Food very tasty and plentiful. At the salad bar there were various types of salad/raw vegetables, but only one type of salad dressing. The service was friendly and the food arrived quickly. But there wasn't much going on. The ambience was okay, but that's also a matter of taste 😉. Only the music was a bit loud and a bit annoying. The price is a bit high. We are happy to recommend the restaurant

I ate there yesterday with my mother. The portions for €23 are getting smaller and smaller and the three pieces of meat were very small. It was a grilled plate with lamb with pork and rump steak that was very thin and well done, so it was quite dry. I think it was the Acropolis plate If you're a struggling person, this place isn't recommended. They do have a disabled parking space, but it's not usable. According to the boss, the mayor has forbidden opening the barrier to get to this disabled parking space. Something like that isn't possible. We've been there a lot the previous owners but we definitely won't come again, firstly because of the disabled parking space, secondly the food used to be better, maybe the portion was so small because of the gourmet block but that can't be the case, I won't be coming back

I ate here with my mother on Sunday, the prices are a bit too high for the portion, it was better, the salad bar was also better, it is not recommended if you are someone who is very unwell, although there is a disabled parking space , but it is not allowed to be used, according to the tenant, she said the mayor forbade this, something like that is not possible

The taste is actually quite good, but a waiter who doesn't know his menu, sorry, is not possible I ordered a bifteki, according to the menu with Gouda...but got one with feta cheese... Unfortunately only noticed after 3/4 had been eaten, so no more complaints. Priced on par with other Greeks What stands out is the salad bar and the freshness Otherwise, for me there are definitely better Greeks in Saarland... Recommendation: probably not!

Food was okay but rather poor compared to other Greeks in the region. We had to wait a long time for the food (well over an hour) even though there wasn't much activity. The menu clearly says steakhouse fries, but they are not served. Another dish also has Gouda as cheese on the menu, but sheep's cheese is served. Espresso cannot be offered because you have to clean the machines afterwards. Will not visit the restaurant again.

The restaurant was really good under the old owner. Things went downhill when the new operators took over. Salad bar is extremely poorly stocked, side bread has recently been canceled and the place could do with cleaning again. I probably won't eat there again. Too bad

Were there for the first time on Friday evening...and for the last time. We were asked directly about the gourmet block. I don't know that! Waited forever for drinks and then the food came. My husband had the Poseidon plate for 23 euros. 3 small pieces of meat and a handful of fries. Unbelievable. I think the gourmet block played a role. My bifteki was ok. White wine was also so-so la ..the glass for 5 euros..the service got annoyed very quickly!

So even 1 star is still too much. Unfriendly service & I had a dead wasp in my rice, which I ordered as a side dish. There wasn't even an apology or anything. The boss laughed at our complaint. So it couldn't be worse.

An undemanding guest may enjoy one or two dishes, but the quality of the meat is rather inferior. The service is at pub level. By far the worst main course salad I have ever eaten. Really can't recommend the restaurant.

Starters were okay, main courses not at all. In my opinion, the sauce from the baked gyro was a finished product and didn't taste good at all. We were there with several people, only 1 portion of fries came with 2 dishes and the last dish for one of us came much later than the others. Then the missing portion of fries finally arrived. They are thin, conventional fries and not steakhouse fries as advertised, and not properly fried. We would have had dessert, but the service wasn't good at all. We were there earlier when another owner was there and it was great. Now you can save yourself the trip there. We won't go there anymore.

What I did appreciate was the salad bar, although it lacked olives and pepperoni. The beer garden is very nice, very quiet location. We came with the gourmet block. Gladly again.😊

It's nice to sit on the terrace and the service is attentive and friendly However, we waited for our food for almost 2 hours. And unfortunately that ruined the evening. Still, the food was good The kitchen definitely needs to be quicker (all the tables had to wait an extremely long time) then it will be fine

We were there about 2 years ago and it was great. Now, however, the restaurant is pretty dingy, the salad bar isn't really cleaned when it opens, just refilled. Plates were completely missing. The gyro is flabby, fatty and the Metaxa sauce is underground. We have rarely eaten such bad Greek food. It's a real shame, but we won't be coming back.

The sign in front of the restaurant is very dirty, there is no notice in the display case, and there are some Christmas decorations on the window sills. The dining room has seen better times, the atmosphere is not very inviting. The salad bar is 0815 and was 3/4 empty. The bifteki was delicious, the cream schnitzel was a disaster, no real cream sauce. What didn't work at all was that the staff were arguing loudly and different music was playing from two devices at the same time. Conclusion: unpleasant ambience, unpleasant atmosphere and food that is not a particular highlight.

Variety of preparation of gyros and other meat dishes, very tasty. Casual atmosphere, fast service. Pleasant restaurant staff. We tried a dish with 3 types of meat and potato croquettes, we recommend it.

The lamb is excellent. The terrace is wonderful. The service is very friendly. The lunch menu is second to none. Bowling, mini golf and a walk around the lake and a soft ice cream. An insider tip! We recommend.

If you had a meal with a voucher book, you had to pay an extra 3 euros for the free meal, which is not noted in the book. Food was served a bit carelessly on the plate, gyros were very gnarly, meat skewers were good. Conditions very friendly

The staff was very friendly. The salad from buffet was 0-8-15. The gyro was extremely dry. Bifteki very strangely seasoned (but it's a matter of taste) Not steakhouse fries, just regular fries. Chicken and lamb were ok. But in our opinion the price-performance ratio is absolutely not right. I would not recommend the restaurant nor would I visit it again. (No longer with a discount from Schlemmerblock either)

Was there as a gourmet guest. And would be very pleasantly surprised! Tzatziki starter - excellent! Both grill plates - very, very tasty, well seasoned and my lamb was tender as butter! Service - very friendly, not intrusive! Drinks delicious and well chilled! Finally, Ouzo - on the house! I can highly recommend Poseidon2!

For something as small in such a random place they are doing a great job. Expect it to be on a salty side. The meat dishes were good, sald bar is great the baklava was a miss

Unfortunately, inattention was the focus here. After 30 minutes the menus were brought to us with the excuse that we had been forgotten. Unfortunately we were forgotten throughout the evening. Unfortunately, a vegetarian main course was not possible either. Attention Schlemmerblock users: children's meals are counted as the main course! Overall very disappointing and therefore not a second time for us.

The table and bench were dirty with leftover food. The fries were hard. Why these are served on a platter instead of in a bowl is strange, but I find it unpleasant that there is no cutlery for this. Especially if several people have to use it. The same applies to the additional rice ordered. The taste of the food was okay. Everything else, however, was loveless.

Picked up food. The sauce was missing. After complaining over the phone, we were offered to pick it up. Then the food would have gotten cold. We should bring it with us, they will warm it up again. Reheat steak and fries…. Otherwise we wouldn't be able to help, so be it now. No apology, no credit or anything similar. Super bad service. The service and employees are really nice and do a great job. However, the gyro meat is not recommended because it is wobbly and simply doesn't taste good. I haven't eaten the Metaxa sauce in this form yet because it flakes a lot. So unfortunately the taste wasn't good. In combination with the price you can give this 3 stars.

The gyro plate with tzatziki was quite good, but I've also had better ones. I find the salad bar very positive, where you can put together your own starter salad. Although it was quite busy, the service was friendly and always available.

It was our first time in this restaurant (through the Schlemmerblock) and the bad impression started right before the (locked) door. From the outside, the restaurant looks like it is no longer in operation. After we called the restaurant after a short wait, the door was unlocked for us, which they had probably forgotten. However, no one apologized for it. Luckily it didn't look as bad inside as it did from the outside, but it was still very old and a bit unkempt. Some of the remains of the Christmas decorations can still be found (beginning of March). We were a bit unlucky with the seat, we sat right at the counter and heard every phone call and exchange between the staff. In principle it's not dramatic, but personally I would have perhaps made the first reservation of the evening a little further away from the hustle and bustle of work and the telephone. Since we were the first guests, the service was of course very quick. You should put together your own side salad from a small salad buffet. You can choose from iceberg lettuce, cucumbers and tomatoes, as well as a few canned ingredients such as beans, corn and cabbage. Unfortunately very far away from Greece, freshness and quality. For the starter we chose grilled feta, which tasted okay. For the main course we both decided on a plate with gyros, a souflaki skewer, “steakhouse fries” and “tzatziki”. The souflaki skewer was the best in terms of taste, a bit dry but edible. The “steakhouse” fries were simply cheap, thin frozen fries. Unfortunately the gyros was a flop for us. It was extremely greasy, partly burnt and partly still very wobbly. I can't remember ever having a worse gyro. The tzatziki had nothing to do with an authentic Greek tzatziki, it was very bland. Gyros and fries were mostly left on my plate. After we were asked when clearing up whether it was tasty and I didn't say yes, the interaction was no longer quite as friendly. We received a handwritten note as a receipt. The overall impression is therefore rather bad. Generally rather run down and above all not authentic. Unfortunately, I can do it much better at home.

Every delivery service has more potential than this restaurant. Starting with the fact that we had to wait 30 minutes for our drink, we had to wait over 1.5 hours for our starter and that wasn't even complete.

We had reserved a table this evening. We can't say anything about the food because we left after half an hour. After this time we still hadn't received a menu. The restaurant was full but something like that just doesn't work. After the food was distributed to other tables, the three of them stood behind the counter. Nobody was interested.

My family and I were there at lunchtime and used a voucher from “Schlemmerblock” during our visit. The location, a hall-like functional building, didn't seem very appealing to me from the outside. But inside it was nicely decorated and the staff was friendly. There is nothing to complain about about the food. Guests can prepare their own salad at the self-service counter. Grilled sheep cheese and tzatziki with bread were great and so was my Rhodes plate.

Ambience not typically Greek. Food delicious and the staff very friendly. Always happy. We felt very comfortable.

Today we went back to Merchweiler to Poseidon after a long time. We then quickly discovered that the owner had changed. Beforehand you could help yourself to the salad bar, which consisted of 80% canned food. In addition, the salad servers were greasy. Food then took 50 minutes to arrive. We didn't like it there. Rice was overcooked, cheap fries that weren't fried properly and the only vegetable side dish was fried eggplant. There was no proper invoice either, everything was written on a torn sheet of paper. Never again

I'm reviewing the lunch menu here. The price performance ratio is very good. There was a welcome ouzo, followed by soup, salad from the buffet and a main course. Everything tasted good 👍

Food was good. . And rich... a small mango later on the bill. . . But otherwise everything was great

Salad dressing was given in a tube upon request, instead of steakhouse fries as mentioned on the menu, only normal fries were served without comment, the drink color was bitter lemon conspicuous and the waitresses obviously didn't know their own menu. All in all, it's a shame.

Auch hier der Tipp vorweg: denkt ans Reservieren! Wir waren zum Glück sehr zeitig da und konnten noch einen Tisch ergattern. Karte typisch griechisch, gegrillte Fleischteller in allen Variationen, aber auch Ofengerichte und 🐟 beim Anrichten ist noch Luft nach oben, aber geschmacklich lecker. Service sehr freundlich und auf Kritik (am Nachbartisch) wurde sofort souverän reagiert! Top👌 Fazit: gerne wieder!

Essen war super gut und reichlich, die Bedienung freundlich aber sehr schüchtern, der Mann hinter dem Tresen bediente mir der Jockinghosse und war beim angekommen mit 8 Personen überfordert. Sonst Top.

Wir sind durch den Schlemmerblock auf das Poseidon aufmerksam geworden und waren leider die einzigen Gäste. Salat vom Buffet gehört zu Hauptspeise, das Essen war lecker und der Service in Ordnung. Wir können auch gerne wieder ohne Schlemmerblock, wenn es uns in die Gegend verschlägt. Anfragen über Facebook könnte man vielleicht etwas besser im Blick behalten.

Food is pretty good. The service meanwhile, is really bad. The starters took nearly an hour to arrive. The table next to us, which came 15min after us, got their starters and food before us. The staff wasn't able to bring the correct dishes to the correct tables. When we made the remark about the delay, the staff reacted very unfriendly.

Heute waren wir nach Besitzer-/Pächterwechsel mal wieder im Poseidon in Merchweiler. Leider hat Einiges nicht gepasst: - Tisch, obwohl reserviert, war nicht vorbereitet und musste erst noch hergerichtet werden - die Bestellung erfolgte eigentlich recht zügig - leider warteten wir dann auf das bestellte Essen eine gute Stunde - das Bezahlen hatte trotz 3-maliger Erinnerung noch 15 Minuten gedauert, obwohl zu diesem Zeitpunkt nicht mehr viel los war - andere Gäste am Nebentisch haben sich ebenfalls über die lange Wartezeit empört - hätte man mir vorher gesagt, wiel lange ich auf das bestellte Essen warten muss, wäre ich gleich wieder gegangen Nun noch etwas Positives: - das Essen war in Ordnung, wenn auch die Preise höher waren als auf der Speisekarte im Internet - und eine Salatbar mit Selbstbedienung gibt es auch noch Auf die lange Wartezeit angesprochen, bedauerte man dies - und das war es auch schon. Schade, dass auch Ambiente sich nicht zum Vorteil entwickelt hat, lediglich wurden die Preise erhöht. Unter diesen Umständen war das sicherlich der letzte Besuch in diesem griechischen Lokal. Da nehme ich lieber ein paar Kilometer mehr Anfahrtsweg in Kauf und bin anschließend zufrieden.

Getränke zu bestellen dauerte schon lange, aber bis die Getränke dann kamen, eine Ewigkeit ( es war nicht viel los) Zum Glück fragten wir vor der Essensbestellung, ob wir mit dem Schlemmerblock essen könnten. Die Antwort war NEIN. Ginge heute nicht. Hatten im Vorfeld angerufen und da hieß es ja ginge.

Waren am Wochenende dort, Restaurant schön von innen hergerichtet und stimmige Musik. Service leider nicht gut. Wir mussten nachdem uns ein Tisch zugewiesen wurde, mussten wir 20 Minuten warten bis uns die Speisekarte gebracht wurde und wir Getränke bestellen konnten. Das essen war leider eher schlecht. Das Gyros sehr fettig und dick geschnitten, hier sind wir von anderen griechischen Restaurants besseres gewöhnt. Schweinerückensteak noch zart rosa, also nicht ganz durch gegart aber immerhin waren Salat, Pommes und Fleischspieß gut. Im ganzen können wir das Restaurant leider nicht weiter empfehlen und ich gehe davon aus, das die vielen positiven Bewertungen aus der Zeit vor dem Inhaberwechsel stammen.

Wir waren mit 10 Personen dort. Ein kinderfreundliches Restaurant, mit tollem Ambiente, einem top Service und leckerem Essen.

Preis Leistung zum Preis war das erste mal nicht in Ordnung. Bei Steak Zwiebeln waren die Zwiebeln nicht zu genießen. Bei nächsten mal werde ich das nicht mehr tolerieren

Waren heute zum zweiten Mal da seitdem wieder ein neuer Besitzer da ist. War wieder tiptop. Werden uns jetzt öfter sehen. Auch der schlemmerblock wurde ohne murren angenommen und nichts am Service, essen, portionsgröße, Ouzo nachdem Essen geändert. 1A Empfehlung. Bitte länger da bleiben.

Der Vorspeiseteller mit kalten und warmen Teilen war für diesen Preis zu teuer. Ich hatte den beim Vorbesitzer reichlicher in Erinnerung. Die Portionen sind im Allgemeinen kleiner als früher.

Waren mit 8 Personen dort, Essen kam zeitgleich an, große Portionen, Salatbuffet war lecker und das junge Personal sehr freundlich. Ein Spielplatz und eine Minigolfanlage sind dabei, sowie eine riesige überdachte Terasse/Balkon

Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker, ich war sehr positiv überrascht. Es gibt eine große Terrasse und innen auch sehr viele Plätze.

Ich kann nur sagen, wir waren mit 4 Personen da und das Essen war heiß und die Portion ausreichend. Neu ist das Salatbuffet, da ist noch Luft nach oben. Ansonsten alles okay. Für das Poseidon für die Zukunft viel Erfolg.

Sehr süsses Restaurant mit mega netten Mitarbeitern. Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker und schnell am Tisch. Es gibt eine salatbar an der man sich selbst bedienen kann. 👍👍

Gyros war hartes ZÄHES fleixhe, Hähnchen war zu wenig. Jägerschnitzel okay. Salatbuffet fast alles aus der Dose. Bedienung mit siff T Shirt

Ohne Reservierung am Samstag Abend einen Platz erhalten, essen war sehr lecker und reichlich. Service okay, da ist noch Luft nach oben bei dem jungen Mann. Wartezeit aufs Essen war diesmal sehr lang, fast eine Stunde ist doch etwas zu lange.
