My childhood story connects me with this, for me, legendary Gyros Pita. In the 80s, our father visited us once a month and then we went here. We have found our way here occasionally over the past few decades and most recently this weekend. As usual, the family is friendly and accommodating, the Gyros Pita still tastes very tasty, no other Pita in the area comes close to this quality. I will always enjoy getting my pita here 👍

I've been eating the gyros at Ilios for over 40 years!! It was always a treat. Only the last two times (in January 2025) did the meat quality deteriorate significantly. My husband even had a small bone in his flesh. I'm already disappointed and am thinking about eating something at Ilios again.

The tzatziki was disgusting 👎 It somehow tastes like something from the supermarket for 0.49 cents a kilo. We've eaten there many times 👎, unfortunately the quality has declined significantly

We stopped at this little restaurant on the way through. It was well attended, but we were lucky to get a spot. We were served nicely and the food came quite quickly. The portions were sufficient and everything tasted really good. The meat was super juicy and the rice tasted very good. The price/performance is top!! As soon as a table was cleared it was already occupied again, I think that speaks for itself.

Super delicious food. It's worth it every time. And the prices are still the same as 4 years ago. If I had to make a recommendation in Paderborn it would be Ilios. Must have!!

Always worth a visit! You usually have to be lucky to get a seat in the bistro, but the wait is worth it. Best gyro! We often pick up something here or visit the bistro when we are nearby. Absolute recommendation!

For me, Ilios is and remains the number one when it comes to a good, delicious gyros in Paderborn! The portions are decent, the prices are reasonable and no matter how busy the store is, the staff is always nice and friendly. Here’s to hopefully many more delicious years!!

We always find Illios very tasty, whether it's the pitta on hand or on a plate in the snack bar. Fresh salad, fresh tzatziki and really good meat. Overall, they are large portions that will fill you up. The sit-down snack bar is usually very busy and in the evening it is difficult to get a seat, which is an indication of how tasty others find it too. In the guest area there is no smell of food being prepared, unlike next door where you get the food to pick up. The waiter was actually very friendly. Unfortunately, the question answered what was on the Gyros Special so that "everything" would be on it, which didn't help to imagine what was on it. We also had to wait a long time for a menu. Our drinks were almost empty before dinner and when they were empty we had little opportunity to ask for more unless we called across the store. But since the food is so convincingly delicious, we also like to turn a blind eye to the service ;)

They don't speak German or don't listen, I ordered without tomatoes and had a bunch of tomatoes, I ordered with double onions and had no onions at all. There wasn't much going on at all so you could do anything wrong. All in all a disaster

Hello. I've been coming to this shop for 90 years. Very good food, of course. Very nice people. I can only recommend it.

After about 55 minutes the food was finally served at the table. My gyros plate was about half filled with coleslaw, I was expecting a side dish. The small amount of fries was drowned in mayonnaise. The gyro meat was not well cooked, not cross and gristly. My companion's baked feta cheese was drowned in cheap gada cheese. After we made negative comments about the (unfinished) food when paying, we were given a waiver of drinks, but we can't give a good recommendation.

The food tastes good here, but in my opinion it's a bit overpriced. The drinks are mostly small and expensive. For example, the flavor-soluble cocoa (0.2) costs over 3 euros. It's cheaper to order your child beer ;) You can sit inside and outside. The location is a bit small and the decoration is unspectacular.

Best gyros and best gyros snack (in my opinion) within a 100km radius. (I work in the field and have the appropriate comparison options) We are regulars here...5 stars for the food. The employees are perfectly coordinated and are partly led by the boss himself or by the fantastic Anita. Yes, here the boss still works himself and Mostly found in the branch on Frankfurter Weg... Service 5 stars. The snack bar is perfectly set up for quick processing and also has a “well-worn” bistro seating area where you can even be served by friendly employees. Ilios Imbiss is therefore perfect for both food on hand and for quiet enjoyment in the bistro. Plus top toilets... Ambience 5 stars Absolute recommendation

These so-called "Greeks" have completely forgotten what it means to be Greek! Shame! I do not recommend it at all! Worst service ever! Unfortunately, the taste of the gyros was only average. I expect the meat to be freshly cut from the spit. When I was there, it was briefly browned on a spit and then finished fried on a griddle. No special taste. Some of the fries are rock hard, so I have to assume that they have already been through the deep fryer a few times. Overall, it seems to be geared towards mass production.

After a lot of criticism, which I won't delete, I took the step again in March 2024 and ate at Ilios... And I have to say that it tasted very good again. I was positively surprised. That's why I'm giving Ilios 4 stars again because of our almost 50-year relationship. Please keep the standard so that it stays that way. See you next time. The quality is decreasing more and more. Unfortunately. The meat is just fatty because it is finished cooking on the “plate”. Something like this would not have existed about 45 years ago, when every gyro was still freshly cut with real roasted aromas. Since RECENTLY you have to pay 40 cents for more onions, even though you cancel the tomatoes. That's a no-go for me. I now only go there in an emergency, when nothing else works. Keep it up and I won't come back at all.

I was there for the first time in 1975 and didn't know Gyros at all until then. Together with Tassos Grill in Wanne-Eickel, the best gyros grillers I know⭐⭐⭐ from Gault Gyrault...😉😁😁😁

Chilled atmosphere with Greek music, very simple interior design, the service was good and they delivered our meals quickly. The prices are cheap and there was a generous amount of meat in the meals, and the Zaziki was wonderful I would recommend the Gyros with Metaxa sauce with cheese, it tasted amazing.

Hello, master of gyro technology. Last week I took "pitta on the hand" with me, it was awesome.👍🏻 Today I was there and took a "pitta on the hand" for each hand. Again, really cool. And I'm going back next week. It tastes really good, it's definitely a must have, so I had to have it. If you are driving to Paderborn or are there, stop at the Pitta booth. The food isn't as tasty as it used to be. The service staff in the restaurant leaves a lot to be desired...extremely unfriendly and not keen on their job. Slam the drinks on the table so that the heather shakes. Throw the empties into the boxes. Like at the shooting festival. Mega unprofessional!! Catastrophic! A few days ago we ordered 2 large gyros plates, 1x gyros children's plate, 3x sperate fries with 2x mayo and 1x ketchup over the phone. 27€ and a few crushed ones. Round up and say "30€, that's fine" then we notice in the restaurant that 1 chip is missing. So I went, complained, paid again... At home, everyone is happy... Everyone is super hungry... Unpacking... 1x large gyros plate, 1x gyros children's plate and 4 x fries... 😡😡😡 Called and complained... And instead of apologizing that they charged €30 for food but we only got half... the guy on the phone was so bold and asked if we wanted to order 😡😡😡 Let's explain it again... The guy on the phone says "Yes, thanks for the call" and hangs up 😡😡😡😡 As delicious as the meat is (you can still find the rest just fine)... Is the service and the treatment of customers and the outrageous rip-off 😡 for us the main reason why we no longer order there... Very unfortunate and very sad... 😔 Let's hope that things get better again.
