Let me say right away: you feel right at home here. We stumbled upon Bakalikon quite by chance and thought, "Well, let's give this Greek restaurant a try." Luckily, we did. The moment you step inside, you feel comfortable. The ambiance is simply perfect. It feels like sitting in your Greek grandmother's cozy living room, enjoying delicious food – that's exactly how we felt. The food was fantastic. We tried practically everything on the menu and were truly impressed. They serve authentic Greek dishes of the highest quality and flavor. Absolutely top-notch! Our absolute highlight was our waiter. He made the evening unforgettable. We felt like we'd known each other forever. He was attentive, always up for a laugh, and simply put a smile on our faces. All in all, it was one of the best evenings we've ever had dining out. We'll definitely be back!

We visited Dachau at the end of September, during our honeymoon. We read amazing reviews of Bakalikon so we decided to try for ourselves! I can say, this place deserves more than a 5 stars!!! The people is truly real and you can easily see that they’re all passionate about what they do: from the food to the people. Best service we had by far! ⭐️ The food… wow! Top notch quality, real Greek! All combined made our visits to Bakalikon not just another restaurant, but a true and honest experience 🫶 We loved the place, the ambient, the people, the extraordinary food so much that we’re actually thinking about taking a plan next year and visit them again! We went to Bakalikon for the first time yesterday. It's a fantastic restaurant that definitely stands out from the rest. Like many Greek restaurants in the old days, it's a combination of a shop and a restaurant. Really great. It was very crowded and therefore quite noisy. The service was incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. We've tried several Greek restaurants in the Gilching area, and so far, Bakalikon has been by far the best. We'll be back. Keep it up! 👍

Friendly service, but the food was rather below average.

After a brief slump a few years ago, Bakalikon has been revived and is shining brightly once again. The food is excellent, the service incredibly good and attentive, and the few new features, such as a small appetizer snack and tasteful new decor, make a visit even more enjoyable. Ouzo is served in the traditional, generous, and complimentary style. A truly excellent recommendation, far beyond the borders of Dachau! Reservations are essential!

Last Friday, I went there for dinner with a very dear friend. We didn't have a reservation, so they asked if the bar would be okay for us. Of course! 😉 We had a delicious meal and were looked after with care and attention, yet without being intrusive. The ambiance is incredibly cozy, and the atmosphere is truly Greek. 🇬🇷 The service staff was top-notch, and at the end, regular customers recommended we order "medicine" from Nikos at the bar! We can wholeheartedly recommend it. My friend and I have chosen this restaurant as our new meeting place and favorite Greek spot. From now on, we'll always go to BAKALIKON when we're in Dachau...

I rarely give a restaurant a 5⭐️, but this Greek one deserved it! Having been to Greece 🇬🇷 several times, I'm familiar with Greek food, and in this case, we chose the Thessaloniki souvlaki, moussaka, and Greek salad, accompanied by Mythos beer, which is very mild, by the way. We finished with a kadaif-based dessert, the Greek version, because the Turkish or Bosnian versions, for example, are somewhat different. And everything was fantastic! Apart from the staff, they are wonderful guys, attentive, and sometimes even goofing around, as if we've known each other for years! We couldn't finish without ouzo, it's on the house! The price was around €75, but well deserved. I recommend it 100%.

Bakalikon is without a doubt one of the best restaurants I've ever visited. The service is attentive, fast, and yet completely unobtrusive. Everything flows so harmoniously that guests can simply enjoy their meal without being disturbed for a moment. The atmosphere is warm, stylish, and inviting. You immediately feel at home. The evening's culinary offerings were of the highest standard: From appetizer to dessert, every dish was superbly prepared and impressed with its freshness, quality, and flavor. The lamb chops were incredibly tender and practically melted in your mouth. The fried potatoes were still incredibly crispy even after a long time – a detail that demonstrates the skill and care that goes into cooking here. The sea bream was also perfectly grilled and wonderfully aromatic. The vegetable side dishes harmoniously rounded off each dish with their intense flavor. The crowning glory was a moist walnut cake, which completed the evening magnificently. A place where you don't just go to eat – you go to enjoy it. Highly recommended, we will definitely come back.

Courteous and friendly service that wasn't intrusive! 👍 An interesting atmosphere with lots to look at. It was fun! Everything, including the restrooms, was very clean! My meal was a dream! ♥️ I haven't sat in front of a fish platter as good as the one I had that evening in a long time! I was thrilled! My husband was very happy with his meal! He only found the gyro a bit dry, but it was well-seasoned. We were there very early after the restaurant opened, and that was probably the reason. I personally missed the octopus dishes. Honestly, you rarely find a shop that combines quality, hospitality and a warm environment so beautifully. We left with the best impressions and we will definitely go back! It was our first time there and we were absolutely thrilled with the atmosphere and the restaurant from the very first moment! This hasn't changed during our stay! A hot and cold starter platter, a mixed meat and fish main course, and several desserts – all of the highest quality and very good! The entire team – simply amazing; they love their job! I've been eating here regularly for many years and look forward to it every time. The food is always freshly prepared, delicious, and of consistently high quality. Bester Grieche in der Umgebung. Große und sehr leckere Portionen für fairen Preis. Die Auswahl ist sehr groß und es wird sicherlich für jeden etwas dabei sein. Auch Vegetarier und ggf. auch Veganer. Sehr praktische Lage in der ruhigen Altstadt. Innenbereich schön eingerichtet und Außenbereich auch sehr angenehm vor allem in Sommer. Im großen und ganzen sehr empfehlenswert!

Authentic Greek restaurant and at least 5 staff members who constantly want to serve people. The food is super tasty and when everyone wants to sit outside in this warm weather, the staff even brings the tables outside. We would love to come back.

Three of us went for lunch on a sunny afternoon. We were seated right away. The waitstaff is very friendly. We ordered a bottle of wine, and octopus salad appetizer, and three gyros. The food was delicious and the portions were huge. We had a great time.

Einer der besten Griechen im Umkreis. Essen frisch zubereitet, keine Convienience Produkte. Service zuvorkommend und höflich. Portionen dem Preis angemessen. Super schöne Dekoration im Innenraum. Möglichkeit im Außenbereich zu speisen. Auf dem WC gibt es Möglichkeiten sich frisch zu machen. Gerne immer wieder. Achtung: am Wochenende am besten reservieren, da immer gut besucht.

We were a very large, mixed group: kids + adults = 35 people. The children were taken care of first, while the adults, who had to wait longer, were treated to meze specialties on the house. (Olives, tzatziki, olive oil, fresh bread, etc.) The portions were very generous, and the service was attentive. The service was not overwhelmed in the slightest, but very competent! Truly top-notch! 5 stars 🌟

A unique Greek restaurant. The service and ambiance were top-notch, and the food was also extremely delicious. The entire staff was cheerful and simply enjoyed their work... We'd love to come back when we're in the area.

We had a reservation. The location is okay a little tricky to find if you don't know the place at all but very visible. We went at 7.30pm and we found parking in the neighborhood pretty easily. You go in and it like you traveled to Greece to your local favorite Tavernaki ( Greek small cozy restaurant). Greek music playing I like the Greek old cinema movies playing on the tvs (no volume of course). It's spacious, big tables comfortable chairs. One small problem for me was that the wooden tables had a stripe of wood horizontal across directly under the main piece of wood of the table making it a bit hard to fit your feet in a 90 degree angle but you work around it fine. The service stuff was amazing, friendly and funny but not funny in a rude/uncomfortable way. We felt very welcome and as if we were regulars there. Good drinks (white wine, tsipouro and retsina), the food was amazing (we got the Ola & Ola plate salat, Dakos salat 😍, Haloumi, Pommes, pita bread of course with garlic 👌🏽, Politiko souvlaki and lamp paidaki). Good flavors, very good ingredients, good combos. And at the end we also got some desserts (very tasty) after drinking some shots ☺️.

We had dinner with clients after a trade fair event (IFAT) tasting the feta made in different ways: baked, breaded and fried, breaded with sesame and honey, natural inside the mixed salad with olives, tomatoes... spectacular. We then tasted the lamb chops, and baked lamb... super tasty. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. I recommend it and I hope to return at the next trade fair.

We used to come here often. After our last visit, that's definitely over. Our turkey schnitzel was pink and cold inside. We politely pointed this out to the waiter. In response, we were scolded and given a new portion about 15 minutes later. My wife then had to eat alone. There was no apology or anything, which I don't think is right. There are countless other Greek restaurants in Dachau that taste much better and where the service is friendlier and better.

We felt really comfortable. You can tell that this tavern is run with love and dedication. The employees radiate whatever they convey: they enjoy their work and who they do it for. We are happy to take the long journey and come back for the unique experience.

The staff was very friendly but the food for the price? The warm appetizer plate is underground. WARM APPETIZER FOR ONE PERSON 14.00€ with tzatziki, peppers stuffed with feta cheese, dolmadakia, grilled artichokes (one each), eggplant, zucchini (four slices each) and baked feta cheese. Gyros etc. good but not outstanding.

What a shame, what a shame!!!!!!! I have been a regular guest at Balkalikon for about 2 years. The service is very friendly and the food tastes very good. The owner is the problem Balkalikon has. With his unfriendly and arrogant way of greeting guests at the door, as if he were a bouncer, he made me feel unwelcome. It was very clear how he tried to sort out guests. I will never eat at Balkalikon again.
