Delicious food, lovely atmosphere. Things took a little longer here and there, but that was easily overlooked since everything else was so great.

Delicious food, also suitable for vegetarians. I highly recommend the zucchini fritters. Nicely decorated and good parking. I'll definitely be back.

A very cozy restaurant with a beautifully decorated ambiance. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful for the price; anyone who left hungry only had themselves to blame. What I really appreciated was that, for the first time ever, they asked me if I'd like a little Metaxa sauce with a dish that didn't come with sauce, which I thought was fantastic, and the sauce was incredibly tasty. Highly recommended!

I was in Hanover for work at the beginning of the week and went to eat here with some colleagues in the evening. The atmosphere was nice, the service was great, the food was tasty but when it came to the bill my mood changed. We had paid separately and I was the last one. At first they tried to trick me into paying for several drinks until they were canceled, and they even accidentally put mail on top of it. Everything was fine, but then I noticed that I had to pay €5.20 for a tzatziki that was on my baked potato, which itself only cost €2.50. It was also a strange conversation with the waiter, who just stammered that it should be homemade. I'm normally willing to pay more for homemade things but I found this very questionable, and the problem didn't start there. When I asked for a catering receipt, I was told that this wasn't possible except with a QR code on my receipt, which I have to apply for myself. I wanted to pay and was then seriously asked how much of a tip I wanted to give?! I would have happily tipped until shortly before I had to pay, but after all the little complications, I decided against it. Then I tried to request my receipt in the hotel room using the QR code: the code didn't exist.

Service was very friendly and attentive. The mixed appetizer platter deserves a full 5 stars. The main course of gyros, souvlaki, and zuzuki was good, but the gyros were a bit dry and rather lukewarm. Overall, a solid service. The price/performance ratio was okay. Because of the very good appetizer platter, I'm rounding it up to 5☆.

It was my first time there and I'll definitely be back. Everything was excellent, including the service. I was there on a Saturday afternoon.

We ate at the Platia restaurant on June 2nd, before our vacation. The restaurant is very cozy and quaintly decorated, making you feel at home right away. There's also a large outdoor area, which we hope to enjoy in September if the weather is good. The food was excellent. You could taste the authentic Greek spices and fresh herbs in all the dishes. The nickname "The Greek with a Difference" is absolutely justified. The owner is very customer-friendly, always ready with a lighthearted remark or joke. The worst Greek restaurant ever! Unfortunately, it has to be given a star; this restaurant doesn't deserve one! Bad food, inattentive service, etc.! NEVER AGAIN! Any chip shop is better!

Delicious Greek cuisine in a cozy atmosphere

Acting like a buddy, quite funny...the waitress walked past our table at least 10 times without clearing anything away or asking for drinks... Unfortunately, my food was almost cold. But it was delicious. Update 03.07.2024: Everything was good, the portion wasn't that large, but it was delicious. Service was OK; it was very busy, and we were politely kicked out...

We sat outside, and the service took a bit of a while. However, the chef was the only one serving and made up for the wait with his charming demeanor. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the appetizers were particularly impressive. The ambiance inside is also very appealing. Overall, a highly recommended restaurant with an authentic flair.

I spontaneously stopped in here for the first time today. Wonderful seats in the sun. I received a very friendly and warm welcome!!! The salad dressing was delicious, and the bread was fresh and crispy. I personally didn't like the gyro that much, but the rice was absolutely perfect 👌🏻.

Nice "Greek" with delicious food at reasonable prices. Classic Greek cuisine with good portions. I only missed Galatobureko for dessert, but we found something suitable. We would be happy to come back next time we visit Hanover.

A Greek restaurant with cheerful Greek staff. There aren't many fish dishes in Germany, so it's a good idea to go there when your stomach is tired of eating pork and potatoes. It also comes with a leafy salad and is reasonably priced.

Bright and rustic interior with a rustic decorated counter. The chairs are a bit rustic in the back. But that's probably how it should be with a Greek. The food was really good and the price was fair. The service was quick and friendly.

Tasty and a big enough portion! Friendly and charming waiters. Went there spontaneously on Saturday without a reservation 🤷🏼‍♂️ Maybe it's better to make a reservation 😉 After 6 p.m. it will definitely be difficult to get a table. We will definitely come back the next time we visit Hanover.

The restaurant is beautifully located on Klagesmarkt, it is tastefully decorated, but here and there you can see that the interior is a bit old. Unfortunately, the food wasn't convincing, the fries should have stayed in the deep fryer for a few more minutes, whereas the meat unfortunately sat in the pan for a little too long. The tzatziki, touted as the best in Hanover, was rather middle class. Overall, you'll feel full, but there won't be enough for a second visit. Unfortunately the price was a bit too high, the quality was simply lacking.

Food was completely fine. Unfortunately, the waiter was completely confused and only then brought the wrong food. Unfortunately, too rarely anyone came to order a drink. Prices would be okay too.

For a "platter" I expected more food. Also for that price. The fries were one of the best I ever had, but the quantity was a bummer. The meat was a bit dry for the both of us. Service is 5, because my friends meat was not cooked all the way and they fixed the old ones + gave a new piece. Ill show what I got and what Im used to get from a "teller". The first pic is from upclose. It looks bigger than it is. The teller on the second picture is also filled with gyros on the bottum.

I had the Bauernplatte and holy dear sweet mother of the Lord Almighty himself, it was delicious! The service was excellent and while the food took a little long to come out, I didn't mind the wait since the atmosphere was relaxing and inviting, the draft beer was excellent, and the food was worth the wait.

Food was really tasty and I have to say that it was the first time that a restaurant managed to prepare something that I didn't like but it was totally delicious. I had a bifteki with sheep's cheese. At first I didn't know it was sharp cheese. I only noticed it later than I had already ordered. At first I was worried about whether I would like it, but when I got it and ate it I thought it was really tasty. The staff themselves were extremely friendly and moving things from outside to inside wasn't a problem because it was too cold. Overall, great evening.

Where have the good years gone? Everyone can eat a portion and a drink for over €60, okay! Unfortunately there was no ouzo……. I then paid with a card and asked for a proof of rating, but the waiter didn't think it was that great (really now)

It was good in the winter, but not anymore. It appears the owner has changed. Quantities are smaller. The taste is also not that good anymore (very slightly rancid). Menu changed, less choice. Gyros with pink pieces, fingerprint in the red sauce. Service is overwhelmed. You can t. Currently only eating outside, good, it was warm, but flies ate with us. There was no Ouso either. Was one of our favorite restaurants, not anymore. Cheeky: Change was automatically withheld (even if it was a small amount).

Gyros plate was not ok. Pork is ok, service is ok.

Update June 24: We were here again and the service was much better. +1 for that Unfortunately the service was overwhelmed because it was understaffed. But this is just a general problem. The food was OK. I'll try it again sometime, but this time it wasn't good.

The food and service were good. However, I was disappointed that there was no ouzo on the house. Real Greek restaurants offer this as a sign of hospitality. This tradition was missing and marred my experience. I hope this will be reintroduced in the future.

Food was good and the behaviour of the person who was serving us was also very nice and kind. The only thing that made my whole experience monotonous was that the prices what we got at the end in the bill were different than what was written in menu card. I would have given a tip but i think they already took care of that in the bill so i did not bother to rather i found some extra things in bill and also noticed that i was already paying little more on everything. So i think if they take care of that whole experience will be top. Honesty goes long way.
