prepared and brought to the table quite quickly. (There were 11 of us there, and no one had to wait). The portions are sufficiently large and delicious. Parking is very good for Kassel. There's a parking garage right in the building. The restaurant is modern and clean. In short, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I saw the 1 star review from last week and had to smile. No, the 5 star reviews are not bought. I don't think the person was aware that they ended up in an allergy/autoimmune-friendly restaurant (gluten-free, lactose-free if requested, etc.) and not a standard pizzeria. If you expect the standard wheat flour pizza, you won't find it. Here the ingredients and consistencies are slightly different. Get involved in new taste experiences. For me, as a person without allergies, I can report: I like going here. For me it is a bit of a quality of life when I can go to a restaurant with my best friend (who has celiac disease and lactose intolerance) without having to worry that no care was taken during the preparation and that she would end up sick in bed. I can't tell any difference in the delicious burgers. For me, the pizza dough is more like a whole wheat dough. And when it comes to portion sizes: gluten-free is extremely filling. From experience: Burgers and pizza bread as a side dish were too much 😅 even if the pizzas look small at first. We continue to lovingly work on new recipes and dishes here. Unfortunately, other 2 people would have to continue to be patient... we had never experienced anything like that before for fries with schnitzel! There wasn't much going on at lunchtime I wonder if that was a coincidence? Or where do the good reviews come from… For us that was once and never again!

Because of the good reviews, we spontaneously went to eat here. But unfortunately we were quickly disappointed. The choice of food was limited and starters and desserts weren't even listed on the menu. Pizza bread was only available as a starter upon request. Some of the pizza bread was still raw and didn't taste particularly good. While we were there, an employee of the restaurant loudly carted the stock of water in PET bottles across the dining room from the neighboring discount store using a shopping cart. We went to Casa del Nonno with the family for the first time on December 27th, after we were already impressed by Ginko, a completely gluten-free restaurant. Two of us are on a strict gluten-free diet, two of us are not. We all had four cheeseburgers and agreed that you can tell how much work goes into the burger buns. The food was very tasty, the waitresses were very friendly and attentive. We have a slightly longer journey (45 km one way), but every kilometer is worth it. Regardless of whether you have to/want to eat gluten-free or not, Casa del Nonno is worth a visit. We would love to come back and are already looking forward to the other delicious dishes.

Great food, real Italian food, fair prices and a nice classical environment make this place a special point in Kassel. Additionally the attention was great, the waiters were fast, kind and caring. Because despite the manageable menu, there is something for everyone! Whether it's pasta, pizza, burgers or salad. A great, diverse selection without being “overwhelmed” by an ever-long menu. My spaghetti “lime” with shrimp reminded me of my last vacation in Italy! Super delicious! The crème brûlée is also highly recommended. (and even vegan) There was also a play area for the kids! Top! We felt completely comfortable! Absolute recommendation! We'd love to come back!

At the moment you really (!) have to have a lot of time - clearly overtaxed with a full shop, I guess because of the planning errors, I don't want to blame the staff in the kitchen and service: it's worth the wait! Both the burger and pizza were very tasty and the waiter was customer-oriented and accommodating. My request to the boss: carefully calculate what is to come in the evening and plan realistically and not on the back burner who you need for it, then the store will be great!

I ate the cheeseburger on the recommendation of the house and I have to say, it was extremely juicy, tasty and, above all, plentiful (together with the fresh and crispy fries). I was also able to try pasta and pizza (much to my delight), which were also prepared to the highest standards. For dessert there was crème brûlée and tiramisu, not a gram of which remained on the plates. Absolute recommendation for anyone who likes it fresh and tasty. The prices for food and drinks are absolutely moderate for this level. The staff is polite, nice and professional. We have already reserved the next appointment straight away.

Arrived without a reservation and we were still very kindly assigned a seat. The two salads we ordered (Mexican and chicken) were very attractively prepared and extremely tasty. The staff is very attentive and extremely friendly. Absolutely recommended! Unfortunately we are only here for 2 nights, but we will definitely stay here again tomorrow. It is very loud and bright due to the hall-like structure. Unfortunately, there is a total lack of comfort. In my opinion, it's great for a lunchtime meal, a little less so for relaxed, cozy evenings.

There were four of us eating at Casa del Nonno, and only one of us has celiac disease. Nevertheless, we were all thrilled - the food tasted absolutely like “normal” and you didn't notice any difference to conventional dishes. We had a varied selection: burgers, pizza, pasta and salad - so really everything - and every dish was excellent. We were particularly impressed by the burger, but the pizza and pasta were also fantastic. Casa del Nonno offers a wide selection of gluten-free dishes, so everyone in the group was satisfied, even if they don't have gluten intolerance. The quality and taste impressed us and we really enjoyed the visit. Absolute recommendation, regardless of whether you need to eat gluten-free or just love good food!
