The food was very tasty. There was 1 vegetarian and 1 vegan menu on the menu. That could perhaps still be improved. I had the vegetarian pasta. This was super tasty and special requests were also taken into account. The ambience is rustic, old-fashioned and fits the building. The service was very friendly, attentive and quick. I can definitely recommend the restaurant 👍

We had a wonderful visit to Ratskeller Bad Salzuflen! The atmosphere was warm and inviting, just right to feel comfortable and relax. The staff was very friendly and accommodating - you can immediately tell that a lot of value is placed on service here. The food was simply perfect and prepared to perfection. We were thrilled with every course and there was really nothing to complain about. What is particularly noteworthy is that our special requests were implemented without any problems, which made the stay even more pleasant. We felt completely at home and can absolutely recommend the Ratskeller Bad Salzuflen. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – we’d love to come back! 😊

Very nice staff and good portions, unfortunately the furnishings are a bit old-fashioned but maybe that's part of the charm. The visit will be gladly repeated

Pleasant atmosphere and good food.

We were in Bad Salzuflen for a weekend and stopped at the Ratskeller. The service was very attentive and friendly. We had veal schnitzel and rump steak. The food was served quickly and was tasty. Price/performance fits. Not a “wow” either, but it’s good, home-style, and that’s what we expected. I would have liked a few more roasted flavors on the steak. It was medium and very tender, but quite wide and thin, which probably made it impossible to cook for a longer period of time. Also, some sea salt and pepper “on top” would be great. With the herb butter it tasted good and the vegetables (I ordered extra) were delicious. At the end there was crème brûée and the little sweet finish. My husband thought the cream was great, the orange taste bothered me and unfortunately it was cold. I think it's great when served warm. The sweet ending tasted delicious. I would have liked the scoop of ice cream and the red fruit jelly to be served separately. The ambience and the guest room could use a refresh. This is certainly my personal taste, but it still seems a bit dusty. In addition, the kitchen chime and the door are quite loud and cause unrest in the dining room.

Despite many visitors, we were able to get a table. The staff is extremely friendly and customer-oriented. The food was plentiful and inexpensive. My wife ate the gourmet salad (highly recommended for the price). I had boiled beef. Good, but not top class. That's why only 4 stars. All in all, a worthwhile restaurant.

During my rehab I had visitors and we wanted to treat ourselves to something nice. So off to the Ratskeller. Not a good idea. The food was okay, but nothing special (hearty, fatty). The staff was more of a problem. There was a boss, a head waiter and a counter attendant. It was noticeable that there was a bad atmosphere there, the boss insulted the young counter worker in a tone that made it very unpleasant to listen to. My companion complained about something about her food and the response was absolutely inappropriate. The head waiter and the boss outdid each other in their stroppy and downright aggressive behavior. It's a shame about the evening, I would avoid the store. There are also very good restaurants in the surrounding area with refined cuisine and friendly staff where we felt comfortable as guests.

Since my husband really wanted to eat the Tafelspitz, we went to the Ratskeller today. We sat outside because the weather was perfect. Unfortunately, when we sat down, no one really noticed us, even though the tables with their guests were very manageable. When the order was taken two tables next to us and the waiter had at least 7 cards in his hand, we were shouted "Bring the cards straight away". Uhhh....? You already have cards in your hand... well... After many more minutes that passed and passed, the waiter handed us a card each, but without saying hello or simply a friendly greeting. Since my husband already knew what he was ordering, I felt like I would have been happy to go. But well... I then chose the herring fillet in the Westphalian style. The food wasn't worth two stars for me as the food seemed to only be kept warm in devices. The fried potatoes were very limp and the frying fat was running away, as was the case with the princess beans. Personally, I didn't like the way it was done at all because you didn't feel welcome and the employees weren't working as a team. It's a shame for such a location, especially since the restaurant is only poorly maintained and little emphasis is placed on the ambience and atmosphere. Please note that if there are several guests on site, there may be waiting times in front of the toilet! After dinner we went to Café BO, as I always buy my coffee there to take home... and what can I say, we stopped there for a cappuccino and a piece of homemade cake and it was easy just beautiful. My conclusion: I will no longer visit the Ratskeller and I won't recommend it either.

That was a really good evening. The ambience is just right. The service, especially from Mr. E., was friendly. The food is home-style, which means to me that it tastes like my grandma's... Great.... There I ate the BEST STEAK to date (cooked medium rare to perfection) and was very excited... until I asked about changing my baby. There is a changing mat in a toilet cubicle on the wide window sill. So you either stand completely twisted next to the toilet bowl or with your legs spread over it to get to this place behind the toilet. Since my child unfortunately had to be completely changed (which can happen), my back really hurt afterwards. Conclusion: The food is very good but the changing area is careless and very impractical. Not usable for people with crutches or wheelchairs and even for me with a little more "mass" it was difficult to manage in the small cabin and with contortions. It's a shame, we would have liked to come more often but our 8 week old baby can't stand yet stay as a grandma or something similar.

Simply Ratskeller, always delicious food, great broth, very good schnitzel with asparagus. Spontaneously drove off the highway, kitchen throughout, even spontaneously got a table on Mother's Day.

Had a very good meal in the Ratskeller. The vegetables were al dente and not overcooked. The pepper sauce really tasted like pepper too. The Staff was very friendly and quick. We are very satisfied.

Today we spontaneously went to the Ratskeller. Even though it was fully booked and we hadn't made a reservation, we were assigned a table after a few minutes. We were very hungry after a long hike and ordered soup as a starter. The curry soup looked very dark, which is something I'm not used to from curry. The taste was accordingly. One could also have said that it was [perhaps hence the color] a pure curry spice ketchup soup, diluted with water. The waiter was very nice and acknowledged the problem and then apologized. My main course [sliced ​​meat in curry cream] arrived and I saw the dark color again. So the sauce tasted the same as the soup, 1 to 1 identical. I therefore recommend not ordering a curry, otherwise it will be too expensive as I got the full price and no compensation.

We went there spontaneously for lunch. After a friendly welcome, we were shown straight to the table. The ambience is “typically German” like a Ratskeller with lots of oak, but always cozy. The choice of food is plentiful, varied and reasonably priced, even for families. Daily dishes also complement the selection with dishes with a slight Indian touch. We found it enriching - there is something for every taste. There was also a separate children's menu for our 10-year-old son - perfect. The food itself was delivered after a reasonable waiting time despite the restaurant being full. The portions were okay for the price - you're full, but still have enough room for a starter or dessert. ;-) The volume in the restaurant itself is okay, we were able to have a good conversation. There was also nothing to complain about in terms of cleanliness. All in all, a recommendation from us. We would love to come by again.

Very good food, served very warm. Amounts just enough for normal hunger. Champion cream sauce is served with a champion (cut into 4 pieces). Just ridiculous, there might be a few extra if you ask. Portion of asparagus (4 pieces) at a very reasonable price. It tasted very good, but I probably won't visit again.

We went there for dinner with 5 friends on April 6th, 2024 in the evening. Unfortunately, the service was completely overwhelmed and tried to compensate for this with unfriendliness. If you want a pirate plate (empty extra plate), you should expect an additional €2.50! Overall, I cannot recommend this store in any way! A single one disappointed. There is still a lot of potential for improvement.

We were in Bad Salzuflen over the weekend. In the evening we fancied steak. First there was curry or goulash soup. Both highly recommended. The rump steak was excellent. Service was great, everything at the table quickly and very polite. Mr. Munish in particular put in a lot of effort. We would be happy to come by again when the opportunity arises

Well, when we arrived, they asked us if we had a reservation and since we didn't, we were told that we had about an hour, as it was reserved after that. We were given a place right at the entrance. It was okay, but strange because 95% of the restaurant was a teacher it was pretty quiet in the restaurant. The food was quite okay. While we ate here, guests often came in and they were always told that they had a reservation and were always given about an hour. I found that quite strange because it was my first time here and I don't know if the restaurant is otherwise full because it is completely booked according to the waiter. Otherwise it's a strange scam. I can't imagine that 95% of the tables would be full at any given time

Gutes Essen und aufmerksame Bedienung

Wie haben noch kurzfristig einen Tisch bekommen. Ich hatte einen Filetteller mit 3 verschiedenen Fleischsorten. Das Fleisch war gut gebraten. Allerdings war das beigefügte Gemüse nichts besonderes. Es war nur gegart und mit Salz gewürzt. Außerdem die Möhren etwas hart. Die Forellenfilets von meinem Freund waren lt seiner Aussage sehr gut und wurden mit Salat serviert.

Hirschkalbragout und Wildschweinfilets waren beide hervorragend, bei dem Preis hatten wir schlechteres erwartet. Der Vorspeisensalat auch sehr lecker und nicht 08/15 mit dem dazu servierten Zwiebelbaguette (das erste, was meinem Mann geschmeckt hat). Service freundlich, die Speisen kamen trotz Vorwarnung, dass es etwas dauern könnte, recht schnell und absolut frisch. Eine klare Empfehlung!

Wir waren ,zu zweit, kurzfristig und spontan am 26.08.23 hier essen. Schweinerückenschnitzel und Cordon bleu mit Bratkartoffeln. Das Fleisch war super zart,saftig von innen und goldbraun gebraten.Das Cordon bleu ebenfalls.Die Bratkartoffeln waren auch echt gut,und alles zusammen war perfekt gewürzt.Der Service war freundlich, die Wartezeit aufs Essen war kurz.Das Preis -Leistungsverhältnis war absolut im Rahmen. Absolut empfehlenswert 👍👍👍

Essen war ok, aber bei den unfreundlichen Gastgebern hatte es auch nicht mehr geholfen. Man fühlte sich nicht willkommen.

Leider haben wir uns für die empfohlenen frischen Matjes Rheinische Art entschieden. Die Beilagen Salzkartoffeln, Böhnchen und etwas Salat waren in Ordnung. Die Matjes schmeckten nach nichts, die im Übermaß auf die Matjes aufgetragene Merettichcreme konnte das auch nicht verbergen. Kurzum, dieses Gericht schmeckte so gar nicht nach frischen Matjes. Wir verließen dieses Haus verärgert und sehr enttäuscht! Nicht empfehlenswert!

Matjes mit Bratkartoffeln waren lecker und flott auf dem Tisch. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt und kommen gern wieder. Dankeschön
