A truly lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff, plus super delicious food. Absolutely fantastic and highly recommended.

Four of us were at the Poseidon. We all really enjoyed ourselves. The food was very good and the service was extremely friendly. There were plenty of servers, so the food and drinks service went pretty quickly and smoothly. The only "problem": the restaurant was fully booked, so it was quite hectic.

I ordered something to take away last night, number 49 when I got home I was very disappointed I went there hungry and was still hungry when I ate at home it was a disgrace to get such a small portion for 20 euros a small handful of gyros two tiny pieces of soflaki and two mini burnt lamb chops

One positive aspect here is definitely the very friendly and courteous service. We found the food rather mediocre. The gyro was quite fatty, with some of the bacon bits. The vegetarian options are rather limited, unfortunately typical of Greek restaurants. The salads could use a bit more imagination and attention. Parking is also rather difficult on busy days. Nevertheless, we had a pleasant evening.

The dishes were edible, very good, and delicious is something else entirely. The house-style lamb and moussaka were swimming in fat and very salty; the sauce on the skewer with meraxa sauce was cold; side salads with cocktail dressing are fine, but at a Greek restaurant? The bread served was at least from the day before. All in all, very unsatisfying and not recommended.

We ate at Poseidon as a birthday group. Since we all have different tastes, we ordered a wide variety of dishes. From appetizers to desserts, everything tasted great. All orders were taken correctly, and even those with allergies were taken care of to ensure nothing dangerous ended up in their glasses or plates. Bread could be reordered for the appetizers at any time. The prices were also perfectly reasonable compared to today's prices. In conclusion, if you want delicious, good food, this is the place to go. Portions could be a bit larger, but everyone has their own taste. The nightcap, pictured, is highly recommended :)

We traveled from Hamburg and stopped in here spontaneously. Very nice restaurant with a great, cozy atmosphere. We were able to get a table for two at 8:15 p.m. on a Friday evening. Plenty of seating available both inside and outside. Very attentive service! The portions were okay, but a bit smaller than we're used to. They only served one ouzo each. I would definitely recommend this restaurant again.

Restaurant Poseidon is my favorite Greek restaurant. I love traveling to Greece, and when I get a craving for something, I go to Poseidon for a delicious meal. The atmosphere and vibe are fantastic. The restaurant is very popular and well-attended. But that doesn't detract from the good mood; on the contrary, the staff and their customers are contagious, and you go home in a great mood after your meal. I definitely recommend Restaurant Poseidon.

We've known this restaurant for a long time. But we moved to Bavaria in 2016. We were there again last week, it was simply fantastic!

Sehr netter, zuvorkommender Service, das Personal seit Jahren ein eingespieltes Team - es "fluppt" einfach! Das Ambiente ist gemütlich, der Gastraum sauber und ordentlich. Das Essen ist ohne Ausnahme (!) immer lecker, wird schnell gebracht und sieht gut aus. Zur Begrüßung gibt es gratis einen Ouzo, zum Abschied entweder einen Ouzo oder alkoholfreien "Cocktail". Der beste Grieche in Paderborn!

We ordered three dishes to take away. It was supposed to take 25 minutes, but it took 40. That's okay and I'd rather not be given enough and wait than to arrive and the food is already cold. The bifteki was extremely tasty and the scalloped potatoes were also very good. Unfortunately, the gyro was a bit bland, small pieces and not crispy. The portions are just adequate for the price.

So it feels like almost everyone from Paderborn has been going there for years. But last time a waitress had a mishap and spilled a Hugo on one of us. This can happen, but dealing with it was impossible. They didn't really apologize, didn't offer any compensation but rather laughed about the situation. That was so unprofessional that you can only allow something like that here. You should think about it yourself

We have been regular customers here for 16 years and have always been satisfied. We always order one of the most expensive dishes like lamb fillet. This time the lamb fillet was melt in your mouth and not at all as thick as lamb. Fries with it were little like a children's portion. 63€ for 2 people and not full. Very disappointed that the portions are made into cheaper versions and the price remains the same expensive. It's a shame we won't be coming back.

Went here for dinner yesterday. The food is nothing special. It doesn't stand out either in terms of taste or presentation. The staff is numerous but only stood out because of a group farewell. This never actually spoke to you or joked with the guests. Dogs don't seem to be allowed as one had to wait outside for several hours. The atmosphere is rather outdated. The toilet doors were a bit dirty and frayed at the bottom. So you could see green color underneath the white color. However, I found the prices to be rather high. On average we paid 25-40 euros per person. I probably won't come again. Kind regards 🙋

The place is pet friendly and we are always happy to enjoy the delicious food cooked to our preferred style. In general it is a very great restaurant and the food always tastes very good, variations or small changes are never a problem (I can recommend gyros gratinated with Metaxa sauce with spaghetti😁), 1* deduction (although it is more than understandable) The prices have risen significantly and the portions feel smaller. However, Poseidon continues to impress me with its extremely friendly staff and fast service. Also worth emphasizing is the cozy ambience with the winter garden and the outdoor area that can be used in summer. It can sometimes get very loud inside. Personally I give it a 5*, objectively speaking there are always little things but a visit is still highly recommended. Nice and always tip top for years. The food is fantastically tasty, no matter what dish you order. However, you should definitely reserve a table in good time. Dear Poseidon team “Thank you”, keep it up.

Unfortunately the restaurant is no longer what it used to be. We had ordered a table, arrived on time and were able to sit down straight away, with 1 child and a baby. The child seat, which was explicitly ordered when making the reservation, still had to be requested and space had to be made for the stroller. Although the restaurant wasn't full, we waited an hour (!) for the food, which then came to our table burnt. The gyro was extremely dry and hard, the chicken felt raw and was totally over salted, the minced meat had pieces of bone in it. In addition, the waiters bumped into us. We also had to ask twice to pay. The prices have also increased significantly. Now we're not feeling well anymore, for the second time. Overall, it was a complete disappointment and we won't be going back to the restaurant, if only because of the children and our health.

We were traveling in Paderborn on business and when we got hungry, we wanted to eat something and happened to drive past the Poseidon restaurant and decided to eat there. Without prior reservation, we were warmly welcomed by the staff, offered a table outside and lovingly pampered in Greek style. The food was delicious, a welcome drink was also offered and at the end an ouzo was brought to the table for everyone. Unfortunately we had to decline it because we still had something to do, so we were offered a small dessert instead. It's a great restaurant, highly recommended and the team is great 👍 we'll definitely be back. The prices are perfectly fine.

I've been a repeat offender since 1989. It's just very nice, informal, accommodating, friendly, fast, tasty and has been that way for 35 years. There wasn't even anything to complain about. One thing you have to be clear about is that this is unfortunately not for vegetarians. There's a little more choice missing. Just always farmer's salad is not exciting even for veggies.

The Orangery in Paderborn charges 2.80 euros for a super tapped bit!!!!!!! Overall, the good dishes are reasonably priced. So one euro less per Pils!!!! How do you explain 3.80 euros then??? If you live in the 21st century and can't find a single vegan dish. Maybe you should live with the times. You have enough on the menu that you could at least offer some vegan main dishes from the side dishes. Sad, with over 2 million vegans in Germany you are losing a lot of customers. Is that really worth it to you?
