Restaurant Roula "Zum Römer" in Dachau

We went there for dinner with friends. The menu is extensive but not overwhelming. The service was always friendly and attentive. The drinks arrived quickly, and the food came at just the right time, with ample time between the starter and main course. The portions were very generous for the price, almost too much, but the food was absolutely delicious. A special thank you to the kitchen! All in all, a very pleasant evening with fantastic food. The only downside, which isn't the restaurant's fault, is the noise level, but it's something you can tolerate. Thank you, and keep up the good work!

I had dinner here today at 5:30 pm with my guests. They were very impressed. The young waiter was incredibly friendly and attentive. The appetizers were plentiful, and the main courses were huge portions. And we were greeted with ouzo. We were also given a very polite send-off. It won't be our last visit. See you soon! Since Restaurant Roula is very popular, it's advisable to make a reservation.

Roula zum Römer is, in my opinion, one of the best Greek restaurants in the Munich area. The reasonably priced weekday lunch buffet is particularly noteworthy, offering a fantastic selection and excellent quality. The regular menu also impresses with very authentic and incredibly delicious Greek dishes. You can tell that the food is prepared with love and traditional recipes. The service is always extremely friendly and attentive – you feel welcome from the moment you arrive, almost like part of the family. Highly recommended; I always enjoy coming back!

Years ago, on our way from Vienna to Bonn, we stopped in Dachau for a few days and stumbled upon this restaurant. We were thrilled. A few years later, again on our way to Bonn, it was a must to stop in Dachau again and visit the restaurant that same day. On what will probably be my last trip to Bonn (due to my age), I'll of course be staying overnight in Dachau again, just so I can eat at "my" Greek restaurant one more time. I'm a big fan of Greece and have a fantastic Greek restaurant nearby that I frequent, but... already in a holiday mood while traveling, such a wonderful restaurant is simply a must-visit.

The food was excellent; we had a hard time deciding what to order. Everything was so appealing that we went back again the very next evening. Reservations are recommended.

We've been to Roula several times, both before and after the renovation. For me, it's the best Greek restaurant I've ever eaten at. The service is always fast and friendly. The food tastes great, comes quickly, and the portions are generous. The gyro is not too fatty and not too lean—simply perfect. I'd definitely love to come back, just like the last few times.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal hier und hinterher nahezu konsterniert, warum wir DAS all die Jahre, die wir schon in Rothschwaige wohnen, nicht schon früher genossen haben. Wunderbares Ambiente, schön und durchdacht eingerichtet, liebevolle Details. Wir bekamen sofort einen Platz, obwohl wir nicht reserviert hatten, und obwohl das Lokal voll war, war es nicht eng oder laut. Die 4 Servicekräfte hatten alles mühelos und mit großer Herzlichkeit im Griff, selbst der ganz junge Mann machte da keine Ausnahme. Ein gratis Ouzo kam noch vor dem Essen, was ich persönlich besser finde als hinterher. Das hat uns überrascht und noch positiver gestimmt. Das leckere Essen von der reichhaltigen Speisekarte war sehr gut und sehr reichlich. Aber danach kam noch eine weitere Sensation: gratis Nachspeise! Die passte wider Erwarten auch noch rein, und wir versicherten der Chefin, die uns persönlich und ebenfalls sehr herzlich verabschiedete, daß wir ganz sicher wiederkommen. Wir würden auch 6 Sterne vergeben!

I ordered a warm appetizer plate in addition to the generous portion of souvlaki (approx. €16). A ticket price of €16.50! What was served for that price is a disgrace. 2 slices of ricotta, 3 zucchini coated in flour and deep-fried, a small red and green pepper, a small feta cheese parcel, and some tzatziki. As shown in the picture, but a thin slice of zucchini is missing.

We came here for dinner. As soon as we entered, we noticed an unpleasant odor—a strong smell of grease, apparently coming from the kitchen. This indicates inadequate ventilation in the restaurant, which unfortunately spoiled our experience. The food was okay, but nothing more than average. It just about meets the minimum standard you would expect from a restaurant—neither particularly tasty nor creatively prepared. Overall, a rather disappointing visit. There's definitely room for improvement here, both in terms of ambiance and the quality of the food.

The food was good and reasonably priced. The staff was nice too. I accidentally sat there longer than the restaurant was open, and no one kicked me out 😅.

There would have been a buffet lunch, but I ended up with the basic gyros. And it wasn't a bad choice at all, the portion was huge, the meat was tasty, the salad was fresh and the olive oil was clearly high quality. There seemed to be a wine selection, but this time we went with Helles beer. For dessert, naturally, Metaxa. The service was friendly, the restaurant was cozy and the toilets were clean. If you're in Dachau and visiting a local attraction, I recommend stopping here.

The generous portions, especially the "Krekeles Platter", are a real treat. The restaurant impresses with its tasteful furnishings and in summer the beautiful beer garden invites you to linger.​ The service is exceptionally friendly and familiar, which makes the visit particularly pleasant. The food is consistently tasty and of high quality - and at a reasonable price-performance ratio (really large portions!). An all-round successful experience that I can only warmly recommend to everyone!​

As a starter we shared the matzah plate - a wonderful selection of Greek specialties, all fresh and tasty. The main courses were the Poseidon grill plate for me and the Psaroplatella for my friend. Both dishes were perfectly prepared, extremely seasoned and more than plentiful - we really struggled to finish it all! The service was extremely friendly and attentive, you feel completely at home here. To round things off, the boss himself served us a Galaktobouriko on the house - an absolutely delicious dessert that rounded off the evening perfectly. The atmosphere is cozy, inviting and typically Greek - you almost feel like you're on holiday. Conclusion: A great restaurant with excellent food, generous portions and first-class service. 5 stars are actually not enough, we will definitely come back!

Excellent Greek restaurant. The dishes are very plentiful and very honestly priced. Excellent meat and the typical Galaktoboureko cake is worth it! The staff is really very kind: we arrived almost at closing time and they served us without problems, always with a smile.

We were here for the first time and afterwards we were almost confused as to why we hadn't enjoyed THIS before, all the years we've been living in Rothschwaige. Wonderful ambience, beautifully and thoughtfully furnished, loving details. We were seated straight away, even though we didn't have a reservation, and even though the place was full, it wasn't cramped or noisy. The four service staff had everything under control effortlessly and with great warmth, even the very young man was no exception. A free ouzo came before the meal, which I personally think is better than afterwards. That surprised us and made us even more positive. The delicious food from the extensive menu was very good and very plentiful. But after that came another sensation: free dessert! Contrary to expectations, it fit in, and we assured the boss, who personally and warmly said goodbye to us, that we would definitely come back. We would also give it 6 stars!

I was invited to dinner at Roula today because my aunt turned 60. It has an incredibly beautiful ambience and a very pleasant atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and attentive. I like that the waiters are uniformly dressed in very high-quality leather aprons that still have the name of the waitress on them. Very original. The furnishings are a mix of rustic and industrial. This suits my taste perfectly. As soon as you enter, you feel the warm and friendly interior design. After we sat down we were greeted with an ouzo 😁 For food there was, among other things: Gyros, kalamrie, pita, salad fries and various starters. Everything tasted extremely good and the portions were huge. You'll definitely get full and get a lot of value for your money. Price/performance is definitely right here. It's really a pleasure to enjoy all the delicacies and take in the great atmosphere. We couldn't even finish some of it and were kind enough to take the food home with us in a box. The desserts and coffee were also excellent and deserve a clear recommendation. We will definitely come back. Just to test the beer garden in summer 😉

We were in Dachau for 14 days on a customer assignment and then discovered this restaurant. We were very excited the first time. Very tasty food, portions that fill you up and at a price that is not often found anymore. We enjoyed this four times in the 14 days. I can only recommend it. But it's better to make a reservation, because it's clear that with such a good restaurant, it's correspondingly busy 😊

We were inside the restaurant for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. You feel like you're on vacation in Greece, wonderful decoration, very pleasant lighting, great furnishings. Even though we came spontaneously and hadn't made a reservation, we were given a place for 1.5 hours, were served immediately and our gyros and posaidon plate were there immediately. Large portions and super good, prices were right too. There was also an ouzo and a free dessert. The staff is very attentive, nice and accommodating, if only that were the case everywhere. We'll be back.
