Restaurant Romantico in Usingen

We really enjoyed it, and everyone enjoyed the pasta and pizza. Beautiful historic building on the old market square. Everything inside is excellent, but everything is in the style of a "traditional German restaurant." There's no Italian ambiance at all, but at least there's Italian background music. Parking is available right outside the door; if necessary, you can also park in the large Neuer Markt parking lot, just a few steps away. We'll be happy to come back; the open-air "Giardino" with dozens of tables in front of the restaurant looks very tempting – as soon as the sun shines.

The waiter was very nice and attentive, the pizza was well topped, but the dough was not fluffy and loose as it should be. It's not originally Italian. Nice seating outside.

Good selection of food and drinks. Predominantly Italian cuisine. Preparation of the food also looks great. Always happy to come back.

Great, as usual! The Atomica "slap in the face" pizza (poor thing) delicious... The musical atmosphere with among others "Vivo per Lei" sung by the boss accompanied by Andrea Botticelli... Magnificent 😂 And the staff always lovely with everyone... Thank you 👍

Very, very good food! My wife and I went there together for her birthday, and I have to say the service was pretty good. The pizzas were delicious and the restaurant was beautifully designed.

A nice restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. Friendly, attentive service with a sense of humor. The dishes were good in both quality and quantity. Custom requests were accommodated. A little tip for customers: The daily special should not just be written on a board outside, but also be visible inside as an additional menu. We had to go outside again to get this information. 🤔

There was some back and forth regarding the reservation at the beginning, but the problem was quickly resolved. The food was delicious and arrived quite quickly. There were five of us there, and we received courteous service. We'd be happy to come back.

Nice atmosphere, the food was tasty and appetizingly prepared for my taste. Price/performance ratio okay. Drinks well chilled on this hot day. Have nothing to complain about.

I was there again yesterday with a former work colleague. We have known the restaurant for years and it is always a nice experience to eat there. We had steaks with gogonzola sauce. That was a poem. Really well prepared. A few weeks ago we had a really good seafood pizza. the same poem. Even larger groups like us were when the twin town from France was in Usingen, there were around 40 of us, from very old people like me to children. There was only praise for the food, the drink, the service and everything that goes with good gastronomy.

So I personally think that this is not an Italian restaurant. Pasta is overcooked that it is very soft and the pizza is below average. For the price it's really not recommended, you can find better Italian restaurants in Bad Homburg for even the same price. Otherwise the waiters are actually quite nice but unfortunately the food is really not good.

Yes, indeed romantic inside, rustic despite being quite centrally located. This is the better Italian.

The service was very bad. We had to wait an extremely long time for our starter. A salad. In the meantime, our neighboring table, although there after us, had been served both the starter and the main course. While clearing our salad plate, the waiter held the plate at such an awkward angle that the olive oil spilled onto my coat, which was on the back of the chair. Accidents and mishaps can of course happen. But there is always the question of how you react to something like that. And here the reaction was so inappropriate that as a guest you definitely won't come here again. For food, we had pizza, which was just average.

I can fully confirm what my predecessors wrote, it's a very nice place, especially to sit outside, the service is great and the waiters and boss are very, very nice, I have to say and the fact that you get something between half past ten and ten o'clock doesn't matter Nobody, I was here with my Italian friend in 1995 or 96, and he really liked it back then And the noodles, not cheap but so tasty and never before or Very very very rarely eaten such delicious sauces with the noodles!!!

We've been spontaneously going to the Romantico for years. The food is good, the service is friendly and it is cozy. The delivery service also works very well.

Wir waren heute zum Abendessen dort. Das Essen ist nichts besonderes. In Ordnung, aber kein Highlight. Die Nudeln waren Recht geschmacksneutral und der Salat schwamm in Soße. Der Service war gut, alle waren sehr nett. Man könnte modernisieren, ist doch Recht altbacken. Das Tiramisu war sehr gut.

Gemütlich, familiär, nettes Personal, ausgezeichnetes Essen und annehmbare Preise. Lieferdienst kann durchaus deutlich über die angegebene Zeit dauern. Tipp: Lieber vor Ort essen oder selbst abholen.

Essen Schlecht, service nett aber nicht präsent, Ambiente ok, aber es war kalt. 79€ aus dem Fenster geworfen… nicht zu empfehlen!

Wir kennen schon die Leute im Service seit 2006, Umgang mit Kundschaft ist angenehm und zuvorkommend. Ambiente ist freundlich. Weiter so!!!

Good intentions, willingness and kindness, however you go to a restaurant also for the food. And unfortunately there is still a lot of work to do here. Average the pizza with fresh mushrooms (you expect more for the price you pay, in my opinion), while the tagliatelle with mushrooms were missing salt and flavour and cooked really to much (probably cooked in advance and then just warmed up, which is a killer for a plate of tagliatelle). In addition, it was prepared with cream and you have to tell this in advance, you never know. The mushroom soup gave me the same experience as the tagliatelle: no flavour, no salt, nothing. As I said, the service was nice and kind, but the kitchen needs a full review.

Leckeres Essen und toller Service. Falls ich wieder mal in Usingen bin, komme ich gerne wieder vorbei. So eine leckere Pizza habe ich lange nicht mehr gegessen.

Mein "Lieblingsitaliener"! Immer nette, aufmerksame Bedienung, die Pizza ist ein Gedicht und man sitzt sowohl draußen (auf dem Alten Marktplatz) als auch drinnen (in dem wundervollen Fachwerkhaus) sehr gemütlich und kann es sich gut gehen lassen.

Wir haben sehr schön bei sonnigem Wetter im Biergarten gesessen. Sehr nettes Ambiente im Altstadtkern von Usingen, ohne Verkehrslärm, trotzdem gut zu erreichen. Wir wollen mal alle Lokale am Marktplatz ausprobieren - hier saßen die meisten Leute, also fingen wir mit diesem Lokal an - italienisch Essen wir gerne, also haben wir Pasta (Spaghetti Carbonara und Spaghetti mit Garnelen) - Für das Essen gebe ich 1 bis 2 Sterne; es hat eigentlich nach nichts geschmeckt, die Garnelen leider auch (mein Eindruck: Supermarkt, Plastikverpackung); ansosnten Carbonara in (Sahne)Sosse abgesoffen. Der Service ist nett, aber es reist sich keiner ein Bein aus, man sollte Zeit mitbringen. Für uns war es der letzte Besuch.

Wir hatten einen Tisch bestellt, da wir nicht wussten wie voll es sein wuerde. Service war sehr nett und gut, unsere Pizzen waren sehr gut, der Rose, obwohl als trocken angeboten, war zu suess. Alles in allem, eine sehr gute Erfahrung.

Ich kann das gemütliche Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen. Sehr gutes Essen, faire Preise sehr nette Menschen die dort arbeiten und ihr bestes geben und eine gemütliche Atmosphäre.

Sehr gute Pizza, schön zum Sitzen in Fachwerkhausambiente, Parkplätze vor der Tür.

Sehr schönes Lokal der gehobenen Klasse. Gut gekleidete und freundliche Kellner. Aber das Essen ist auf sehr niedrigem Niveau. Was man eigentlich nicht erwartet . Meine Pizza für 10;50 € war die schlechteste Pizza die ich je gegessen habe. Sehr trockene und nicht schmeckende Pizza kein knuspriger Teig. Man hat das Gefühl die Pizza war aufgewärmt. Meine Frau hatte auch eine Pizza bestellt und war von der Qualität auch ungenügend. Die TK Pizza Im Supermarkt schmeckt da besser. Sehr enttäuschend.

Das Restaurant ist total gemütlich, das Personal super nett und das Essen hervorragend.

Alle Kellner sind sehr freundlich. Das Essen ist sehr Empfehlenswert. Preise sind OK. Ein kleinen Amaretto für die Frau ein Grappa für den Mann aufs Haus rundet den Abend ab. Bis zum nächsten Mal.

Hallo das essen war sehr gut gestern wir hatten Bruschetta eintiges Manko was ein viertel des Punktes ausmacht gebe 4 dreiviertel Sterne der Salat zwischen dem Brot war leider nicht angemacht sonst war fasst alles perfekt zur Anmerkung bitte frischen Grande parmigiano anbieten liebe Grüße Rupert

Sehr nettes Personal sehr aufmerksam, die Speicherkarte und auch die Tageskarte waren sehr gut. Das Preisleistungsverhältniss stimmt.

Meine Ducati Gruppe hat sich dort zum Stammtisch getroffen. Wir haben die Motorräder direkt auf dem Platz neben dem Restaurant geparkt, das war super! Wir gaben in deren Biergarten unter Sonnenschirmen gesessen. Was bisschen genervt hat waren die Wespen die immer wieder mal auftauchten. Wespen kann man vertreiben wenn man gemahlen Kaffee in einem kleinen Schälchen anzündet. Durch den Rauch vertreibt man Wespen. Die Bedienungen waren sehr zu vor kommend und stets freundlich. Das Essen war hervorragend im Geschmack und auch sehr schnell gekocht. Alles im allem, eine sehr zu empfehlendes Restaurant!

Schönes Ambiente, wenn man draußen sitzt, auch drinnen gemütlich. Sehr nette Kellner. Essen ist gut, nichts Herausragendes, aber qualitativ solide. Wir empfehlen diese Pizzeria!

Immer freundlich und auch um 22 Uhr bekommt man hier noch eine schnelle gute Pizza. Ich liebe es hier, im Haus essen ist gut, liefern ist gut, einfach weiter so.

On holiday with family, and this came recommended. The owner was very friendly, the staff clearly happy with their job. The restaurant is very clean and tidy, the food very good indeed. Portion size was good, too. The prices werent too bad, but we were looked after exceptionally well.
